MXP to F 9.0.2 F 5.0 upgrade

I want to improve all my systems MXP for the last F 9.0.2. Some of my MXP systems run 5.0, F 6.0 and 7.0 f F.

I need to upgrade in stages for these systems, which is upgraded to F 6.0, then switch to F 7.0, then upgrade to F 8.0 and then switch to F 9.0.2?

You don't have to step up a version at a time.  You can go right at the latest.  The only exception is if you are running version 3.0; You must pass at least 3.0 before continuing.

  • Does anyone know why an edge 95 MXP will call himself?

I have an Edge 95 MXP and call himself all the time... the call is a SIP call of [email protected] / * /a call of 64K and the IP address. I don't have the power off because it's in the ceiling.  The unit is also recorded as a 3rd party endpoint call Manager 10.5... The unit can make calls at our other fine video devices. I had to set the unit to auto-answer, so it does not sound at all times.

Usually, it is because your getting analyzed by applications such as SIPVicous tent identify opportunities for exploitation of circuits on UDP SIP PSTN.

In general, this risk is mitigated by closing the firewall ports for the endpoint or by making a few changes to its configuration.  On a codec of series C, EX, SX, MX running TC software that is easy, but I do not know the equivalent commands (if there is) for a codec MXP.  However, you should be able to block the scans that cause this by closing the port UDP 5060 if the codec is open on your firewall.  If she goes by a gatekeeper as a VCS server you could disable UDP, I do not know CUCM.

This has been asked several times, do a search in the forums for "100 @" found the following results, although they all have to do with a series C or VCS codec, but it's all the same question.  The unit is publicly accessible via the internet, it's just a matter of closing or adjustment of the endpoint configuration or call control server.

    Any ideas?

    Philippe

    I had this problem myself.

In my case, it was due to a corrupt firmware image.  Manager software TMS showed that firmware was on the server; the problem is that the file was corrupt and much smaller that it should have been.  Upgrades using this inevitably failed file - even if reported as successful MSD!

Take a look on your server in your software repository location (most often

C:\Program Files\TANDBERG\TMS\wwwTMS\Public\data\SOFTWARE) and see if the file looks suspiciously small (or something else).  You can manually copy the file to that location.

  • Tandberg 6000 MXP video call Source missing

Hello, I have have a 6000 MXP running F9.3.1 and has been for awhile now.  It was recently discovered that the video source of the call is not the camera that we want displayed.  When I checked the list of options, only some of the available entries were actually there.  Video 1, PC, VNC and current are there, but not video 2.

I want 2 video as source video of my call, and I am quite sure, it has been defined in this way in the past, or have heard about earlier.  I have down graded to F9.3, but has not made a difference.  I confirmed that this source of start-up and snap shot source all have the right options.

After checking several other systems MXP running F9.3.1, I see that they are also not the same thing.  Is there anything I can do to call video Source using Video 2?

    Darren

Hmm interesting. The MXP for F9 Administrator's guide at least shows that it is possible to define,

but I also see that it only supports some sources:

  • Gel-presentation SX20 to MXP endpoints

We have a problem where a codec SX20 in presenter view showing a slide of that presentation freezes as the slides is advanced on 7 1700 MXP endpoints.  The other end points do not see the presentation in advance.  it freezes right on their end.  Devices are saved on a server of VCS control and we have an old legacy MCU, MPS200.  The MPS200 could be the bottleneck?

We have a new Cisco 5300 MCU, that we're converting.  I would like any advice or thoughts related to this.

  • Replacement of 6000 MXP Integrator with unique display. C40 SX20 vs?

I have to make a quick decision and my CISCO sales representative is MIA :(

We have a bunch of 6000 s MXP (package ingegrator), I would like to replace. They are simple installations with a single monitor on a roll integer grid.

with output to the screen and a camera is there any point to spend the extra money for a C40 vs getting a SX20? From a point of view video capability they look pretty well. C40 more things gets me in the back, but it is a pretty simple setup.

Just looking for what people here could do?

    Thank you!

Although C40 and SX20 are two different solutions for videoconferencing from Cisco, an integrator (c40) and other is fast setting solution (SX20).

