Satellite L300-29R - monitor flickers on and off voltage at startup - Vista

Salvation of Brussels,

After turning the computer when the desktop icons are already visible and the background photo as well, the screen flashes black for about 1 second each time.

Then it stabilizes and things "seem" normal work.
But then again, I'm no expert. There may be other problems.

I recently bought a new camera and it seems to me that the problem started after downloading the software.
In the meantime I deleted it again but this blinking at startup of remains.
What should I do? Please if no solution, explain to me as to a 'beginner '.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance!
IRIS

Hello

You mean that this problem may be related to software installed?
Hmm. that would be very strange
However, you can try to update the display driver

The driver can be found on the European driver Toshiba page
Take a look here, choose your phone model and update the driver

  • Satellite L300. Observation on the issues cover the recovery of Vista on a new HARD drive

    Hi all

I need to reinstall Vista (on a Toshiba Satellite L300) runs the "recovery disc" created by Toshiba disc creator before recovery and using a disc of "nine" (Toshiba MK2035GSS, 200 GB).

    Issues related to the:

    (1) I have to partition and format the new drive before starting with recovery disks / DVD (s).
or which will be done through the recovery process?

    (2) what is the reason for which the current disc is divided into two size equal C: and D: partitions, while
D: partition seems to be reservered for the system, but only 5 GB are used?

    (3) what is the purpose of the partition 3. ("inactive") with about 1.5 GB of space?

Thanks in advance for your support and help!

    > 1) I have to partition and format the new drive before starting with recovery disks / DVD (s).
or which will be done through the recovery process?
No, because the HARD disk should be formatted during the recovery process.

(> 2) what is the reason for which the current disc is divided into two size equal partitions C: and D:, while
D: partition seems to be reservered for the system, but only 5 GB are used?
On the D partition, you can find the files and folder from HARD drive recovery. HARD disk recovery allows you to recover the laptop HARD drive and in this case, you don't need the recovery disc

(> 3) what is the purpose of the partition 3. ("inactive") with about 1.5 GB of space?
It is a Vista partition and is necessary for the backup files. Vista is able to repair the operating system if something bad is going to do this the necessary files that are stored on this partition.

  • Satellite L300 - problem with the battery and with the FN keys

    Hello

Please help me with the following 2 problems:

    1. I bought 10 L300, 2009 with Vista, and then I switch to Win7. After that the FN do not work. I can use a couple of access keys, but anyway, they do not appear on top of the scr4een as if it was on Vista. You have the solution to work again?

    2. after the upgrade to Win7, my battery is almost dead. I use 230V taken to work on my laptop. I used my laptop properly and it is really surprised that the battery had a life so short. You have a similar experience or you may have a solution to work again?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    (1) install VAP (value added package) and Flash memory card Support utility.
For example, you can find the driver area L500 software.

    (2) you can try to define some battery saving options in the power management Windows 7 in order to reduce the working time of battery.
I switched to Windows 7 and the battery still works fine.

  • Re: Satellite L300-1 has 8 - SATA and driver sound

I had to go SATA AHCI on compatible, because I wanted to install Windows XP on my L300. Is it possible to install the SATA driver under existing operating system?

And one more problem. I can't install the audio driver.
Installation goes ok, but after restart there is has no audio or even sound card installed in the Device Manager and it is still by the PCI device.

    Need help ASAP

Sorry, there is no way to install the SATA driver on an existing operating system.

    You have two options.
    1. you reinstall Windows XP SATA driver. First go into the BIOS and choose AHCI SATA mode. Then, you can start the installation, but after booting from the CD, press F6 to load the SATA driver.
    2. you made on the operating system. This isn't a problem, but you have lost performance a bit.

It's on you ;) you do

Have you downloaded the audio driver directly from the Web from Toshiba site? Select this check box.
And have you used Windows XP with SP2?

  • Satellite L300-1BV case in bulk and seems like loose hard drive

Hi, not a huge problem but just thought I'd get extracted. Case seems to be its loose where I left my arm on the black band near the mouse and power buttons, like when I rest my arm when you type it clicks and squeaks on the right side and getting on my nerves. (Don't ask).

Another thing, the hard drive seems to loose, since that is also clicking on. I tried to tighten all the screws available as I can see, but nothing has changed or helped... everyone knows a similar problem? Don't want to send it so that can be helped because it will take a while to come back and I need to use the laptop every day for work.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello.

It seems you have weird problems with your laptop. I think you did some updates to the laptop and now you have these problems. The Panel of the black band, if you see a space between the mouse control panel and the microphone at the entrance, you have left a black thing (square shaped) somewhere before you put everything together. This black thing is used to cover the wireless switch. Also, if it could not solve the problem, it is normal if the gap occurs after a bad upgrade.

Yoru driver drive HARD, there are several reasons for this. * I propose to restore the laptop to the service to check * I hope you didn't break the security bulletin or they will charge you a bit.

