Officejet 6310 says 'No. Scan Options' and there is no SUN

I have an Officejet 6310xi connected by USB to my Dell computer. I use Windows XP (with Service Pack 3).

I downloaded the base (no software) on the site of hp drivers. I can print and copy on the officejet. When I try to scan it says "no Scan Options". The digital imaging monitor is not visible in the system tray. If I run msconfig the SUN is not in the start menu, either.

When I run the Scan Diagnostic Utility V 1.5, it detects problems with PML service, registry Mismatch and HP Digital Imaging Monitor.

When I run "Difficulty", it can't find C:\Program HP Imaging\bin\hpqtra08.exe. There is no file by that name (hpqtra08.exe) on this computer.

While I had the CD with all the software and drivers, it is not at this place. Should I order another CD or is there an alternative? I don't have Norton 360 running and I understand reading this could affect the download drivers, but I'm not enough common sense to know how to temporarily disable firewalls, etc. That is why the CD solution is attractive for me. Needless to say, a free solution would be even better! Thanks for any help.

You have downloaded only the basic drivers, I think that you will need to download the full functionality so & drivers for scanning to work

  • OfficeJet Pro L7580 - 'no Scan Options '.

    I have an Officejet Pro L7580 - I just started getting the 'Scan Options no' when I try to use the scan on the Panel button.  Also, I can not open the HP Solutuion Center software to scan from computer.  I tried the HP cat help... worthless and uninstalled and reinstalled 3 x no luck!  Help!  Print and copy of work... but no scanning!     I tried all these people... my problem is supposed to be up to the next level at HP and they call me when they find a solution... no more waiting... I'm at $ 300 for the all-in-one with piss poor supported.  I'll buy a Kodak all-in-one and I will never buy another HP product as long as I live!  That's a promise!  Thanks to all who responded... I'm just tired of dealing with this!

  • C7280 all in one has two scanning options and has no option for scanning to e-mail. He is used to.

    Usually, if I turn off the all-in-one scan options back, but now only two options appear... scan and reprint and scan to memory device.   I need to get the option scan to e-mail and scan to file return.   Please be explicit as I am chanllenged of the computer.

    It seems that not all the options are in the analysis... installation options.  Try to check all the parameters of the analysis options to ensure that these file type options are not present.  So, please take a look through the information below the link.

    Windows Compatibility Center shows that this printer is compatible with windows XP, Vista and 7. Drivers for all the operating system three are offered by HP, so you should be able to use this printer on all three OS.

    drivers provided. Check with HP support, their documentation online and
    drivers and ask in their forums.

    Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

    I use my printer with my asus windows 7 and then I have a dell with windows 8.1 that I bought recently.   Fine with asus Windows 7, but will not work with the new computer.   Always says offline or troubleshoot.  Also, when he goes in the print mode, it's never stops and does not print a full page.  Maybe the upper part, never the entire page.   It will not print from quickbooks, which is the reason for my new computer.   Solutions will fully appreciate.  Thanks, laws

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more - Scans cut and distorted

    Recently purchased this machine - I use the HP scanning application that comes with it in which you set the settings, scan and then send it to a folder on the computer. It worked fine until today.

    Now when I scan everything (on the bed) - it previews fine - I send it to a folder - but when I open the original file (in photoshop) it is stretched and cut. I tried reseting the parameters (resolution, orientation, culture, etc.) and also to restart the machine, but it always records the distorted image and cut.

    The only thing I can think of that has changed is I have updated my OS to the Mavericks.

    Anyone have this problem? The associated bones or have I missed something.

    If please go to search at the top right of the Web of Adobe Type creative cloud site and click Download a free trial version.

    Proceed to download.

    Once this is done the Creative Cloud Desktop App will launch and you must sign in and after that you can install the trial in the applications menu on top of Creative Cloud Desktop App

    If there is still a mention please problem the operating system you are using. Maybe you can try to check if the creative Application of cloud is installed then uninstall it and try to install again.

