S10 - 2 won't boot, black screen
Don't know not what has happened, one day it worked fine the next day, I pushed the power button and I could hear the hard drive turn into action, all of the lights (power, battery and wireless communication) all lights up and the hard disk light flashes as usual, then I hear the hard drive to stop. While all this takes place (about 5 seconds), the screen stays black and never comes.
I can't use the F keys to try to get to the bios Setup and I see no windows start because the screen is black.
Can someone tell me what to do?

C355 all-in-One won't boot black screen
Hi all
I have a C355 all-in-one who had a serious problem lately. When I try to turn on the pc with the power button, it makes the whirring sound, but the screen is black and it won't turn. The power button stays on and sounds like it starts up but the screen remains black and does not turn.
I tried unplugging all USBs thinking it could be the conflict with the other drivers, but it does not work. It usually takes 20 + attempts after pressing the power button on and off with no screen until the PC actually turns. It is extremely frustrating, sometimes over an hour before I can get the computer on! I made sure that all drivers are up-to-date, and 8.1 windows is fully updated. I don't know what else to do to try to solve this problem. This PC is not under warranty but its still relatively new. I wouldn't have to spend money on another computer for this reason. If anyone has had this problem or have any suggestions to try to fix? Thank you.
I ended up taking the all-in-one to a repairman. The cpu has been damaged from overheating. They said it was a common problem with all-in-one which have an amd cpu and warned me to stick in the future equipped with Intel processors. The cost of the repair was too expensive for my cheap all-in-one so I got the hard drive recovered and let it go!

Replaced the G550 motherboard. Won't boot black screen and high.
I replaced the motherboard in my Lenovo G550 laptop cause the old one was fried. It's the exact same model of the motherboard with a new processor. I carefully put it back together and double checked all the connections. Now when I turn it on, it made all the right noises, I hear the fan and hard drive starts, but after 2-3 seconds, the HARD drive and fan go quiet and the hard drive light turns off. The laptop stays just slowed after this point and the screen is completely black, no display at all. Any help much appreciated.
Thank you
THE FIXED! .. After leaving the laptop running for about five minutes, I noticed that the right part of the palmrest botton was really hot. That's where the USB slot Council separte connected to the motherboard. So I opened the laptop again once disconnected the cable flex of the USB card, turned on again and it starts without any problem. Everything works perfect now just need to find a replacement USB Board now on this side. Can't believe that the USB Board was causing the problem.

Re: NB200-110 can not boot - black screen
Hi all!
I have a toshiba nb200-110 semi-bricked: can I power on it, I can surf via the bios, I can pass any setting but I can't start!
Indeed, after the bios, I have black screen.
If I try to go to the boot menu (f12) I always black screen! What can I do? BIOS version is 1.20.I have created a disk of crysis with the latest bios (2.10), it seems flahs porperly but upon restarting, I always BIOS 1.20
sSorry for my bad English
PS I KNOW THAT THEY HAVE RESET THE BIOS WITH THE JUMPER (BECAUSE THEY FORGOT THE PASSWORD).
BEFORE THIS OPERATION, THE NETBOOK WORKED WITHOUT PROBLEMS!Hello
You speak for themselves
What these say that the laptop was already send to ASP?Have you checked if the video output was not set to external monitor?
Please check if the FN + F5 keys that toggle between internal and external monitor. If it does not then I would recommend contacting ASP guy that removed the BIOS password I say everything was ok before the BIOS password has been deleted maybe they changed something in the BIOS or BIOS itself
I wish you good luck

Satellite L775D-10W - stucks Boot: black screen + mouse cursor visible
Dear supporters,
Model: Satellite L775D-10W
Operating system: Win7 64 bit
Problem: The procedure start STRP stuck after "Windows load data" and a progress undertitled with 'Microsoft Corporation' bar, resulting a black screen and a mobile mouse cursor. The same problem occurs every time...
pressing F8 > options (safe vaissaille mode) > start gets stuck
Boot from DVD of Win7 64 bit > startup gets stuck
Boot from DVD of Win7 64 bit > options > start gets stuckIt is likely that the graphics card is broken or that the driver no longer appropriate?
Thank you for your time in advance!
Greetings
Carpet
Graphics card problem may be possible but in this case the POST (power on self test) would not be passed, and in my opinion, it is not possible to access the BIOS.
However, it's just a theory
Try to start Notepad using some Live CD like LinuxI would also recommend to start the advanced boot menu. (by pressing F8) and choose repair my computer option.
Then select Toshiba HDD recoveryThis option would be to recover the laptop back to factory settings.

I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv2000, it came with windows vista, so I don't have a boot disk. When I try to start it, it will say "windows loading files...". "with a bar, once the bar is loaded it will say microsoft Corp. (with the copyright symbol) and another bar with a bar made up of three small bars of loading through it, once that is done, it will show a black screen. I have installed recent updates and I can't access the restore mode or security system.
Hello
The possible fix is the same that you can not boot the system currently.
You need to make a computer repair/restore on another disc, borrow a friends Windows disk.
or buy one from the manufacturer of the system. See the methods in BOLD above which also shows how
a repair/recovery disk which is bootable. It may not be repairable by a user and the help of a real store of the computer (no leeks and peaks at)
a BestBuy or other BigBox stores) or Support from HP is required.Rob Brown - MS MVP - Windows Desktop Experience: Bike - Mark Twain said it right.

