you have a similar problem like this? It could be a problem of South Bridge of intel.

Detach the GPU problem isn't really detach in the GPU, but this form of microscopic cracks in the solder that connects the motherboard GPU.

  • White screen on Boot and CAPS lock and NUM lock LED blinking on HP Pavilion dv - 6 portable 1210sa

    Hello

I'm on HP Pavilion dv6 - 1210sa laptop with Windows vista Home Premium (service Pack2). It's the operating system, which is that the laptop came with when I bought in 2010 and later service pack 2 was installed using windows update. I can confirm that my laptop is up-to-date with updates of windows and hp installed periodically. My problem is the following:

Everytime I turn on my laptop, I can hear the noise from the cooling fan and the led power and feather touch volume buttons and a wi - fi light up. However, the screen remains blank and the CAPS lock and NUM lock Dungeon LED flashing with three second gap between two flashes. They Flash together and blink only once in a single cycle. It keeps flashing even after leaving it for 10 minutes. I have to perform the hard reset several times before I can get it started. This problem started a few months ago with the frequency of the problem more and more. It has now reached a point where I encounter this problem on every start and even after the awakening of the laptop computer from standby or hibernation.

I know that the flashing of the LEDs is typical diagnoses, but I was unable to understand the real problem. I know the screen works because I tested using an external monitor to work. It should not be the battery (even if it's crap to maintain charge) I tried to restart the laptop with just AC adapter connected (and battery removed) after having done a hard reset and still, the situation did not improve.

Could someone please tell me what is the problem and what are my options? Think you that formatting my c: / and re - install the OS will solve the problem?

    Thank you.

    Please come back to me

As long as you keep your files backed up on the outside, it is to you how you want to proceed. First question, however, is you are in warranty or not? If you are in warranty, Yes, call telephone support and will take care to have it sent repair.

If you are no longer in warranty, however, that the repair can be expensive. You could certainly call for an exact quote, but according to the availability of the room, it might be around $200 and for an out of warranty repair. Money would probably be much more effective if they are presented to a new computer.

BUT, if you're still able to get the it to power (after trying it several times) and you're OK with the disadvantage, it would be nice to hold off on buying a new computer until it failed completely. I hate this word like that but I want to be realistic with you. I'm sorry that you are having this problem. As I said though, your files are the priority. Keep all your documents and photos and other precious files saved on an external hard drive or flash drive. Let me know if you have any other questions

  • Of failure, white screen MacBook Pro HARD drive try to boot from the external HARD drive

    Hello

I have a 2008 Macbook Pro which is having some problems, I was able to fix them, but eventually the hard drive failed. I know that because at startup until it would have a white screen Uni (no logo) and you can hear a clicking on in the lower left corner. I thought initially it was a memory problem, but after opening and verification of memory, it's clearly the hard drive.

I solved this problem temporarily (until I can replace the HARD disk) by installing El captain on an external HARD disc and start from that. Here's the twist, I couldn't he can begin to El captain, I tried CMD + R, CMD + OPT + R, CMD + OPT + R + P and now shift. Everything that's happened would be that clicks would cease to release the keys.

I left the macbook on while I'm at work, when I got home it was on the screen to connect the external HARD drive.

I accidentally closed the macbook yesterday and again once when I tried to log on, I could not and I left it on a white screen while I was sleeping. There is a possibility that he may have launched from the HARD drive when I get home, but if not, is there something that escapes me to force do this?

    See you soon

Usually start up to a blank screen without the Apple Logo, may report one of the following:

    • Hardware failure
    • Boot drive is not recognized as valid and updated updated
    • OS X essential software is missing, hurt moved or renamed or corrupt
    • A firmware update is necessary

No matter who, in order to boot from an external drive "bootable", you would normally hold down the Option key until you get a screen that offers a number of devices to try to boot from.

Alternatively, you can try holding down the C key to try to boot from the external drive.

If none of these startup options work, then the bootable disc or the USB port on your MacBook Pro can be the question.

Since you have a Mac pre-2013, if you hold down the D key while booting, the built-in Apple Hardware Test should start up.  This can help to identify hardware problems.

  • Tecra A11 - 113 - white screen and the cursor of the mouse during the boot

    Hello

My Toshiba Tecra A11-113 with win 7 32 bit boots with a mouse cursor and the visible white screen.
I tried to start under different boot options. Mode, safemode, last repair job configuration
and msdos command only... all these startup options give the same result.

