None of my usb devices will be recognized

recently, I started having problems with my usb ports. I can plug in any device, the sound will be played and immediately after, I get the message in the lower right corner saying "usb device not recognized" and below that it says that the usb device has malfuncioned and was arrested. After the removal of the usb device, the sound will play as if everything is normal.

This occurs with any usb device I plug in a usb mouse or a flash drive

solved the problem.

since nothing I thought that might cause the problem has actually, I was thinking what I thought could not be the problem but was the most recent hardware changes - my video card...
first of all, I unplugged my computer, then I touched the button several times to clear all stored energy, then I disconnected my video card and used the motherboards built in one. This fixed the problem with my USB ports. After confirming that my usb ports worked with the removed video card, I repeated the first part of the process and put again and the USB ports worked always.
It is possible that removing the video card is not what fixed, which would mean that the process of clearing the stored energy before I unplugged the video card may have fixed. which is more likely, and what was actually happening.

  • Some USB devices are more recognized when plugged after upgrading Fusion 7

After reclassification of the merger of 6 to 7, some USB devices, specifically webcams is faster to connect to Windows (guest) or Host (osx).

They also no longer appear in the USB & Bluetooth under the Virtual Machine settings.  Anyone else see this problem?  Try to understand this point, I completely uninstalled merger to try to solve this problem.  Webcams work fine under OSX itself and are usable.

7 merger supports a virtual USB camera, that can be added as a new device in the virtual machine settings. This allows the physical camera (USB or integrated PCIe FaceTime HD) to share between the host and the VM at the same time.

There is currently no option in the settings of the VM to UN-hide USB cameras for passthrough to the virtual machine, but it can be done with a preference.

Edit the ~/Library/Preferences/VMware\ Fusion/preferences file and add the following line:

    vusbcamera. PassThrough = 'TRUE '.

  • USB device recognized on Windows 7, but not Windows XP

Last week, some of my USB devices need not be recognized on my Windows XP SP3 laptop.

First of all, it happened with 2 external USB HDD connected via a mini USB hub. Connecting them individually did not solve the problem. The error I got was:

USB device not recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has worked and Windows does not recognize.

More importantly, the laptop is no longer recognizing my USB thumb drive, which works perfectly on my Windows 7 machine to work.

Can I reinstall my USB drivers? Just remove the USB devices, reboot and let Windows reinstall them? They need to be specific to the manufacturers of the drivers?

I deleted it and reinstalled my hubs USB Device Manager etc, but a device is not installed correctly: mass storage controller. It is of course preventing me from accessing the USB and external hard drives. Where can I get the drivers for this if Windows XP does not have?
Sure that the key USB is FAT32 (the default format)
I went in the properties of the mass storage controller in the Manager of peripheral and copied the device ID. I did a Google search and was surprised to find that it was a card reader. I downloaded the drivers from my manufacturer Web site, and Windows has detected and installed the drivers for the card reader, as well as the mass storage controller. The USB appears in the Explorer, but shows 0 items. I have
After the reboot, the USB is not in Windows Explorer, and when I unplug and reinsert an error comes up saying the USB device is not recognized and malfunctioned.

The solution was to turn off the laptop, remove the power cable and leave it for a few hours, before feeding it back.

Windows detected and installed the device very well then.

I don't think that I understand perfectly why he fixed.

    Hello

Have you noticed yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager next to USB host controllers?
    Check it!

Even if the yellow exclamation points are not visible in the Device Manager I recommend to remove the USB host controllers and root device manager USB hubs and restart the laptop again.
Wait that all USB controllers will be recognized by Windows and retest your external USB devices.
