Printer connected to the network, but it is not

Hello world. Could someone help me please. I bought a HP4620 to use with my IPad. He ok installed and connected to the network ok. The problem is that sometimes it prints and sometimes not. Print the Configuration page it says that it is connected, even if the iPad don't see. He gives in detail all the same in every situation.
When the iPad can't see the printer if the wireless hub is restarted everything goes back to as it should. 1 hour later and it went again.
Can someone help me please?

I think that this is a business hub 3 if it changes anything?

  • OfficeJet 4630: Says printer connected to the network, but computer says that it is not connected or idle

I can't print to our hp officejet printer range 4630.  The printer says that it is connected to our home wireless network.  However, he said that it is inactive or not connected to the network on my mac.  The only way it will print sometimes is if I switch to a wireless network that is named the same as the printer.  AirPrint does not work.  We have a Linksys router.  Not sure if this is the problem or not.  I ran all kinds of diagnostic impressions on the printer and all say that it is connected.  I also tried to put the ip address into my web browser and it does not find the printer when it is connected to our home network.  Help, please!

Thanks for trying my earlier recommendations. In my view, the problem you are experiencing may be with your wireless router. Normally, I would have you make sure that it is configured correctly, but you cannot access the built-in Web server.

I want to try to set a static IP address, so we can try to get in the EWS. Please continue here: printer does not maintain the wireless connection

A little luck? If you were able to set a static IP address, please try and access the built-in Web server. Follow the steps below:

    1. open EWS (use my earlier recommendations) printers

    2. go to the Network tab

    3. network protocols

    4. Select enable IPv4 ONLY

Now with IPv4 enabled, you should be able to print wireless.

If this isn't the case, you will need your router company to make sure that the multicast is enabled, Hello Protocol is enabled, mac filtering is disabled and ask them to check if there are updates the firmware for the router and the router's firewall check to make sure that it does not obstruct the communication

  • OJ j6480 all in one. : printer connected to the network, but will not print.

    OfficeJet j6480 all-in-one Windows 8

My printer configuration report show that the printer is connected to my home network. My Control Center shows that my HP printe (my only printer) is listed as the default printer. When I open it, it shows a document in the queue, and offline. When I click on 'offline' the document in queue is considered and when I click on "Printer" in this window, the drop-down list displays the default printer, but 'use printer offline' isn't not verified. Bottom line, it's that I can't print. Help much appreciated woutd.

I found someone with a similar problem and a simple solution. I deleted my printer in the "devices" list and reinstalled

It worked. I suspect that your suggestion about the IP was probably on the brand, it had not occurred to me.

  • Computer connects to the network, but not to the Internet, connect to the only local

    Hello world

OK, so I have a HP computer with the installed version of Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I've had it for almost 2 years now and have had no problems connecting to Internet... until now.

I can connect to networks... both wireless and cable, but I can not get Internet. I used the IP, subnet mask, gateway and server settings DNS to another computer that works with this specific local network just to see what happens... my computer has failed.
Until recently, I could connect to this WiFi connection in a coffee shop, but the last time I tried it didn't work. I've connected to the network but not the Internet. He told me that the DNS server did not. I'm starting to think that something is wrong with my computer.

I saw that the solution for some people running the Norton removal tool, however I had uninstalled Norton almost as soon as I got my computer 2 years ago and ran McAfee instead. I don't think that Norton should have an impact on me more.

Is there a solution to this problem... or I'll just have to try everything that is out there?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi MomPlaysBass,

Finally, my problem has been resolved - it wasn't my computer after all. The modem may only be connected to a computer. If you want to connect to another computer, you can connect the computer to the modem and then put it back. My computer worked fine after that. Whenever we want to switch between computers, even if I have to reset the modem.

I don't think you have the same problem, but just in case, you can try to reset your modem - it's a button on the back or a small hole that you can reach with a pen... Hold the stylus for about 5 sec or maybe a bit more and then let go. That should reset your modem and might help you with your problem. Your computer should also have created a restore point... If all else fails maybe you can try to get back to the final point where your computer worked.

