Satellite L20 - Orange LED flashes when I press the power button

For 6 - 7 times and nothing happens after that, the battery is completely dead and the adapter works fine

I measured the voltage on the map that powers the battery and found 3.33v on 2 of them, the third is 0 v and the last of them starts by 0 v and goes up to 10v and more

Hello

Strange, but it might be a hardware malfunction.
But first, you should try to remove the battery and the AC adapter. Attendre wait up to an hour, then reconnect the two devices.

If it doesn t work it could be a motherboard problem or something else. I recommend you contact a technician for laptop.

  • Why Satellite Pro A300 does not start when you press the power button?

Suddenly my new Satellite Pro A300 does not start correctly when you press the power button. The situation is the following: when I press the power button is displayed the opening of Toshiba (Leading Innovation) and the disappers image quickly. Then there is a black screen for about 30 seconds. There is a rectangular frame with the text Microsoft Corporation under. And nothing happens however long wait.

In order to get with the trial starting I then shut down the computer by pressing the power button until the computer turns off. ("The hard way to close")
Now, I press the power button shortly to turn on the computer. Then, the computer starts normally with the photo to open Toshiba and after a few seconds, I wonder to open the computer in safe mode or in normal mode. I now choose to open in normal mode and the computer opens normally and is ready to work.

What should I do to get a normal departure procedure?

When the laptop starts normally (after choosing normal mode) stop your laptop properly using START > shut down option. Next launch should be normal.

When the OS is moving towards the low irregularly will always ask you how to start this new (secure or normal mode).

I love this laptop and want to run again as this is the best I have ever owned.

    Help, please

    Andrew

Can you give us more information on this vulnerability?
You see something on the screen after pressing the power button?
You can access the BIOS by pressing the F2 key immediately after switching on the device?

Despite this whole issue, I think that if nothing is visible on the screen it could be a serious problem with one of the following: RAM modules, motherboard, CPU/GPU.

From my experience the RAM memory modules are not very expensive (2nd hand might be good enough) and the replacement isn t very delicate in the case where the faulty memory causes this problem, the laptop could be set for a little money.

But in case of problems of motherboard, laptop repair procedure could be very expensive.

  • Two Macbook Pro, both does not start up, when I press the power button, I hear two disc bit Caryl, I see little light on the front on the displasy release button, black screen, no edge

It was weird because I've NEVER had two computers have the same problem before. They are the model 2008 2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 6 g of RAM, models of 128 GB of hard drive, the two Yosemite running, both had new hard drives, cables, batteries and RAM installed OWC (Apple approved reseller) and I use Macs for at least 20 years. In about a week, one just blacked out while sitting on my desk doing nothing, the other does the same on a week later. When I press the power button, I hear the drive hard hum twice, then all I get is the little light on the screen release button, that's all. Black screen. fails, nothing. I can press the power button and it will fit off the coast. Is it possible that some of them have infected somehow, or possibly send me the malware that has infected my system? I would not normally only, but for all of them to go down to one right after the other with the same problem just made me think, it must be the same cause, but what?  I had been in a war of fire recently with very ugly people, and I've never seen two Macs have the same exact problem in a row like that right.

I took readers on the Macbook Pro, put them on sleds and threw them in my PowerMac, and both seemed fine, no problem, started well upward, ran utility disk on them, no problem, so I started to the checklist. Reset the PRAM. Nothing. SHIFT key at startup. Nothing. D at the start. Nothing. V order at startup. nothing. I wouldn't mind even their evisceration and making a portable useful with the parts of the two, but until I find out what the problem is, what can I do?

If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it, I've supported every button I can think at the start, tried an inch USB key, boot and disk, this is the same Caryl bit both of the car, no chime, black screen, that's all.

    Thanks for your help.

no chime, black screen, that's all.

I don't think they are infected.

The startup chime indicates that the Mac has made the initial diagnostic tests and there is no hardware problems or fundamental software.

No edge in your case is a problem.  I think it's the luck of the draw to have 2 failures.

    Hi Mayur,

    Welcome to the community,

Sound signal can be used as a diagnostic indicator. The computer may emit a series of beeps at startup if errors or problems. This series of beeps identifies a problem and is called "beep code".

See the table below which shows the beep codes and the possible problem:

    Overview of beep Code
    Beeps Description Possible cause
1 ROM BIOS checksum failure The map system, covers BIOS corruption or errors ROM failure
2 No memory (RAM) detected Memory or memory slot failure

  • Satellite A500 - battery light flashes when connected to the power supply

    Win 7 Satellite A500 PSAM3A-03P00E.

