No dials or tapping sounds from android 4.4.4 updated

Hi, I did the update on Sunday to 4.4.4 android. Needed to connect to a laptop for that. Since the update, I've lost sound when you type a text or e-mail message or type anything come to think of it. Also no noise when I type in a number to make a call. I checked that all the sound options are checked. Anyone who has lost their sounds since the update?

Settings, language and entry - it worked. Nice to get the sound back, I missed them.
Thanks viridis and uliwooly for your quick response and help tonight.

  • No sound from the right speaker / can not configure the speakers

    Hi all

I have a new computer Sony laptop and just tried plugging in my speakers 2.1 computer inside.  Sound only comes out of the left satellite and a subwoofer.  When I try to set them up in the sound control panel, the installation of the single speaker on the speaker Assistant is stereo and only the first test tone (left) plays from the satellite on the left, then silence (no dial tone test on the right).

Everything works fine on the built-in Laptop speakers, but they are for computer speakers, so I wish I could use my old speakers when I'm at my desk.

Sony Vaio and Windows Update Update did not recommend all new drivers for the audio controller.  I downloaded and installed the latest driver on the site from Realtek but that didn't work at all so I rolled it back to the version provided with the system.

Work fine with my laptop speakers older and my cell phone, so the fault is not with the right satellite is.

    Thank you

  • iOS 10 no sound from the speaker of the ear or EarPods

After update of iOS 10 (in 6 s iPhone and 5s) I have a problem then to make or receive calls. Most of the time it is no sound from the speaker of the ear or EarPods and I have to press the speaker during calls to listening. To get back what I have my iPhone and open it again. This seems to happen after that I used once the EarPods.

Be aware that I have consume EarPods in 90% of my calls and iOS 9 I had no problem at all.

    Hello Billy78GR,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that you met the receiver and headphone audio problems after update to iOS 10. I know that it is extremely important to be able to hear others during calls. I'm happy to help you to get this resolved with you.

First of all, I recommend you restart. This can solve many unexpected behaviours. Follow the steps below to restart.

    1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
    3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

As you use the headphones on most of your calls, I recommend checking and removal of dust or debris from the helmet. If the problem persists, please refer to the additional steps in the link below.
If you do not hear a person, a call or a voice message or if the sound is not clear on your iPhone

    Have a great day!

  • No sound from my Mac, all THE

    Hello

Earlier today, I connect my Mac to listen to the music and the sound no longer works. I checked the system preferences and went to the sound option. I looked out, and the only thing available was my apple tv.

As you can see, the mute box he checked and gray. I been to countless forums telling me that the red light in the headphone needs to be reset for the internal to appear again speaker. Well... There is no red light at first. I tried to reset the thing of LANDAU and he just a gray screen as a thing that is like the terminal because you can do almost anything on the mac from there. I didn't know where to go from there, because the only thing that told the forum is to listen to the startup sound and a few buttons. I don't hear the startup sound at all.

I don't want to go antics with all that because I don't want to mess up anything else.

While writing that gave me access to reuse my Soundbar and the volume changer, but the internal speakers still do not appear, and the mute button is still gray and ticked off. No sound from the computer. No matter what. I'll try to reset once more.

    -Kay

    Hi Kay, try this:

    1. Plug your headphones.
    2. Play sounds through them, then stop the track.
    3. Go to System Preferences > Sound
    4. Set on headphones, then remove the headphones.5
    5. Who should provide "internal speakers".
  • make a clicking sound from inside my Mac

Just started today. Every few minutes I get a clicking sound from inside my iMac. It seems to work ok, however. Thought, it may be overheating and cleaned by vacuuming all the vents, but it did not help.

Perhaps an early indication of a hard drive failing. Support everything up immediately (if you have not already) and get it checked with a free diagnosis in an Apple Center.

  • New iPhone SE no sound from the speaker of the brand

I just bought a new iPhone SE and I'm getting no sound from the speaker. Does anyone have any ideas on a possible resolution?

I restored from an iPhone 5 to the top, both phones are on the latest version of iOS.

Once the synchronization is complete, I ejected the phone correctly. But there is no sound coming from the speaker:

    • Key "secret" in both positions, no sound from the speaker
    • The top volume, using the volume buttons and the sound, no sound from the speaker settings
    • Headset plugged in, sound comes from the helmet, remove them, the iPhone recognizes, but still no sound
    • I tried the music app, ringtone from another phone, videos, podcast app, no sound from the speaker
    • Past the phone power off & on again, no sound speaker
    • Reset iPhone (hold both buttons down for 10 seconds), no speaker sound
    • Reset iPhone settings, no speaker sound

I begin to suspect it is a hardware problem, but as I am not near the Apple Store, I would try as much as I can before you go this route.

    Thank you

    Hello Andy,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand that you have restored your iPhone backup iPhone a precedent, and now there is no sound from the speaker.  Given the troubleshooting you have already done your next step is to restore the factory settings to see if the problem persists:

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings

If the problem persists, then please make an appointment with the Apple Store is close.