  • E-all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart 5520 connected to the network but not detected by computers

    Hello!

My printer HP 5520 indicates that it is connected to my network, but the wireless printing does not work correctly.

In the implementation of the process of the driver software the printer displayed after resetting my router, a Huawei HG655d. I get a "no connection" error when I try to send a print job to the printer. Function AirPrint doen and the printer is not visible on the iDevices. I have the latest version of my OS (OS X 10.8.3) installed, I also tried to reset and reinstall my router and my printer several times but nothing works.

Is there a way to make printing wireless correctly?

Access my printer directly via its IP address works, so the network connection should work. I've added details of the network below:

Your router may not support Hello, who need your Mac to find the printer.  Enter the configuration of the router and see if there is a way to activate it.  It is sometimes called mDNS.

Additionally, make sure that the multicast is enabled.

    Hey guys;

I recently got a router D-LINK DSL-2570U. I tried to install my printer 1102w on the network that has been a success, but at the last stage, I get this error:

The printer has been able to connect to the network wireless using the wireless identification information.  However, this computer is unable to communicate with the printer.

Please check that the printer is on the same network as this computer, and if you use WEP, check that the credentials have been entered correctly and try again.

I have not had any problems with my printer while I was with Linksys router wag120 (my back). Since my new router has many more available parameters, is there any kind of specific settings that I need to put?

    I'm on windows 8.1.

    No matter how appreciated helpis.

    Thanks a lot Gemini02

I followed your instructions but still no joy! Non of them worked for me!

But then I came across sollution by chance!

New routers offer a wide range of parameters that must be set manually!

There is an SNMP option in the configuration page of the router that should be enabled so that you can get in touch with other devices on the wireless network!

That's all! I allowed him and everything works fine!

  • HP Envy 4500: Printer connected to the network; laptop computer connected to the network; laptop cannot find the printer!

I searched through the forums and read a few threads about similar questions, but do not yet have a solution to my problem.  The printer is connected to the network (even printed page "Congratulations, you're connected" with all the relevant information).  It is on the same network as my laptop.  However, when I run the exe to install on my laptop, it does not find the printer, even when I put the IP address the printer gave me on the congratulations page!  I have run Avast Free Antivirus 2015 on my machine, but don't see any particularly troubling parameters which could interfere.

Any thoughts on how I can get the laptop to see the printer?

    Henchman21,

Thank you for the information you have provided to us. I will be you initial steps that could solve the problem.

    Solution

    1. do you have the HP Envy 4500 connected to your computer via the usb cable

    2. If you have installed the correct software for your HP Envy 4500 and the drivers on your computer, you will need to run

    * Note: If the software and drivers for the HP Envy 4500 does not work or does not work the .exe, you must uninstall it in add it and remove programs.

2 1a, you should download the drivers and software for the HP Envy 4500 on-site HP click on this link.

2 2 b If you have correctly downloaded it you must connect the HP Envy 4500 device to the computer via a usb cable and launch the installation. Usb printers will be automatically detected by your computer. Installation of HP Assistant there will be a point he will ask you if you want to configure the computer for wireless connectivity, it's time that all wireless information stored on your computer will be transferred to the HP Envy 4500. If this does not work! and I know that it will not...

    3. you should check if you have administrative rights on the computer.

I hope that the solution I provided will work for you.

Let me know if the steps above don't work for you

    Hello

    I have a problem with my HP Pavilion 2 x 10-N000NA Windows 10, 32-bit version...

I have a router TP-Link W9980 and the laptop connects to the 2.4 GHz network, but there is no internet access.

However, if I use a range extender (powerline TP-Link Wireless extender), it connects to the network and the internet!

I've updated all the drivers, etc. for the laptop and the router.

    Hello

    Well, the strangest thing happened!

There was a huge update of Windows, and it seems to have solved the problem.

