Photosmart C310

How to stop the Photo used ink cartridge?  It seems to be down at the same rate as all other cartridges, but I never print photos.  Where is the option to disable this use?

  • Re: Don't feed the Photosmart C310 paper

I followed all the instructions, unplugged and repluged, tried to clean the rolls twice with water and a soft cloth, printed from the printer and, replaced all the ink cartridges and clean this area.  Tried different paper, but I'm at halfway through the paper that I had used before.  Paper is not damaged.

I saw where you gave someone else a factory reset.  Could help you me please?

I can help you with your request to reset. I've moved your post from its original location, but see you tried everything suggested by DocCottle here: Photosmart C310 paper not feeding.

There are a growing number of messages in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a reset on different printers.  Reset to will sometimes fix problems, so resetting is not the issue.

A few resets require you to enter key combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were supposed to never access.  These special menus are used by developers and staff support for debugging of problems, but they are not intended for inexperienced users and can have unexpected results.  A wrong button push and you might no longer have a printer, but rather an expensive paper weight.  On top of that, if you happen to the 'brick' the printer in this way, it is considered as customer induced damage and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only intended to be distributed and used as a last resort and under the direct instruction of a representative of the HP technical support. They should not be made lightly!

HP Photosmart C310 cannot print black. Replace the cartridge and ran clean printhead multiple times. Still nothing. Print head alignment failed. Printer does not turn off with power button. Recycled/restarted by pulling out the plug, count to ten and reconnect it.

  • Photosmart C310 wireless problems

I have a HP Photosmart C310 and O2 Hotshot wifi device. Printer test report ot the network is connected and the printer has been installed on my Dell laptop. Printing works fine when I use a cable but the laptop cannot find the printer when I try wireless. When I brought the package in the store where I bought the printer, he tried connecting to the top through their wifi - who is with Eircom - and it worked then. But when we set up return to the Hotshot it wouldn't work again. This problem can be resolved, or the devices that I use are not suitable for wireless printing?

Your Hotshot cannot allow communication from client to client.  Each customer probably only has direct access to the Internet, not to each other.

Contact the manufacturer of Hotshot for more details.

  • Scanning Photosmart C310 problem

On my photosmart C310, I can scan from the control panel of the printer, but if I use the analysis of solution center it fails. I can't change the settings in the solution Center. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the software with no change in results. The HP Scanning window opens in a small window and cannot be resized. He runs the scan process, and then another window opens indicating that a software error has occurred.

It contains the extended next error message: 4, [(3,42,0)]

I have windows 7 64-bit home installed on my PC.

Recently, the only thing to do is uninstall/reinstalling the HP software.

You see the behavior that is described at the opening of Scan?

Check the DPI of the computer settings, the HP software supports 100% DPI only:

    1. Right-click on an empty area of your desktop and click on the Screen Resolution.
    2. Click on the link to make text and other more or less important .
    3. In the left pane, click set custom text (PPP) size .
    4. To the right of the scale to this percentage of normal size, click the drop-down list arrow and select 100%.
    5. Reboot your PC and try to scan from the HP software

Please let me know of any changes,

  • Uninstall Photosmart C310

Photosmart C310 running 64 bit Windows 7 64 bit upgrade Windows 8 Pro.

After the upgrade to Windows 8, the C310 has no function. You are looking for a solution I went to HP to see there was the software for Windows 8. Win 8 software has been downloaded and executed to see there was no "uninstall the Win 7 software installation. When you use the installation of "Uninstall" (Control Panel-> Add and remove programs) to win 8, I encounter errors that left me with a half installed, printer half uninstalled and mistakes now and register the software.

Registry errors have been resolved, the printer prints, but I have no "HP Solution Center", analysis and the list of programs under 'Control Panel' ;-> "Add and remove" these emissions does not show the printing software.

Y at - it a uninstall tool or a way to remove all the HP C310 software without creating a new registry errors?

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, with Windows 8, there is no button 'start '. I was able to remove all the temporary files, but the problem remains: if I re-installed, there is an uninstall option, after the installation has failed, but it would go belly up to 58%, leaving the HP Photo and Updater options.

In desparation, I called and paid HP for some explanation and assistance. Installation, with their help, got the network configuration, find the printer, said it finished but when you are finished, the attempt to set up the HP Solution Center "went belly upward with the message" Installation did not complete. Unplug the cable from the UCB (does not exist on a C310) and run the Setup again.

This removed my support to his supervisor. The net result is "Solution Center is supported by Windows 8 intermittently and may or may not, be rewritten to support Windows 8'.

In the meantime, I can print but have no scan function.

In any way, thanks for the reply and suggestions.

  • Printer Photosmart C310 is suddenly off line

I have photosmart premium C310 printer.  I got it for a little over a year.  I am running Windows 7 and print via a wireless connection to my desktop and laptop.  My router is a 149B 0 of Motorola.  Everything was going well until one day last week we lost power and the next time I tried to use my printer, it says it's 'offline '.  I went through the printer-no paper jams, etc..  I turned on and off, unplugged everything and finally ended up remove the device and put it back.  He says is more in mode offline, but when I try to print (from the word), it gives me a generic error message.  However, it prints a wireless network test report and a printer status report.  According to these forms, everything is fine.

    My ideas, please help!

AndiRae, you probably just lost your correspondence from the blackout. There are two quick things, that we can do for you reconnected.

