• Synchronization of signals on my SBRIO problem

  Hi all

  I need some advice on how to complete my project.

  I need to send a 32 bits of data to my unit test with the following parameters. CLK + FS + and +.

  The clock runs at 4 MHZ. The FS + sends a bit length 33 of high for the treatment of the data signal, and in this context, I need to send my 32-bit data.

  What I did is I created 3 loops as shown in my diagram.

  1. the first loop is a loop timed to generate my clock pulses. I run at 8 MHZ with the low and high signals in loop rotation.

  2. the second loop is for my frame sync signal using the rising edge of the clock over an external trigger (SEND DATA) to start the sequence. It has two red WAITING to the 0 graduation and 330 ticks (by tick is 25ns).

  I have compiled up to this version of the code and run it with all the problems. I was able to generate the signal FS + 2ns after the clock rises and is to have cycles of clock exactly 33 in length.

  3. the third loop which is I'll have trouble at this time is designed to loop data. I also used the pulse of the clock and the external data to start the sequence. I used one signal to WAITING to delay the start of the data by 1 clock cycle and use a loop for send data from 32-bit to 250ns (10 ticks) per line.

  The problem is that I do not get the result I want. The departure of the bits is always erratic and not 1 clock cycle of delay that I hoped. Also the first bit is much too small for the 250ns.

  Can someone tell me where I'm wrong? Is there another way to address the issue?

  As a short response, I would recommend combining the three sets of loops in a single state machine.  All three loops are intended to be based on the field of derivative 8 MHz clock.

  As a longer answer and to explain the behavior you see... the time of the present code is assigned by the data through the areas of the clock.  The details are in this help message LabVIEW FPGA: implementation of multiple clock domains with the overcoming of the areas of the clock (using a tunnel in the field to clock 8 MHz timed loop to the domain block diagram clock 40 MHz), LabVIEW is obliged to implement a hand shaking algorithm to maintain the integrity of the data.  This shaky writing consumes FPGA (logic cells) tissue and takes 25ns several clock cycles to run, as well as creates unwanted delays.  In addition, the third loop cannot guarantee that code data will trigger off the same synchronization signal as the second for loop because of the handshake that occurs for the data to pass through the loops of 8 MHz.

  I would recommend that base you all of the communication out of a single loop timed in a configuration called a state machine.  Essentially, timed with a looping structure business inside, where each picture of the structure of the case is a different State.  Breast of a timed loop state machine, does not have the 'wait' function, so the delays must be implemented with a 'status quo' State which is repeated N number of times to match the time required.  The following link leads to a state machine similar to the SPI communication that would be a good example for the implementation of this communication: Example of SPI LabVIEW FPGA.

  This code is a little more complicated than what may be absolutely necessary to your application, but it is an excellent example of a scalable & flexible of the notion of core implementation (this code can easily be migrated to new hardware targets or add multiple replicated or modified communication to the same architecture protocols.)

• JavaScript - WebHelp and FlashHelp

  Our group was developing RoboHelp webhelp files for a software application and we are concerned that if Javascript is not enabled in the browser, our records show as expected (popups and DHTML links does not). I searched for flashhelp to work around this problem, but once again the files are not displayed in the recommended manner if Javascript is disabled. Any suggestions?

  If you used Flash and wanted our people to see your product, forget it. Note that some companies do not allow the use of Flash products. The use of Flash evades anything; It does not limit your potential customer base.

  As for JavaScripts enabled, it is not that you can do in other State "Activé JavaScript" in your statement of product requirements. You can use a script to test the status and if not enabled by default for a page that lists your needs. A quick search on the Web will get many hits/samples.

  I based on the example of standard state machine and would like some advice on how I can prevent labview in the next state until a user clicks a button.

  for example, the current state is 1, it runs through its code and its about to happen at the end, therefore, enter the following State, based on the defined constant "then of States." There are only two choices on how the machine should proceed, rto status to State 5 or 4 bedroom.  However, if I used a "select" function where other State is determined by the Boolean value of a switch, how to set up my code that labview is not just assumne the current switch (probably a 'low' is the value of boolena to use.

  IM is probably not very clear, but hope that you understand my problem.

  Simply add a case to handle the 2 buttons until the case of the action is over. You can use a ' wait on the UI"function if you do not want to interrogate the buttons. You may experience problems if you use the event structure to implement this. If you use more structure and then 1 event in your code, you can get a problem with UI suspended indefinitely. This happens if a key is managed by a structure of the event in another part of the loop. Locks user interface until he is executed, but it cannot be run because it is in another case. You must use only 1 structure of the event to handle all of your entries, but if you do that, then, you will have the problem to allow only certain buttons at certain points. For example, you want to only 2 & 3 active after action 1 action buttons and the buttons that are used to go to other disabled at this stage steps. It will be messy. Better just to add an extra case after every case of action that deals with the interaction of the user for the next case. In the example that I joined, I placed action buttons in a cluster that is passed to all cases allowing you to get the keys you need when you need it. You could of course just to put the buttons in cases where necessary, but I prefer the first method.

