Publishing a web server

Hello, I am relatively new to the ASA and have configuration P2P vpn and VPN client on our 5520. I now need to move existing web servers in another box to the ASA.

I think I'm going to need just a NAT rule static from inside to outside and add access rules for each external address on the external interface inbound. Is it his right or have I missed something? Concerned also that adding inbound acl to the external interface can affect existing VPNS even if the checkbox indicating "enable incoming IPSec sessions bypass access. interface lists" is checked. Advice/suggestions are appreciated.

    Hello

    Of course, you can use the same public IP address of your external interface for port forwarding, you just need to apply the acl to your external interface

    Add the line below to the config file. NT and try www

    Access-group interface incoming outside

    If no joy you can try to modify the acl to reflect outside keyword instead of the public IP address

    example:

    list of allowed inbound tcp access any interface outside eq www

    and delete the old (no list of access allowed tcp not incoming of any host 74.94.2yy.xxx eq www)

  • The web publishing tool to send data to an external web server?

    We have a customer who wants to be able to see the LabView to test the results of their office. At our office is located behind a firewall and, therefore, to allow access to the web server or something else would have open access to the outside world and I don't want to do that. Can the web server web publishing LV tool publishes to be external to the Organization? For example, you will need to use FTP credentials to access the external web server? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    I don't see a way to do it with remote façade panels. However, you can take a snapshot of your façade periodically and save it to the FTP server. In this way, the results of the tests are available on the FTP site.

    To save a snapshot of the façade, you use the VI reference (functions > programming > Appilcation control > reference VI Server), invoke the node (functions > programming > Application Control > node call) and the VI 'Write the JPEG' (functions > programming > graphics & Sound > graphic Format > write the JPEG file). VI reference to the reference of the thread invoke node entry, choose the front > get the Image method, and then wire the data output of the Image to write JPEG file VI to save it as a JPEG file on the FTP server.

    I hope this helps.

    I placed the project in my disk space (according to the recommendations of this discussion), but when research address in a browser, it says the file is not found. Y at - it a special procedure to send Captivate projects to a web server?

    As Lilybri said, you must download the entire folder to keep all of the hierarchy.

    The image below shows a project I published locally. The folder on the left, ShapeSVGtest is what you download for all the files inside it remain exactly as will appear it when published.

  • Internal server messages no longer work when published on the web server, but not locally on the web server

    Just upgraded to 8 Captivate and for some reason my server any internal messages is no longer work on the web server.  I can test locally the lesson that always points to the Web server and it works.  Can't understand why when it is on the server it does not work.  The ashx handler that manages to post is fully accessible to the web server and DNS solves very well so I can't understand why he doesn't hit the Manager.  I use IIS to host it and a .ashx for managing for results.

    Is there maybe something new that needs to be allowed in IIS for 8 Captivate work?  .js seems to be fine and firewall is not the issue.  Short of ideas and the need for this work as soon as possible.

    Thank you very much for your help!

    Nick

    OK, finally solved.  For some reason any run under HTTPS lesson could not publish my results.  As soon as I changed to HTTP the results perfectly. All of this makes sense why I could post locally on the Web server.  Hope this saves someone else 5 days of hell.

  • Captivate 8 - video integration problems. Video won't play Web server when published under the title of HTML5. When to play the video it works not embedded.

    Captivate 8 - video integration problems. Video won't play Web server when published under the title of course HTML5 and video is selected to play in the same screen. Play video it works only in a new window. The problem is the customer's requested integrated video and it shows as an option in Captivate 8. In addition, the video screen is not at the same place on the screen, the image moves to the top of the browser window in Internet Explorer. Graphics problems appear ONLY in IE and Chrome for PC. We have updated browsers, installed all updates to Captivate 8 etc.

    The issue seems to be with internet explore. The url is *.mp4, if IE browser opens Media player in a new window to read the files.

    Workaround solution:

    Instead of using the interaction of the Web object, you can use a Web object (objects-> Web) site in the menu object.

    After insertion, select the code incorporated in the style of the real property section. (Screenshot below)

    Encapsulate the url in an HTML video tag and use it as input.

    Input samples:

    https://{website-Address}/VIDEO1. MP4 type = "video/mp4" >

The images are all in the pictures folder and everything seems to point to the right place, but it is not appear correctly on the web server.

