There is one thing when I play my TV to HDMI 1 or 2, the image appears but there is no noise at all when I go on the Blu Ray in the audio settings menu it says 2nd audio or something to do with the HDMI is turned off.
Oh I'm 100% sure and my tv is Sharp Aquos LC-22LE320 is not the TV because when I put the SCART lead in or put it on AV it works fine.

    Hi mate

It is a Toshiba computer / laptop computer forum.
You will meet people who want to talk about options for laptops and Toshiba laptops.
I doubt anyone here would be able to help you with this drive blueray.

But in your case, I would first check the settings of the TV you.
Check whether the sound via the HDMI port is enabled.

    > in the settings audio, it says the 2nd audio or something to do with the HDMI is turned off.
I don't know why 2nd audio is mentioned there but maybe you should check if you can switch this 1 audio (audio main stream) m

I recommend also consulted this blueray Player user manual.

  • Qosmio G50-129 no sound with HDMI connection

    Hello.

I have a Quosmio G50-129. Recently, I tried plugging it into my Sony Bravia LCD TV via the HDMI connection.
I have video output but there is no sound on the TV.

I tried to set the HDMI as audio device as default and the sound level meter in the sound properties panel appears to show activity, but nothing comes out.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

I m not Qosmio G50 owner, I only have the small F50, but it must be identical to yours I think. So first of all, I must say that I never had a problem with the HDMI connection. Everything has worked perfectly since I used the HDMI connection, the first time

In any case, if you connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using the HDMI connection, connect the cable first. After this power on the TV and select the HDMI input right channel. Then go on your laptop and if you press FN + F5, you can change between the different options.

Normally the HDMI output is automatically set as the default audio device, not to follow these workarounds with good screenshots:

  • Satellite A-L50-1DF - sound distortion using HDMI connection

    Hi all

Recently, I bought a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite L50-A-1DF.

From the beginning, I experienced problems with the HDMI connection.
When I connect my laptop to another monitor via HDMI more often than not, the sound is tinny and slightly distorted.

When I unplug the cable and put it in a few times, most of the time solved the problem.
I used different HDMI cables and different monitors with the same effect.

Other laptops work fine with these cables and monitors.
I reinstalled the drivers to display without a bit of luck and will eventually be sent my laptop in for repair.

Unfortunately, the problem was not found when they looked at it and I'll it back without a repair.

I have no idea what could be the problem, because it is not found by the repair team.
The customer service is unfortunately reluctant to me more help.

Can anyone think an explanation to this problem?

Thank you very much in advance for your comments!

    Kind regards
    Natasja

    > I have no idea what could be the problem, because it is not found by the repair team.

This means that the technician did not notice the sound distortion.
I think that it s very difficult to solve a problem that is not reproducible.

In my opinion, you should check exactly when this question appears and must try to reproduce the HDMI sound problem.
You should concentrate on the audio source and the software that runs when you connect the laptop to the external monitor TV.

Also I recommend that you perform the tests after the system has been recovered to factory settings.

  • Option of surround sound clothes outside with HD4870 HDMI connection after installation of SP1 Vista54

Clothes outside with HD4870 and HDMI connection surround sound option
I just built an HTPC and installed SP1 Vista64 and I have a problem. I have a DFI LanParty very X 58-T3H6 motherboard and a VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 video card with HD audio. I have a HDMI cable to my Sony AV receiver and all I get is Audio stereo. The subwoofer never wakes from sleep, or AV receiver indicates anything but a stereo input.

I have the RealTek HDMI audio device installed, and he says he's working properly in Device Manager. Under properties, what is proposed is stereo speakers. Surround sound is presented as an option, but it is grayed out and not selectable. All drivers are up to date from four days and I have the on-board sound card mother disabled in the BIOS and it does not appear in the Windows Device Manager, nor are there any other audio device except the RealTek HD HDMI audio device.

Other HDMI devices, such as my XBOX 360, a surround sound very well via the AV Sony receiver.

VisionTek support told me to install the RealTek HDMI driver, I did, but that's all the help they were able to give me.  The problem persists.  Surround sound is gray under sound properties for this device,

I took the HDMI cable from HDMI port on the video card and plugged on my XBOX 360 and I get surround sound, so I know that the cable and the audio/video receiver is configured correctly.

If anyone has an extra idea about it, I know you more!

    Thank you!

  • No sound when connecting my new XPS 9530 to my TV with a HDMI cable

I got my new laptop XPS 9530 for 3 weeks now and can't get any sound when connecting it to my TV with an HDMI cable.  I struggled to find a solution that works so far.  I tried so many solutions for example suggested, I went to SOUND / playback devices and the only option is to Audio speakers (Realtek High Definition) but not option for HDMI. I have re-installed video and audio drivers but still no success.

