OfficeJet 4500 G510n Wireless: USB Incompatible

I recently bought a new Asus computer and cannot install my laptop wireless officejet printer 4500.

During the installation of the drivers, he suddenly stops to tell me that my USB and USB hardware driver is not compatible, I find it very hard to believe.

I tried to use the HP scan doctor, HP support assistant, and looking at this forum.

I am running Windows 7 and meet the minimum requirements of the printer. The printer works fine on Macbook Pro my wife.

I tried to install the wireless drivers and tried to connect the printer via the usb port. All diagnostics and controls see the printer connected to my network, but the installation will not end.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello

Sorry for jumping, as it appears from the error checking of the system, by selecting any type of prior connection.

The problem occurs as a result of the USB 3.0 card which was made years after the HP software.

Please follow these steps to install the HP software:

Click the Start button and type folder in the search bar, then open the Temp folder indicated.

Open the last installation folder that begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234) HP or HP folder and then open the folder that is listed under the name of your printer.
Open the installation folder.
Find the file usbready.exe and rename it to usbready.old.exe
Navigate to the main extraction folder (folders that begins with 7z) or HP > YOUR printer model and launch the Setup.exe file.

Now follow the installation and check for the difference.

Kind regards
Shlomi

  • scanner HP officejet 4500 g510n Readiris (OCR) does not yet recognize will scan using hp OCR

    Greetings,

    OfficeJet 4500 g510n wireless, windows 8, readiris pro 14.

OCR, scanning works fine using the ocr software supplied with the cd printers.

Readiris is no Twain especially for the 4500 but has "hp twain others."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the TWO printing software and the readiris program

Readiris refuses to recognize my printer "failed to open the default Twain source" and "the scanner is not responding.

Readiris support has not responded to my request sent 5 days ago - makes me wonder if their software is the same as their 'support' - pretty useless!

    any suggestions please

    Concerning

The way I understand it, readiris works that on HP scanners or all-in-One printers offer no OCR software. He added this feature for scanners and printers who have not already. As the 4500 has already built an OCR software, readiris software will not work. I'm not 100% certain about it, as I've only dealt with the OCR of HP software, but what I've read, that's my understanding.

Oh, that's a good clue.  This instance of the printer is looking for a USB connection!  Go to control panel > printers & devices and delete the printer in the printer list.

    1. make sure the printer is on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address before continuing.
    2. click on > start > Control Panel > devices & Printers.
    3. click on add a printer
    4. Select local printer
    5. Select create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port, and click Next.
    6. under device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under the name of host or IP address, enter the IP address of the printer. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard in the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model is not in the list, then select disk provided, browse the CD that came with your HP printer and select the first file begins with hp and ending with INF. click Open, then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If prompted, use the driver that is currently installed.
    9. He will ask the name of the printer - enter a new name or use the one existing. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. we may ask you to share the printer. Choose No.
    11. the printing area of Test Page is displayed. Go ahead and print it out.
    12. click on finish.

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z: HP Office Jet 4500 G510n-z fails to print over wireless network

    Hello

Earlier my XP (Dell D620) machine stopped printing wireless with my officejet 4500 G510n-z. My Windows 7 D630 prints wirlessly without any problem. I have download the current HP drivers without result. I looked at other positions, but none of the viable solutions. The 4500 G510n-z appears as a printer, but all print jobs end with an error. I can't print a test page, Notepad, etc. All jobs appear on the queue, but they all error. It seems to be a specific problem of the XP. I have XP pro version 2002 Service pack 3. My network is just a Verizon Fios wireless router. In windows 7, I can see the actual address of the Hp wireless connection when the printer is added. Under Xp I do not see the address wireless when I try to add the printer. Now, it appears in the list of printers on XP but 7 seems to see the actual address wireless and allows me to select it to add the printer. I plugged the XP machine to the printer and it would work for a while then stops working. Don't know what triggers the loss of connection. How can I specify the connection 4500 G510n-z XP? I tried to add the IP address I see on my 7 machine but XP wants to a path of the server which is //server etc., UNC path.

I went in the properties of the printer and changed the address to match the 7 IP 192.168.1.3 192.168.1.9 Windows 7 XP, but not go again.

    Thank you

    Al

    Hello @adb1779,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. Because the ping tests on both computers is successful when communicating with your wireless printer, it turns out that you do not encounter a network issue at all. On the contrary, there is either a program of 'blocking' of printing wirelessly on your XP computer or computer XP is not "like" the fact that you have changed the IP address of 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.9. It would seem that your XP computer is a former connection with the printer. To resolve this problem, please follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Launch MSCONFIG:

I'll have you temporarily disable all programs background on your XP system to see if there is a program that runs in the background on your Windows XP computer that would block communication with your printer.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Click run. In the Run dialog box, type msconfig and click OK
    3. When the System Configuration window opens select 'Selective Startup ' and uncheck load startup items
    4. Click the Services tab, check the box at the bottom to hide all Microsoft Services
    5. Select disable all
    6. Select apply and OK
    7. Computer restart when prompted

When your Windows XP computer turns please try printing. If the printer works correctly now it would mean that a program was blocking the communication. If the problem persists, proceed to the steps below.

