If you are running 32 bit Windows 7, XP driver can install in compatibility mode, otherwise you will need a new printer.

  • OfficeJet 7200 series: Images print do not after Windows 8.1 upgrade

I had the problem of images not current print some time ago and I was directed to this forum for a replacement printer driver that fixed the problem... that is until I upgraded to Windows 8.1. The Windows Installer to update replaced this driver with another and no trace of it. I don't remember his name, but it is generic in nature.

    Hi @joefredt ,

I understand that you encounter problems, printing images since the upgrade to Windows 8.1. You used a generic driver previously with Windows 8 that solved the problem. I will do my best to help you today.

From the start screen, (menu tiles) type in "Devices and printers", select settings, click devices and printers.

Click Add a printer. Go through the wizard by selecting the right port (USB 001) and the printer Deskjet 990.

This should solve the problem for you.

  • HP1217nfw wireless printer - print but not scan - Windows 8

    Hello

I can print over the network, but cannot scan.

HP print and scan doctor can see the printer but says I need to install the full software suite. I follow this link and download more free. Where install the 1217nfw is not found by the installer.

Before the manual ip address does not work.

I tried to do the 1217nfw the printer by default - not yet found by the installer.

    Can someone please help.

    Hi Hein_Aggenbag,

I can't wait to hear that you have questions.  The firewall/antivirus can block specific components.  Try disabling the security through MSConfig program services, and then try to add the device software.  Also copies multiples or installs can cause this problem as well. remove all components before running the full functionality can also help. Please click here to complete the following steps to resolve this type of problem.  The information below will be useful for further measures to be taken if the above does not resolve the problem.

    1. at the first successful installation from a CD-ROM or by download (errors, unable to find the device, etc.)?

    2. is the device connected wirelessly or through an Ethernet cable?

    I hope this helps!

  • HP PSC 1110 - print but not Scan under Windows 8 - not supported by the wizard online HP

    Hi all

I wonder if someone can help me. I recently bought a new laptop from toshiba with Windows 8. The printer I have is HP PSC 1110. I have the drive and installed successfully to a degree. It prints, but it is not the scanner. When I opened the Photo and imaging HP program to analyze, it opens but regular icons are simply small squares without links or even the text. So the scan button does not work on the printer and there is no option to analyze when the program is opened - just those strange little squares where the menus and options should be. Also, if I click on a photo to open it in the program, I get the error message "could not start - Ctxld # Hewlett - Packard Pei HPQTHB08 «with the name of photo file to open the here.jpg «»

I tried to reinstall it and I also tried printer install HP PSC 1110 for Windows 8, but at the end of installation, I get the message "the selected printer is not currently supported by this wizard.

Can anyone help or do I really have to get a new printer?

I hope that I didn't destroy your head!

    Kind regards

    Sinnottam

I checked and this printer doesn't have a driver of Windows 8 for him, which explains why you cannot scan using the software of the printer.  Here is a document on how to get a generic driver: 'install a driver of Windows 8' that may be useful.

However, here is a fairly extensive link that provides, not only of workarounds, but the possible solutions for your problems with digitizing:

"Scanning device has not been initialized or errors related to.

Let me know if all of these works.  You have not destroyed me again!

  • Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?

Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?

Did you just upgraded or purchased a new computer with Windows 8, and now you can't get your printer to work?  If so, this can help you.  Many people have questions about the installation of their printer on a new OS.  This will help you answer these questions and make sure you get everything installed.

    Before you start

Before you try to install the printer on a Windows 8, you should check to make sure that the printer is compatible with the new OS.  The link below will give you a list of printers that will work in Windows 8.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03168175

If you have upgraded your computer to Windows 8 formed another version of Windows, make sure all software uninstall complete of your printer.  It should still print, but to use all the features, you will need to reinstall the software, if available.

Another thing to consider is how you want to connect the printer to the computer.

    1. USB.  You must ensure that you have a USB cable which does not exceed 6 feet (about 2 m).  Be sure to connect the printer directly to the computer.  Do not use a USB hub.

    2. Ethernet cable.  Make sure you have the network configuration, you have a free cable port on the router, and you have an available Ethernet cable.