I also tried with win 7 32 bit dvd, but same result.

I am able to access the C drive by booting with a linux key, so the data is visible.

Can someone please give me a solution?

    Thank you

What happens if you access the BIOS? Is menu visible on-screen BIOS?
Turn on the unit F2 button and press.
This should allow you to access the BIOS.

If you will be able to access the BIOS and see everything as usual, then the screen is OK and I think there is a problem with your installation of Windows System.
So boot from the Toshiba Recovery disk should help you solve this problem.

You said that you already tried to boot from the Windows DVD disc is this Toshiba Recovery disk? In my opinion, you use this disk to restore the laptop to factory settings.

It will charge is no longer and the charging light does not illuminate.

Does not respond when you press the power button, even using from the mains.

Is it a common problem with this model?

It is possible to address the question, what are the steps involved in the process?

Laptop needs spare parts to fix this?

    Thank you.

    > Is it a common problem with this model?
Certainly not and something like this can happen on every laptop.
On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what problem can be. All of a sudden switch OFF may be related to material high temperature and overheating.
I put t know how I can you use your laptop on battery power, but I hope you don t use it in the lap or bed and the air vents are not blocked somehow.

Place the laptop on the desktop and check if the same thing will happen again.

When the laptop turns off and you leave it for a while, can you restart normally?

  • Satellite Pro 4030 boots with white screen - works OK on an external monitor

My sat 4030 pro, Vibrio W98SE, boots to a white screen. When I press the lid closer, or use Fn/F5 it turns black. It works fine on an external monitor.

    Hi Robert,.

If your screen is displayed correctly on an external monitor, then it indicates that your chip graohics still work correctly, then you the problem must be with the LCD itself, the FL inverter or the connecting cable to the main Board. I would recommend that you contact an authorized Service partner who can perform other tests to diagnose the fault.

  • my XP is not booting (white screen) and crashes at isapnp.sys then in safe mode.

My XP Home Edition is not booting (white screen) and crashes at isapnp.sys then in safe mode. Please help as soon as possible because I need this platform for school!

What is your system brand and model?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

The symptom often means that your system is of a malicious software.

With this particular symptom of hanging on isapnp.sys in Mode safe is to search for a driver of zero-byte length file in the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder.

Of course, you have to boot the system on something in order to access the hard drive to find the suspicious file and get rid of it.

If you have any installation CD bootable XP real where you start in the XP Recovery Console, or you are not sure what type of bootable CD, you have,
make a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console or Hiren Boot CD and don't forget.

There is no XP media needed to make a Hiren Boot CD or a bootable XP Recovery Console.  You can access the folder and check if
There is this action suspect file and take.

Once you're booted to the CD of your choice, navigate to the following folder (assuming that XP is installed on your C volume):

    c:\Windows\System32\Drivers

Looking for a file that ends with an extension .sys and zero bytes in length.  The file can also have a curious name because she may have been generated at random.

If you are in the XP Recovery Console, issue the following command in the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder:

    dir *.sys

Files Scrolls one screen at a time.  Look at the list of files with .sys extensions and their lengths.  You don't need to
worry about directories...  If you see a file with a .sys extension which is zero byte, it is suspect.

If you use just the Mini XP Mode a Hiren boot CD (which works as Office XP), navigate to the folder of the my
Computer desktop icon and locates the suspect files.

You really want to remove the suspicious file once you get running and you run some scans for malware, but if you are
not sure what is the suspicious file or if it might be necessary, just rename the suspicious file for now, in case you are not sure.

For example, if you find zigxrtml.sys folder had a length of zero byte, rename it:

    Rename zigxrtml.sys zigxrtml.bad

Renaming or removing the suspicious file to get the system running is not resolved the problem.  It is the symptom of the problem.

The problem is your system is infected by malicious software and you should always follow up with a few scans to remove infections.

Once your system is running, followed with MBAM and SAS to be sure that the affliction has really been removed.