    Kind regards.

  • Satellite L300 PSLB8A - cannot locate the WLan adapter after downgrading from Vista to XP

    Model - L300 Satellite PSLB8A-01F004
    Australian model
    Place of residence current UK

Happy new year to you all. I have a problem with the adapter wireless following a downgrade from Vista to XP Pro home. Device Manager indicates that a network adapter, which is the LAN and it does not work properly.

I have two points with one exception - Ethernet controller and Modem on Bus High Definition Audio device.

I find all the major engines of the Toshiba Australia but he lists three (I think) site possible WLAN - Atheros, RealTek, and one of the other manufacturers.

I tried all three without success but am willing to acknowledge that I can have a mistake, perhaps by installing all three drivers at the same time for example.

The indicator on the front of the box portable wireless lights on or off with the hard switch setting.

I am also unable to locate the display of all available wireless netrworks, this can be a symptom of the driver is not installed.

I tried to locate the wireless card, but it doesn't seem to be accessible through the background panels, including the Panel of RAM module.

    Any ideas please?

    > I have two Articles with one exception - Ethernet controller and Modem on Bus High Definition Audio device.

The Ethernet controller is the WLAN adapter.
I guess that the WLan driver is missing and so the wireless network card does not appear under network adapters

Please check this Toshiba How TO:

This will help you find the right WLan driver for this chip.

  • Satellite L50-A-170 - no boot and black screen on startup

    Hello

I hope you can help me.

    I have a Satellite L50-A-170 for about a month.
Today, after 3 days of inactivity, I tried to turn it back on but you can hear noise from the optical drive and the noise of the fan, but the screen remains black.

It seems to me that you do not even the backlight of the display. I tried to disconnect the battery for a few minutes, but it is integrated.

You have an idea on how I can proceed?
I need the PC and data!

    Thank you in advance!

    > It seems to me that you do not even the backlight of the display. I tried to disconnect the battery for a few minutes, but it is integrated.

For this reason, there is a * reset switch * place the bottom of the unit.

  • Satellite L300 - clean install Win 7 SP1 64 bit

I just did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit, replacing the normal 32-bit Vista that comes with the laptop.

The facility has been good, but I have a few questions about the following:

I adjusted the automatic run settings to ask every time for all selections. The problem is that when the game DVD in WMP or VLC disk reads but is noisy. It is very good for the s CD without excessive noise. The acoustic silencer on the download site is for 32-bit, but can be used in this laptop. In the original Vista there is no noise at all, so I wonder if there is other parameters that can sort this point, otherwise I'll have to keep changing things manually with the acoustic silencer.

I noticed a very low noise coming from laptop (like a lighter version of a business when you're boarding Jet it). I ran a video memory Stress Test CE and he showed a few errors. If I reduce the brightness of the screen there is less noise so I wonder if it's something to do with the Panel of inverter of screen I'm sure that's not the HARD drive or the cooling fan, but it could be something on the motherboard.

On the backup plan Acronis will slow down my system or are Win 7 OK backup options?

Thanks a lot for all the possible solutions to these problems.

A long time ago I've installed Win7 32 bit on friends Satellite L300. It worked perfectly. Much better than original Vista.
    > I still don't know what is the best test for the screen.
I put t understand what kind of test do you mean. I hope that you have installed the right display driver and LCD works perfectly with a native resolution.

Win7 recovery with Acronis image creation is, generally, the right decision. With this disc, you can install Win7 again and again very rapidly and you should not install every single driver separately.

If you want to keep this laptop any longer I think it is worth to buy it. One last thing: you will buy it once and you can use it in the future too if you decide to buy the new laptop or PC.

  • Satellite L300 - recovery ends with the error message: 10-FA1Z - 045D

My Satellite L300 is 3 months old and one a few days ago I resorted to the use of the 4 recovery DVDs.
After several hours, I get an error: 10-FA1Z - 045D message. I made 3 attempts and get the same message every time.

    Any suggestions?

My only suggestion for that is you should contact the closest service provider authorized as soon as possible. I am not sure what can be the problem, but it must be HARD drive issue or a problem with the recovery image.

In both cases, you will get free and if necessary service service can order new DVD of facilities of recovery for you.
Do not wait too long and vase your time with her. Call the nearest service tomorrow and talk to them.

  • Re: Satellite L300 - initialization of the webcam

    Hi all!

I have installed Windows 7 on my Satellite L300 and the only problem I have, is that the built-in webcam does not work.
I downloaded the software from Windows 7, but each time after reboot it tells me, that there is a problem with the initialization of the webcam.

Any ideas to solve the problem?

    Thank you

    Hey,.

What exactly downloaded Windows 7 software? You need the Camera Assistant Software to get the job of the webcam. You can download it on the Toshiba page.
    Did you do that?

And what Satellite L300 you use exactly?
You did an upgrade from Vista?
