  When you print from MS Office if you have a photo and the words on the page, what happens? It print the words and the picture is not.

  My photosmart 6510 does not print in black. I presume that it was the cartridge but I replaced the cartridge and it still does not print. I cleaned the print heads and the cartridge ink levels are full.

  I did a test once my pictures came out with greenish and bluish colors. I saved an image I created and that was a lot of red, pink, purple and magenta on a flash drive. Then I inserted the drive flash directly in the front of the printer and the image printed with all the vibrant colors that it should print.

  I took the same exact image and saved on the hard drive of my computer. Printing through the computer, the colors are muted, streaked and red, pink, magenta sine.

  The problem is not with the printer heads or connectors... it must somehow be attached to the HP program or drivers. Now the question is, how can it be fixed? If I uninstall the HP printing software, if I install it again, won't the same problems with the colors appear again?

  Brian of Britec explains the process to remove the stubborn locked files with these two programs listed below. It doesn't matter if the locked files were a virus or not. You can stop and replay the video as much as you want, easy peasy.

  Download and install Process Explorer from Microsoft Sysinternals.

  Download and install Malwarebytes Fileassassin

  That should do well.

  I only use HP cartridges on this printer. I know it's more than a year, in order to call phone support will do no good.

  I replaced both cartridges and now it shows black ink completely full, but when I print the printer status report, black is not displayed. Black does not appear on the tool pages, either.

  I tried the command "clean printhead" several times. I unplugged and waited. I took all the cartridges. Connections look clean.

I'm going to the State of the printer and it shows the order for print and says it's printing but the printer does not respond. It print documents, just no pictures.   I have a HP Photosmart 5514 All-in-on the printer. I restarted my laptop and now it does not print right.

  The printer prints the test page (chosen among the parameters of the printer) just as it should and it also prints everyting I scanned (pdf), but nothing else, really. Of other pdf files, it prints only the hyperlinks, but not the text. No print from word, excel or the web browser.

  I saw your post on your Photosmart 5514 does not copy and not printing from your computer, however, it will scan. I will do my best to help with the problem to see if we can fix it for you.

  Try power resetting the printer to start:

  Press the power button to turn the product on.
  With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
  Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  Wait at least 15 seconds.
  Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
  Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
  If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  When the printer powers back up, try to make a color copy from the front panel of the printer.

  On the computer, run the print and Scan of the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

  Please respond to me with the results to look over it, and we can go from there if necessary.

  The pilots say they work properly even though they may be bad drivers (not always, but often enough). You can get in trouble with your device drivers.  Go to Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers, firmware and/or software (and you should get those updates for the printer and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  The versions supplied with the printer are more likey obsolete and you want the most recent available.

  Do you get errors on the screen or on the printer (and what do say EXACTLY)?

  Pay attention to the installation instructions.  Not only certain tasks requuired, but sometimes they should be done in a certain order or the process will not work.  Check again the indications (or contact the HP support) and follow them to the letter.  Frankly, I would contact HP who willl be faster and much more liekly to work in the end. http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support_task.html.  Why fuss about it when they will be more than happy to help you?

  I hope this helps.  Really shouldn't be much more difficult than with the previous printers unless you've never used Vista before - that can make a big difference.  Installation and configuration of sharing are very different.  Also, there may be some settings of the printer itself that need to be addressed to make things work correctly - but I do not (but HP will be).

• HP Photosmart 5520 does not print in black ink.

  Black doesn't print not... except on the print quality diagnostics page where the text and black frames around boxes all print in black.  Inside of the 'Black' box is empty, however.  When I try to print a page of type, it is either totally empty or very indistinct.  How is that possible?

  I saw three other posters with this same problem, everything from 21/01/14 and no answers to the problem.  All the patches of troubleshooting on the Web page do no good.

  My warranty has expired also.  Is this a systemic problem?  How do we get fixed?

  I don't know what you have tried so far the fix, but I included a few documents to go through the steps to see if we can solve this problem.

  This printer has a permanent print head. You can always run however of cleanups on the print head.

  This document is intended printer does not print black ink or color ink or prints blank Pages.

  Here is a document to clean the contacts of the cartridge.

  'Cartridge problem,' 'Cartridge missing or damaged', or 'Not compatible ink cartridges' Message is displayed on the control panel.

  Please let me know the results if you are still having problems.

  You use genuine HP cartridges?
  Check the date on the cartridge to make sure that they are still in warranty. (not old stock)
  What are the ink levels?

  If you like you can print a new diagnostic test page, scan it and include it in the post, I can take a look to try to find a way to solve this problem.

• Photosmart B110a does not print another property

  I replaced the cartridges of color with authentic products on my Photosmart B110a.  Until then it worked perfectly.  Now it prints shocking images of color in pastels.  Does not print black which is 3/4 full.  I use a Mac.  I powered by printing, computer, uninstalled and reinstalled and still no luck.

  Test pages print works and the colors appear.  I cleaned the print heads.  I have re-aligned heads too.  Help, please!
