  I am not aware or all the apps that provide this functionality for Windows RT.  I understand that you have found an app, but it does not support Windows RT. You cannot send a request through the Web site. I've tried it myself and was unable to click on the star.

  Hello I just got my new laptop A100 custom. I works really well. However, I want to put on a new operating system. So, I want to collect the driver for infrared allowing my remote control to control the functions that it does now. Such as music playback volume and make presentations by far.
  This remote control requires a driver or windows will pick up the functions once I have installed infrared driver?

  The remote model number is RC102-841.
  I spoke with Toshiba support and they can't tell me anything. Also my manual has no info on the remote control, because my computer has been customized and so the manual comes with it did not cover the info on the remote control.

  First of all, you can download all the manuals of the user on all laptops from Toshiba on the Toshiba site:

  I want to change my OS from VISTA (32 bit) to Windows 7 (64-bit), I'm on downloading all the drivers needed for the proper functioning of my laptop in the future.

  When the choice of my laptop (Qosmio F50 - 10 M) and operating system (Windows7 - 64 bit) there is no more infrared driver (for my remote).

  Do I need to have a driver for the infrared interface (which I have and is downloadable with VISTA32)?

  I n t have remote to test my Qosmio F50 so that I can t but if there is no driver for Windows 7, I guess that the 64 bit Vista driver should work fine on Windows 7. In addition most Vista drivers also work on Windows 7 so it s worth a try! :)

  But from my own experience, I can say that Windows 7 64 bit works like a charm on Qosmio F50 and in my opinion better than Vista. I used all the drivers from the official website of Toshiba and don t have problems.
  Everything works great! :)

• Windows 8 on HP TouchSmart IQ826t (including REMOTE CONTROL) successfully installed

  Here's the background.  I have a TouchSmart IQ826t running Windows 7.  I have installed on it, (same partition), Windows 8 RTM using a DVD.  The installation went without a hitch and Windows 8 is installed.  I've had two disappointments: 1) the possibilities of contact not only that it was very difficult to slide on the screen side and the only way to scroll from left to right was to use the scrollbar at the bottom of the screen.  (2) turner of the TV does not work, but I am hopeful that it will be the 26 Oct when Microsoft releases the Media Pack.

  Thus, the question that I continued to work on was the touch feature.  I came across an update from HP that I missed for Windows 7 called "NextWindow 1950 Touch Screen Driver Update", which was to improve the answer touch near the edges of the screen and resolved a problem of sensibility in the upper right of the screen.  I downloaded it, (sp49787.exe) and tried to install it.  He would not have installed.  However, the part "NextWindow 1950" of the title was a clue.  I have been looking on the NextWindow site last week and I remember seeing a driver Windows 8 touch screen on their Web site: http://www.nextwindow.com/nextwindow_support/Windows_8_Touch_Screen_Driver.html

I found a service that has been extinguished called, 'Human Interface Device Access. I changed the properties of it from manual to automatic. Rebooted and WOW, the remote will now control the Volume, Mute and other functions, he was ignorant. NOTE: Before I tried this service I also found a service called "HP Software Framework.   If you had a problem with the VGA chip then the whole motherboard has been replaced.
  Maybe it has something to do with your problem.

  Anyway, as far as I know you don t need any special drivers if you want to use the MCE Remote control. For the use of the remote control with Qosmio player you need to connect a USB infrared.

  I have a remote that I would use on this laptop but the deosn distance seem to be seen by the IR from the IR port. Don't know how the built in IR port work... you have to turn it on to see the remote control?

  IR remotes use another channel than IR networking which is kind of a lost thing of days past. We used to make transfers of IR of PDA files for computers laptops back in the day, but it was something different than IR remotes. Look in your control panel and see if you have an icon of wireless... This is where you configure infrared file transfers. Infrared has been 'Wireless' before there was wifi.

  With this configuration, I use a HP Remote WMC.  The model No. inside the cover of the remote control battery is TSGH-IR01.  The issue I'm having with the remote control that is stationary and move forward and "back" button do nothing when you press.  The light at the top of the remote control flashes when you press those buttons, so I don't think that the buttons themselves infrared are failing.  All the other buttons on the remote work fine.

  I wonder if it is a problem of programming/software and if so, what should I do to solve this problem.   It's annoying to not be able to stop a recorded program is playing when you press the stop button, but having to use a mouse to do it instead.   Any help that can be given will be very appreciated!

  For anyone having this problem, I discovered the cause after reading a post on the forums of thegreenbutton.tv.  An application in Chrome or any browser Chrome (in my case, the Slimjet browser) is the culprit.

  For me, it was the Plex app.  He was diverting the judgment and move forward and back buttons on my remote HP WMC.  As soon as I disabled the application of Plex, the buttons started working.   Never would have guessed that this was the problem!  Hope this helps someone else who might have the same problem.  Ah, tech.  Isn't beautiful?
