LAPAC1750PRO & Cisco 2960-S - LACP issues Switch

I currently have a layer 2 Cisco 2960-S switch. It has 48 port Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 SFP ports. I have Setup 3 VLAN on the switch VLAN 10, 11, 255. VLAN 10 is for my home equipment, VLAN 11 for my Audio/video/server equipment and VLAN255 is my network of comments. It's all behind a normal router from D-Link 4 port every day. All correctly connected working processes.

I have the LAPAC1750PRO access point, I went ahead and ran 2 Cat6 cables so I could take advantage of the link aggregation 802.3d of the Access Point. I configured the passage from what I can tell properly. The problem is that when I turn on the two links AP causes beating port and stop passing traffic. If I disable the second link (leaving the active primary link) everything is stable. Speed is decent on my laptop, and from my iPad, it's fantastic.

Does anyone have experience using the Protocol LACP (link Aggreagtion 802.3d) with this Access Point? I really want to use this so I can get 2 Gbps throughput of this device to my other devices.

I'll be happy to post my Cisco Configuration so if someone is paid enough in that as well.

OK - I thought about it. He was not at all a problem with the switch or my setup. This is the problem...

Here's the question – and how I fixed it.

1 cisco switch - Configuration:

That's right - this force LACP on the unit and do not have to worry about negotiating/connections protocols.

2. access point - if it is already configured - factory reset the unit. LACP must be enabled during active keybord with DHCP boot. After that you can configure it as you want.

What I had to do so was by default the access point and let it be starting with LACP rebuild - I wonder if this is due to something in the firmware that, once the NIC is configured, they become hardcoded and do not change to different settings?

Whatever it is - this problem is solved.

  • Gateway to Comcast Business class SMCD3G-CCR and Cisco 2960 G switch

    Hello

    I'm looking to upgrade my silent switches to a Cisco 2960 switch.  I wanted to check and make sure that this configuration would be funded.

    I need to configure the 4 VLANS on Cisco 2960 switch, 1 for the vmotion traffic, which would have no internet access, one for management traffic that does not have internet access, for standard server traffic and traffic vmserver, who should access to the internet.

    The Cisco switch working with gateway SMCD3G-CCR ok, or do I need another router for this?  If yes why?

    I don't know if this is the right forum but I know that Cisco linksys bough, so I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

    Hi Experts,

    I am trying to add a Cisco SMB SF300 - 24 Switch to an infrastructure that has only the Cisco Catalyst switches

    The base layer is Cisco Cataylst 4503. Distribution is Cisco Catalyst 3560 and Cisco 2960 switches access layer.

    There are about 30 VLAN present in the infrastructure that is announced to all switches using VTP. Inter VLAN routing takes place at basic switches

    by creating the Interface VLAN for each VLAN of L2.

    1. the new 150 VLAN must be created on the new Cisco SMB switch. If I create a corresponding interface 150 VLAN on core switches, it will forward the other VLANs traffic just as he is currently working for Cisco 2960 Catayst switches?

    2. While they inspected, I could see that the DERIVATIVE is not supported on the Cisco SMB switches and I would need to go GVRP if I need to make advertising information to other switches VLAN. But since GVRP is only supported on CatOS and there is no inter operability between GVRP and DERIVED, I would need to manually create the VLAN on the new switch. Is this correct?

    My name is Johnnatan I am part of the community of support to small businesses, I saw your post and I understand that you want to configure VTP and GVRP.

    I'm afraid you will have to configure it manually each Vlan in each device CatOS GVRP, in order to keep their databases vlan in sync. As you say, VTP is support it not in CatOS

    You can try to connect the two protocols, but I encourage you do not follow this procedure.

    On your question about intervlan routing, if you create a corresponding interface 150 VLANS on switches to base it is routed, if your configuration is correct (port access, ports of junction, intervlan etc..)

    I have 4 ports SFP + Module switch M8024-K. I want to establish connectivity 10Gig between M8024-k and Cisco WS-C2960S-24TD-L switch. I'm not able to find the exact Dell transmitter/receiver part number required for 4-port SFP + Module and cord Patch LC - LC-OFC required dell. I have no problem with Cisco parts.

    Kindly suggest exact reference numbers.