The worst is that I sent to Dell Support FOUR times without reply after that initial automated response.

Hello, I had the same problem on my XPS 9530 but it corectly established after a few moments, fundamentally sound has been activated later than the video.
In any case, you can still use Windows troubleshooting utility, or what I would sugest is to test it on another TV and give him a few minutes and then also try another HDMI cable, your current version is perhaps too old or something.
BTW do you have updated the video drivers intel and nvidia? If not, please do so.

One last thing, if you get no response from email support you can always make a phone call if your problem is urgent.  ;)

  • No. 5.1 surround sound HDMI

Problem - I don't get that ' "two-channel stereo sound during playback of a DVD (with Dolby) on my computer.  The computer is connected to an audio receiver that is set up for a surround sound.  Audio and video signals are transmitted from the PC via the HDMI 8.Lorsque on the video/tuner card.

    Computer - Compaq SR7510F

Vidéo/Tuner - ATI All in Wonder HD

Connected to Onkyo TX-SR604 through a video/Tuner card HDMI cable.  The Onkyo receiver is connected for 5.1 surround sound speakers.  Video signals are transmitted via the receiver to a flat screen monitor

    Sound - onboard Realtek

According to the specifications for the SR5710F it is supposed to support its 6 speakers.  However the HDMI audio driver only allows me to select "stereo".  It is a select "surround" box, but the box is "grayed out".

When I play the same DVD using a stand-alone DVD by Phillips drive, connected to the Onkyo receiver with the same HDMI cable, I get Dolby on the receiver.  This means that it is not a problem with the receiver, it must have something to do with 1) onboard Realtek sound driver 2) HDMI, or 3) the HDMI connection on the video/tuner card.

I checked on the Web from Realtek site and they list a newer driver for Vista (32 bit), but when I use the Device Manager to update the driver, it is said that it is the most recent.  I don't know that the driver is the problem, so I'm hesitant to try for the heck of it.

I tried the latest drivers Catalyst 9.1 for ATI All in Wonder card, but that didn't help either.

    Any idea?

    Telefunken,

Thanks for the suggestion.  It worked!  There is absolutely no sense to me, nor it does not seem logical to select SPDIF, but I can't argue with success.

I didn't need to buy Arcsoft Media Theater.  I was able to select SPDIF with ATI Catalyst and Microsofts Media Center.  I could get Dolby

In my current setup, I updated ATI Catalyst 9.3 version graphics card and loaded the audio driver Realtek HDMI ATI R2.18.  Also in the BIOS, I put the Audio on 'Auto '.  I chose the HDMI, not the Realtek driver driver in Control Panel.  I chose Dolby and DTS bothy under the driver settings.

Now I think I'll enjoy a Quantum of Solace from this nagging problem is resolved.

  • HDMI connections to multiple devices

I have a Sony Bravia 46EX640 and a HD DVR with an Xbox. I am planning to buy a Sony BDVN790W surround sound system. I'm trying to minimize the number of connections, and I would only use the hdmi connections. I am familiar with ARC and this specific TV unfortunately does not have this feature, but I have the following wires in mind. My goal is to get the highest quality of image and sound and minimizing connections to make it possible. My diagram of wiring in mind:

OUT of Xbox HDMI--> HDMI BDVN IN
DVR HD--> BDVN HDMI HDMI OUTPUT TO
BDVN HDMI OUTPUT--> TV HDMI IN

The only hole I see is the sound of the tv because it is not equipped with BOW and HDMI does not work for her, correct? Do I have TO use the digital audio output to the audio quality on the TV for sound? My ultimate plan is to use the HDMI connections. Is there any other possible wire using only HDMI cables?

This configuration will give you audio from your VCR digital HD, XBOX and BLU RAY
through your speakers BDVN790W and HD video to your TV.
If you also use your TV as a tuner for over-the-air channels, then you will need to use the optical cable from TV to the BDVN790W.
If you do not use your TV as a tuner then connect you mentioned won't work.

    Hello

Hmm, in some cases the BIOS contains an HDMI output option.
In your case, I recommend to check this.
I have not very well if this available but it s m of a value in a control.

But usually the Fn + F5 should work as described in the user manual... did you check that?

  • Satellite program-112 P775: HDMI connection to the TV does not work

    Hello

For some reason that the HDMI connection between my Toshiba Satellite P775 program-112 to LG TV no longer although he did for some time.

I tried another laptop without problem.

I posted the same question some time ago and told to press the Fn and F5 keys, but it did not work.

    Any suggestions please?

You are right: the FN + F5 switches between the internal and external video output.

What exactly happens when you press FN + F5? A map falsh menu appears on the screen when you use this key combination?

On the page of the Toshiba UE driver you can find the Manager command HDMI. This driver is required for your HDMI controller.
In the case where the output to HDMI does not work, try reinstalling the driver
