printing on card with HP Officejet 4620

I have problems printing on card stock 250gsm on my printer HP Officejet 4620. I have no problem with the paper that it is just the card that will not pass through the printer. What to do or how I can get this printer for printing on thick paper.

Hello

The card stock is not compatible with the printer and therefore will not feed.

You can find the plug to output paper lisyed below, as you can see the printer paper tray Capacities only to support up to 200g card stock media:

  • Power supply problem with HP officejet 4620

I just bought a Hp Officejet 4620 printer all-in-one. It works fine apart from a problem that is if I turn off the power by pressing on the button on the front of the printer, the power goes off. If I then try to turn on the machine it will not until I unplugged the power cable and then reinsert. I think I should be able to put the printer without having to unplug the power cable from each time I want to use it. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Hi - I think I have the same problem. At, first once I power off, the light on the back of the printer green power stays on and I turn again on OK. Later, the green light goes off and I have to unplug the power cable and plug it back before works the power button.

The power supply inside the printer is very loose, and I assumed that the issue was a faulty connection, especially since when I move around the light seems to sometimes get a lot brighter. I just replaced the printer and the power supply in the new looks the same, IE loose, so I replaced it again from a different source in case it is a batch production number. I read in a post "Photosmart 5510: brick of power inside the unit does not move" here which suggests in bulk may be normal.

I also read on power off and power on demand off, but as I put the wireless printer, these shouldn't have been activated, and in any case, I guess they should affect only the power button and should not require that you disconnect and reconnect the power cable.

  • Don't print any black ink - HP OfficeJet 4620 - FIXED!

When I replaced the black cartridge with a black XL version, it would not print.  I went on this forum and saw that some had problems and were unable to solve.

I ran printing HP and doctor Scan and after cleaning the heads, EUREKA!  It works now!

    Good luck!

UPDATE: actually, it didn't work.  Some impressions later the printer started doing the same thing - fading out for nothing.  I ran the doctor print again and it didn't work.  Resumes the cartridge and replace it with another 564 HP cartridge and IT is WORKING now!

  • Printing of booklet with HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809n

Do any one help on printing of booklet? I looked at other messages and none seem enough to cover my problem.

I want to print from Microsoft Office Publisher 2003 and have a PC running Windows XP.

The booklet needs to print a4 (297 x 210mm) paper landscape format as well as 2 pages (A5) by hand.

Prints what is portrait with 4 pages per sheet (format A6) with printing on the reverse back.

I tried all combinations of landscape and portrait etc and nothing works. As I have to do these books very often in the future I want to sort as soon as possible.

  • Two sides of a sheet of printing paper when you print a document with the Officejet K80?

When my OS is Windows XP my Machine K80 sides of the paper, the printer would automatically print other sides of pages in a document, and then instruct me to remove, round tower and then reinsert the document, press OK and the other sides of the pages would be printed.   With the disappearance of XP and I have to change my OS Windows 7 seems to have lost this facility?   The problem may have been caused by the need to set up another printer with Windows 7 driver?

I'm sorry.  Unfortunately, given the age of the printer, a downloadable Win7 driver never appeared, leaving the driver in Win7 as the only option.

    Kind regards.

  • can I print a mirror image of with a HP officejet 4620?

Can I print a mirror image of using my HP Officejet 4620? If so, how?

    Hello

It is not really a printer capability that allows you to mirror image printer, but even more the software which is the engine of the printer.

What device/operating system are you using? If you are using Windows 7, you will find the mirror image option in the properties of printer below.

Often the easiest is to use Microsoft paint to return your image in a mirror image and save the image to print later. In the painting, under the option do rotate, flip the image vertically or horizontally depending on the orientation of the original to get a mirror image.

  • HP Officejet 4620. Windows Vista. Acer Aspire laptop. Will not print wireless or cable w/USB.