    This transceiver is listed on the list of compatibility of the server but not the switch. It can work in the switch, but I can't confirm that it will be because he is not on the compatibility list.

  • Cisco 2960, no mail, solid green system switch of death?

    I have 2 - WS-C2960-24TT-L past. Both are facing the same question.

    When they started, all lights are flashing on the indicator panel mode, then it goes directly to a solid green "SYSTEM." Nothing written on the console cable. I tried computers, cables, and different rates of transfer standard. None of the ports developed regardless of how long each switch is powered. The Mode key during boot produced the same result, nothing.

    Looks like they are dead, however, I thought this would be the place to go for ideas. I can relive these switches?

    the switch is 2 N4032 with 1 40 g stacking cable. extended frames are not yet activated.

    two r720s of dell with lacp ethernet 10g across the two switches. a ubuntu running 16.04, the other debian with kernel 4.4.6 jessie.

    Aggregation of links kind of can be considered a road. Adding extra lanes to the highway will pass total number cars that can be on the road and reduce congestion. However, the limit speed of the road remains the same.

    Your results are correct and are the behaviour expected of an OFFSET.

    It's my first modern exhibition switches Dell; but I played a little with Cisco kit.   Then, someone whose had more time on a VRTX me has received indications linking the module _switch_ of a VRTX to a Cisco TOR (C4948) switch?

    The deployment is for ESXi (5.1) and requires several VLANS on the VRTX blades.  There are only half a dozen of VLAN involved so manual definition is not a big deal. Cisco C4948 requires 802. 1 q on the trunk of cisco-style connection to R1-2401.

    Once that the ILO is the question of the internal port (in the face of the blade-server) configuration...

    General or Trunk mode?

  • How to connect Cisco SG-300-10 L3 switch selector mode in Mode of L2 SG-300-20

    Ladies and gentlemen, please forgive me if you find my question too basic. But, I would really appreciate your help. I have two Cisco switches (SG-300-10 and SG-300-20) and I am struggling to connect with each other.

    Requirements: Switch Cisco SG-300-10 which is in needs of L3 mode to send the traffic of VLAN tagged to the switch Cisco SG-300-20, which is the mode of L2

    What I've done so now

    1 Cisco SG-300-10 (Mode L3) to the router directly connected and configured IP addresses, 192.168.0.21. The GVRP is configured for Port 5. Created the VLAN 1000 with interface IP (192.168.100.1) and configured the Port 5 trunk mode (1U, 1000 t)

    2 connected Cisco SG-300-20 (L2 Mode) to the router and set up the IP address management, 192.168.0.22. The GVRP is configured for Port 5. 1000 of VLANS created and configured the Port 5 trunk mode (1U, 1000 t)

    What does not work

    I can't access the address of management of the L2 (192.168.0.22) switch. Note that the L2 switch only on the uplink, which is to the L3 switch. Since the Port 5 also receives no marked traffic of VLAN1 (192.168.1.1), I'm assuming that he would receive the network management of VLAN1.

    Other Observations

    When I connect the cable between the two switches Port5, I expect to exchange information of VLAN, by documentation. But the lights flash at all.

    I think the confusion is the use of the address IP address to you and how you manage your computer.

    VLAN 1 = 192.168.1.1

    VLAN 1000 = 192.168.0.21

    How I read that you connect layer 2 VLAN 1 on 192.168.0.21 switch to layer 3 of the same VLAN 1 interface to 192.168.1.1. It's confusing.

    So first thing to do is this - change layer 2 switch network 192.168.1.x IP and confirm management works on VLAN 1.

    If you want to layer 2 switch works on VLAN 1000, then you need to change the default VLAN 1000, then you can configure your uplink either as the way which you have 1u, 1000 t, or you can use 1000u.

    Your management VLAN on the layer 2 switch is VLAN 1 still unless you changed it (which did you not?)

    A next important thing for the layer 2 switch is going to be the default gateway. The switch of level 3, you need to specify the address IP of the VLAN 1000, which I think you did to 192.168.0.21/24. This 192.168.0.21 must be the default gateway for the layer 2 switch.

    Finally, the computer you connect to layer 3 switch, what that either VLAN that you choose to connect to (1 unidentified), you need to set the IP and default gateway appropriate. So if you're going to VLAN 1 then your computer is 192.168.1.x with gateway 192.168.1.1

    And for the comment extra, GVRP is a horrible Protocol and very pitiful, I don't recommend to use.

