PAVILJON ZA 15 Sleekbook 15b 15: error

Touch screen works but the keyboard does not work. After ignition, it freezes, and it is not possible to use the keyboard and scroll. I can't use the mouse too. There is no cursor on the screen. So if I use touch screen it is possible to enter the password and use the laptop, but keyboard is still not working. If I have a several time switch manually, he asks is there any problem, and then leave that gives me the opportunity to recover the system and a few other options (several options) and right on this phase, it is possible to scroll (using the mouse) to choose the options. I tried a few options, but it did not work. On this stage, it is not possible to write anything, so I don't know if all of the keyboard work on this phase. After I failed to solve the problem, I'm going home by using the touch screen, but keyboard does not work. I'm not sure it's a problem with the system or equipment. Thanks for the help in advance and sorry for my bad English

  • Primary (internal battery) error on HP Pavillion Sleekbook 15b006e 601

    Hello..

Please help with the following. I'll try and give as much detail as possible.

Model: HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b006ee - link

    Product number: C6K62EA

    Windows: 8

I get the main (internal) 601 battery error on my sleekbook. Some other positions, I am confused if it's the internal CMOS battery or external battery user can load i.e. one that can be removed.

I hope this is the correct distinction between the two batteries.

Laptop shuts off in a few minutes if the charger is not plugged in and charge. And I get the battery when I turn it on.

During the error if I press the Enter key to start as it says I get a fan error too. But if I just let it start on its own without pressing enter the fan error is not displayed.

My main doubt is what battery do I need to replace - CMOS or primary ('outside' one)?

    System information:

Here is the error I get on start-up:

I also made the battery check and that's what I found:

    Thank you.

    Hello

It's actually the main battery that powers the machine. The report indicates the recommended charge cycles is 300 and you charged the battery over 700 times in 609 days. Well, it helps if you could just and ready for a replacement.

    Kind regards.

    Hello

I think that it s just Vista it deliver s confused but thanks for no apparent reason.
I would say; Reinstall the entire system using the recovery disk but before you do this, try to update simple applications:

    > C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v2.0.50727\conf ig\machine.config
It is a path to the MS. framework
I think that there is a problem with this tool Ms.
    Just to update or reinstall!

    > "Tempro has stopped working".
It is Toshiba tool. TEMPRO can be downloaded from the Toshiba page too.
    Reinstall it!

    > "Record Vista stopped working, it will close and inform you if a cure is found.
You are 100% sure it s Vista and not recording Toshiba.
As far as I know it must be an application called ToshibaRegistration.exe
    C:\Program Files\Toshiba\Registration\ToshibaRegistration.exe

Run msconfig and uncheck the access path to the ToshibaRegistration.exe. Again, restart the laptop.

However, if all of these tips will not work so simple OS reinstallation should help you!

  • Sleekbook 15-b040sl: AC adapter blinking white

I have a sleekbook of 8 months 15-b040sl running Windows 8, which has never given any problems so far.

Today without changing anything (I was not even plugged into the laptop from the AC) the light on the adapter ac (the one that becomes) orange when the battery is under load has started flashing white with the pc is turned off. BTW, the battery is connected.

I turned on the PC and the light still flashes white, but so far, the PC seems to work fine without any error message or anomaly.

I'm still worried about this flashing light, however, I wonder if there is something I can do to solve this problem, or at least to understand what caused it, and if I should send it using techniques.

Thanks in advance for the help

EDIT: I doubt that this can help, but just in case.

white light flashes once every second, but remove the power cord, while the laptop is alimented by the battery and turned off, causing the light to stay lit for 35 seconds and off for 25 seconds. If I turn on the laptop with the battery Cordless it flashes once every second

    Hello @Iaaf ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that the power of entry on your laptop light acted funky lately.

I took a look at your products user guide and found the following information on the power adapter light:

    • White: the power adapter is plugged in and the battery is charged.
    • White flashing: the battery has reached a low battery level.
    • Amber: the power adapter is plugged in and the battery recharges.
    • Off: the computer is using DC power.

If the portable computer is running on battery and charge not the adapter light will blink white. If the adapter will flash white while the adapter is connected, this could be a sign that the adapter is not charging the battery. Have you noticed if the battery icon in your task bar shows that the battery is supported or not?

You may need to perform a hard reset:

    1. Turn off the laptop.
    2. Disconnect the power adapter.
    3. Remove the battery.
    4. Press and hold the power for 30 seconds.
    5. Re-connect battery.
    6. Reconnect the AC adapter.
    7. Turn on the laptop.

You can also test and calibrate your battery. You can see information about this operation here: test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8).

Let me know if it helps!

-Edited to add battery test and calibration document.

  • Upgrade memory on Satellite A300D-15B

    Hi all

I'm going to upgrade the ram on my laptop 4 GB to 8 GB. First of all, I will post all the details of my laptop then explain the problem.

