Hello

You scan from the HP solutions, or any other application Center?

By choosing to scan a Document in the HP Solution Center you see as many options as in the File Format of the menu drop-down?

  • How to change the DPI for Officejet 4500 Wireless settings

    Printer: HP Officejet 4500 G510n wireless (CN547A)

My DPI settings seem to be too high.  I'm scanning a single page and the file is 21MB in size.  I can't find how to reduce the dpi.

Is it possible to do it on this device?

    Thank you.

    Hi zulwe,

You can adjust the DPI and PPI parameters depending on the program you are using. Because you are using Windows as your operating system, you can have this printer Officejet HP solutions Center. Check this box: scanning with HP Solution Center software in Windows

And no, we cannot do this on the device. It can only be done through your computer.

    Hi @wschlich

    Thanks for your comments.

When you define the settings of copy of tray 2, it will be for this post only (unless your default tray is for copy 2 tray)

Here's how you can win your copy of employment "continuously" starting from tray 2, follow these steps:

    Select the 'Setup '.

Try to copy again, he should "stick" to tray 2

  • OfficeJet 6700: Officejet 6700 Scanner glass Question Test

    Hello

Yesterday, I printed a printer status report for my Officejet 6700 and noticed an entry for Scanner glass Test.  It is based on parameters of scanning.  I looked at the User Guide and have not found anything for a Test of the Scanner glass.  What is this test and when I would go there?  Also, how I would she?

    Gary

    Hi there @garyg45 , I hope you're well!

I saw your post about how you noticed the entry for a "Test of the Scanner Glass" on the State printer however, not found information on the glass of the scanner Test in the user manual. The reason is that the Test of the Scanner glass is used by our service departments and you don't need to worry at all with a glass of the Scanner test. If the copies are to work successfully, the printer itself is fine!

If there is a problem you are having, feel free to let me know the details and I will do my best to help you with the problem.

    Have a great Tuesday!

  • Officejet 6700 scanning settings

    OfficeJet 6700 Premium (Prod # CV078A) network (direct connection to the router). 1 = Win XP SP3 computer. computer 2 = WIN7 Pro SP1 32-bit;

A couple of questions about scanning. This printer has replaced an Officejet 6500 failure that has served me well for several years before suffering significant constipation of ink.

1 scanned files are much larger than those produced by my 6500. I adjusted the scanning parameters, including PDF (NOT available), B & W and size of file/quality under Advanced settings, the "smaller" value The file sizes are about 3 x what has been produced by using 6500 dpi (200). Any suggestions?

2 prerequisite software registered automatically scans as "Scan001", "Scan002", etc.. Current software requires to manually change the file name for each further analysis when scanning from the computer using the HP software. Is this correct feature? (If so, it is a step backwards.) See also 3 below. [Edit: point of Travis' 2 in response below deals with this issue - thanks!]

    3. scan of the computer (from the printer front panel) saves the file 'Scan0001', 'Scan0002', etc.  This works as expected. Why is this not implemented when using 2 above? (Or am I missing?).

Thanks in advance for the answer and enlightenment.

OK - downloaded Free Edition Paperscan v.1.8.3 and used the TWAIN driver to get the image of my Officejet 6700 using the document feeder. Registered 1 page file to PDF with dpi set at 200. File size is 22K. (Now, that's more like it.) Oh, and the quality of the image will appear better, too. [Edit: but see message below re.] NAPS2]

Same document 1 page using the old HP scanning, recorded as a simple pdf software with 200 dpi setting results in a file size of 177 K! 22 K vs 177 K - same, I can do that math.

Conclusion: there is something seriously wrong [ineffective/sloppy code] with the HP scanning software. (and I don't think they care)

    Recommendation: Fix it.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Scanner does not appear in Win 10 Aps

Installed Win 10. Had to uninstall and reinstall HP 6700 JO to get scanner to work. Howecer, scanner does not appear in all Aps (Start menu). The only way I found to scan is to right click on the HP Officejet 6700, and then click Run as administrator. Which takes me to the HP printer Assistant I can open the scan dialog box.

How to scan to show in all the Aps?

    Thank you

    Hi @SideSaddle

    have you tried this

    Navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \HP\HP Officejet 6700\bin

Right click on hpscan.exe and click on "Pin to Start", now you should be able to run the scan directly.

    hope this helps

  • Officejet 4500 scanning settings

Windows 7, Officejet 4500, HP TouchSmart

I'm confused on the scanning settings that show in the window menu / machine.  I tried to change by using the software and then get questioned about the naming and registration of shortcuts.  Where will I see shortcuts and what types of naming structure will be easy?