Reduce the risk of malware by running some scans.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

It can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans by operating clean, restart, test your task manager and we can repair any other pending issues.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • System does not boot, get the white screen after preparation for auto repair

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite with Windows 8 and yesterday there were some ongoing update and must restart.  When the computer reboots, it took some time and then I got a blue screen (very quickly) who said something as she encountered a problem and needs to fix (it is really fast and I can't see the whole text).  Then goes and comes back as it is booting (with the toshiba logo) and he says prepare auto repair.  Then it goes to a white screen. I tried to get into the HARD drive recovery (power with F12) and when I select HDD Recovery and confirm Yes, it just goes to a blank screen.  I went into the Setup utility (powering now F2 while) and has chosen default install and who does not either (although it has fixed the problem with my keyboard backlight does not). Support of Toshiba said that it is the operating system, not the hard drive.  But I need a drive recovery media that will scan all.  Anyone know other options?  I have a disc of recovery of a Microsoft coming 8 Pro (dell).  Would it be an option, to use it (I got it on a flash drive) and start-up of that?  Thanks for the help.

    Hi John,.

    Thank you for the update.

Given that you want to use the Windows 8.1 recovery disk, you won't perhaps able to start Windows 8 using Windows 8.1 because the computer may not be able to find the files of Windows 8 start to recover.

Yes, you pouvez install 8.1 Windows using the recovery disk. However, you may not be able to perform the upgrade option when installing Windows 8.1. When you click install now and follow the instructions, you must choose the Custom Advanced option to continue installation. Choose Advanced custom options will create a folder in the C: drive (or any other partition when you do not want to install) named the Windows.old folder which expected to have all of your files and documents of previous installation and are accessible.

Make sure you have the drivers available for the devices installed on the computer as network card, drivers etc. of video card you install Windows 8.1.

Hope the information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

    Thank you.

  • C50D-a satellite won't boot cursor static white screen

Hi my laptop to the top powers, but do not start. All I get once it is consumed on is a white screen with a STATIC cursor top left. It won't go any further than that.

I've read about problems with a white screen flashing cursor in the top of the left black screen of death. But my cursor does not blink.

I tried all the solution suggestions given to the white screen of death and nothing. I tried to change the ram nothing. Hard drive is fine, it has been read and consulted in a desktop machine.

I tried to ram on its own in housing individual and noticed that ram not placed in 1 location I get black screen no cursor.

On his own in the other powers, but all I get is this accident of static cursor.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

  • Satellite A300-1LT won't boot up - white screen & no HARD disk activity

I had a problem, the touch pad does not work.
I found on the internet solution to stop computer, take out the battery, wait a bit and try again.
    That's when my problems start.

When I put the battery back on, I turned on the laptop.
White screen (nothing happens), led indicators are on (except for the hard disk), cd drive tries to read but nothing happens and the fan is running.
I tried everything I could find (wait 30 minutes, take out, start without battery battery, etc.) but no luck.

My lap top is Satellite A300-1lt, and I got 2 months.
I don't want to take it to the service, unless it is really necessary, because I really need now, I can't wait for weeks until what he returned.

Please can someone help me out, Im desperate...

    Thanks in advantage...

Connect your laptop (with battery) to the power supply and leave an hour, try to restart your laptop. If portable starting again let it run until the battery will be fully recharged.

I hope that it will work properly again. I had a similar problem with my Satellite A300-1LI, and I do this. Laptop now works perfectly with or without adapter.

  • Satellite A60 - white screen Freeze on Boot up

    Hello

My laptop Satellite A60-106 has developed a problem starting up upward. It just hangs on a white to the startup screen until I see all the graphics. It seems that it can access the CD/DVD drive, but any attempt to start with a recovery disk fails in the same white screen and it freezes. I tried the advice from manufacturers that power with the F12 key and another suggestion on the
CD hold down the C key while powering brings the same result.

Nothing other than the white screen. I tried F8 to see if I can get into safe mode but it will not exceed the original deaf of readers and then silence. I can't imagine a way to get it to allow me to pass. I'm sure you can however? I'd be happy to format and reload but if I can't access the drive so how can I do this?

I wanted to increase the RAM, but all the suggestions in the book of the hand do not relate to the layout of my laptop. The small Access window on the bottom of the laptop will not provide sufficient access to the RAM? Poking around the RAM could have induced this white screen lock?

    Thank you
    Charlie

    Hello, Charlie

To be honest you have serious problem and I really don't believe that you can solve alone. It is not easy to say with certainty why white screen occurs at startup to the top. In my opinion there are several reasons responsible for this.
    -Display (electronic LCD screen, cable)
-as far as I know white screen occurs if FL dimmer makes background light but there is no signal display can be defects on the motherboard and there is no video signal

The best thing you can do is to contact the authorized service provider. They check your laptop. They have special tools and there is no problem to know why this happen.

    Good bye
