Register of licence multisite on sx20

Hello

Please, can you tell if the multisite on sx20 license must register on codec?

Thanks for your help

According to the data sheet multisite is incorporated into the sx20.

So I guess that you do not have to add this.

  • multisite functionality: SX20 vs C40

    Hi all

I get confused on the difference between the SX20 and C40 in terms of multisite functionality.

Is it true that C40 can manage several participants at the same time as the SX20 with the same infrastructure (MCU)?

And then I'm just the high definition SIP/H.323 MultiSite feature four lanes 1080 p 30 means that you can have a total 4 participants (including you) both with the quality of the 1080 p 30? If it is true then it is possible to have more participants with lower video quality?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards,

    IJE

There is no difference between SX20 and C40 capabilites multisite; maximum number of participants is 1 + 3 (auto + 3 additional sites). This is so regardless of the resolution, non - you will not be able to increase the number of participants by lowering the resolution.

  • SX20 multisite deployment

    Hello

I am looking for a design based on SX20 and telepresence SX10 solutiion provide a Multisite videoconferencing.

The architecture is based on a central site and two remote offices that is linked together via the VPN.

What are the requirements of hardware video telepresence to provide a multi-site / multi participating solution mixed with softphone SX20, SX10 and Cisco Jabber video?

    Cordially kinds.

    Hello

SX10, you deploy CUCM or VCS for call control.

For multisite call, you can use built-in multisite your SX20.

  • SX20 it indicates the maximum number of calls has reached

    Hi all

We have a SX20 with a strange issue it only makes a video call and when you try to call another participant, he says 'Max number of calls has reached '.

The State of SystemUnit, we see the following

    Software

    • Application
      Endpoint
    • MaxAudioCalls
      2
    • MaxVideoCalls
      1
    • Name
      s52010
    • Release date
      2015 01-26
    • ReleaseKey
      true
    • Version
      TC7.3.1.8a4696f

Is possible to change this MaxVideoCalls 1, I try to CLI but I have not found any command.

    Concerning

    Anestis Koukis

All Cisco codecs are hard coded to allow only 1 video call and another 1 only audio call.  Something that cannot be changed.  If you need more than 2 connect video calls to a single endpoint, you will need either buy the licence Multisite which allow you to use the bridge internal of the SX20, or use a conference bridge external such as an MCU or telepresence server.

  • Connect the sx20 with polycom endpoint

    Hi guys

I would like to know if there are special requirements to connect fast sx20 Cisco with other brands of for example, Polycom, Lifesize, Sony telepresence... Customer has 3 locations and now want to replace one with the sx20

I'm not good in technical issues

    TKS a lot

You may need the licence Multisite to the Conference, you will also need a public static IP address depends on who's going to make the call.

other than that just set up the H323 section in the faucet of the configuration and you're ready to go.

  • C40 Multisite call

    Hi all

    I have to configure multi-site/multiway,

    We have VCSC and MCU.

and endpoints such as C40, ex90 and MXP1700.

Ex90 has licence Multisite for C40, but it's not. Able to make P2P calls and then add other EX90 IAM conversation endpoints.

We have a VCSC and MCU.

How can I configure multiway help MCU?  I tried to set up an alias in VCS, Conference factory-22228

and the model [email protected] / * /

Conference factory State is active. 22228 added as base10 multiway on the c40. My prefix for MCU Conference Service is 8.

I need to set up a permanent conference in MCU?

I have to configure Permanent Conference as 22228?

My SIP domain name is vcs.com

    Bobby

    Hi Bobby,.

on the check of EX90 you added the multisite key. TC5 version wouldn't hurt.

    Do not use a version

    Some generic endpoint support information:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/articles/cisco_telepresence_mcu_configure_multiway_kb_166.shtml

You can have multiway or multisite, so if you have already configured the EX90 for multiway

This will be the reason why you can't add another local call, these features are mutually exclusive.

If you delete the multiway address it should work again with multisite.

Cordially conf multisite, check on the

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/VCs/config_guide/Cisco_VCS_Multiway_Deployment_Guide_X7.PDF

In short you must enable autocreateing of conferences with no PIN number prompt and have a prefix MCU

recording, editing of your plant in conference setting, do not overlap with other conferences / MSDS

Not to mention that I recommend the vcs, mcu and endpoint admin guides http://tandberg.com/docs is a good start

  • Sx20 does not seek to make the IP to call with H323, after the first attempt failed with SIP

We use the Sx20 SIP with CUCM registered devices and also register H323 with VCS - c... There are also a few registered with VCS - E external SX20.

    Sx20 > CUCM > VCS - C > VCS-E > Sx20

SX20 on cucm cannot call IP when defaultcall is selected as auto, it is able to call IP through VSC - C only when defaultcall is selected H323 on Sx20.

We cannot change the defaultcall as H323 because we cannot make a call since sx20 on CUCM sx20 on vcs - e

someone has an idea to make the two whole scenerio? Perhaps there is a feature to do this on sx20?

    your response will be appreciated.

Take a look at these examples of configuration - Dial IP addresses registered to CUCM endpoints with VCS/highway. This would work in your environment.

  • Multisite deployment

Hello, I need to implement videoconference between sites using multisite (sx10, sx20, dx80 and jabber clients + spa300 ip phone) and I be6ks to this effect, do I need extra MCU in the MRLG or I can use internally sx20 MCU for this and if I use it, it should participate in the Conference in order to make this conference? any help or useful document for this case?