This system is brand new and it takes me awhile to get used to.  The Officejet works well and I have not yet optimized settings.

I wish I could choose and start the scanning of the console not the computer.

    Thanks for your suggestions,

    Sylvia

Setting up shortcuts will not appear on the printer in the HP software. This allows you to predefine the scanning options you want to use and then give it a name and create a shortcut on the left side of the screen. So when you want to scan multiple photos in a specific way instead of having to go through the configuration whenever you can simply click the shortcut that you created. What is the front panel of the printer is to select the settings every time you scan using the control panel of the printer.

  • HP Officejet 7310 Scanner and copier

My HP Officejet suddenly stopped to scan and copy.  It starts a scan or copy, the scanner moves to the bottom of the page once and on the stalls of quick return 2/3 of the way back.  Looks like something like CMV pass.  Seems a mechanical is not a software problem.  Message says error turn off the device and turn it on.  Did, but the problem is repeated.  Is this something that can be repaired or it would require the purchase of a new?

Thank you, but I've already set up with HP to replace this all-in-one with the same machine for the price of a new one with new warranty. I refer it to them when a new arrives. They have been really helpful. I'm glad that I could do something other than throw it away, because I don't know it can be refurbished for someone else to buy.

  • All-in-one HP Officejet 5610: Scanner not found

    Hello

I have HP Officejet 5610 all-in-one printing and I use OS X 10.6.8.  I tried to launch the CD supplied with the printer, but that he would be stuck after a few percentage of the installation.  I repeated this process of restarting the laptop and unplug the printer to reset.  Nothing worked so I used the download software/driver online and everything was set up beautifully.  Now, when I tried to analyze one of my papers it says "scanner could not be initialized" because the scanner was not found.

Any help is appreciated, I just need this scanner upward and the work.

    Thank you

    Hello

The HP Scan Pro is a very old application for Mac SO X 10.4 or 10.5 and not for your current operating system.

From the Applications folder go to Hewlett-Packard and follow the HP uninstaller program to remove the old software on your Mac.

Once you are done, download and install the latest version of the software for OS X 10.6 from the following link, then you can scan using the HP scanning software:

  • OfficeJet R65 Scanner driver

    Nice day!

    I upgraded my OS WinXP SP3 on Win7 Ultimate x 64 SP1 form.
While I had XP, my OfficeJet R65 works perfectly fine, with all features enabled, but now, Win7 only recognizes it as a single R60 printer and I can't use the scanner.
Even if I manually add the R65 printer driver and remove the auto-trouve R60, it's the same.

I searched everywhere on the net for a solution, downloaded - and finally - uninstalled a lot of disabled windows auto-setting driver updated, configured manually, etc.. I even reinstalled Win7 a few times just to be sure.
    Nothing has worked.

Help us reach the full new functionality! I love this printer and keep it in good condition, but I also want to use the function of scan on it - very good.

    Thank you!
    Thomas

I use a parallel cable, the printer is directly connected to my PC.
(Meanwhile I tried to configure a virtual machine with Windows XP.  Did not work)

Conclusion: unless some programmer with free time at HP upgrades the latest drivers for the Officejet R65 to Win7, the scanner no longer works.
    «No way, no procedure.»

    Thanks for the help Tara!

    Bye!

  • OfficeJet 100 disabling settings?

I just purchased the Officejet 100, and I use it via the bluetooth connection.

How can I change the settings so that the printer does not go to sleep/power off after a few minutes of inactivity?  It is very frustrating - I do NOT use the battery, plugged and it still just goes to sleep and I expect my impression and check, and it does not itself.

    Thank you

    Simona

Printer Officejet 100 Mobile is on auto shut off after 15 minutes of inactivity by default in Bluetooth mode.  However, you can disable this function manually.

    • Press the power button to turn on the printer.
    • At the same time, press on and press and hold the Bluetooth and Cancel for 5 seconds.

  • OfficeJet 6700: Scanner is tempremental

    Hello!

My printer came with a message of failure of scan yesterday and I followed several steps I found here to fix it. Now, something strange happened.

I can print on a sheet of paper. I can then copy this piece of paper in the ADF or flat on the scanner glass and it works very well. However, when I try to copy a page of a book (which is what I was trying to do when it all began!) I still get the failure message from scanner and printer everything should be restarted.

Does anyone have any ideas about what can go wrong please? It doesn't make sense to copy pieces of paper, but not a page of a book.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi @sun_in_aries,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you have problems with scanning from a book, but you can scan a piece of paper. I will definitely do my best to help you. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

I would say for updating the firmware of the printer, OJ6700_R1450A.exe.

Please let me know the result and if there is anything else I can help you. Thank you.
