Missing/biased impressions &; printer offline on Windows 8/8.1
Hello community!
I came across a problem with certain printers HP and Windows 8 8.1 operating system. Here are a few common questions that will focus on the steps of troubleshooting in this thread;
- Printer offline
- Printer cannot print multiple-page documents
- Printer prints a test page, but not sent documents
- Printer stop printing in the middle of a print job
With the help of JonW and his instructions, I tried to compile a post for this number beginning with a functional work around.
First of all - there are some windows updates that can help with this problem.
(1) install this patch from Microsoft to ensure that this problem of private-public-private network do not recur. It belongs to the April 2014 package Update for Windows 8.1 and Server2012 R2 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2919355).
(2) install this patch from Microsoft for the WSD service. http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/3000461
If this is not enough, then please follow the list of steps below that will give you a workaround solution that can help with this problem.
The printer of the assign a static IP address
An IP address is an address of Internet network that the computer can use to communicate with the printer. Enter a static IP address to make sure that the wireless connection remains stable. Follow these steps to assign a static IP address to the printer.
- Download the printer IP address.
- Press the button on the Control Panel printer wireless to view network settings.
- Access the menu of network on the printer control panel.
- Print a page of the Network Configuration Page or test wireless report.
- Once you have the IP address of the printer, open a new web browser window or tab.
- Type the IP address in the address bar of your web browser and press ENTER.
Make sure that you type the IP address in the browser address box. If you type in a search tool bar area, the SAP does not open.
- If the "There is a problem with the website's security certificate" message in the web browser when you try to open the built-in web server (EWS), or as you navigate through the integrated Web server, click on ' continue to this website (not recommended) "."
Note:
Choose ' continue to this website (not recommended) "will not hurt your computer while navigate it the Web built-in to your printer server. If you encounter this error outside EWS of your printer, your computer might be at risk.
"If the browser cannot open the integrated Web server, after you have clicked on ' continue to this website (not recommended)", refresh the browser window.
(EWS) built-in Web server for the printer opens and confirms that the printer is on the same network as the computer.
- In the EWS, click the network tab.
- In the Wireless section, click on the configuration of network (IP) address or IPv6, depending on your network configuration.
- Manuel IP-click and then click on suggest a manual IP address. An IP address manually, the subnet mask and default gateway shows.
- Once filled with the IP address manually, click the DNS server manually.
Note:
Keep a record of the manual IP address for reference.
- On the Page of Network Configuration that you printed earlier, locate the addresses of DNS server, type the DNS address in the preferred DNS server and DNS server auxiliary manual manual fields and then click on apply.
If the DNS addresses are not listed on the Network Configuration Page, or if you have difficulties to access the network or the Internet with the original DNS addresses, use one of the following methods to obtain the DNS addresses.
- Method: use the public DNS server addresses
Configuration of the printer using the publicly accessible DNS server addresses. To find available DNS server addresses, search online for "the public DNS servers.
After finding the public DNS server addresses, type the addresses in the preferred DNS server and DNS server auxiliary manual manual fields, and then click on apply.
- Method 2: obtain the network DNS information via your computer
Select your operating system and then use the following instructions to obtain DNS server addresses.
- Click on the Start button () or the lower left corner of the screen, click Run, type cmd, and press ENTER.
- When the command window opens, type ipconfig/all, and then press ENTER. Information on the network from the computer screens.
- Highlight, then look for the addresses of DNS server.
- In SAP, type the DNS addresses in the preferred DNS server and DNS server auxiliary manual manual field and then click on apply.
- Print a test page to make sure that the IP address of the printer is him even that you have assigned.
- Click on the Start button () or the lower left corner of the screen, click Find, type HP, click your printer in the results. Click utilities, and then click Update IP address to update the address in the software.
Add a wireless network printer using the control panel
Go to control panel and choose devices and printers
Click on add a printer
The PC will find the local network and display network printers.
Select the printer and click Next
The system will try and auto select a compatible driver
Select the current driver and click Next
The system will then ask you a name for the printer. The user can change the name, and then click Next
The user can then choose to share the printer
The user may choose to make this new default printer, and then click Finish.
The new printer is now configured, but this printer will use the driver in OS (class) instead of the full function of HP driver.
To change the printer using the HP driver full function follow the instructions below. I recommend you replace the driver HP driver full function that the user can then use features such as custom paper sizes.
Return to the control panel and select devices and printers, right-click on the newly created printer and select printer properties
Choose the Advanced tab
Click the driver set and choose the printer driver has no driver class of words after it.
Click on apply and then OK and the driver will be changed to the driver for the HP printer full function.
The user should try this configuration and see if they still have problems.
Printing should not be a problem more. Please let me know your back feed, and if these measures have helped.
Good luck and good impression.
See you soon,.
Hi pixystixy99,
Try to access the printer from devices and printers properties. When you open the printer on the Office Assistant, it opens printing options, which does not change the driver.
See you soon,.

