Recovery facility does not

G62-340US.  I bought the HP recovery discs.  The #3 disk (Windows 7 Home Premium Home installation), it proceeds through the installation, but eventualy produces an error message: "Windows cannot complete the installation.  To install Windows on this computer, run the Setup again. "I press 'OK', he goes back to the top and the same thing happens. Again and again...   Either with the disc in the drive and not in the reader.

I guess I bought the correct recovery disks, and I do not have chhanged all the material on the laptop.  The wipe clean recovery process HD, so there is no possibility of a corrupted file (from front) get in the way of installing Windows.

I'm stuck!

Hello

Here is another solution, you can try.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create an installation of Windows 7 'detail' disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    Hello

as my PC still locked after 10 minutes (surfing on the net, use of Ms office,...) Finally, I decided to reinstall Windows and made a record of recovery facility. Indeed, remove all software (office, Chrome,...) and reinstall it did not solve anything
I reinstalled and noted installation was indeed very slow (hours) until he stopped at stage 47 of 47. Wait again for if long step 47 in the end, he didn't move at all.

I rebooted, and then asked for an administrator password to WIndows7. How can I know, I didn't create any user.

Then I restarted in safe mode, where I could create a user with administrator rights (if did not create a password for it)
Then I could log on, but he again immediately on screen Toshiba Leading Innovation above windows again stuck again at stage 47/47. No movement at all new.

So I decided to lower-level security the lowest level regarding ' when the software is installed you are not asked to leave.
Indeed, the stage 47, then ends.
But then, I get another step of the installation with the comment "of worden systeemprestaties nu geclassificeerd. It's the Dutch version, which means "Systemprestations are now classified."
I am progressing a little, but after about 10 seconds, it stops and the progress bar does not continue. Automatically restarts windows and sometimes not help waiting hours. He leaves with execution step 47 of 47, going back to "Systemprestations are now classified", but always stucks there yet.

I don't really see a solution, please help me.

As Windows 7 is pre-installed, I have no CD/DVD official WIndows7 and cannot rely on the Toshiba recovery tools.
I would expect Toshiba Recovery does all the work...

Even if you are not a professional IT guy, the recovery process is not really complicated...

Usually, you must boot from the recovery disk and have to follow the instructions on the screen... that's all...

I also got my two laptops Toshiba repeatedly and never questions had mentioned in your message... in similar cases, I recommend always repeat the recovery procedure or check the hardware parts; for example the HARD drive...

I have an old Satellite A30-203 and have a problem. I tried to format my laptop but the product recovery cd does not seem to work in deletion the data on my disk, its becomes blocked during loading files of ntfs? Now I am not able to retrieve a windows session would I need a new product recovery cd and would be able to get it?

    Thank you

    Hi dimation,

It is difficult to say what is the reason of this but made is either it s a laptop problem itself or the recovery disc (e.g. scratches) causes this problem.

In my opinion the best way to check this using a Microsoft Windows disk. If the installation completed successfully, you need a new recovery disk. As a result, you can ask a service provider authorized in your country! :)

I just replaced the hard drive and the recovery CD does not completely load. After having ejected the second CD, the file loading process stops at 12%. Well - here I answer to my own problem in case someone else has the same problem.  The second disk files recovery finally finished loading after 20 hours of waiting!  I spoke to two different technicians to support HP on the phone and neither one of them told me that it could take a long time to load the files!  One of them had me arrested and again after about 40 minutes of waiting.  I found it totally by accident after having frustrated and leaving it just stay there all night. Amazing!  The rest of the restore procedure went well after that - I think.  I'm always load all other software, files and updates, 2 days later.  The hard drive on this dog only lasted a year.

  • My recovery CD does not work and will not install my genuine copy of Windows XP.

    XP Home Edition.

I bought a computer acer laptop, which came with a pre loaded windows XP Home Edition. As I had to format the laptop for some reason, I used a pirated version of XP.  Now, I want to install the original version. I have the product key. You need to start using the CD - no existing OS - and install it to clean.

It will wipe your drive first, back up your data on an external support.

  • the system recovery media does not support this computer

I have a HP G7-1365DX and the hard drive (750 GB) is a failure.  I did a recovery file on a USB key from the recovery partition and then replaced the hard drive with a 120 GB SSD.  When I tried to reinstall the USB system, I get the message "the system recovery media does not support this computer."  Is it because the hard drive was replaced by a SSD?  How to restore the system if the recovery disk does not work?

    Hello

You are right about the source of this problem - HP recovery media often has problems of restoring the operating system on a smaller disk in quality than appeared on.

There are a few options available.

    1. if the 750 GB drive is still able to operate, use your recovery media to perform a factory reset and then use software (or Windows 7 own imaging utility) for this clone of your SSD.

2 create your own recovery media to use to run the installation - it would be my personal preference.

  • Recovery Manager does not recognize a flash drive

Well, this is my second attempt to create recovery media, initially I thought the drive was defective and returned. I would go to 8.1 but would create recovery first. Recovery creator does not recognize the cross (SanDick Cruzer 16 GB) flash drive the forums and google around and have not really found a solution. Help please? Must I resort to buying discs for this purpose? I don't see any mention of this player being Win 8 compatible.  PC is the new HP Envy 1430. THX...

I said in my initial inquiry, I can't find any compatible 'Win 8' claim for this device. The packaging claims to be compatible by the bias of Win 7, but no mention of 8. Hello! Looks like you have a couple of choices for me. Use a PNY flash. Create an image of your operating system with a third-party App or get some DVD high quality. I agree that the drive is useless for the recovery of the system. I've seen your problem before on other forums and other products. I do not have the answer.

  • Satellite A100: Recovery DVD does not work

I want to restore my Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop to its original factory condition, but the DVD that comes with the package of recovery does not work...

I have load to start computer press F12, and it starts on the DVD. It says "Loading RAMDISK Image", after which I am told by Toshiba customer service there should be options to clean up the hard drive or restore Windows XP.

However, after VIRTUAL disk, I see a cursor on a black screen, and then the laptop off and restarts. After the connection, NO CHANGES made...

What is the problem with that? How can I really use this recovery DVD?
    Someone help me please.

    Thank you.

    Hello

The recovery procedure is not difficult.
Just try to boot from the recovery CD or DVD and follow the Guide on the screen line.

Your problem is very strange. You have created all the partitions on the HARD drive?
I put really t know why your recovery CD doesn't work properly, but I think you should try to completely format the disk (also partitions), then try to boot from the recovery CD.

Don't forget that the laptop is in the boot mode. (don t mix the standby or hibernation mode)

  • Win 7 64 bit HP recovery CD does not work

    Hi all

I ordered the HP Windows 7 64 bit recovery CD and it doesn't work.

When it separates partitions, and it displays its progress as usual for example

    1/7 full
    2/7 full
    3/7 full (files copied etc..)

but around 3/7 or 4/7, the sound of the CD in road changes and it seems that it restarts continually.

I am confident that the problem is related to this CD because the other disks work properly and the 32-bit recovery CD, I had with laptop computer reinstalled Windows very well.

I wonder what could happen? I have contacted the company on this topic and am waiting to hear. I see no damage to the evidence on the record, and I take great care in general. All I know is it does not work. Any ideas?

    Thank you