HP Officejet 4620/Windows Vista. No error message. Problems started after installing new memory cards and drives. I followed the instructions to the letter several times, without success. When I click on the "Print" button, all I get is a window popping up labelled "HP Officejet 4620 (network); below is a blue dot/circle with an exclamation point in the middle. to the right of that, "BOLD" letters that say 'the printer is ready. below is a message, "click OK to continue." at the bottom right of this window is the bar/button "OK". When you click on this button (that I have to hurry because the window flashes market again and again!), the window disappears and nothing happens: no error message, warning or any communication.  At the end of the day, I tried to connect the printer cable USB (nine) and got the same window. It makes me NUTS. The person said tech (friend) who has installed cards and disks to the IP address of the printer keeps rolling. If that's the case, surely linking directly to the computer with the cable would have worked? Someone please help!  Thank you.

  • My Officejet 4620 do not print black ink

I replaced the black cartridge on my Officejet 4620 with a new high-capacity HP cartridge and it won't print black ink on the test page, any application or function of Copier.  I have reset the printer nothing helps.  The ink level indicates that it recognizes the new cartridge and says it's full.  Black ink out of the cartridge when I put my finger against the exit hole.  I cleaned and aligned the print heads, but still no go.

just in case someone else has this problem, heres whats really past and heres how to fix this annoying problem. its relatively easy to do and more efficient than wasting money on a new printer or have that he repaired as most people eventually do.

going on what? the ink has clogged print heads and solidifies closed. the function of "clean print heads" the printer comes with doesn't have the ability to solve this problem. This feature is to clean the heads Sales, not clogged heads. Why hp decided to make this model without a simple to remove the cradle is beyond me, but fortunately the cradle out and can be cleaned with hot water.

theres a few items, you will need to get there easily, or you could just burst the branch loppers, like I did and vent your frustrations.

you will need: a pair of slender beak pliers, a screwdriver torx T9 (selling auto parts stores them for a few dollars), paper towels and a space for work (its easier to do this in a corner of a room, on a small table or floor).  Keep in mind that you are dealing with ink, then change your clothes right just in case and also catch a paper plate or a few sheets of paper to print to set ink cartridges while you work.

    (1) ok. lets start. !!! FIRST UNPLUG THE PRINTER RIGHT NOW, IF YOU DO NOT ACCIDENTALLY DIE BY ELECTROCUTION!  I forgot and when I started unscrewing the first 6 screws, kept chime jump and im like * beep *? I was impressed by the security measures hp took as model engineering.

    (2) the printer is now disconnected and then go to your corner your work surface and place the printer, so there is a wall or a barrier on the left, and also, a wall or a fence behind it. This just in front of her as if you were about to use it.

    (3) now, what you have to do, is to open the printer as you will change the ink and on the right side, there is a plastic guide that prevents opening all the way to the top. Look on the side and you'll notice that he could jump off with fingers. pop off and open it completely open, so you can get to the screws of the cover you would have prevented access to.

    (4) press the scanner part and the upper part against the back wall.

    (5) all the screws you will be remove are the size T9H torx screws. There are ten total. There are 2 black screws in the top of the forehead and then 4 black screws in the top of the back. Remove them and put them on your paper plate.

    (6) following is 1 screw silver short located under the Control Panel, use your finger and feel under the * button. Unscrew, place it on the paper plate.

    (7) depending on whether you want to remove the face/Control Panel to get in the last 3 screws so locate the illustrations on the top of the printer, there are 2 on the lower left and 5 at the bottom right (1 and 2 on the left explain removals of paper jam and 1-5 on the right then explain change in ink cartridges). then about half an inch South of the illustration of the number 5 on the lip, is a plastic stand. six inches to the left is an another then 6 inches to the left, under the number of the illustration 2 (remove the paper jam) is a third support. Unscrew using your nails. Flip it up just like the hood of the car, and eten on the main top of the printer, keep the flat wire which is connected to the frame of the control panel (if the flat wire jumped because you got too loud, then simply insert it in when you go back).

    (8) then unscrew the 3 long silver screws that are located under the Panel you just popped off the coast. There is 1 on the left and 2 on the side rightish. mix 'em on the paper plate.

    (9) now that all the screws are removed, take the Panel front and partially pop it back together.

    (10) then take all over (the part with the small illustrations and lift like a hood of car, ONLY THIS TIME OPEN IT LEFT and he balanced on the edge of the printer, to lean over towards the wall or an obstacle on your left.) MAKE SURE NOT TO PULL ON THE STRIP OF COLORFUL SON FRUITS LEFT AND ALSO THE FLAT BLACK WIRE CONNECTING PART SCANNING FOR THE MAIN OF THE PRINTER PART.

