Printer won't go into Standby Mode

I just bought printer e-all-in-one HP Photosmart 7510 - C311a, and constantly when my Mac that works on OS X starts in mode 'sleep' the printer sounds as if it is being initialized.  It also has a message on the screen to turn off the unit to avoid damage.  I do not understand, this printer is a 'sleep mode' too?  I don't want you must manually activate it offshore, but he makes too much noise until the mac is turned back on.  What should I do?

Is the printer plugged into a power strip or surge protector?  If so, plug it straight into the wall.

  • My printer interrupts communication with my PC when the P.C. goes into Standby Mode. Why?

Until yesterday, the printer worked fine.  There is no cable or hardware change any.  I am running Windows XP with a jet of Lexmark color printer.

When I restart the printer works fine.  However when the order goes into standby or hibernation mode, I can print is no longer when the box comes back active.  I get a message that "there is a communication error with the printer.  To correct this problem, a box appears I should go to start/settings/printer and make sure the "Enable bidirectional support" box is checked.  Unfortunately, I can't access the settings of the printer directly from the start menu.

However, if I click on 'Options' that is displayed when the printer stops and I click "Troubleshooting", I don't see that the "enable bidirectional printer media" is more verified.  If I check, I get a message saying "printer is busy".  If I click on start again I get the same message and the "enable" box is unchecked.  If I hit Cancel, the box is also disabled.  I enter a loop that does not end.

Any ideas how I can access the printer directly from the start menu settings?  Or how to prevent the impression of no longer communicate with my PC when it goes into sleep mode?

Thank you much, long in advance for any suggestions you may have.

It is a Lexmark Z-52.  After 8 hours of trying many different, including the link ideas that you suggested, I have determined that as a result of some recent Microsoft Download, the printer would work only if I used the Dell printing device incorporated in the installation software.  If I tried to install the Lexmark printer from the installation disc, I got the persistent problem.  I deleted all but access to the printer through the installed also origin and everything of fine.

When I need to change the cartridges and align the jets, I install the Lexmark program, align the print cartridges and then remove the program Lexmark, using the default value of Dell for the printer remaining.

It works, but why I had a problem, I don't know.

    TNX for the comments!

  • My printer 3050 J610 goes in standby mode or sleep, and then I can't print docs it wireless

Whenever I have don't print something for a few hours, my printer goes into sleep mode or sleep.  When it does, it can be used to print from my laptop or android for it.  Y at - it a way to put in place so that it doesn't "go to sleep", and it is always available for me to print with.  I like the printer, but it seems few off that you can't print on it wireless and it is considered as a wireless printer.  That's the only reason why I bought it and now I can't even use it without stepping down and turning the printer back again.  If I wanted to do this every time I was going to just print from my main computer!

    Thank you

Well, I activated the incoming and outgoing settings under sharing files and printers in the firewall. I've also set up a connection between the router and the printer security rule. Since then, I was able to ping the router and the router by its IP number regularly for more than 72 hours. I hope that this solves the problem and everyone helps the dilemma.

  • Satellite 1800-314: when I close the lid it won't go in standby mode

    I hope someone can help.
I recently had my Satellite 1800-314 (Windows XP) re-formatted and now when I close the lid he's going to sleep... the power light flashes orange, when I opened the lid still once, Windows stops and then restarts. I tried to install the Toshiba power settings, defining "when I close the lid, in standby mode", does not.

Have uninstalled then Toshiba power settings and all the settings of ordinary power in the Panel of 'sleep', etc., but it REST did not return to standby mode.
    I'm tired now.
Is there a simple solution that I'm missing?

Grateful in advance for any help!

    Hello

You know it's very important to install drivers in the correct order.
The installation of common modules at the beginning is important because some drivers of Tosh need this application to work properly.
If the energy saver has been installed on the operating system windows power settings will not work.
Toshiba crash parameters the parameters of Microsoft.

In addition, please check your BIOS preinstalled. Compare the version with the BIOS on the page. If your uses of the unit the old version, so try to update.
But be careful. You must use the good BIOS and the right procedure upgrades.

What will do to make desktop computers will be exit during this upgrade? I put all the desktops into maintenance mode before the host trys to remedy?

This part of a cluster DRS ESX Server? If not you will need to manually stop or vmotion the VMS to another ESX host before it can go into maintenance mode - if it's part of a DRS DRS cluster must be set fully automated so DRS can automatically vmotion the VMs before entering maintenance mode.

  • New model 6700 printer, Windows 7, running wireless, "standby mode"

Printer 15 minutes "sleep mode". (hold that it was not a sleep mode option). When you try to print once he's asleep, an error screen appears indicating that the wireless printer is not connected.  After waiting, the printer, sometimes turns on and prints.  Other times I have to go in printing to cancel the print job and try again.  Coming out of sleep mode lasts too long.

Hi, do you have the IP address of a static on the 6700 JO?

  • The printer is restarted when in standby mode

    1 HP LaserJet CM1415fn

    2 OSX and Win7 64 bit

    3. no error message

    4. no change

2-15 minutes the printer reboots and initializes it.

The definition of the printer off sleep or 2 h is not help. Always the printer reboots and initializes efter (screen-hum and white), 2-15 minutes.

Workaround is to have the printer in stop mode. I would really like the printer at the booth of fashion!

The problem is that the collaps HP firmware of a network chatty if WS-discovery is enabled. For example. If you have a Boxee Box in your HP printer network will crash because of all the transmitted network packages.
The solution until HP corrects this error is to disable the feature in the Control Panel on the printer HP:
    1. go to the web site of your printer.
    2. choose "Network" and "Advanced".
    3. uncheck the "WS-discovery.
    4. apply/save
5 made! Now the printer will work as it should.

I hope that HP will fix their firmware as soon as possible.

It seems to power off, but the 2nd of the LHS on the front of the device flashes slowly. I disabled the feature key installation in the Panel. I disabled the "Hibernate" mode in the control panel. All to nothing does not. Someone at - it an idea why this is happening and how can I solve? Thanks a lot for your help. Mike

    Hello

I never heard of this problem, but maybe to reinstall the system can solve it.
Or perhaps reinstall or update the BIOS will help you.
    I'm sorry that I don't have a better idea.

    Good bye

  • Cannot restart; Function F8 does not work; stuck at "restart windows." Put in standby mode.

Put the PC into standby mode.  Stuck in the status of "Recovery of Windows".  Impossible to restart.  Power off several times.  F8 doesn't work no more.

I don't think that XP shows a message "Windows Recovery" when it comes out of Stand By.

    It does when it's Hibernation.

If you've been cycling power, you can have damaged your system files a bit and should probably start by running a chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console.