    Step 2: Uninstall the drivers:

I understand that you have already done this in the past without result. However, if your product is identified as on 192.168.1.3 she is not installed correctly, or an earlier version of the printer with an old IP isn't be properly removed from the system. It is crucial for the repairs we have a clean slate to work with. Please follow the steps below.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Click on programs
    3. Select the HP folder
    4. Select your HP Officejet
    5. Select Uninstall
    6. Please follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation.

Once the uninstall is complete, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Clear the server properties:

Your printer driver can also be installed under the print server properties. I'll have to make sure your driver has been completely removed from both print server.

    1. click on the Start menu

    2. Select Printers. You may need to go to the Control Panel then Printers and faxes.

    3. in printers and faxes click on file and select Server properties

    4. in the print server properties window, select the drivers tab

    5. If your HP Officejet is listed, click on it and select Remove downstairs.

    6. a new window opens, click on Remove only the driver. Click OK.

    7. Select apply and then OK in the print server properties window.

    8. close printers and fax machines.

Step 4: Delete the temporary files:

    1. Click on the start menu
    2. Select run. In the Run dialog box, type %temp% , and then click OK
    3. Click on the Start menu
    4. When the Temp folder opens, Select the first item in the Temp folder and tap the SHIFT key on your keyboard.  Now Shift while, scroll down a few lines and click on another element in the file. What is between these two elements will highlight.
    5. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. If a Temp file be used yet that you will automatically get the pop-up that you can't delete this item. The "deletion" process is cancelled. On Windows Vista, 7 and 8 of Windows you can just "jump" from the items which will not delete. Unfortunately, on Windows XP, it is not so easy. Take note of this point is unable to delete. Then, ignore this element. Click on the next element in the list, hold the SHIFT key and click another item in the list to remove another piece of elements. You will continue this tedious step until all items in the Temp folder which will remove are deleted.
    6. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    7. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

    Step 5: Reinstall the drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the drivers for your printer
    2. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top left
    3. Once the download is complete, follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer wireless
    4. Once your printer is properly reinstalled please try again to print wireless.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Scanning problems on wireless HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z

I'm about to throw this printer/scanner at the door!  I love this scanner but since I had to buy a new computer

with windows 8, no driver disc to install my software disc, I can't seem to get a complete reinstallation of HP programs to install the Center and I don't dare hit the 'add a device' since I reinstalled the full installation software, my computer wants to continue to try to reinstall the application when well even it is already installed.   I uninstalled, cleaned and reinstalled and no still no solution Center.  HP also claims that there are no drivers for the center of solutions for windows 8.  Is this true?   My scanner is 1 year old.  Everything suggests to use the windows fax and scan.  Tried, how ever it stinks and it works not just for what I need it to do.  It is the second time I bought a HP scanner and a year later have problems with the application.  I think I've read all the blogs you have posted and tried all the links so far.  I know not what is missing... It is the center of solution and I can't seem to find a way to recover.  I have an ASUS with windows 8. Help, please!   If I have to buy another printer... I will never buy another HP product again.  Ink cartridges cost almost 60.00 it's half the price of the printer. Please help... Thank you very much for your time

    Hi wincrazy,

"There is no drivers for the center of solutions for windows 8."  Is this true? "No, that's not true and I can help you get the Solution Center.

    1. Hold down the Windows Logo key ( ) on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
    2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
    3. Download the software and choose to save money, save it on the desktop > HP Officejet 4500 G510n Full Feature Software and Driver
    4. After downloading software and extracts, reopen the temp folder, use the instructions in step 1.
    5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
    6. Open the Util folder
    7. The CCC folder
    8. If you have a computer HP run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a not HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
    9. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
    10. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
  • HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z Wireless connection print Windows Vista, but not from Windows 7

Printer HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z seems to be connected to my Dell laptop with Windows 7 on HP Solution Center page, but does not print. Documents just get stuck in QC. It was printing then it wasn't so that's when it wasn't. The printer works when I print from a laptop more old Vista. The last time this happened, I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software and that doesn't seem to help. Then, for some inexplicable reason, impression began to work. It has now stopped working again. I can scan the Windows 7 laptop but not print. I tried all the troubleshooting tools that I could find without success. Thanks for trying to help.