You can use the internal microcontroller in the SX20, however, it must be in the call that he will host. This means that you can have a maximum of 3 additional sites of the Conference; SX20 + 3 = 4.

If this is insufficient, Yes, you will need to an MCU, that you are deploying a premise, or use a hosted solution of cloud belongs to you. Depends on the intended use and the economy.

  • TP license

    Hi all

We have C60 and Profile55 installed everywhere internally in our campus, there are 10 points for endpoints registered with VCS. None of the endpoints a licence Multisite, multi point calls are performed using MCU.

Since we have only 10 courses license and Management intends to have more endpoints, do we need to buy several license courses?

We have only internal calls within the network.

    TNX

    Bobby

    Hi Bobby,.

Each call point to consume a call single license.

Regarding the multi-point calls (two third-party or not), the concept is simple, each participant connected to the MCU (or endpoint compatible multisite) will consume a call single license. Therefore, if you have 5 endpoints connected to the MCU (assuming that the call was made through VCS), it will consume 5 licenses of the call.

  • Conf material Bridge works not

    Hi all

We have 9.1 CM and added cisco 2901 gateway H323 and configured hardware conf bridge router and it worked a few days ago, our point of arrival and Cisco sx 20 MX 300, registered the CUCM, using 2 SX20 and a MX300, video working fine and sccp Sh connections cmmands calls showed the call details of when endpoints used the Harware conf resrces , but now the problm is when attempting to conference between three enpoints, an audio endpoint only points. and also HS sccp connectiosn command is not shwing none plays, one hears the end points not using equipment for calls vieo cnf is the question

Please sugest me how to solve this

I already checked MRG assigned to endpoints and bridge Conf also enrolled in cucm

Reset it via CUCM, do no sccp/sccp on the router, remove and re-create the profile or review traces CUCM and IPVMS.

  • No point endpoint name when SX20 Multisite conference

    Hello

I have install a lab which consist of 2 SX20 and 1 EX60. Using SIP and any call control, trying to conference with capacity multisite SX20 (just call using the [email protected] / * /). But, I noticed there is no display name below each participant in the video. Is this a normal behavior? I configured the name displayed on each endpoint.

Yes, this is a normal behavior.  The names of the participants will be displayed when you use a microcontroller, and if it is configured to do this.

  • SX20 Quick Set registered but can not make calls

We have several new SX20 units, two of which I installed and registered via SIP with UCM (v8.6.2, required a pack of devices).  I can make a call to the SX20 since a regular IP phone (7961 - SCCP), answering the call to unity of telepresence and continue a conversation only one voice.  However what composition of the SX20 the other SX20 or any other IP phone it briefly displays "call for binding", then it goes immediately to the "call was disconnected.  I tried just the DN 4-digit, as well as the SIP URI of numbering.  Here is a part of the log output of command line for the sx20 indicating the call SIP is rejected with a 403 forbidden message.

It is worth noting that before these devices, we have had no recorded via SIP, SCCP phone only.  At this point, these devices don't need to dial outside of our network.  I had a case open for two weeks and keep TAC is passed between the teams of telepresence and the AAU.  I told them we have never had a SIP device registered with our University Complutense of MADRID before and if there is nothing else to be configured, the answer was nothing more for internal calls only.  I'm trying to get escalated now, but thought I'd give forums a go.  Any help is greatly appreciated, and I apologize if this question is that something is ridiculously simple.

A look at the logs on your case - looks like there is no number to call in the header AMATURES or Contact, so CUCM rejects the appeal and sends the 403 forbidden.  Note the field 'From' below - should be sip:[email protected] / * /.  What you configured as your SIP URI in your SX20?  Not that familiar with the SX20, but on my EX90 in the laboratory, there is a field of a SIP URI for that I had to enter the DN @ address >.  Anything on CUCM that would block the DN to be passed to the SX call to IP phone?

  • SX20, MX300 and Cisco C90 multisite functionality

    Hi all

Someone has information on how to Install Licenses Multisite L-C90-MS, LIC-MX300-MS and MS-SX20-LIC?  These is installed directly in the codec? what procedure?

    Thank you very much!!

    Mario,

This is the option buttons that you add directly to the codec. Just go to maintenance > upgrade and paste the option key pressed in the key field of the option. This usually requires a restart when completed.

  • SX20 cannot register to CUCM 8.6.2

    Hi team

Due to the list of devices in CUCM, I know that we can install the latest device Pack to solve this problem. But I have a question is that can use us third-party SIP (standard or advanced) to save the SX20?

I think it will be ok, but it didn't.

    Hi Jason,

It is possible to register as a 3rd party device.

  • SX20 multisite - lose my mind?

    I don't know if I will have a memory loss or what, but doesn't not the SX20 w/multisite supports a total of 4 (1 + 3) video sites and audio-only 1 site?

CLI I confirmed that my SX20 can do a max of 3 calls (SystemUnit State MaxNumberOfActiveCalls), while the C40 and EX90 can do 4. It also appears that the MX300G2 means a maximum of 3 calls so.

I swear all MX/SX/C-Series have been able to compose of 3 video sites and audio 1: the site with multisite enabled, with the exception of the SX10.

I've done a few tests for you here with one of my SX20s (tested with TC7.2.1 and CE8.0.0). Composition performed from the web interface.

You can only place three video calls - you can not add a 4th participant (wither audio or video - it just does not).

If you perform the audio call as the first call, you can add then only two video additional participants.

The value 'MaxNumberOfActiveCalls' on the SX20 is 3.  Even if the data sheet indicates that you should be able to make 4 phone calls to 576 p 30, I was unable to in my tests.
