printer locked up with a print job

I use an "old" j6400 printer and I have a job in Quebec City and I can't print, nor can I cancel the job... any ideas on how to clear Quebec?

Hello

From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.

Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.

Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

Restart the computer and you should find that the post has been deleted.

Kind regards

Hi - I assume that the page that you see printed is the alignment page.  This happens usually if the alignment process has not been made.  All you should have to do is take the printed alignment page and place it face down on the scan scanner glass and press.  Who must complete the alignment process and eliminate the page printing every time.  If you have problems, try following the procedure described in this document.

  • Print job disappears to halfway

I use Macbook Air os x Yosemite and printer Epson L310. Recently I tried to print a large quantity of the best picture quality. Each photo will be taken aroud 10 minutes to finish printing. What happened after three hours of continuous printing, the print inside Macbook air job suddenly disappears without notifications. It seems that his impression of finishing where indeed there still many pages left to print. The Macbook is not in sleep mode. I use it when printing at the same time. I tried several times and the print job keep diaappears after three hours. What is the problem with Macbook Air or printer Epson itself? Or maybe Macbook Air has restrictions in the print job, no more than three hours. Someone can help me. Thank you

I can't swear, but the way I understand it, the Mac sends the 'work' to the memory of the printer until 'transfer' packages are declared "received" by the printer - that is, here are a few - gottit? Yep - send more... repeat

My guess is that the job can be overwhelming the printer memory or somesuch

Whatever it is, if I were you, I break the work based on what results you have already - if she prints 20 pictures and then fails, send lots of 15 at once to be sure

I'm almost certain that your Mac is not at fault. Mac have been at the cutting edge of technology edition for decades, so that a specific printer was only to him for the life of the model

  • 4508 ENVY: ENVY 4508 firefox launched the print job hangs in the print queue

    Hello

We have a desire 4508 connected via wifi to a laptop 10 (x 64) Windows.

We downloaded and installed the latest drivers available on HP and printers generally LibreOffice, WordPad or Firefox (normal web pages).

But there is a situation when printing fails and we do not know why: If we try to print accounting information for the bank account, the print job is displayed in the windows printer queue but it stucks and blocks the other print jobs. The only way to get the printer to work is once again the restarting the printer spool service and removal of the print job in the queue (which sounds easier than it is actually...).

We already ran this 'Doctor Print' application provided by HP, but it helps not at all.

    Is this a known issue?

Is it related to the driver or more likely a problem of the web page in question / feel?

How can I get more information about what exactly is going wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

  • HP Envy 4500: Print jobs disappear from the print queue and not print (Windows 7).

I just bought a HP Envy 4500 printer,

When you attempt to print from a PC with windows 7 OS home pro (64-bit), the print job appears in the queue and then disappears, but the printer does not print anything.

Everything else seems to work very well know

    • The printer prints the internal test page
    • The printer does print when you use iPad2
    • The printer does print when you use ePrint
    • The PC recognizes and communicates with the printer (tried with USB connections and wireless)
    • Analysis feature works very well - when initiated from the PC and printer

    I tried

    • uninstalling and reinstalling the software (several times using software from different sources)
    • restart the printer queue service
    • Disabling the firewall
    • running printing HP and doctor Scan
    • following the instructions described here (the question is the same but the different operating system):

Print jobs disappear from the print queue and print (Windows 8)

    • combinations of all of the above

Absolutely no joy in any of them, and in spite of more than 2 hours of research on Google and forums search I can't find a solution.

HP... can you give me a solution or is that goes back to the shop?

Well I finally worked on the fix myself by trial and error.  I changed the security settings for 'All' and 'Creator owner' to 'Print' and "Administer Documents".  Why on earth they were not automatically allowed as part of the installation, I couldn't really say.

Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

  • DeskJet 2546 b: Wireless print job stays in queue and poster printer offline after the upgrade to Windows 10

I write a fix I found for a pretty annoying problem involving 10 Windows and HP wireless printers.

My Deskjet 2546-b printer was printing OK wireless to the point 8.1 of Windows until that I upgraded my computer to Windows 10. Immediately after I upgraded to Windows 10, I could not scan, so I reinstalled the printer software and has worked for a day or two and then the printer would print not unless I restarted the printer or the computer - sometimes 2 or 3 times. This went on for a few weeks, sometimes it would be nice, sometimes, usually after the computer restarts, he would simply go offline. Once, he went offline 3 times when I was printing about 20 postage labels, recently he went 1 week without any problems.