Battery light flashes when connected to the power supply (intermittent fault), when I disconnect the sector and reconnect the flashing stops and battery (high capacity) continues to receive.

Also, when battery light blinks the keyboard backlight stays on when it should white and if the backlight is turned off and the battery light starts to blink the keyboard backlight turns on, all other functions seem to work well.

Charges of battery and the wedges load properly (when the battery flashes).

    Hello

Have you noticed this problem since the first day of purchase?
Theoretically, it could be possible that your battery begins to malfunction
On the other hand, an electrical problem could also be possible

    However, try this:
Remove the battery and the AC adapter. Then press and hold button power 30 sec long.
Then insert the battery and plug AC adapter still does that help?

By the way: this is the BIOS updated? If this isn't the case, perform an update.

    * Connect the adapter to the computer.

    * Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter and then connect only the AC adapter. Make sure that the power adapter is one that comes with the computer. Try to turn on the computer again, without the battery in the computer.

    * Plug the power adapter into a different plug.

    * Press and hold the power switch for 10 seconds (to make sure that the computer is turned off). Wait five seconds, and then tap on and again, hold the switch for three seconds (turn on the computer).

    * Remove any additional memory, beyond the computer built in memory, or the first module of memory in the computer. If the computer starts correctly, reinsert the memory and turn the computer back on. If it does not start successfully, memory can be inserted incorrectly, it may be defective or the support of memory may be damaged. "Try to replace the module memory."

  • PowerEdge T410 won't do anything when you press the power button / stop.

My work has recently retired this t410 server. It worked without any problems when he was arrested. I had to remove and destroy the hard drives from the system. After that, I was allowed to bring home for my own use. I installed a new sata drive and plugged into the power supply and a free sata port on the motherboard. I get nothing when I tried to boot the system. This version has the unique power. Power light only lights up when you press the test button. System fan is going at full speed, but stops when you release the power button. Also on the control panel lights 1,2 and 4 and HDD power on and turn until the test button is released. There is a single green light lit on the motherboard, while it is plugged. Apart from that, I have no response when you press the main power button. Can anyone tell how to try to get it up and running again.

    -Who-

I have not received the answers more so I think that this issue is ignored. So I'll let everyone know what finally happened. I solved my problem after a lot of electrical testing. I found a diagram of the arrangement of the power dell power supply pins and I made myself the best possible meter test. After several rounds of tests, I found several pins that did not have the right voltage. I bought a new power supply. I installed and replace everything. I plugged into the system and it auto fed on itself. I loaded from an OS and it works perfectly.

    2. WITH THE BATTERY ONLY

WHEN I PRESS POWER BUTTON NOTHING HAPPNS ONLY INDICATOR LIGHT NEAR THE POWER SUPPLY BECOMES WHITE AND STAYS ON UNTIL I HAVE TO REMOVE THE BATTERY.

    Hello @HPDV6-6115TX ,.

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you laptop is not turning on.

If the laptop has no power, other than the AC adapter connection indication, there is little that can be done.

The adapter ring is HQ shows a white LED would suggest the adapter supply fine and offer pay-per-view mother, or at least the internal power connector. This means it is a flaw in the motherboard of the laptop and most likely requires a repair.

You will want to check that the RAM and HARD drive are in place and connected, as well as internal power cable. You can do it by following your product Maintenance & Service Guide.

    HARD drive: Page 62.

    RAM: Page 66.

    Power cable: Page 83.

If it does not, you will need to contact the HP support by phone for service options. You can contact HP Technical Support at 1-800-474-6836 in North America. For all other regions click here.

    Hope this helps!

  • My sansa e260 suddenly is energized when I press the power button. Help please

Hey, today my 260 just stop feeding up out of nowhere. I don't have the latest version of the software package, and when I tried the update, he couldn't. It lights up when I connect the usb cable, but not when its disconnected. Before this he repeated bad tracks on all my songs even if their were not all and kept cutting. Can anyone help me please with this problem?

It seems that the battery is detached. Open the back (4 small screws, don't lose them), take out the battery, put in comfortably recharges. If it does not reload it, he could be dead - they have no last forever - and you can get a new one on Amazon or eBay.

For bad tracks, ChkDsk. Might as well do it first, since you can connect.
