Recurring meetings TMS booking limits

Hello, I have a customer who wants to be able to book a recurring meeting every Monday in his TMS until 2017. He gets an error message saying ".

Selected date will result in a number of higher than the maximum 100 "recurrences. Is there a way to increase this value is greater than 100? I looked in the settings and can not find anywhere where you can increase this number... maybe I'm missing something. Let me know. Thank you!

Hi Steve,.

This limit is 100 and it cannot be changed, unfortunately. See the help page for TMS:

  • 5320 MCU in TMS - booking Conference

I have a new 5320 MCU configured and managed in the TMS.  I can create a conference directly on the MCU, add participants, and it will dial a number and join the participants to the call correctly.  However, if I try to book a conference at TMS by selecting the participants and resource MCU, MCU does not connect endpoints for the call.  If I look at the details of calls that it said shows the following.  It's like he is waiting for the client to call the bridge, not the MCU outbound calls to customers?

Participants will connect using this route:

    Customer MOVI ==> Bridge

Hi if it is customer movi you attempt to dial, you must assign the automatic Conference connect and then add outgoing call participants where you type the movi/jabber address manually. You can see the connection setting tab before saving the Conference to see how the call will be set up (if the mcu expectd the customer allowing to switch or the mcu dial out). Customer MOVI has not automatically as regular endpoints generally have for the SCM cannot guarantee the call will implement.

In photo book, you're limited to backgrounds and works of art, how do you charge additional backgrounds and art to existing themes? How can I create my own theme?

I am passionate about photo books, but I never use the function in the elements, I create my own pages one by one, using my own backgrounds, provisions and effects. All online printing services allow you to download your pages.

You must understand how to use layers and masks, effects, etc. selections but it's fun to do it yourself once you are comfortable with these tools. These services usually offer book online creation features that are as good as the feature in elements, and which will give good ideas when you master the standard tools in elements.

  • Integration of CUCM, CTS and TMS

We currently have a 8.6/CTS-Man/CTMS CUCM environment for our telepresence system.  All systems are CTS only.  Currently, connect us to a Tandberg system via Server CUBE/VCS/telepresence.

We are looking at the possibility of integrating the two systems together.  This would involve decommissioning our CTS-man and using their existing planning TMS.  Networks would be open to each other so that they didn't cross highway of CUBE/VCS.

Can someone tell me please to some documents on the integration of the TMS with our CUCM for planning?

Furthermore, is it possible to have a single MSDS to perform the planning on the two CUCM registered CTS and saved VCS Tandberg endpoints end points, as well as to perform planning tasks for Community trade marks and MSE8000/telepresence Server?

    Thank you

    Hi Nick

It is a very good question, and the bellows are drawn from the responses on the features that each product can provide you (CTS - Man and TMS) however as we know the TP Cisco world is changing and moving quickly if the bellows has been updated / changed and can someone comment on this topic will be great for us

    Meetings 1-booking

    TMS:

    -adhoc and meetings,

    -3rd-party endpoints reservation.

    -Ms Exchange, Domino, and API

    CTS - Man:

-mainly used for endpoints STC booking

-You can book and include cisco webex

    -Ms Exchange, domino and API

    2 features

    TMS:

    -End suppliers Multi points

    -Telephone directories

    -planning of conf

-management endpoints (monitoring, Reporting, strong alerts... etc)

    -commissioning

-integration with 3rd party such as Ms exchange

-"There is no button to push" for the endpoints of CTS (you can add CTS alis for TMS rooms and book it or add the E164 of the external endpoint CTS as a participant and not these means are a button to push the meeting!

    CTS-MAN

    -integration of calendar

-Midware between CTS, CUCM system and society of calendaring system

-provide 'a button to push' scheduled meetings

-provide interoperability simplified such planning via Cisco MXE

-Live English option and CTMS geographical selection

for each of them can provide you with options and features and its depends on the needs of your business, you could keep both or just go with one, if you have endpoints of VCS I would say for sure to the TMS

  • TMS Video Conference MAster API commands

I have a scenario where we use the master setting of Video conference in TMS to try to set some parameters in a room that are controlled by a third-party controller.