  • Laptop: cannot hear any sound from my computer

My sound does not work in Windows 10. No sound at all from YouTube videos, music and media players, Windows system sounds, etc.

The first step in troubleshooting I recommend is the easiest: restart your computer. Sometimes a single application can take control of your audio device and do not let all the other apps use, but you can release this control by restarting.

Here are a few others not you can try:

    • Run the audio troubleshooting tool in Windows
    • Try to connect headphones or a pair of external speakers
    • Set the default audio device to make sure that your computer sends the audio output of the device
    • If your computer comes with 10 Windows installed, you can restore the driver of its origin in the HP Recovery Manager, or to update the driver through Device Manager
    • If you upgraded your computer to Windows 10, you can update the audio driver in Device Manager
    • Reset your laptop

These solutions and much more are explained in detail in this document: laptops HP - no noise or distortion of the sound from the speakers.

  • Desktop PC: cannot hear any sound from my computer

My sound does not work in Windows 10. No sound at all from YouTube videos, music and media players, Windows system sounds, etc.

Have you tried a few different devices (headphones/speakers)? There could be a problem with the hardware with one of these devices. Also, keep in mind that most of the computers do not have built-in speakers, you don't need to have a connected device to hear anything.

If you have already tried a few different pairs of headphones and speakers, the first step in troubleshooting I recommend is the easiest: restart your computer. Sometimes a single application can take control of your audio device and do not let all the other apps use, but you can release this control by restarting.

Here are a few others not you can try:

    • Run the audio troubleshooting tool in Windows
    • Make sure that your device is connected to the appropriate port on the computer, and if you use powered make speakers you they are plugged into a working outlet

These solutions and much more are explained in detail in this document: HP-no sound from the computer desktop.

  • Qosmio PX30T - no sound from speakers

I just replaced a failing on my PX30T HARD drive and now I get no sound from the internal speakers. I used the media restore and also put all the patches and windows 8.1. Still no sound from the speakers, but the headphones work well.

As a last resort, I started with an image of Ubuntu USB and also no sound. I think I might have loosened a wire when replacing the HARD drive, but I don't see how because there are no other wires in the region. Ideas?

If the headset work correctly, the audio driver must be already installed and I don't think that a parameter must be checked and changed.

    Reach:
    Control Panel? sound? Recovery tab
Here, you should see the speakers and speakers must be marked as default device.

Make and check if the sound seems once again

  • 550-215na Pavilion: no sound from the rear audio input jack

    Hello

I recently bought a new PC and I immediately ran into an audio problem that I can't understand. I get no sound at all from the rear audio input jack. I'm getting sound before making, and the plug rear mic works. When I plug something into the rear socket, a message appears grateful that there is something. When I checked the sound settings while it is plugged into the rear outlet, the equalizer is moving, which indicates that he gets his. But nothing comes out when I plug headphones or speakers in. I can exclude a fault with the speakers and the headphones, because they work very well to come forward. All the drivers are up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there @PrimoFigs,

I hope you find your experience of positive Support Forum! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you get no sound from your speakers when connected to the rear audio ports. I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Have you tried to connect another device to this port, whether it of a different set of speakers or earphones, headphones just to test if one of them works?

What it is connected to the front port at the same time? If so, then disconnect this device and try again the rear port and let me know if there is a change.

Also try this: desktop HP-no sound on speakers (Windows 8).

  • Satellite L650 no sound from speakers or phones

I.ve just had my first problem with my Toshiba Satellite L650 - particularly serious, because I rely on it for all my music playback!

Normally I can plug and on the headphone jack on my stereo, speakers cut out and I get HiFi glorious while it is inserted, and the speakers onboard bounce when I delete.
Today, I have plugged as ususal and listened to a few songs.

I unplugged (to move the laptop) and the internal speakers not to bounce.
I reconnected the headphone jack and there was no sound from my stereo (finger test confirms the work of jack stereo).

I checked all the app and the main volume - level in good health indicators were present.
In the Device Manager, all reported correctly and counter activity took place during the test routines of the audio device for both speakers and headphones, but no real signal to the phone jack, or speakers.
"Update drivers" who fired the message I; m to date.

I uninstalled the drivers of "High definition Audio Device", and scanned for hardware changes after - drivers were automatically found and installed successfully, but still no sound.
In desperation I dug an old USB-audio gadget, plugged and his fate that perfectly well by the USB port.

Can anyone suggest what I can try to force an internal connection between Microsoft Sound Mapper (i.e. the string digital things that seems to work very well) and outputs real material?
This machine is not an old duffer and this should not be the case!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Hmm, I doubt that the headphone is faulty because in this case, the internal speakers of the laptop computer s should work properly.

Please go to Panel of-> sound-> the Read tab.
    The speakers as default device?

In addition, please see the Audio Manager HD Realtek located on the control panel.
On the right, you should see a few options (in my case, that they are marked with a folder icon). Check it!

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56900.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop and perform a "Hard Reset" for your model, as described in the document of HP here.

One when you're done, press next to the key ESC that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

    DP - K