Windows Vista won't load - black screen each laptop time starts
I have a Dell Insipron 1525, which does not load Windows Vista.
I can't go past the Recovery Manager screen every time you start, and although I tried all the options available, it does not open in safe mode or normally.
I tried the system restore (even if it says that it cannot find valid 'points'), as well as the repair of the system, and I have also run the Diagnostics, who said there is no error (although I could not see the final report). All paths lead ultimately to the black screen and although I can see and move the cursor, it is that I can get. Any ideas please?
Thank you very much!

Pavilion g6 can not boot black screen of death...
Hello
I have a g6 2240-CA Pavilion which will not start upward. I get the 'HP' symbol and a message about 'Prepare auto repair'... then it goes in the black screen of death.
It runs Windows 8 (pretty sure its 64-bit version), System ID 1849 and ST9500325AS ATA Hard Drive.
I ran to the verification of diagnosis for the (vast) memory and hard drive. The memory test the HD failed. Specifically the "HD SMART Check" success and failure "HD short DST Check" with the following details:
Failure ID: Q4M8GW-6HV71A-MFPWW1-60WV03
Product ID: C2N57UA #ABL
Let me know if you need more info... Alan
Hello
According to test results, you posted, and it does not point to hard drive failure. Is your older machine for less than 12 months?
In this cases aged under 12 months contact HP in your local area and organize a repair service.

Satellite C650 won't turn on / boot (black screen only)
I am having trouble with my year old Satellite C650. In fact, when I go to turn it on it just won't. The power led on the front of the laptop turns on and the fan starts whirring (only to stop a few seconds later), but there is no change to the screen. I tried to take out the battery, restart, connect, disconnect - basically everything I can think of, but nothing made a difference.
Can anyone think a possible solution? I really hope this isn't a hardware problem, but I have a horrible feeling that it looks like this...
Thank you!

I'm scared of m its hardware problem.
My advice would not apply to a Toshiba service provider in your country that would check the parts.
Your laptop doesn't seem to be old so maybe the warranty is still valid and the fix could be done free of charge. -
CQ61-312SA: Presario CQ61 does not boot, black screen.
In setting in motion:
- LEDs LED power supply front and button cases NIP
- Wireless LED lights
- Above the touchpad LED lights continuously
- LEDS near caps lock and above paved digital flash streaming
- No sign of drive activity, no fan noise, the screen remains black.
Looks like it is not booting in the BIOS.
However, I tried:
- Remove the battery, button to power down etc.
- Remove each RAM module and Exchange.
- Remove the HARD drive
NB symptoms are the same when the power supply plugged in or not.
I believe that the flashing LEDs are important but I the only references I can find are telling me to contact the HP Support.
Can anyone tell if this is likely to be a failure of a repairable component.
I was hoping to identify the component that prevents the laptop to even start the BIOS but I guess I'll have to just it's bin.

Tecra S1 - does not boot, black screen
When I turn on my Tecra S1, fan starts, dvd starts up but screen stays black and hd light does not illuminate. If I press F8 or F12, or sometimes even if I do not support what it is, I've heard three beeps. I disconnected the battery, HD and RAM, but it seems that the same thing.
What can I do to detect and debug the problem? Thank you
Hey Buddy,
I found and interesting article on the Web from Toshiba site:
[What steps must be followed if your Toshiba laptop does not start? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=21]Overall this beep code means that a hardware malfunction has been detected. An ASP in your country can tell you what the problem is.

Satellite C850D-104 - no boot HDD, no WEIRD boot, black screen
Hi all
I had a laptop Toshiba C850D-140, purchased approximately one to two years. I decided to reinstall Windows 7 and I started the whole process. Everything was good, the "expanding windows files" ball, completed successfully, then the laptop restarts automatically. Then the problems started.
No Toshiba logo came, only a line of underscore in the top left corner, not flashing, wearing just here. After about two seconds, the system rebooted and underscore appeared. This process in a loop forever. I can enter the BIOS menu, I can get into boot menu list, but the problem is that the laptop cannot boot from any device. HARD, no USB or DVD disc. The DVD contains Windows 7 genuine, working and tested on other PC but the laptop refuses to boot from it.
Any ideas?
Consistent thanksTo my knowledge, underscore flashing means a HARD drive problem.
But you said, underscore does not blink but his lie.In some cases, this could mean the RAM to malfunction. However, this is just an idea.
Question: do you have set the default BIOS? In the BIOS, press F9 to get the default settings and press F10 to save.
HARD drive appears on the first page of BIOS (HDD name, size,)?
If this isn't the case, it means that the HARD drive is faulty. -
Pavilion dv6 won't start - black screen
Hello
It is always interesting to try first following a Hard Reset.
Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds. Plug the power adapter (leave the battery for now) and see if the laptop boots.
If the above doesn't help, can you post back with the complete model number and your notebook dv6 series Nr - see here for a guide to the location of such information.
Kind regards

Operating system not boot, black screen!
HP MINI 110-3700 laptop
Windows 7 Starter Edition OS
After you have installed a firewall application, the CPU went to 100% usage and before I could uninstall it, the system froze. When I rebooted, the power came (I could hear the fan) but nothing came. He finally started with F9, but quickly froze. Now
He even of powers on with the fan turns but Starter not at all with any F key.
I tried to create a bootable usb drive, but I can't access the bios. Any suggestions?
PROBLEM SOLVED!
Thanks to another suggestion, I disconnected all energy sources (and removed the battery), then I turned on the laptop for 30 seconds. Then, I connected the power adapter and turned on the laptop. It worked, however, the system was still frozen.
I then went safe mode and did a system restored. Kudos to the person who helped me!