Allows all first, start by turning off both of your computers, the printer and unplug the power cord at the back of the Motorola router for about 10 seconds. Then plug it back in and wait as all the status lights comes on as usual. Turn on your printer and your computer, and try to print.

If this does not work, I want you to do the same as above, with an additional step. Between turning on the printer and the computer back, run your printer Wireless Setup Assistant again. Now try printing.

Let me know if it helps!

  • Anyone know how to say a printer HP PhotoSmart C310 is OK to use a cartridge installation?

I need to fix this error:

"Print cartridges listed above are not intended to be used for this printer as it is currently configured"

I bought my HP Photosmart Premium C310 directly from HP a little over a year.  I checked the box to have an extra black replacement cartridge included for about $40.  The cartridges that I installed initially are all now empty (it's true, he is not getting used a lot and the original game lasted more than a year).  I put the new cartridge and get the above error message.  After a phone call, it turns out there are two kinds of cartridges, 'installation' and 'normal', and configuration cartridges are accepted the first time the printer is used.  The shipped replacement cartridge I paid $40 for says "setup" on it and it's the cause of the message.

HP support by phone will not help me as it has been more than a year.  I feel like I got ripped off for $40...  Is there a solution?

    (1) use the menu to restore default settings

    (2) remove all ink cartridges

    (3) remove the both cartridge door.

    (4) turn off the printer and get an error msg saying: you must put in the support and the cartridgers.

    (5) install the cartridges support and installation

    (6) the printer says "thank you for the installation of genuine HP ink cartridges.

If your PC can't see the printer anymore,

    (7) print the configuration of the printer, get the IP address.

    8) go to the properties of the printer to your computer and to configure the Port to the same IP.

    (9) to display the print jobs and printer (open devices and printers, click the printer), and then click the printer and uncheck use offline.

  • Where can I find software for e-all-in-one HP Photosmart C310 series Mac OSX Lion v.10.7?

I bought the printer HP Photosmart Premium e-all-in-one C310 series yesterday night and desperately need to print today.  However, the installation disc is not supported by my Mac happening on v10.7 Lion OSX.   I read on a site that I should be able to access a software upgrade via the Apple website, but could not find the last night.  Help, please!

Also, I loved the easy set-up using the touch screen and my wireless mode.  No cables needed!   Now, if I can get any software updated today, that will be great!

Your printer works perfectly in Leo.  Indeed, pilots are probably aready in your operating system.  Get the installation program and be able to use it.  We have a doc that will guide you through the process.  (It's pretty simple)  OS X 10.7 Lion: install and use the printer with Lion

  • HP photosmart c310 on MAC

I have a MacBook Pro with IOS 10.9 (Maverick). My printer is a Photosmart 310

I downloaded the latest version of the software (I hope) and installed (after unistalling the software I was using and the verification of updates).

During the installation stage, it will not recognize my printer (wifi works on laptop and printer). So I can't complete installation.

    Despite above:

The printer is ok, but I can't scan.  An error occurred when communicating with the scanner.

Under printing and scanning, the genre is hp photosmart. How do I change to Hello - maybe that will help you.

    Hi ryebred,

I checked the page HP Photosmart Premium e-all-in-one printer - C310a drivers , and it shows that there is no driver available for your version of Mac software. The option you have is to follow the steps described in this document 'OS X Mavericks v10.9: installing and using the printer on a Mac' for the installation of the printer.

Could you please confirm the software that you have downloaded and installed for your printer? As I don't know what software you have, and this could be the origin of the problem of the printer not recognized during the installation phase.

I've included the document 'how Scan: OS X v10.9'. Are you able to scan using the three methods listed here?

    Kind regards.

  • Photosmart C310: What models allow a black-and-white printing with low color cartridge?

I'm looking to replace my old HP Photosmart Premium all-in-One printer, because it works with reliability more. My biggest problems with this model are:
    1.)
I can't print in black and white when one or more of the color cartridges must be replaced
    2.)
The black ink cartridges work only sporadically. I lost a lot of money on the black ink cartridges that do not work, and I tried all the techniques of troubleshooting many times and no solution.
    3.)
I hate having to spend $100 + to replace the cartridges. It's such a scam!

I have teenagers who need the ability to print the homework on a very regular basis and in a timely. I can't spend another frantic morning, trying to get a printer (with new cartridges) to print!

I hope someone with a knowledge of the range of HP products can explain different types of all-in-one printers available to me... and which would be best suited to my needs. Ideally, I'd like to find one that allows to print in black and white ONLY when the color cartridges are low or exhausted - if there is such a thing?

Thanks in advance for any info, tips or advice anyone could offer!

    Hi @katvit74,

While I don't have any specific purchasing advice @katvit74, I can offer a few troubleshooting tips to see whether your printer is at the end of his life.

You're not the first to express frustration at having to have impoverished the cartridges replaced to continue printing. Personally, I suggest to use grayscale options, when printing so that the colored inks not so quickly adjust upward. Frankly, after reading your post again, I feel that you don't have want to solve your Photosmart Premium.

I value your time and do not want you to feel like I don't have. That being said, we will encircle your initial request. Maybe you would rather a system printer for 2 ink that the cartridge supports single mode, or maybe a Laserjet that prints black only. The printer you choose should be based on your needs. According to me, the best way I can help is to offer you the tool product Advisor.

Tool advice product is designed to target the product most suitable for your particular needs. Please answer all questions to give us the most complete picture of your needs - more information you provide, the more efficiently, we can recommend.