    (Original configuration)
    Satellite A300D-15B
    Model: PSAKCE
    BIOS ver: 3.30
    AMD Turion X 2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor ZM - 86 (ZM - 80 upgrade)
    Genuine Windows® Vista® Home Premium 32-bit
    4096 MB (2048 + 2048) PC2-6400 DDR RAM (800 MHZ)

Then to the right, I installed Windows 7 32 bit top centuries ago and implemented at the processor level and have never had problems as I work with computers.

I did some checking and found out that my motherboard supports up to 8 GB of ram and decided to purchase two 4 GB RAM modules. I made sure that I had good ram to my laptop.

I upgraded the ram and it recognized without any problems and has even stated that 8 GB of ram was installed under 'System' in contol panel and in the bios. As it was a 32 bit OS it has only 3 GB of ram. So I decided to upgrade my OS to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and that's when the fun begins.

Basically, my laptop does not start if I have more than 4 GB of RAM installed (in all configurations) and get a BSOD. I had a few different Stop error codes, but I can't seem to find a solution. Also, there is no all/many options to change in bios, so Im puzzled.

I tested the modules of ram with Memtest several times without error and tried in different laptops without problem. I know that my computer laptop suppors the 8 GB that I had no problem running the 32 bit OS.

All my drivers and other software are up-to-date and work very well and have installed all the updates of windows to date.
If anyone else has had this problem and is at - it a patch/fix available?

Any help, ideas or suggestions are welcome and I hope I can fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

    Melchius

    Hello

You are right. Your motherboard can be upgraded with RAM and max RAM for your laptop model is of 8 GB.
This info you can find in the specifications of the laptop.

Problem is that, for the upgrade, you must use 100% compatible modules. I'm pretty sure there must be a compatibility problem.
Can you please tell us what modules you use (brand and specification).
For example: module 4GB compatible for this model of laptop has part number PA3670U-1M4G.

  • HP Pavilion Sleekbook PC 14: Recovery of Windows 8: PC in a reboot cycle?

Laptop model: HP Pavilion Sleekbook PC 14
    Product number: C7D58PA #AKL
    The system board ID: 18F9
    BIOS version: F 18
    Editor BIOS: Insyde

    64-bit Windows 8 (I think, unless he updated to 8.1 I don't know)

No drive CD or DVD (Ultrabook).

It is a laptop from a friend. At one point, he pointed out that it shows just a black screen with the mouse cursor after the start it (after loading Windows 8). He has no idea of what happened before that, I read a lot of online reports of people having problems after such a broken Microsoft updates for Windows 8 or 8.1.

Anyway, it goes well with the idea of "clean install", nothing needs to be backed up. Recovery media (USB key) was created at the time. I start the laptop with the recovery media and get to HP Recovery Manager. I select 'Factory Reset' which is supposed to erase the whole hard drive and restore the initial factory condition.

After some time (30-60 minutes, not sure), it has completed preparations, which I assume were re - create the recovery on the hard drive partition, etc. It is said the PC will start itself several times during the recovery process, and I should not meddle. Ok then.

After I let it continue, Notepad starts, HP logo and the circle of rotation. After a while, I see a glimpse of what appears to be an empty office of Windows and a window that says something like:

    HP laptop
    < date > < time > (e.g. 14/08/2015 11:15)
    Please wait...

(there is a button in there I think)

Which is available for a fraction of a second, but then the laptop restarts automatically just and this very fact time and time again, showing this dialog screen each time after you start HP logo. I waited about 8 hours, and it continued just do so that even, it seems that the recovery process is interrupted every time with a reboot. If this restart is due to a system error, where I can see the journal, IE. What is the error?

So, what to do next? I have reset defaults in case where (though I think that nothing has ever changed in any case) BIOS, no effect. I have not tried to update the BIOS, but even if I find a new/UEFI BIOS for this laptop, I would try rather than as a last resort, or after that I have the PC back on.

I also tried the other recovery options, lighter, ('System Recovery' and 'Reduced Image recovery') prior to "Factory Reset", but they have not yet further, I think.

In addition, I ran a full system check in the start menu (RAM and hard drive), everything was reported as fine.

Yet one thing that may or may not serious, in case there is a problem of Windows 8: since the PC HP is bought in Thailand, it has a cheaper, 'reduced' Windows 8 version. It's a play full version, but apparently a kind of 'reduced' version that Microsoft sells cheaper on some countries, such as the Thailand. I'm not entirely sure what the restrictions are, at least you can not change the language of Windows system after the initial selection of IIRC (when Windows 8 was executed first to complete installation preloaded, English was chosen as the language of the system).

I mention this only because I'm not sure if it causes certain restrictions on workarounds, such as the use of some other Windows 8/8.1 recovery media created on another PC or downloaded an ISO from Microsoft, or somesuch. I have already learned the hard way that not all editions of Windows seem to be created equal with regard to the options of recovery, being able to launch the etc SafeMode (at least this was the case with my Windows 7, a lot of instructions online for just would not work on it because they are expecting boot options that simply weren't there).