The SX20 Quick Set is designed to provide multi-party and Conference video to high definition with the flexibility to adapt to various configurations - all at a value price and size of the room.

C40 is for Integrator supports for integration with 3 party like crestron devices, mixers.

two take in charge the premium 1080 p solution.

both are excellent solutions and are mind blowing in the feature and the feature as compare to the MXP series.

You can't go wrong with either.

    Hi Sam,

Unfortunately MXP endpoints are still not supported for registering for the CUCM. Support is available for the series C and Ex-material of the series right now. You can see the release notes of the MXP software for updates in the future.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Ing,

There seems to be some contractual problems, you need to prosecute TAC for the reason of the integrity and security of data.

may be that it will be not supported by the current state however there are still have alternatives.

I can give you an overview.

This device is not showing any contract and could not find any customer order number, probably you can anticipate that you would have the documents of purchase for this device.

You can join the account manager for your company that manages the update of contracts like this

as the now he gets that one associate who is the product key and is installed to make edge 95

    no other option generated

as I do not have the SO or PO number can not verify if there was another option purchased,

You can reach the center of sales cisco for any purchase of additional keys, or your accounts team

    Thank you

  • Differences and versions of firmware Tandberg 880 MXP

    Hello

I'm a bit confused about the differences of the Tandberg 880 MXP device firmware.

My camera shows itself on the webGUI what follows:

    Software version: E5.3 PAL

When I check the Cisco site, https://tools.cisco.com/SWIFT/LicensingUI/Quickstart#, I see for my device:

    Dispatched current SW SW
    B4.3 B4.3

Also when I check the key to Version shipped on the page of Cisco, it does not match the Option key pressed in the webGUI on the device.

Is any other firmware available for this device? I've heard of some issues of security vulnerability / like this:

If you're upgrading to F8 or below, you can contact TAC and steer them to the Security Council, with it, you can get the MXP F9.3.1 software for free without needing a service contract.

    Thank you

    Maarten

If it is running E5.3PAL, then it is likely, that this is one of the old 880 s classic and not the MXP.

The latest version of the software E-series is E5.3 that you're already running.

  • End of sale (EoS) / end of life (EoL) information on Cisco TelePresence system 1700 MXP

I have a question about the EoL (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collaboration-endpoints/eos-eol-po...) policy and the announcement of EoS/EoL Cisco TelePresence system 1700 MXP (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints...).

According to the policy of the EoL, paragraph 4 ter, "after the first year and for the operating system SW - if available - we will offer bug fixes, versions of maintenance, workarounds or patches for a period of 4 years for operating system software."  Therefore, it is 5 years after the Date of the EoS, which could make the OS support close on 28/02/2017 EoL products.  I'm one to believe that a product and its applicable operating system are good as long as the company provides patches for bugs/flaws.

My question is about the migration of the product suggestions.  The suggestion is to "migrate to the Cisco EX Series (the EX60 or solution EX90) telepresence system."  However, when the announcement of EoS/EoL EX60 inspection, the "SW maintenance communicated End Date of: HW, SW OS ' 06 07, 2016.  Note that it is not the end of Maintenance SW verbiage in 1700 MXP EoS/EoL announcement.  I'm under the assumption that the new product within OS support only one model exceeded?  Why anyone would follow the suggested migration if I get fewer months support OS than an older model?  Should I go out of date on the announcement of the EoS/EoL, or use the 5-year rule as shown in the end of life policy.

If I am interpreting this wrong, please do not hesitate to correct me.  I am trying to understand the explicit verbiage in the end of life and ads EoS/EoL policy.

As the 1700 MXP announcement was published in 2011, at that time, the EX60/90 was a legitimate substitute. However years later, endpoints EX Series are now EOS, you should look at alternatives for the EX series instead.

The announcement of the EOS/EOL indicates a date of end of software support, you should go there. The reason that ad 1700 MXP does not list one could be that the date of assumption of the software had already spent or they simply don't have the list at the time. Looking at the latest version of the software for the 1700 MXP, it's F9.3.3 in 2014, I highly doubt, there will be another, but you never know given that other points of MXP endpoints that are not past their published end date of software support.