So if a site is the master we configure profiles as back camera on the monitor back on the sharing of specific content etc...

I went through the document of the API to find answers, but I can't find what I'm looking for.

When TMS books call all of this info stored locally on the codec before the beginning of the call?  So I could query codec to find out if he was master in the next cal...

I found that the subject of conferences has the info I need, but I don't know how to access it.  I could go in and leave the data I need I think.

My good that process would be to get the call ID once we first booked and updated the list of session on the codec, then go to the object of the reservation for this ID call and parse the xml file.

I know it's weird but I am is my correct thought that there is a file object of booking for each call?

    HI Brandon,.

If I understand your question, you can run the command on a TC endpoint:

    xcommand booking list

This will provide information about the meeting, as well as the following line:

    * r BookingsListResult booking 1 role: Master

If it is not master it will say slave

    Hope that answers your question

  • Recurring appointments of blackBerry Smartphones

So here's the problem: I'm currently Blackberry desktop manager 4.5 installed and tried also with 4.6, same problem. I have the 8330 and Sprint v4.3.0.127. I just got it two days ago. I have Outlook 2007 and I try to sync my appointments. My contacts synchronize perfectly well, but the problem is with the appointments. Here is the problem :--> all my recuring meetings that have been setup to someone else, that I agreed to see the place 4 hours less on my blackberry. So if the appointment made at 07:00, it will appear as 03:00. --> All recuring meetings I have install, show perfectly well high. All non-recurring meetings show as well. What could be the problem here, this problem occurs with 4.5 and 4.6. In addition, I don't work with a BES I have BIS. I need to fix this problem.

I eventually found the problem, looked at one of the sites of Smartphone.  A treo user was having a similar problem with Outlook 2007 and I tried what he did and it worked.

Here is the explanation I also posted on the Blackberry Forums:

Pretty much what you need to is, for all of the recurring appointments in Outlook 2007, open them and edit them.

    Here are the steps:

    1. double click on the recurring meeting.

    2. choose "open the series.

    3. then next to "Back" you will see "Time zone", click it.

    4. after clicking on 'Time zone', double click on frequency and you will see your time zone here.

    5. after that click on 'Ok', and then click Save & Close.

After you do this for all of your recurring appointments, try again, syncing with your blackberry and it will update with the correct time.

I have literally spent 5 hours trying to figure out this problem and reading several forums, even Smartphone forums and someone was having this same problem.  That's what they did, and I decided to try it and it worked!

So I guess the problem is with Outlook 2007 and not Blackberry.  This problem only happen for the periodic meetings that someone sent me, the periodic meetings that I had Setup, has worked well for me.  I guess something to do with Outlook does not store the time zone?  Not sure?

Let me know if you're still having problems.

  • Cisco TMS 14.5, some user is not currently unavailable

    Hi team,

Our portal user TMS does not, when using https://TMSSERVER/tms/booking. It is giving error that "the TMS user portal is currently unavailable. "Please try again later". Even on the web page administrative MSDS MSDS portal user icon is not available. Please advise what can be the reason.

It does not have the TMSPE, but TMSXE, we installed on the same server TMS.

    BR

You're arbitration to the booking of TMS admin page, or user portal (aka TMS Planner)?  If it's the Planner TMS portal and not the booking page admin, which was deleted in TMS 14.2 and replaced by what is called "Smart Scheduler" in TMSPE 1.0 - see the release notes below.  You will need to install TMSPE to use and requires no license to install or use.

    TMS 14.2 Release Notes

    TMSPE 1.0 Release Notes

Recently upgraded from a previous version of TMS to 14.5, and that's when you noticed the portal icon was missing?  If so, what version you are migrating from?