    When you try to scan to e-mail, after the insertion of my password, I get a pop up saying that I am not allowed to use the wizard.  I am the administrator computor and don't know how to get around this pop up and access the wizard.  Any ideas.  Other scanning features work very well.

    Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you have a problem with scanning to email Assistant. I would like to help.

    Try the following.

    • On the façade of the printers, touch the wireless icon to get the printers IP address.
    • On your computer, open a web browser.
    • In the URL/address bar type the printers IP address and press go/enter.
    • This should take you the printer embedded Web server.
    • Select the scan option and run the scan e-mail Assistant to leave here.

    I'm trying to run a scan from my printer to my iMac 10.8.3 running.   When I go to select the computer, it says no scan options.   Now, I can run a scan of my computer without problem, but I would like to be able to do it directly from the printer.  Any thoughts?

    EDIT: HP utility/drivers are installed.   Have downloaded automatically when I initially set up printer.   Don't know how to check the version.  I guess it's the latter.

    The software provided for Mac OS X 10.8 Lion mountain for your printer cannot scan of the façade, but only from Mac using picture Capture, preview or printing & scanning.

    Greetings.

    It's been a few weeks I finally used my printer (an Officejet 6310 purchased in March 2009) and, while the black ink tank is running out, I'm not still getting a message telling me to replace the cartridge. My problem is that when I tried to print a text document or an Excel spreadsheet only all other lines prints. What print is very dark, crisp and readable (not like a page that printed while the ink is running very low), but it ignores all other lines. I also printed a .gif image file and it printed perfectly.

    I have never seen anything like this before.

    Anyone know what is happening here?

    At work today, I was advised to download the driver and reinstall. This seems to have solved the problem.

    You can't have the 'base' installed printer.  For easy and full of scanning options, you need the 'full package', that is, the software feature complete for this printer.

    If you can not get the software of full functionality for your operating system, you may be able to use Windows Fax and Scan.  It's primitive compared to other options, but at least it works.  The feature is available on Windows 7.

    Be aware that sizes for the full feature software download can be very important (about 110 MB approximately 390 MB)-take this into account if you have a slow internet connection.

    I have included below the instructions you need (and more):

    Install the printer driver / software

    If your printer doesn't work anymore (and this isn't a hardware problem), it may be because of software or driver issues.  There are tools to help you diagnose the problem and help documents to guide you to success.

    You might just want extra features for your printer, or need additional tools to help the scheduled maintenance.

    In many cases, you can (re) install the full features software for your printer to improve its capabilities.  The HP Solution Center is an integral part of the FFS.  For e-print, you can e-print software.

    If you have the CD that came with your printer, use it to install the printing software.  If you do not have the CD, or if the software on the CD is outdated, you can use the installation online tools.

    (Re) install the driver software HP printer full-functionality or other basic software for your printer:

    Drivers hardware order connected to the computer (wired or wireless).

    Software control programs that interact with the user.

    • Go to the top of the forum page for

      Support home

    • Enter your printer model informationand then go to the drivers and software...
    • Enter your operating system from the menu drop-down...  Click NEXT and scroll down
    • Find the category driver - software product installation
    • Select the appropriate basic pilot, e-print, or the full functionality of the software, if applicable
    • Save the installation on your computer package *.exe

    Optional:

    • Find the category utility-Diagnostic tools
    • Select "HP Print and Scan Doctor" - save the package on your computer.
    • NOTE name and location the file when you save the file (s).  The *.exe files will save probably for the "folder"downloads. "
    • Install the software / driver installation package (s).  Install utilities first, as appropriate.
    • If you have control of "Admin", you can highlight the package and "double-click on ' to install it, otherwise just right-click, select"Run as Administrator"and install.

    NOTES:

    • Download and install the driver software before connecting the USB cable.
    • Once installation is complete, remember to check and install the relevant updates - check the category - updated
