  Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:

  1. a System Restore to before the updates:

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next

  If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.

  If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:

  Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.

  System restore steps according to the info above.

  I have a problem with my Satellite A660 new... (I bought it in September 2010). The problem is the BIOS has failed to start, the monitor is still black and memory not working anymore... If I turn off and restart to turned on again and then after several times the BIOS starts and Windows7. But suddenly the system breaks down and when I try to restart the original problem reappears...

  If anyone has had the same problem before please answer me what should I do now... I really appreciate it. Anyone know if it is a hardware problem or a software problem...

  My advice to you is to contact Toshiba service as soon as possible. You bought the new product with a warranty and it should work. Describes problems sounds quite serious and you should not waste your time waiting for tips.

  Be honest, what can you do about it? Not much. You can try to reinstall OS, play with block power (start without battery, test with AC adapter only) remove the memory and check this yet, but in general, I put t think this will help.

  Contact the service and let them check your laptop.
  Do you know how to find the service provider authorized in your country?

  I just picked up 8 GB of RAM for my Satellite A660, CM3X4GSD1066 Corsair 4 GB PC-8500 (1066 MHz) 204 - pin DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM CL7.

  Flash crashes everytime.

  I recommend to uninstall the current driver (this in Device Manager), reboot the laptop and test one version drivers mentioned.

  I installed the 64 bit version of windows 7 and starting to take more than a minute. I was wonderign if I used a retail drive and used the serial number at the back of the computer laptop would it not be a better facility.

  Can someone help me please. I have problems with my M30 Sat. It is 2 years old and I've never had problems with it before. However, I recently had an accident and decided to reinstall from the recovery CD. after reinstallation, I tried to download the service pack 2 and my computer crashes. I have not installed any other software and still keep having this problem. It's very strange because sp2 worked perfectly on my laptop until the recent accidents.   I've upgraded to Windows 7 Professional the screen would freeze or have multi color lines on it. Only way out was to turn it off. Tried to do the window updates and update driver without success, it does not solve the problem. I decided to reformat the disk (partition Toshiba always leaving here) and install XP. Had problems to find the drivers and then had problems trying to load them.

  Tried the option "press the button / stop and press 0 (zero)" to try to restore factory default, but it did not work. It shows the Toshiba screen and then something flashes in the lower left corner of the screen and then boots into windows
  So, after careful consideration (and a few beers) I decided it was better to go forward as backward and reinstalled Windows 7. Still have the same problem, but I noticed if I boot in safe mode or safe mode command, the laptop is fine.

  I went to the Toshiba page support download and the have not not all drivers for Windows 7. So I downloaded the vista drivers, but I get an error when I try to install, operationg wrong version for this configuration.

  I can try fix my problem? (Besides that throw the laptop at the door and see how many times it will bounce) :)

  Sounds like this one are a pilot or if preinstalled software problem Vista runs correctly.

  In addition, I think that your laptop isn't Windows 7 supported if you can t get drivers here. You can try the Vista drivers, but if they don't work, to look for the drivers yourself. Maybe another model uses the same material but with Windows 7 supports.

  After installing 10.11.6 and reinstall LR and reboot: does not help same problem still present. Of course another reason.

  Improved from 4 GB to 8 GB. He would not accept any 4 GB sticks at all (I tried 4 different 4 GB sticks in all - all of the correct sticks) and operation in other machines. BIOS would recognise them, the BIOS is the latest version (1.80), but windows would not start.

  Any suggestions?