HP8620: Printer offline, Windows 10, worked fine until a few days ago
I have a wired network printer, HP8620. In the last few days, every time I turn on my laptop (HP spectrum), also connected by wire to the network printer is offline - it will not be printed.
Reports HP print and utility Scan doctor that the printer is offline, but Microsoft Word and other applications do not, print saying the printer is offline. I can solve the problem by turning the printer off and on again.
I've seen suggestions that it is a problem of SNMP status, but when I go to the printer properties, Ports and select "Configure Port", I get an error message "an error occurred during port configuration", "this operation is not supported", so I can't uncheck SNMP, as suggested elsewhere. Any ideas?
Thank you
Philippe

Printers network returns to 'Use printer offline' system recovery (extended). The questions appear to affect all versions of Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit).
Printed documents are queued on the local PC, waiting for the printer to come online. The box can be seen by selecting devices and printers from the Start button. Double-click the printer service (usually the default printer) to open the printer window. Click on the "Printer" menu item in the window of the printer. The 'use printer offline' will be checked. It requires a privilege to administer to uncheck the 'use printer offline '. The printer begins to print queue elements. The option "Use Offline printer" will remain off until the PC then wakes up from his sleep.Printer has a static IP address and the last HP printer driver. is connected by WiFi to router. My printer is not printing. It say problem connecting to the server, connection error server and printer offline. I have a HP photosmart printer and windows 7.
You have McAfee? McAfee has been updated at the same time as the last batch of updates from Windows 7 and it seems to be the cause of this problem for most, if not all, users.
See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee
You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.
I got McAfee, but the connection has started working again on its own so I thought I was clear of problems. However, when I checked it says he was doing routine checks the updates in vain when I told it to do a manually. So stick with McAfee you don't follow their procedure of fix would have upgraded my PC at risk by not updated and, like other McAfee ads have since explained, the application did not refer to its database of threats correctly [and this could explain part of the variability of the symptoms of failure but all involved loss of internet connection]. Actually, I removed McAfee then installed Microsoft Security Essentials rather & my answer IE is faster I knew it [even though I had the Add-ons McAfee disabled for centuries].
I had to run the removal of McAfee Development tool a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction. Due cat of McAfee support reset their files in order to allow the relocation-reactivation. Here is their link cat - McAfee - media contains the link to the cat

Canon printer MX410 constantly goes offline on Windows 8
Hello
My Lenova Ideapad Z580 constantly 'loses' the shared wireless printer. The only solution I have is to uninstall the driver, and then reinstall the driver to 'find' it on the network again. Any reboots causes this to happen, but is found also at random times when the laptop has not been turned off. We even reset the printer and then re-installed on the network in the event that something had changed there. None of the other laptops in our House (using various platforms) has this problem, so I have to assume that there is an error in Windows 8.I've had this laptop in April 2013, but this problem did not begin until July 2013, I think that an update may be the culprit. Is this a known problem and is there a fix permanent, that I can use? Thanks in advance for any help.Hello