Long story short, after a lot of troubleshooting and to help a friend to HP, I found the problem to be associated with the WSD/service Port in Windows 10. My printer still maintains a stable connection with my Netgear router (wireless to the printer light stays on blue) and I was able to scan from the HP software and I could ping the printer... but printing would be just stuck in the print queue (the spooler service) and the printer showed offline in the queue, hardware and windows devices , or when printing from a program like Windows.

I learned that if I went in devices and printers, until I sent a print job, if the printer showed offline, I could save time by restarting the printer simply and he would come every time (less painful) online.

But it's just a solution and not a solution.

Nothing worked... not even print and scan doctor. The final fix that worked was to define an IP address manually for the printer, and then I put the print driver to use a standard TCP/IP port.

Here is the step by step. Your printer must already be connected to your network (solid blue on printer).

Step 1: Make sure your printer uses a manual IP address

    (1) to obtain the IP address of your printer:

    • If your printer has a control panel with a menu, it's easy... Just look in the settings menu without wire/report and write your printer IPv4 address.
    • If your printer is not a menu of fancy and repower the computer and printer HP Print and Scan Doctor network menu display use (wireless), or you can connect to your router from a web browser (usually 192.168.1.1) and look at attached IPs (like me). Some printers can also print a report of the network when you hold down some buttons everything back up and running, but you will need to search the web site of the Internet or HP to find the process for your printer model - the report displays the IP Address of the printer.

    (2) once you have the IP address of the printer number, type this information in a web browser... like 192.168.1.x (where x is the last number of your printer)

Web page of the printer should find - otherwise, use another browser (you can use a tablet or iPad if you want). HP has several different forms of printing of web pages (embedded web servers) depending on your printer model, but they all have a large number of parameters.

    (3) since the network tab or section, look for a manual IP address configuration.

    (4) suggest an IP address or type in a new.  I've personally used suggest and then replaced by the last number 241. You want to use a high number, something in the order of 240 to 250 to reduce the risk of problems caused by your router assign this number to something else on your network. Note the 4 digits for the new IP address manual, you will use them later.

    5) click apply and close the web page of the printer.

Step 2: Make the print driver using the manual IP address of the printer

Open the devices and printers in Windows, right click on your printing device and select printer properties. Follow the prompts to get the WSD port and on a new local port...

    1) click on the ports tab.

    (2) add the Port.

    (3) click on after the first screen, and then click new port type.

    (4) enter the IP address of the printer.

    (5) next.

    (6) select the new port.

    7) click OK.

You have now two pilots displayed in the printers and devices window, you can now print... but you might not be able to scan and the HP printing software may not work as he might want to lets you add a new printer when you open it... If Yes, proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Remove print devices and install a new one.

Need to do this to get the software back HP synchronized so you can scan.

    (1) right click 2 print devices listed in the window of your printer and remove them by clicking on remove device.

    (2) open the HP printer Assistant software (from the icon on the desktop or you can search Windows by using the name of your printer).

    (3) installation/add a new printer... go fast and a new device icon is added to the printers and devices window.

    4) return to the printers and devices window and open the properties of the printer again for your printer icon.

    5) go to the ports tab (yet) and you'll see a new selected WSD port, select Port Standard, you created earlier in step 2.

    (6) you have now two print devices in the window (again), but now everything should work.

These two devices alone from here on out. Do not remove one and everything should work fine. At least it worked for me. I hope it works for you. I'm hoping a Windows update resolves this problem soon, I see many people who cannot print or scan wireless after they upgraded - not just the stuff of HP.

  • CP1025nw does everything but print jobs

My printer started to do not print jobs. The indicator light flashes, then stops, then nothing happens. I use Windows 7 x 64, and the printer is connected via the cable network.

    I have tried/checked things:

    1. power cycled the printer, in no power status for more than 30 seconds (once for several hours), several times.

2 shutdown/restart of the computer, several times.

3 seem to have the last firmware, 20130703.

    4. installation of the updated drivers via LJCP1020-HB-pd-win64 - in .exe.

5 self Test / print pages of Configuration (all 3 of them) very well.