    If someone saw, I would be very happy.

    I have it! Apparently, it's the spaces in the URL (which are presented as 20%). When the file is moved/renamed, it worked fine.

  • Publish a web or my-RIO service

    Hello and good day to you all.

    IAM trieng to publish a simple web service on the NOR my RIO which turns on and off one of the LED dashboard.

    If I run the application normally it works, but if I try to post I get an error message that says: no web application service is enabled.

    When I go into the properties of myrio in my LabVIEW project I find the option "configure web application server ' not selectable.

    Can someone advise me what code will be at the origin of this problem.

    Kind regards

    Ahmed

    Hmm... I didn't think you needed web installed app server by the example to work, but maybe you do.  I don't know whether I've installed it on my myRIO.

    You can install the application through MAX Web server

    (from memory here so some the designation may be slightly off)

    1. Launch of MAX

    2. Find your myRIO under remote systems and expand it (click on the +)

    3. Make a right click software and remove choos

    4. Choose custom installation or recommended software together and then make sure you put a checkmark next to Web application server.

    The myRIO will reboot and you should be good to go.

    Let us know if that solved the problem.

  • LabView 2009 Web server crash

    Hi all!

    Here's a simple VI containing any control, functions or library in LabView 2009 f3.

    Web server settings are default. After the tools-> operation of another PC Web publishing tool we are connecting to this Panel (IE6 for example) and put a finger to the F5 not lifting.

    Web page with the VI is very refreshing.

    There are 3 results.

    1. in DevEnv: LabView die.

    2. in DevEnv: need to restart LabView for charging Web server and restore connection.

    3. in App.exe: die

    4. in App.exe: LabView interpreter loose some time-cycles in the cases where they exist, but connection stored.

    5. in App.exe: but lost connection application work.

    Is this normal? Are there settings in Web server to avoid this situation.

  • Web server with CVI

    Hello

    I want to know if it is possible to create a webserver with CVI so that I can connect my application and see the data with internet Explorer?

    Backround: we run a CVI-application on a computer within a network. On this computer, collect US data from different systems and publish these data in a sign of the CVI. Users who want to see the data, connect to the computer with a remote control software.

    Now, we wondered if it is possible to create a web server with CVI. And if the user cannot see the data on his computer using internet Explorer.

    In the forum, we found a few messages very old. Are there new items on this subject?

    Thank you

    As far as I know that it is not supported at the moment.

    And there is the suggestion of product requiring a few laurels ;-)

  • How can I send a HTTP request to a web server using TCP?

    I'm writing a HTTP string to activate a script CGI, server of our company. It seems that the OPEN TCP CONNECTION works. Can I just use the TCP WRITE function to send the HTTP request string to the server?
    Thank you
    Tim

    I know that I probably would have finished faster if I had the Internet Toolbox, but the solution ends up being pretty simple with just the TCP features.
    Here is the solution, I came with yesterday (in the case where someone else needs) after searching Protocols TCP as suggested by "Laboratory Viewer" and examine details in the riding of developer. It ends up being only a string of 4 line.

    GET HTTP://proxyserver/path/file.asp?id=test HTTP/1.1
    HOMEroxyserver

    The first line of the string is made up of three things:
    (1) the GET command
    (2) the URL of the program target (in this case an ASP program that distributes a message preset)
    NOTE that in this case, the URL contained "HTTP://proxyserver" and not only the path to the file. If your not using a proxy server, you can probably omit the name of the server of the URL, but you must always the name of the host server to the second line.
    (3) the HTTP version used

    The second line is the host server.

    The last two lines are empty, but the two are apparently necessary to properly close the TCP request.

    Vi uses an OPEN TCP CONNECTION to connect to port 80, then the 4 line string is sent with a WRITING of TCP and the connection is closed with a NARROW CONNECTION of TCP.

    In my application, when the piece of equipment monitored by LabVIEW begins to enter a dangerous to use, LabVIEW uses this vi to send the HTTP request through the TCP connection and a program of target ASP on the company's web server. The ASP reads the message ID (? id = test) and sends the message page and the text messaging appropriate to maintenance and engineering personnel. People warned by text pagers are supposed to respond immediately.

    Our DSI wrote the ASP that allows you to set the ID of multiple message with different distribution lists. Each message is triggered with a different ID of the virtual instrument according to the gravity of the situation.

