  This morning my Tecra M3 green screen LCD turned and then slowly disappeared in a cloudy cloud.
  When I restarted I had a large screen with red and white rays online and weird graphics.

  Windows XP logo comes up but is covered with white lines vertical white followed by many bosses of white stripes horizontal but then the OS is not kick in and I end up with a white screen.

  Maybe 5 minutes later I hear the theme of Windows but still no office - nothing.
  I don't see/hear the spinning of the HD.

  I tried to boot mode safe, where I always get red and white patterns, but I can make the text to start safe mode.
  I have recently re-installed XP of the original system DVD (version 2006 - I think) and everything seemed ok so far.

  I have a load of work to go for HELP!
  Is is ok to continue working normally in Safe Mode - it is possible to connect in this mode?

  Safe mode is option that offers access in the operating system preinstalled if there is a problem and that you cannot use it in normal mode. In safe mode OS will be loaded with a minimum configuration and without important driver. It is not the solution for you.

  If I understand you, now you have the own operating system preinstalled. Try to start as usual and see what happens. I fear you have serious hardware problem and there is not a lot that you can do everything alone. Is the defective LCD screen or the graphics card does not work properly. What you can do is to test it with the external monitor. If these lines will be displayed again it is certainly because of the faulty graphics card.

  In any case, contact service and see what they can do for you.

  I got WiDi running, but it crashed the Tecra Z50-A-169
  It is not possible, that I do not understand why of resettlement.

  Registry may be damaged.
  Try to do a restore of the system in a week or two.
  Or try a registry cleaner like CCleaner.

  This has been raised before but I can not get this program to run.  I've used it on my desktop with xp and it works well.

  I have two identical laptops & this program installs but then nothing more than 1st page. In the compatibility section it says "incompatible application detected."

• Tecra M11 - random crashes with Windows 7

  We had a Toshiba Tecra M11 Windows 7 who has a problem in which he randomly falls down, forcing the user to hard it reboot. When it crashes, the fans to the top spin, don't know if that means anything. We tried many things to fix.

  At first, we thought it might be overheating, which would explain the fan, but the laptop has been through a 24-hour stress test absolutely perfect with normal temperatures. The laptop is not necesarrily do something stressful when it fails we also tried reinstalling some of the key drivers and also intalled the BIOS more recent (2.60), but still the same problem.

  It breaks down up to 2 times per day, but can also go a few days without crashing. It's a very strange problem and we would highly appreciate a fix for it.

  Maybe it s RAM related question RAM memory may be affected and would force the OS crashing
  I put t know if that would be helpful, but try to test the memory, run the memtest86 utility
  But note; These controls are not always successful means that even the memory is faulty, the error may not be detected by these software

  Have you tried to reinstall the OS?
  This should be done as well.

• Tecra S5 Vista Business SP1 - Tempro crashes instantly

  I think that the idea of Tempro is just great. This allows me to keep all the drivers updated. Unfortunately, it didn't work for a few days and never again. Now, I received a notification of update that Tempro 1.2 is out.

  Installed and I hope that my misfortunes of the past will be more. No luck. So I'll try again to find out why and I hope someone on this forum can help identify why Tempro should simply crash the second that it is started.

  I see that you have installed a lot of 3rd party software.
  Hey Buddy, I got the Zonealarm too and I wasn't satisfied. This tool always requires approvals and other applications didn't work properly.

  I m wondering if the Tempro crashed after installing a new OS from Toshiba. I mean you could test to see if a 3rd party tool affect this software.

  I would recommend taking the recovery disk and reinstall the operating system. Updated the Tempro, then check if the problem still persists.

  Sorry, but buddy is a way to discover what causes this problem.

  Had problems with Tecra M11 119 under XP PRO.

  installation of XP is GOOD and works perfectly, but if I try to do a ghost the computer crash to about 15% (about 2-3 minutes)
  I have successfully install the TECRA S11 with XP PRO and they work WELL, and the Ghost is OK

  Then I try to load the ghost S11 on the M11 and same computer problems at 15% (about 2-3 minutes) crash (this with 2 different M11)
  I try to compare BIOSes S11 and M11, but they are same (not even a version more options the bios S11)

  PS when I say Crash I mean that the decision of any computer.

  Does that mean exactly? The laptop hangs when you create an image of partition C or what?
  Could you be more specific?

  The laptop supports the controller SATA HDD did you include the SATA (from Intel Storage Manager) driver to the image?

  I have a Tecra M9 with Windows Vista business, and when I close the lid on the laptop that Windows puts on hold. When I open the lid, although wakes up the computer screen but it crashes.

  Even if I have the machine on the docking station when I disconnect the machine crashes.
  Any ideas? Any help much appreciated.

  I don't know what you mean in crashes, but I know that this can happen after the standby/hibernation mode, that this sound card is not recognized correctly.   Unfortunately, this path is not easy to say anything because, who know what did you do with OS and how is your personal configuration. If this problem occurs because some time roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool.

  I have problem with my Tecra S2.
  My Tecra S2 is crash after a few second after login to the operating system if dynamic CPU frequency mode is enabled, but this problem does not occur if I set the frequency of the CPU always low.

  If you said crashes this means everything is OK just that you can not use your mouse double Point? Am I wrong?

  Please check all the settings in the properties of the mouse, especially under the dual pointing device.
  Check also with FN + F9 if your mouse is disabled.

  I have a Tecra (40 GB) 9100 lately, my Desktop (!) and Windows Explorer crashes on me. When I finish the task and relaunch in the Task Manager, the performance of the processor goes to 100%, and the fan starts going CRAZY (obviously) good that only one or two applications are running. What happens here?

  To be honest I've never seen this error message and I think it s a problem with Windows XP.
  I put t know if you have installed all the patches available for Win XP or not but I really recommend you update the operating system to the last State.

  A few days ago I installed the XP SP3. It was a beta version, but it works very well.

• Tecra A4 - freezing / crashing after start upward

  My Tecra A4 is nearly 3 years old and over the weekend, it just started to freeze within minutes of the start.
  The point at which the machine crashes seems to be when all the various treatments start are completed. The hard drive seems to be stopped and at that time there it freezes.

  I managed to make it work for more than start a full crawl. Sounds weird I know, but as long as the hard drive is active the machine seems ok.
  It is still then up to a point and freezes leaving me with the only option of the laptop off the power by pressing the power button. Oddly enough, I didn't press the power button I have to just tap on it and the machine switches off completely. The longest, I got it to work for since is so fortunately I managed to copy 20 minutes on all my photos etc.

  I thought to try the recovery disk, but as I'm not sure why it freezes so I do not know if this will help?

  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  No one will be able to say exactly why your laptop freezes.
  Perhaps only the operating system is confused upward and therefore, it does not work properly. This should be checked permanently.

  But in my opinion, the laptop crashes because of the higher internal temperature.
  Perhaps the highest temp affect that the memory modules and this would lead to these symptoms of the computer.

  I had something like that on my old laptop and one of the modules was of damage due to heat.
  I replaced the modules of memory, clean the cooling fans and fans using a jet of compressed air and the laptop works fine now.

  In your case perhaps only cooling grids cleaning would be necessary.