  • E-mail TMSXE 3.1 templates

I just upgraded from TMSXE 3.0 3.1.  This was due to the incompatibility between the e-mail templates - we wanted people to get the same notifications if they were reserved by TMS or via outlook and the release notes said:

"New templates of notification TMS Cisco Cisco TMSXE uses only Cisco TMS-generated e-mail patterns, insert its own notifications and error messages when necessary. Users will now get the consistent booking confirmations and notifications of events regardless of the booking client they use. »

However, what I found is that TMSXE uses HTML despite the TMS booking model that is configured to use plain text under mail settings, so that the guest is still not in conformity.  Unfortunately, a small subset of users who will receive these notifications cannot view HTML emails, so why we use plain text.

Is this expected behavior, a misconfiguration or a bug?

    Hi Nick,

TMSXE use the e-mail templates available in TMS, and yes of TMS 14.2 I noticed that it uses the html template,

You can customize with respective html template in TMS and changes should occur on the same.

  • Memory not fully usable in the pool allocation?

    Hello

We have a few "issues" with Org CDV is deployed under the pool allocation model. It is not possible to use the RAM allocated by 100% (or any value close to 100%). When you try to start the virtual machines, we receive an error for the allocation of resources of the vCenter (lack of resources...). It turns out when you look at the list of resources that 'Used a reservation' is greater than the sum of reservation of the virtual machines that is already running.

    Example of

Org vDC has 13 GB of RAM allocated with 20% guarantee = list of resources gets 2662 MB of booking

VM1 is configured with 5 GB RAM = Gets a booking of 1024MB

VM2 is configured with 6 GB of RAM = Gets a booking of 1229 MB

Sum of reserves VM = 2253MB

Customers point of view, it seems that there are always 2 GB available RAM, RP views (calculated) there are still the 409 MB available that are 20% of the 2 GB of RAM. If the client sets up a new virtual machine with 2 GB, tries to start, but it does not work because of insufficient resources.

When you look at the list of resources in detail, that it's somehow clearly why it fails. The used reserve is 2521 MB, so only 141 MB are available. It is about 700 MB usable for the customer.

I think it has to do with the charge of the virtual machines, although the General value of resource pools does not explain this difference

This also occurs when you use other percentages of RAM guaranteed.

This behavior is - although somewhat understandable - boring.

To avoid calls to the technical support of customers complain about this issue (in my opinion), there are 2 possibilities

    1. explain the situation/reason for customer and tell them to order more RAM. First of all I don't think that the majority will understand it or worries. And as long as we can't calculate how it takes over is a no go.

    2. Add a buffer to the quantity of RAM. It's what we right now - we add 10%. It works, but customers see that they have more available RAM that they ordered. Integration with billing is too difficult.

Other vCloud Director users are aware of this issue, too? STI is expected to 'fix' that in future releases? As vCloud Director auto setting RP booking limits somwhow.

    Best regards

    Carsten

Is it in vCloud 5.1.2 or 5.1.0/5.1.1? If you're on 5.1.2 and using a single cluster for the allocation (inelastic) pools, you can force elastic mode.

explanation here is for the memory usage:

  • Automatic update of the reference Pages

    Hello

I'm new with FrameMaker10. Recently, the Agency I work with win a contract for the translation of a large number of documents in FM10. As their creator, my job is to ensure that the translated documents are as close as possible to the original.

So my job is fairly easy. However, I have two questions:

    1. in the Pages of reference there are a few elements that recur throughout the book. Likes: Steps, subjects etc. Each chapter contains these elements in their reference Pages. Is it possible to automatically change these texts in a specific language without opening each chapter go to Pages of reference and translate manually. I Chapter 12 and 10 languages. So basically I should manually change 120 pages.

    2. a few Cross_references repeated throughout a chapter (as see Chapter XX YY page on multiple pages). Can I update one and then all cross references that are the same to update automatically? Or do I go to update their onee by one?