  • Lacp 3560 switch circuits

    I'm trying to run a trunk on a four port Lacp group to a form of switch netgear a 3560 but am stuck. Everything works fine if I place a chest with a single autonomous port, and that everything works when I use a group of Lacp 'switchport access' mode, but as soon as I activate "switchport trunk" each gi status goes to "suspended" and no traffic flows.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you for the additional information. The configuration of the ports seems to be ok now.

    After the Show etherchannel , physical ports are individual-State. This would mean that the switches did not negotiate the creation of the Association using the LACP Protocol and ports still work as four individual switchports.

    The neighboring switch talking LACP? If he is put in LACP active mode? At least one device must be in LACP active state, and both must talk to LACP. Maybe you could try to replace orders 1 channel-group passive mode 1 mode channel-group active in your configuration.

    I'm get inter vlan routing to work on a 300-24 ports switch DF.    I have a network of business existing on 192.168.111.0 and want to create a vlan on 192.168.1.1 which can talk to 192.168.111.0.    I activated the layer 3 routing on the switch through the console and also provided ip routing commands. I have the following VIRTUAL networks:

    Vlan1 - default 192.168.111.0

    VLAN2 - 192.168.1.0

    I turned on DNS and provided my two servers DNS 192.168.111.82 & 192.168.111.212.

    I updated the VLAN1 interface 192.168.111.217 and VLAN2 interface 192.168.1.1.

    The FE1 - FE15 ports are access ports and assigned to VLAN1 (unidentified)

    FE16 - FE24 ports are access ports and assigned to VLAN2 (unidentified)

    I put a default route for the switch to 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.111.254 (router Draytek 2600). I have connected a computer (A) at the port of VLAN1 FE3 and a computer (B) to VLAN2 FE16 port.   I put its IP address and computer default gateway has to 192.168.111.217 to 192.168.111.94.    I updated computer B default gateway 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2 IP.

    Computer A has access to the Mdaemon Server files via the network grows but no internet (cannot ping google) and can ping computer B and RDP on computer B.

    Computer B can ping computer A and RDP on A computer but do not have access to the company network i.e. MDaemon, file server etc.   It can also access the internet.

    The console I can ping www.google.co.uk and all the ip addresses in the network of the company i.e. 192.168.111.82 (DNS server).   I do not understand what I am doing wrong and have been banging my head for staretd a few days a new job and desperately need to work so any help would be greatly appreciated

    42 - Protocol deny EVERYTHING 192.168.2.0 0.0.0.255-> to 192.168.111.0 0.0.0.255

    41 - Protocol to deny ALL 192.168.111.0 0.0.0.255-> to 192.168.2.0 0.0.0.255

    40 allow the RDP Protocol TO ALL

    To block everything, including MSSQL, with the exception of the RDP and other ports that you defined above.  The other defined are simply not the RDP Protocol and service work?

  • Join CISCO AP 1041N to a series of 2500 WLC

    Hello

    I have a problem to join CISCO 10 AP 1041N to a series of 2500 WLC.

    I have the following network architecture,

    A Windows Server 2012 R2 (DC, DHCP and DNS server) connected to the CISCO 2960-X Series (this switch is connected to 2 other switches, same model), 10 of the AP and the WLC are connected to the same switch, as I have 3 NIC on the server I use one for Internet between the firewall and the other three are teamed together and connected to the switch.

    I tried the following methods:

    -J' used the 43 Option on the DHCP server: does not work

    -J' added 2 DNS entries (cisco-capwap - controller.mydomain and cisco-lwapp - controller.mydomain): does not

    -UDP Ports CAPWAP and LPWAP are enabled on the Windows Firewall: does not

    My WLC is set mode controller Master, I see all of the AP in the DHCP server with IP addresses assigned by the server and the WLC as well, and they can ping each other.

    Furthermore, the WLC, I have one (management) interface with VLAN ID 0, the server has (VLAN by default) no assigned ID, the switch have VLAN ID 1 (default) and I tried to change all the on the same VLAN ID 1 (server, Switch, WLC) in this case the server is not able to communicate with each other and DHCP does not work.