    (11) then take the pliers to tapered spout and remove the 2 silver tension springs located behind the printer cartridges. Pay attention to where they were attached so you remember where they go during the Assembly. take a picture with your phone if you have to, or simply re - understand it like I did. mix 'em on the paper plate.

    (12) then disconnect the 2 large flat wire and 1 small flatwire attached to the back of the ink cart. take a picture or can remember like I did. I guess bad things can happen if you reverse the on re-Assembly. Pick up the phone and take a picture of quik to be sure.

    (13) now remove the cart ink, cartridges and all, by lifting the front first.  Be careful of the transparent tape little there that moves the carriage from left to right and vice versa. you don't want to damage this little guy. now take the transport to your paper plate. not some ink or accidentally get it on your fingers without knowing or will make a mess.

    (14) remove the ink cartridges and put them on the paper plate, side ink to avoid a mess, these things sometimes drip. put the plate side. its time to clean the print heads.

    (15) then go to the sink, to the distribution of empty ink and turn on the hot water and then let the transport of empty ink sitting there with the water mainly through the clogged color screen (inspect and make you is not a small rubber seal surrounding the small screen, if there is do not waste it. I didn't look too closely and I don't think that hp has them but I have a few other printers). It will stain the sink but water ink he comes out to be sure. notice there is also a small circuit attached to it. don't bang it upward but getting wet does not matter.

    (16) continue to do this until the water is clear.

    (17) then use your finger and rub the screen gently with your finger and then rinse it, taking ink until the water is clear. This continues until there is no more ink and screens are clean. do it for all the colors just for good measures. the color of problem that would not print, you'll notice takes longer to clean than the other colors.

    (18) now look on the lower side of the transport. these strange looking things are the leaders. Rinse in hot water and dry them with paper towels. then flip it over and the breath on the side of the screen again. also between the screenside and heads (on the side of the transport) is an opening which is also probably gunked up. It blows with water too. Then, turn it over and wipe the head again. Repeat this step until no fades or until you are sick and tired.

    (19) shake, then use paper towels to dry the entire unit. Make sure that the device is dry.  especially inside the female plugs. blow inside or out dry hair and dry gently. do not stand there and melt the but with the blow dryer. but the sooner it dries less your ink cartridges, sitting on the paper plate will dry out. the custom of the ink dry quickly just do not take a NAP or go on a date until you're back with part of the ink.

    (20) now you have finished cleaning the heads and probably don't need to do it again for the length of time, it was because you bought the printer. and just as a roadtrip you used a map to navigate, you will use these instructions in reverse for reassembly. but keep in mind when re - insert the 3 flatwires that you disconnected from the back of the ink cart, make sure you that have small metal contact on the flatwires points (side male) inserted so they affect small metal contact points on the caps of transport (feminine) side. ALSO BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE BLACK FLATWIRE CONNECTING THE SCANNER PART PART HAND PRINTER. THERE IS A SMALL GROOVE IN THE PLASTIC WHERE IT CAN SIT TO GUARANTEE NO CRIMPAGE. USE IT. also make sure that the 2 hinges to the scanner portion/cover are placed correctly before the fixing of the top with the 6 black screws.

now raise the printer and reinstall the ink cartridges. then plug in the appliance and turn it on.  If you get notifications on the control panel telling the custom of transport move, then open the trunk and remove the ink cartridges, hustles and ensure that transport is installed and that the tensioner springs are in place correctly. Repeat the operation if necessary until notifications go away or just do a test print and do not take into account the notification if you messed with it a few times already. That's what happened to me and the notification went his own. Once its online, open the hp utility and press the button "clean the heads. do 2 x in a row and you will be in style, with colors extremely rich and "BOLD" and Yes, printed black raven.

    p. s.

You can always take your aggression out with tree limb loppers or Tin shears like I did and cut the plastic Center keeps you to transport directly outside. Completely eliminates the disassembly and reassembly. Make sure you DO NOT CUT THE TRANSPARENT TAPE THAT MOVES BACK AND FORTH TRANSPORT. This way the next time it happens it takes you only 10 minutes before you are upward and printing.