    Kind regards

    Sebastian

    Sebastian,

1 create a template (for each translated language) that has the entries you want on the pages of reference. Ensure that the graphic reference frames retain the exact names of same as that used in the original Victorinox FM. Then at the book level, select all the files in the book (that require these reference pages) and the file > import > Formats, select pages of reference only, indicate the appropriate template file (it must be open) and let the FM to do all the work. Should take only a few seconds.

2 again, in specific the language model, update the cross-reference format and import the "cross-reference Formats" of the template in the appropriate in the book files.

You can do both at the same time.

  • Address of the TMS video in booking Email

I noticed that the video for dial in participants address is not added to the e-mail of reservation sent by MSD where all participants are to dial automatically.  Which means that the address of the video appears only in email when someone is configured in TMS to dial in the Conference themselves.  Is there a way to make video addresses to the Conference, always present in the mail, regardless of the method of numbering is still dialing, mixed dial-out/in or simply dial in?  I tried to edit the template myself, but can't seem to understand.  It would be nice to have video addresses always there, just in case someone decides to compose, and if they e-mail, they can without having to contact someone to get information.

    Thank you

A such feature request has already been opened, but it was closed about six months ago. Closing comment was "Please reopen with use cases additional if you still feel it is something as necessary", so I guess there is always an opening if you can demonstrate a strong need for this.

If this is important to you, contact your account manager or another Cisco point of contact and refer to CSCui83431. Try to be very clear about what problems you are experiencing because of this limitation, and maybe we can get it to the order of the day again.

    Kind regards

  • Issue of booking TMS

When we booking the meeting via the TMS,

How can we get the E.164 Alias of conference?

(Except we see that conference mcu status.)

Sometimes need to provide some temporary participants.

    Thank you!

Do not know the 5330, but I suspect THAT TMS will treat it the same way as it does our 4520, so three ways; either add a participant to the Conference as "entering", in which case the E.164 Alias appears under details of connection for this participant, or; go to control Congress centre, find the relevant Conference, place your cursor on the details of mcu under "Remote" (far right) and you will see a window that lists all the details of mcu, including the E.164 Alias for this conference.

Third option would be to make the 'public' Conference and let the participants dial to the auto attendant and then navigate to the Conference here.

  • Protocol default conference when booking through TMS?

trying to set up a conference using TMS to book and add participants.

the booking works very well, I add my end points + the MCU.

Conference starts... but endpoints do not join.

When I look at the MCU - I see that this is a conference H323 - but my environment is exclusively SIP... then do not join endpoints.

tried to create a model of default conference where I could put the default call Protocol - but I do not see where to set this variable.  Given a task in TMS under MCU settings where I could uncheck the box to allow incoming and outgoing H323 composition... still do not get connected participants.

    Preconfigured participant status

    Type Name Status
H.323 Regional center Unable to connect to the remote party
H.323 Florida Regional Unable to connect to the remote party
H.323 Texas regional office Unable to connect to the remote party

someone knows how to do this?

    Thank you
    Paul

HI Paul.  If you can verify something for me on your endpoints in MSDS.  Go to systems Navigator and choose an end point.  Once he arrives, click the System tab.  Then click on change settings.  Scroll down and you will see the MSD booking Options.  Uncheck all the other than SIP and Save.

Do this on the same three endpoints, book again and let us know the result if you can?

    Thank you.

  • Upgrade to Cisco TMS (backup meetings)

    Hello

I'm upgrading from TMS of 14.1 to 14.5. Couple of questions.

    * The admin guide it tells you to back up the SQL database using SQL backup components

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms187048%28v=sql.105%29.aspx.

    This backup the current meetings?

    * Is this the effect of upgrading the current meetings? If Yes is it possible to backup / restore the current meetings supported. There are several re-current meetings of the organization therefore needs to know if these will be impactd

    Thank you

    MOR Ndiaye

tmsng db contains all meetings scheduled, which was planned until you tell people don't not to plan more due to the upgrade. ;)

I run sql server on virtual machines and tms and just take a snapshot of the two just before upgrading. Have had no problems with upgrades for which is scheduled meetings.