    3. Wireless.  You must ensure that you have the configuration of the wireless network, and you have the password of the wireless network.

    1. installation Via USB

Installation via USB in Windows 8 became much simpler for users of HP printer.  In other versions of the Windows operating system, you need to launch the installation and wait that it asks for the USB connection.  If you do not, you will need to uninstall the printer from the devices and printers folder and then launch the installation.  In Windows 8, which won't be a problem.  If you plug the USB cable from the printer and then install the printer software, work remains.  Now for in depth instructions on installing the printer via the USB port click on the link below.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03521864

2 installation Via an Ethernet network connection

For an Ethernet connected printer, the installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It's really as simple as that.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

3 installation Via a wireless network connection.

For a wireless printer, network installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It is roughly the same as just Wireless Ethernet installation.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

    Alternative installation methods

With Windows 8, the drivers of many printers are installed with the operating system.  These are called pilots InOS, since they come built-in to the operating system.  If you have one of these printers, you should have to do simply connect it to the computer via USB, or connect to the network via Ethernet or wireless.  Once you have that makes Windows will take care of the rest.  There are other methods of installation of your printer if normal methods don't work for some reason any.  You can install the printer is using the printer, or through Windows Updates Setup Wizard.

    Set printer wizard:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02681060

    Windows Update:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03460648

Note: The drivers of Laserjet for the Asia-Pacific and the Japan will come only at a later date.  See below the link support site for the availability of the driver.  I will update this post once they become available.

  • P1102w: Problem installing P1102w, PC, printer is on does not recognize, Windows 8

I have problems to install the printer.  Loads of software and extracted, then when I go to wireless network connection, it says he's expecting me turn on the printer when the printer is turned on and connected to the USB port.  I even changed USB ports.  It is still not let me install.

    Hi @gawright59,

I see that you have problems of configuration of the printer on the wireless network, the printer is not recognized as the USB connection during installation. I will definitely do my best to help you.

This can occur when the printer is already recognized as the USB connection and windows does not yet detect.

The best way to solve this problem is to unplug the USB cable, run uninstall and reinstall the printer software again. Do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted during the installation. Select the wireless installation. (do not install the printer as a USB connection and then run the Wireless Setup Wizard)

The other way to resolve this issue when you receive the message, is to leave the USB cable connected, remove the printer in the devices window and printers and Device Manager.

Here are the steps for access to the devices and printers and Device Manager.

From the desktop, hold down the Windows and X. This will bring up a list, open Control Panel and then devices and printers. Right-click on the printer and on the left, click on uninstall.

    To access the Device Manager:

Press the windows key and press X on the keyboard at the same time in the office.

Then click on Device Manager in the list.

Verify that connections in Device Manager for the entries of the printer, under Bus USB controllers look for a USB print media or anything with an exclamation yellow, storage device or an unknown device. Right click and uninstall the device.

Then reconnect the USB cable and it must be detectable again.

Feel free to click on the "Thumbs up" button below if it helps.

If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

  • HP 2210 printer all-in-one: after updating WIndows 10, I can print but not scan with my HP 2210 all in one

I've updated to Windows 10 and since then I can print but not scan with my HP 2210 all-in-one printer.  I tried to download the software updates, but nothing seems to work.  Any suggestions

    Hi @Sajapand @ddegan

I see that you both scan problems after upgrade to Windows 10, and I may be able to help.

Most of the products have updated software available on the HP support Web site for Windows 10.

I also saw a few posts that say Windows 8.1 driver works for Windows 10 as well, then you could try also.

HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan doctor to diagnose and troubleshoot printing and scanning problems. I recommend you to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor , if she doesn't fix it automatically I would know what errors or messages that you receive.

Do you know if you are able to scan using paint?

To perform a scan of the painting: HP Multifunction printers - how Scan: Windows 8

(This is the same for Windows 10, of what I said)

    1. Click the Start button () in the lower left corner of the screen, click on Searchand type Paint.
    2. Click on the painting in the results.
    3. Click fileand then click on from a scanner or camera.
    4. Select your printer, click OK, and then click Scan.