USB media recovery that I use is created initially, according to HP.

    Problem solved. Steps to follow:

    1. forget about HP recovery. Of course it does not work for me little matter how I pray, I went to come and clean up the entire hard drive of all partitions (I presume that the recovery partition went too).

    2. create the installation media Windows 8.1 with Microsoft http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media media creation tool

I created the USB media on a USB flash drive of 8 GB on another PC. It will work and install correctly on Windows 8 system, no need to install first 8.0 and then he move to 8.1.

3 boot from the installation media, install (I chose the option to not save or move anything old windows, after all he was not supposed to be any previous Windows installed) and a great success. I guess you have to download and install drivers from HP separately, perhaps,

In fact, I am now upgrading to Win10.

  • Satellite A300D-15B touchpad plays when the external power cord is connected

I got an A300D-15B for about 2 months and while using it I noticed that the touchpad is hyper sensitive or do not respond.
I tried all settings (and it works fine when the advanced settings window is open!), but return to a document or a Firefox window and the cursor sticks, wiggles on trolling or is highlights of the things that I don't want it. The driver is up-to-date.

After much trial and error, I discovered that it is fine when working off battery power, but the plug in the socket and it is almost unusable.

    Anyone who suffers from this?

    Hello

I would recommend contacting the ASP in your country and by checking if this problem from touchpad seems using a new power adapter.
I read here in the similar topic forum, and the user resolved this problem using another new adapter!

It s really strange but this should be verified absolutely!

  • Pavilion Sleekbook 15 will display the menu boot usb. Restarts continuously.

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15 (model: 15-b022es) in which I am tryig to install Linux.

Since the day that I bought it, I was unable to boot anything directly via USB. I searched a lot on this subject, and the usual causes are order secure boot devices to boot, or Legacy Support options. This certainly isn't the case, since I tried all possible combinations. In fact, the exact symptoms that presents my laptop are not described anywhere I've found. What is:

If I insert a USB drive into any port of the laptop, it makes the computer completely unable to boot. It is not that it freezes, it restarts again and again, but never goes beyond a black screen and make a few sounds HDD (usual start of sounds, nothing weird). In this State, with again inserted USB, I can access the configuration of the BIOS by pressing F10, but can't access devices (usually available at F9) Start menu, because pressing F9 just causes a new reboot.

In the past I've accessed the start menu do not insert any USB and then pressing F9 then I walked into the USB port, entered and left some folder random to force a refresh of the display (and therefore show the USB) and finally selected my USB. It's a bit hacky and I can cease to apply this solution, as my HARD drive is now cleared and there is no file I can enter to refresh the screen and display the USB.

Now the thing is: I can not install any operating system to my laptop if I can't boot from USB, so how can I do? For now, all I get are continuous resets the machine before you get to the boot menu.

And what is the cause of all these resets? Maybe if I go out, I can imagine a way around this problem.

Thanks for the quick reply, but this isn't the problem, I had already tried.

I can handle the start menu until I do not start the computer with a USB stick inserted. If I insert one, it will prevent F9 to enter the boot menu, causing the machine to restart again indefinitely.

However, after having tried everything I could think of (even different file formats in diferent USB drives and for different configurations of BIOS), I went paranoid and I tried with every USB that I have at home.

I was able to start successfully with a Toshiba 8 GB fat32-formatted USB key (I tried with other pendrives fat32).

So, finally, it seems to me that it is a bug in my computer EFI firmware. In the first place, the incomplatibility seems to be a bad transposition a standard on the side of various manufacturers of USB key or on the side of HP. But in any case, continuous restarts instead of an information on the error message (as happens for some other errors) seems to be a bug to me behavior.

  • sleekbook envy 6: laptop won't start, caps lock flashing 3 times

I want to 6 sleekbook and all of a sudden that it does not start and the caps lock flashes three times I already saw the code flashing and tried to rest the memory but it still doesn't work, I ran in problems with the laptop before the blue screen, but it was fixed its own I think

    Dear customer,

Welcome and thanks for posting your question on the Forum of Support HP

It seems that your laptop has a blank screen and a blinking/flashing CAPSLOCK all the time

If the Capslock LED flashes 3 times this means "Non-functional memory error", in order to solve the problem, replace the card memory

Note: If you are comfortable open Notepad, you can check how much you have memory module. If you have 2 sticks of memory, you can test one at a time on the two slots individually to check if the fault is with the module module slot or memory memory your laptop [repeat the same steps to test another memory module]

If you find the above steps difficult and that it is a hardware problem and I recommend you contact HP Support by phone for further assistance immediately to get your diagnostic Notebook and repaired by an authorized HP Certified Engineer
