• MacBook Pro (retina, mid-2012) will not start

  I have the mac above and I have a weird problem. The mac wouldn't start, I could hear the fan running and if I pressed the power button I can hear her stop.  There is no visible display or no light. the shift lock lights.  Charger lights work normally, if I reset the SMC, the light on the charger goes from green to orange and green. I contacted Apple and they could not help, we have also reset the PRAM.

  I left it on and then when the battery was completely dead, I plugged in the charger and tried to turn it on, I was rewarded with the icon of the dead battery, progress! After a few minutes that he started ok, I had the Apple logo and progress bar and then start.  Alls well well except when he went to sleep, she would not start again until I have go through the flattening of routine battery.  I now have reboot, stopped, started from cold, sleep and he waken up - everything looks ok.

  My question is there will be any newspaper to show what was causing the machine does not go to sleep?  I lost confidence and am very reluctant to go to the genius bar as I don't think they understand the problem.

  All saved entries are found using Console in your Utilities folder. Is simply a software problem, then you can erase the drive and install a new copy of Mac OS X.   The printer is working fine, except for the occasional streaks. The problem is when I try to access the cleaning utilities, etc.. When I try to open the app, I see a flash hourglass for a second or two, and it goes no further. I don't see any new task in the windows Task Manager. I completely uninstalled the printer and reinstalled, no luck. Any thoughts?

  Recently I updated my Mac to the latest OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan. After updating, I randomly got 'failure of the plug-in' every now and then, sometimes while watching a video, it will just stop working.

  I thought it would be that I had not put to update something in my adobe, so I went to my creative cloud to see if there were updates available.

  The only problem is that whenever I open the creative cloud, she is just completely white. At first I thought maybe it was just slow or loading so I left it for a few minutes, but no matter how long I leave nothing changes.

  then, rename the opm.db file by:

  Navigate to the OOBE folder.

  Hi Jade4142.Did try you go to BIOS and set it to the default settings and put the disc in, and then restart. There are many variables to a disc is loading. It could be the Platinum cd/dvd is defective, the disc is dirty, scratched or any black disc market. It you load on the HARD drive that crashed? If so, it could be that the HARD drive is infected? If this is a new HARD disk, you must leave the disconnected HARD drive, start the computer that lights up and looking for a hard drive. In this way the motherboard works independent of the HARD drive. The motherboard doesn't have a HARD drive to boot. Once you start without a HARD disk he won't say you no HARD drive or o/s found. Stop it. Connect the HARD drive for the sake of things a NEW HARD drive. Then start the unit go to BIOS and set to boot from the cd/dvd and then save and reboot. If the disc is genuine, and it's a new HARD drive, it should load without problems.   Well this morning not to wireless and windows reported an error on the boot device.  So I made a restore point from a week ago and it works.  Thanks a lot for dell.  Is there a fix. Or should I just not do updates for a while.  And there is no driver to the backup on.

  If I understand your message, by updating your Mac you have forced stop, or you have closed the lid, and now it does not start.  To start, I suggest that try you to start in safe mode by following the instructions below.  For later use, it's a good idea to not force the computer to shut down or close the lid while it is up to date, because it can cause problems.

  1. Choose the Apple menu > shut down.

  2. After your Mac stops, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

  3. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.

     You must press the SHIFT key as soon as possible once you hear the startup tone, but not before.

  4. Release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

  To exit safe mode, restart your Mac, but no press during the startup.