Connections now say '(network) secure' or '(network) open' - which they did not before.

So now that I know that the network was very good and it was a laptop problem which needed fixing.

However, I do not know what exactly the update fixed, so I can not pass on any knowledge to solve the problem of someone else who suffer.

I watched a lot of discussions about this problem and I tried methods in them, but still no go.

    Laptop Toshiba Satellite P300-061 / SP 2 / Vista Home x 64

I've been connected wireless with my laptop and my desktop (with an adapter) with no problems at this cottage for about 3 to 4 days.
Last night, I turned off the ability to laptops to detect the networks with the small button on the side, as I sometimes do.

I turn it back on today and the laptop detects the network, but it doesn't connect to the internet. If I have limited connectivity.
I restarted approximately 3 - 4 times and the laptop doesn't always connect. I am currently connected wirelessly on this network with my office and it works fine so that indicates that it is related to the laptop and not the router.  At first, I thought it might be a hardware problem, the laptop detects the network in the list, but it also detects the surrounding networks, which means that the wireless card works.

    Things I've tried so far.

1 netsh winsock reset / netsh int ipv4 reset
    2 ipconfig / renew & enough & / flushdns & / registerdns
    3 Rename the connection
    4 restart / complete closure
    5. deletion of the network in the list and return the password
    6 disabling ipv6
7 try to put the news in ipv4 manually, even though I'm not sure I did it correctly
    8 turn off the firewall
9 uninstalling the wireless card and reboot

  • Can connect to the network, but not the internet, a "Local" access only

Just installed a new router and am now unable to connect to internet on my HP laptop. The laptop is running Windows Vista 64-bit Service pack 1. Pulling him diagnose & repair window returns a message indicating "your modem or router is not available.

I tried several things to get the internet to connect. I have reinstalled the driver, turned off the firewall, disabled the Internet Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) Protocol and manually configure the network connection.

I have a desktop computer with a wireless adapater that performs the exact same OS as the laptop and I have no problem with this connection.

I am able to connect to the internet if I connect the laptop to the ethernet cable. I am completely confused and would appreciate any advice!

    Hi Ima be,

You can follow the steps below and check if that helps you solve the problem.

    Method 1

Try to power cycle the router and the computer and check if it helps.

    On the PC:

    1. Save your work and restart the machine.

On the router or modem (if wireless printing):

    1. Unplug the router and the modem.
    2. Wait 30 seconds.
    3. Plug in the modem and wait for it to come to the ready state.
    4. Plug in the router.

After you put cycle check the connection between the router and the computer.

    Method 2

If the steps above do not help, you mayreset TCP/IP stack. To reset access the link below and either click on "Fix it for me" or follow the instructions to fix it yourself:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357

    Disable the IP helpdesk:
1 hold the Windows key and type R, type "services.msc" (without the quotes) and press enter
    2. scroll down to the IP assistance service, right-click on it and select Properties
    3. in the drop-down list box that says "Automatic" or "Manual", set it to disabled and then click 'apply '.
    4. then click on "Stop" to stop the service from running in the current session
    5. click on OK to exit the dialog box

    Method 3

Disable IPv6 and remove IPv6 virtual cards:

Try to uninstall IPv6 on all interfaces, the removal of virtual cards of IPv6 and reset the TCP/IP stack. To remove the IPv6, go to the properties for each network adapter, and deselect the check box next to the Protocol "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6), which will turn off, or select it and click on uninstall, which withdraw power off the computer.» Then go into Device Manager and remove any 4to6 adapters, adapters miniport WUN or tunnel adapters.
NOTE: You should do this for each network connection, even if they are disabled.

    Method 4

    Disable the DHCP Broadcast Flag:
    Link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756.  How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers

To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.
    2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
    3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    4 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}
    5. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
    6. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.
    7. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.
    8. right click on DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.
    9. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.
    10. close the registry editor.

By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.
You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver for the wireless card.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

    Thank you and best regards,