  My client is looking for a way to be able to target its newsletters/campaigns by State.

  The way I think I should be able to do this is for me to set up the subscription form so that it adds the user to multiple mailing lists. Is this feasible? If Yes, do you there is some resources are circulating which could help?

  One way you could do this is to create a form in line (or modify an existing one) and add all the mailing lists you have, something like that.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 - it came with Vista - I carefully cleaned the HARD drive and installed XP - I deleted the partitions etc. and started with a HDD in a perfect state of cleanliness.

  Then, I downloaded all Toshiba drivers that are available for my model.

  When I close the lid it still fully powered - there is no option to go into sleep mode, Hibernate etc in the options of "close cover" - the only option is the "status quo".
  How can I get the standby extended/standby/power options back?

  Method 1

• Images not loading in IE 9.0

  My customer has been informed by some web tech that his site photos will not appear in IE 9.  He also said that it was a matter of CSS settings and is an easy fix.  I have no problems in all other browsers.  My browser compatibility checker can find without problem for IE 9, and I was able to see for myself at the IE 9.

  Someone at - he heard of this problem and know the fix?

• Adobe RoboHelp Tech Support

  I am a user of HR 8, at the present time. I'm hoping to get a time frame of the current user of the forum participants (and anyone who wants to chime in) about the State of Technical Support of Adobe RoboHelp and any hope of improvement.

  I know that two or three years, Adobe published a letter of apology to the users for the poor state of affairs in the area of customer support. Improvements have been promised. Now, years after these excuses, I'm coming on three months of treatment with support from Adobe - trying to get a clear answer regarding workaround or correction of a bug in RoboHelp. (It is not important what the bug was and let me be clear that my support rep was always very polite.) For now, however, I need to make a recommendation to my manager who upgrade us to RH 9 or the transition to the product of Flare. While I personally want to stay with RoboHelp, I am wary of the support of the equation part and my classmates who have moved to the torch rave about the MadCap protocol support. I am sure that MadCap support is not perfect, and I want to believe that the Adobe support is not quite as catastrophic as the rants that fill the Internet would have us believe. But, can anyone tell me if Adobe management is disturbed at all the support tech very, very bad image there on the Web and by word-of-mouth exchanges? Anyone know if users can expect anything other than the status quo in the coming years?

  You are absolutely right, that Support Adobe has not been up to the mark in the past. There are clear signs, this change in particular regarding Adobe RoboHelp and the Suite of Comm Tech. I had the pleasure of speaking with the product manager, Adobe RoboHelp, Ankur Jain, during the WritersUA Conference and I asked him about the status of the technical support changes which are to be strengthened.

  He assured me that since then supports the management of the product, it focuses particularly on this issue. In addition to a reorganization of this effort recently, he asked his team of engineers to be more directly interested in this forum. As you know, the Adobe Forums are support 'peer to peer '. People like Rick, Peter Grainge, Jeff and a ton of others spend countless hours with the messages and answer (on a voluntary basis by the way!)

  During this time, I noticed a lot of posts that have been made directly by the Adobe engineers, even if they're not watching the boards formally. Sometimes we "experts (cringe)" will send a post to the genius when we hit a wall on a topic. They often put back directly very quickly.

  Bottom line is that you can certainly be assured of the commitment of Adobe RoboHelp after so many years of neglect by previous owners. There were four excellent versions since 2007 and many more interesting things are looming.

  No one has better things to do "fear uncertainty and doubt", as our competitive friends. They are masters at home. So, carefully consider your experience and your knowledge of RoboHelp vs the learning curve that is sure to need any tool you can use.

  Nevertheless, the authors in the trenches, but also the people of Adobe will be here to help.

  You can't use button_mc.gotoAndPlay ("_out") is true to test for nothing, since gotoAndPlay is a function.

  Instead, you can use button_mc._currentframe to test the current frame number. That means that you will have to find the number of the image you have the '_out"label stuck on... and then use this number as follows (say"_out"falls on frame 4).

• Shockwave Flash 20.0.0.235 set to update automatically, however...

  Under December 2015 Adobe Security Bulletin, I wanted to check my previous Shockwave Plugin update and viola! It was already updated to 20.0.0.235 in date from 12/08/2015. Great! That said, I also noted that, under the foregoing to day was a previous November 2015 Shockwave 19.0.0.245, still in place... a bit strange, nespau? I'm wrong, but the new update should completely replace the old, do not install the older version of again and remain status quo? Doesn't seem to be a problem in terms of performance, however, I would be recognizing opinions as to whether the latter should be removed manually, or left as that is.

  First try to restart Firefox if it was running when updating Adobe Flash Player. Sometimes the Flash Player doesn't have older version on Windows.

  You can use the uninstaller to uninstall Flash Player, and then install the current version.