    Hello-

It could be caused by a couple of things:

    1. firewall on PC or router.

2 interference (microwave, cordless phone base @ 2.4 Ghz)

    3 distance from router

    4 corrupted printer driver.

Turn off the firewall you have and you move anything that can cause interference to router.

If none of the above solves the problem, I'll have to install a different printer driver.

    Click Start.

    Go to devices and printers.

    Click Add a printer.

Add a local printer. Create a new Port, then choose "Standard TCP/IP port.

    Click Next.

TypeRegeditdans in the box 192.168.1.12 IP address or host name. (uncheck the box 'Interrogate the printer')

    Click Next.

When the printer list opens, click windows update. (it takes a few minutes)

After the box appears, choose HP (not Hewlett Packard) on the left and choose "Deskjet 990c" on the right.

Click Next, the default value and end.

Try to print using the printer Deskjet 990c.

  • HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z impossible to implement

    Hello

I use my HP Office Jet quite successfully for 2 years with no problems at all.  But this week, there were problems with my connection Internet does not properly.  Verizon has sent a repairman, and he said that I need a new modem/router, so it installed the newest model from Verizon Internet broadband.  I had no idea how much this was going to cause me trouble.

So far, I have used my wireless printer and realized I had to imput the new information for the wi - fi to connect properly.  Well, I have found no way to do it, unless I configured the printer since the beginning.

I uninstalled my printer, removed from my list of devices, shut down your computer, insert the installation disc in the DVD player, hooked up the printer using the USB cable, following the instructions on, then start the computer.

Nothing... My computer has never nothing hung

I called HP and bought a new cable, thinking that something must be a problem with the one I had.  Nothing...

My printer is turned on and physically connected to my computer, and it is not recognized for some reason any.  And until it is, I can't use it at all.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Sandielynne

OK, I have my printer doesn't work, but it has been a nightmare on the whole trip.

I called Verizon (my ISP), and one of their tech support people showed me how to put in specific settings using the control panel directly on the front of the printer. In the original configuration, I didn't need to use it, but during the installation of the cartridges and others, so I had no prior knowledge to the configuration layout of the Wi - fi network. I do now. The printer stated that she was.

I could not the printer to communicate with my PC.

I downloaded the software directly from the Web site and installed, it did not find the connected printer.

I ran the Scan program & printer doctor, he finds my HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z printer AND a printer (HP OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z) network HP320B39.

The doctor downloaded and installed the software again, but only for the first printer HP Officejet 4500, not the printer 'network '. If the software installation was not involved, and I'm unable to use the software at all because of this.

Every time I tried to print, it seems cannot NOT COMMUNICATE

I used the Windows Help & Support and somehow I clicked on something good , and a window open showing each a wireless on my network device. ... .and among this list was the HPE20BE9 (HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z) I click with the right button on it and choose "INSTALL".

Then I went in devices and printers, and saw this same exact printer listed there, with HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z, so I chose this new 'weird' printer as my default printer. Then I chose a simple print document, a new window opens for me to choose which printer to print from, I made sure the printer HPE20BE9 has been selected, checked my preferences and said to print... AND HE DID!

I hope that I have never go through this nightmare of 6 days again. I am happy that I have persisited and has not abandoned because I was only a few seconds to screw up this printer, my patients to its full stop.  How I accidentally came across this list of "Network devices" I'll never know.   I tried since and now can not find once again, so if someone knows this information, I would be happy if I can write down it for future reference.  Without it, I still would not be able to print.

Have a great day and I appreciate everyone who tried to help me, but my situation apparently needs more information that I found here.

    Kind regards
    Sandielynne

    Hello

Please download the following driver & software and install on your computer:

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL32439/MP-80348-2/OJ4500vG510n-z_Full_13_en.exe

(Note: to connect USB, please do not connect USB cable before the application process).

    Kind regards.

  • Cannot install drivers for HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z (stuck control systems)

    -Officejet 4500 G510n-z

    -Windows 7 Home Premium

    -No specific error message

-A occurred since the first attempt

So here's the order of things:

    (1) attempt to hook the printer via USB to install printer drivers. Windows says it's failed to find drivers.

    (2) download the drivers (basic and complete) online.

    (3) try to install the driver. The installation process gets stuck checking of the system, which is the first step after the extraction of the file indefinitely.

    4) try again with the pilot basis with similar results.

    (5) turn off the firewall to avoid problems, try once more. He tells me that it can not extract, so I go in the temporary folder in which the files were extracted and delete them.

    (6) reboot, try again. Yet once, gets stuck checking the system.

I'd love to rub it using the CD, but the problem is that the CD has been lost for a long time. If there is no other way to fix it, how can I get another CD?
