  I hope someone can help me with this.  I just bought a BT of Palm keyboard, deleted the infrared keyboard driver and installed the BT keyboard driver.  But when I connected to the internet via WiFi, my TX recovering as soon as I press a key (any key).  I've tried resets hot as well as to remove and reinstall the BT keyboard driver but nothing works.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  Also, I noticed the alarms on my TX has stopped working at the same time that this question.  This could all be associated with the BT driver?  Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  Solved my problem.  The conflict was with PowerButton.  Once I deleted it, BT and WiFi keyboard works great.

  If you can still access the menu bar, one of the Firefox settings file may be damaged. Try this, assuming you have the main toolbar:

  Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

  • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
  • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press enter/return

  In the first table of the page, click on the button 'show in Finder '. This should start a new window listing the files and the folders.

  Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output:

  Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

  I can recommend Nupower OWC or batteries Anker.  Avoid bargains on ebay and Amazon.  There are too many issues that will cost you more in the long term.

I put in a cd of xp slipstream and changed the boot order so it starts on the cd. It's the only way it will start to my office. Without the cd, I get the error message. I tried to restore the files ntldr and ntdetect from the slipstream xp cd, but still not the same error. Thanks for any help.

  I tried your suggestion when I realized that I had an external USB disk back to home. I unplugged the drive and XP then started normally. Hard to believe it was simple. I didn't even know the boot sequence to check the USB keys. This is one I will not forget. Also composed a floppy such BACK suggested for any future problems. Thank you. You people are great. I really appreciate your help. It's nice to have my computer back once again!

  I discovered the new external hard drive was the problem. Formatted as NTFS seems to be a problem so I reformatted to FAT and the problem disappeared.
  The error message was: the journal of System Volume Information EfaData SYMFA DB file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

  Download, install, update and run MalwareBytes Anti-Malware

  A: drive is almost always a floppy drive, you have a floppy drive?  I ask because most of Windows 7 computers is not these.  I would check the Device Manager to see if a floppy drive is it shows.  Since you say a drive light turns on, it's the floppy drive or maybe your CD/DVD or hard drive fire?  It seems more likely that Windows is suspended to try to identify a USB device, so I would try to unplug all USB devices except the keyboard and mouse and see if the problem persists.  I had this happen with some markets good USB hubs.  You can always add additional USB ports "inside the box" If you have a desktop computer by getting an expansion card - they are not expensive.  They usually cost between $15 and $25.