    Thanks to other amateurs who have published their questions and their answers. Hope someone else finds this useful.

  • Cannot start web server on the executable file

    Hello

    We have a problem with a Web server - we cannot get to initialize the help of nodes of property or the ini on a compiled executable file.

    As part of our application, we are starting the Web server to publish a status page to be read remotely. This works very well when we are running in the development environment and also when we run an executable a PC with installed development environment, however it will not boot on a PC with just the runtime installed.

    I have attached some of the code that functionally does exactly the same thing in our main application. I used this as my Tester code and built in an exe while trying a lot of different things to fix.

    When executing:

    • The code will sit in the while loop until I press stop.
    • Web server: Active Server = FALSE
    • Out error = ERROR No.

    In the full application the while loop waits a few seconds before throw an error if the server is not started. In this example, I can let the loop running for awhile without leave. Normally, the boot time is<50ms when="">

    It's the ini file to the executable file:

    [WebTest]
    server.app.propertiesEnabled = True
    Server.OLE.Enabled = True
    server.tcp.serviceName = "My Server computer/VI"
    server.vi.propertiesEnabled = True
    WebServer.Enabled = True
    WebServer.TcpAccess = "' + * '"
    WebServer.ViAccess = "' + * '"
    DebugServerEnabled = False
    DebugServerWaitOnLaunch = False

    And it is the Web server configuration file:

    ErrorLog "$LVSERVER_ROOT/logs/error.log".
    LogLevel 3
    The default server name
    DocumentRoot "$LVSERVER_ROOT /... /.. '. "/ www".
    Listen 8000
    ThreadLimit 10
    TypesConfig "$LVSERVER_ROOT/mime.types»
    DirectoryIndex index.html
    LoadModulePath "$LVSERVER_ROOT/modules '" $LVSERVER_ROOT/LVModules "" $LVSERVER_ROOT /... ".
    LoadModule LVAuth lvauthmodule
    LoadModule LVSnapshot lvsnapshotmodule
    LoadModule LVRFP lvrfpmodule
    LoadModule dir libdirModule
    LoadModule copy libcopyModule

    AddHandler LVAuthHandler
    AddHandler LVSnapshotHandler .snap
    AddHandler LVRFPHandler

    AddHandler dirHandler
    AddHandler copyHandler

    "CustomLog"$LVSERVER_ROOT/logs/access.log"'%%u %t \"%r\ hour' % > s %b.
    KeepAlive on
    KeepAliveTimeout 60
    Timeout 60

    As can side note, anyone tell me where the $LVSERVER_ROOT variable is configured?

    I tried the things:

    • Copy a new default configuration file before the entry into force
    • Writing a predefined file (encoded) before initializing config
    • Definition to root before initializing directory (it actually generates an error because the server is not active...)
    • Set WebServer.Active = TRUE several times inside the while loop
    • Toggle the web server in the ini file

    System:

    • LabVIEW 2010
    • PC with Windows 7 running

    Thanks for any help, because it makes me crazy slow!

    Ben

    Hi Marco, thanks for the reply.

    I have this guide was reviewed previously and had done all that he but a small section who gave me a hint of something to try and I have solved my problem, so thank you!

    If anyone is interested, here's the problem:

    The directive DocumentRoot folder in the config must exist or the Web server cannot be started. So basically, make sure that the file points to a folder that exists!

    This leaves two small annoying problems if - you can't see if the file exists (and then create it) before starting the Web server, because you can not query the path to the folder without the Web server running.

    AND

    You can't really define the configuration programmatically file as parameters from the file are responsible for execution, not on the start Web server.

    The result of this is that the config file and the folder root document should be created (and corresponding of course...) when the executable is built / installed on the system. Not a massive headache, but it means do not forget to put things in the build specification and do not rely on software to do the job at startup

  • Can I start Web server when running VI?

    I'm quite familiar with the Web publishing tool in the Options menu. I would not have to start the web server everytime I open LV I only VI running on a computer. Web publishing tool properly generates the html page. This VI is just the race throughout the day and requires no user input. I would like to only it if, in the case of a reboot of the machine, some users might just run the VI and don't have to worry also from the Web server. Is there a way to do this?

    Hi tir38,

    You can use the nodes property programmatically, start and stop the web server in LabVIEW.  See the knowledge base article for more details.