6 HP print and Scan Doctor (HPPSD) said that everything goes well for my printer and connection (print spooler, check pilot, Manager of devices, queue in line, printing device, game port, device crises all have a nice green check icon).

7 test Page of HPPSD won't print.

Only other 'Symptoms', I noticed that are article journal of the events of the self test / Configuration print shows several 10,7003 events with different page numbers. I don't know if it's relevant. In addition, it seems that the printer "thinks" a job printing (blinking) for a long time (two minutes) before stopping, no matter what I try to print. I can look at jobs in the spool queue, then print, leave the queue, then the light continues to Flash for a minute or two, then nothing.

    Hi Gemini02,

The built-in web server works very well. I figured as much as your printing and scanning software doctor had no trouble talking to the printer either.

There is no files in C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS should be deleted according to your instructions to clear the print queue.

However, your last suggestion seems to have worked. I recreated the printing device in devices and printers and printed a Windows test page and it works fine now.

    Thank you!

  • 7520 HP photosmart e-All-in-one: printer Photo ink for all print jobs

Why my printer uses ink cartridge photo instead of the regular cartridge for all print jobs? I need to change a setting? He uses ink photo when I print documents or photos on the internet and it's always the first cartridge to change. How can I get it to stop and use the regular ink cartridge?

    Hi @ohchango,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are curious about the black photo cartridge on your HP Photosmart 7520 e-all-in-one printer. I'd be happy to see this with you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

Photo black cartridges are designed to be used, it cannot be bypassed or ignored. When printing from your computer, you can set it to print in grayscale (black ink only), meaning that it will use less of the photo in the black, but they will still get used for maintenance. For more information, see use of inkjet printers ink.

NOTE: It will use the black photo cartridge for printing black if photographic Support is selected for the type of paper or printing is set to auto or to a picture frame.

In order to help you, I'll need more information.
What operating system do you use?

  • want to 4502: incomplete print jobs

Hello. Recently bought a 4502 everything was fine. I now have the problem of being incomplete print jobs. For example, I wanted to print four pages of bank records using pdf/print but it printed only two and a half years. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer using the cd I got with the product but no change.

I'm on a desktop computer running windows 8.1 and connect wireless. You have an idea on how to solve this problem?

    Hello

You have an email after asking the fix?

Don't forget to follow the download link to this e-mail within the Package section towards the end of the mail.

If this does not work, follow these steps to work around the problem:

-Open the HP software by clicking on the HP Envy 4500 icon in the desktop or the Start Menu, and then click on the link to the Home Page of the printer (EWS).
    -Click on the network tab.
-According to the model of your printer, click Network, click Network (IP) address or click IPv4 in the active network connection type.
-Manuel IP-click and then click on suggest a manual IP address. An IP address manually, the subnet mask and default gateway shows.
    * Be sure to take note of the IP address and confirm the changes, and then close the EWS page.
-Click the HP Envy 4500 icon on the desktop or the Start Menu and click the utilities tab, and then click Update IP address.
-Type the IP address that is configured manually, click on save and confirm.
-Open the control panel and go to devices and printers.
-Right click on the HP Envy 4500 icon and select printer properties.
    -Open the Ports tab.
-Click on the button Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP and click New Port.
-Follow the procedure by typing the IP address that is configured manually and confirm the changes.

Now try printing and check if the problem solved.

    Kind regards

  • printer print additional pages of 'code' on every print job

lately, on my canon pixma 210 on each print job, I get 2 pages of 'code' at the beginning of each print job. For example the first page begins by $(downloadbuttontemplate) appendTo ('body') ;} When the documentisready - and so on for the 2 more pages.

I reinstalled the drivers, but got the same result.  Because the printer is 5 years old, I bought a canon MG2520 - and get the same results.  I'm puzzled - ideas? Thank you.

Rather than add a bunch of websites not secure to the exceptions list, I will contact Java for their comments.

I get this page a partial alignment (?) after each print job.  I reinstalled the software, aligned and cleaned print heads, contacts cleaned print head, but still get this page.  Pretty frustrating.

This image, I see that the printer does not align correctly.  If the unit is out of alignment, then the sensors in the printer detects it.  That's why the printer is constantly trying to perform the alignment.

There is a document with the steps to solve this problem.  The document helps walk one by checking the cartridges and the parameters to determine if the problem is software or hardware.  Click here to access the troubleshooting document.