    Enjoy!  -Porf

  • OfficeJet 4620: Cannot sweep to macOS 10.12 Sierra with Officejet 4620

Since the update to Mac OS 10.12 Sierra, I am unable to scan using my Officejet 4620.

I used to use the HP scanning software which worked well but I found out it only works with OS X 10.11 and earlier versions.

The HP Easy Scan Soft says that it works with Mac OS or OS X 10.9 and later so I installed this.

However, when the application is open there is a yellow explanation mark on the image of the scanner. The scanner is selected under the scanner drop-down.

The printer works well, is that the scanning feature that does not work. I tried to reboot my laptop and printer and you have reinstalled all the drivers and application, but it still does not connect.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

    Phil

    Hi Phil,
The HP scanning application is indeed incompatible with Sierra, so you may experience problems.
Remove the scanning HP by moving to the trash, then empty the trash, also remove all currently installed HP Easy Scan instances.

Then install the latest version below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/installations/Essentials/HP-easy-scan-1_7_0.pkg

If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Finally, make sure that your drivers are up-to-date by clicking the Apple icon, select about this Mac and then press on software update.
Click on the Bank on the menu bar, click Reload Page, click all update if an update is available.

If you can meet with other issues, the printer is connected via USB or wireless?

  • HP Officejet 4620: Office Windows 10 connects to the wireless network printer but do not print

I have a HP Officejet 4620 all-in-one that I try to use with my desktop computer. The printer has been added to my home network, and I added the printer to my computer via the tab "Devices" Control Panel settings, but when I try to print, nothing happens. The printer icon appears in the bottom right of the task bar that says the printer has "0 documents pending. Strangely, another computer in the office at home, also running Windows 10, can connect and no problem printing to the printer. I tried to install/reinstall the drivers, reset my computer, reconnect with and without a cord USB, and none of this helps. Any ideas on how to solve the problem? My computer was running on Windows 7 until this month when I updated for Windows 10, so I don't know if it's part of the problem or not.

    Hello dbertentha,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you have a problem with scanning and make a copy.

I see that you said that the upper part of the printer broke but you were able to get back on and now that is where the problem is happening with not being able to scan or copy.

You are able to print, so we know that you have a communication between the printer and the computer.

I do not think that this could be a hardware problem and if this is the case, we will then have to contact HP Total care.

  • HP Officejet 4620: HP Officejet 4620 only ink red print documents computer

    Hello

I'm connected wireless to my printer HP Officejet 4620. I use the XP operating system (I know very dated) I am trying to print Word documents and they are just an impression in red ink. When I try to run "Clean printhead" function black ink prints fine through the printer. Can someone help me or explain the reasons for which the documents are only printing red ink through my computer?

    Thank you for your time,

    Steph

    Hey @StephyB,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that e-all-in-one Officejet 4620 prints in red when you print from Word on your Windows XP computer. I can help you with that.

Probably what is happening is there is a font setting that has been changed in Word. If you are unable to find such a context, then the following can be done:

    1. Close any programs you have open.
    2. If the printer is connected via a USB cable, remove it.
    3. Click on start, control panel and printers.
    4. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
    5. Click on remove the instrument.
    6. Repeat for all other icons of your printer listed.
    7. Uninstall the drivers and the software associated with the printer.
    8. Download the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

Please let me know if this allows you to print in black. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please post it by clicking the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

OfficeJet 4620 - printer keeps going offline.  If I turn it on and turn it on, it's online for a while, but it disconnects again.  My IPad can't print on it. My Windows laptop, 10 shows as offline.  I can open his web page by entering the IP address in a browser and can ping it, but it also shows offline.  It is very annoying to have to reset the printer whenever I want to print to it wireless.  Is this to say that the wireless antenna is going wrong?  Should I buy a new printer?

I found what caused my problem when troubleshooting the installation of a new printer. I have 2 range Extenders. They had the same ssid as my router. One of the reports of tests of the new printer had a warning about it. I changed the range extenders in order to have all 3 different SSID. Now when the ipad & printer are that both connected using the ssid for the range extender in the room with the printer, there is no problem of ipad impression. My old printer is fine.