Please let me know if any of these steps has resolved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

  • Printer does not not on Windows 7

I recently bought a new computer with Windows 7. I have a HP deskjet 940c printer (old but worked fine with XP).  I can't find my original installation disk.  How can I get the drivers to use the printer?  This printer does not have a USB port, only parallel.

  • LaserJet M1522 \HP: I can print but not scan after 10 Windows installed with HP LaserJet M1522 after trying things on this

I spent many hours on this forum today trying to solve my problem.

Everything was fine until Windows 10 installed after I * thought * I hit cancel their incessant commercial.   Before the upgrade of the OS,

    1. I used a shortcut to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\HP\HP LaserJet M1522\Scan which took "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hp\Digital.

    2. a dialog box appears asking me to choose from a list of profiles of scanning that I did. Once what to choose, I have a second dialog box.

    3. I put the "paper Source" flat and the "Picture color" selected option button.

    4. I USED to be able to just click on Scan and then another dialog asking where to save it but neither preview nor Scan make the scanner scan button.  Overview gives me the wave 'an error occurred... ". Select "vernissage" again.  If I click on Scan, just all disappears.

    ______________________________________________________________________

I have tried the following to solve this problem:

    Installation of new drivers.

Doctor to Scan running (here, the green progress bar ends after the "HP M1522nf Scan LI" scanner picking and ending up with an error "Connect without success".)  It allows several options.

    -J' tried power cycling everything.

-Click on retry.  I take the last option in the list and it gives another green bar and I ended up a complete turn to the first page of the Scan Doctor with the "HP LaserJet M1522 MFP Series PCL 6" and "LI Scan M1522nf HP".  Both still have network connections and "installed".

-Continue the Scan doctor, I click install get.   I created which today many times without success.

I came to support and went through what looks like my problem even, but nothing seems to help.  I spent several hours to do.

I should also mention when it came time to download the drivers there are 3 categories.  In the first category, there are 3 drivers.  I went through each of them at this stage.

I realize your question at the top of the page is "HP printers - WIRELESS card Scanner is lost (Windows) ''."

I'm afraid to do an uninstall of HP "stuff" because my computer is a HP and I don't want to aggravate my problems than they already are.

I understand there is a windows application to use for scanning, but because it also controls the camera to the computer, I wanted to stick with the simple scan, which I used for many years now, coming to scan from my HP scanner/printer to my HP computer.

Thanks a lot for your opinion.

    OK, got it to work!

Desinstallion old prinerdriver as good as he got, withdrew the rest of this register and recycled the ' puter.

Then installed latest firmware for the printer (do not know if this was necessary, but it had those of 2009 and the most recent from 2013, so I guess it wouldn't hurt).

Installed the latest universal driver for HP (this still does not solve the problem but...)

Finally reinstalled former driver Win 7 complete solution and then it works. I guess it fills some gaps while retaining the more fresh drivers?

  • Printer does not work. Update Windows drivers seem to be the cause of this.

It is a recurring problem.  The printer stops working.  In the past, I tried to update the Windows driver, but it did not help.  I have uninstall the printer.  I reinstall the printer with my original disk, and everything works great... until this last time, I get the error BLUE SCREEN indicating the USB port that my printer is plugged (: f /) is a malfunction and stop for my protection.  The BLUE SCREEN telling me to check the updates, which there are 2 drivers for my printer, and I download them. Virus scanner, which entered its own; Defrag, which I did, and then run CHKDSK F, who said there is a problem running that.  Honestly, when the computer was working, I don't check what port he used.  Now it doesn't work, I checked the port and it is said USB001.  My computer was back in 2006 and the printer may around the same time.  I went through all the troubleshooting steps, until the uninstallation of a port.  I me am stopped there because 'port' was not clearly defined and I already have enough trouble with this computer, I didn't mess up (again) at all times.   Dell wants much more money to help and I can't understand without asking them to repeat the question several times and using a ton of minutes on my cell phone, and the updates come from Windows anyway.   Does anyone have advice?  I can't afford a new computer right now.  The BLUE SCREEN me freaks really out.  I would try to avoid those.

In short (too late) when I download the printer driver updated from Windows, my printer stops working.  This last time, I got the BLUE SCREEN error that really me freaked out.  Any suggestions?
