Satellite L350-203 to TV connection problems

Help, please. I tried several ways to get my laptop connected to my TV Panasonic older, and simply not happen.

I first tried a cable SCART VGA. I changed all settings as low display they would go (16-bit, 800 x 600, 60 refresh rate).
I only got a buzz off my TV, with diagonal movement white. The frequency would change with the movement of the mouse, or editing the page.

I now have a RGB VGA cable, and all I get is a black screen with the same buzz.

Does anyone have ideas for either of these cables to work?
I really want to watch my AVI movies on a suitable screen.

Thank you very much
Mel

Hello

The laptop supports only a VGA port.
VGA port is designed to connect to the laptop computer screens.
Old TVs supports a 576px resolution (720 x 576).
I guess that the resolution is still too low that even you have changed the books at 800 x 600 resolution.

You usually have a s-video port to get a video on tube old TVs. But this laptop supports only the VGA port.

Hi, having a problem with this laptop. One day, when it would not start windows, it would go through the bar loading, then just a black screen and not progress any further.
Tried to fix the operating system Vista with the disc that came with the laptop and restore to another date, but it wouldn't work. Also tried to boot mode safe but it hang loading "crcdisk.sys", so I used an ubuntu live CD to boot into ubuntu and back up my data so I can re install windows.

Reinstalled vista, wipe the hard drive of all his scores in the process. It worked for a few days, but now the same problem happening again. Have tried to start in safe mode but still hangs on "crcdisk.sys.
I also used tool of windows memory diagnostic to check the memory is OK, and also the software on the vista disc that checks the hard drive is in good condition as well, but these two tests came back fine.

    Does anyone have solutions?
    Very appreciated

    Hello

The crcdisk.sys is a Microsoft Windows CRC disk file. I recommend doing:

! Insert the Vista Dvd disk into your ODD.
    2 select Repair
    3 then, command prompt
    4. type in the command prompt (all commands followed by Enter)

    Bootrec.exe /fixboot

    Bootrec.exe /fixmbr

    5 restart

    Hope it works

  • Satellite L350-203 - capslock button began to blink

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L350 203 and the capslock button began to blink,
Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix?

    TKS

    Hello

Have you tried to disable this light pressing caps lock shift again?

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery from the laptop.
Wait a while and connect to the battery. Switch on and check the caps lock button.
Some users in various forums have described a similar problem but not on Toshiba laptop but the notebooks from a different manufacturer.

But if this short workaround solution would not help, then I would recommend checking the keyboard.
I mean it could be a malfunction of the keyboard.

  • Satellite L350 loses the wireless connection

    Can someone please help?

I have a Satellite L350-170 which perfectly connects to the internet using a cable to connect to my router.
When you use the wireless to connect, I can only get a connection so I first of all turn off the wireless card and then enable it again, but I lose the connection within two minutes. I can reconnect if again, I turn off and then turn on the map.

The OS is Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2, fully implemented to date. I have updated to the most recent available wireless network driver. I tried to turn off IP6.
The laptop is connected to the network and receives a signal of power when it connects.
When the connection is lost, no networks are detected, but properties card says card works Ok, although Ipconfig says media disconnected. Other mobile stay connected anywhere in the House.

Thank you in anticipation of a quick solution.

Where did you download the latest driver for the Realtek 802.11 g (RTL8187B) wireless network card?

This is the WLan from Toshiba portal, where you can find the latest version of the driver:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

I recommend also to renew the IP address if this problem would occur.
Cmd execute command: ipconfig / renew
This should help to assign the new ip address

By the way: in the Device Manager-> Wlan card-> properties-> power management, you can uncheck the mark option which disables the card in order to save energy.

Have you tested the WiFi with open (unsecured) WiFi connection?

    Hello

Satellite L350-203 belongs to the series PSLD8E and the drivers for this series are on the European driver Toshiba page.

  • Totally dead Satellite L350-203

In short, I recommend greedily Toshiba laptops to all my clients and friends and family.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro myself, very happy with it, all those who have purchased after my recommendations are also happy, except that I recommended to a neighbour.

In April 2009 I sent them a link to buy a Toshiba L350-203. After just 6 months, the mouse pad has failed and had to be repaired. This person uses the laptop occasionally for web browsing in general.

Now, they turn to the top at my door, laptop in hand, totally dead, no power light or anything like that. To rule out that it is a power supply problem, a replacement power has been purchased.
Once again no power whatsoever. Food is certainly get to the plug of the adapter.

I think it's evil because it's just 15 months or two and saw very little use, it also leaves my tips for buying considered a bad recommendation and my reputation is on the line.

Someone suggested the hard drive could have died, perhaps my logic is wrong, but if the HARD drive was dead, but the power supply has confirmed that the work, would'nt the power of the computer laptop, but just fails to start? I know that on a PC, even without a disc hard, it will fuel yet.

I pull on my laptop HARD drive, unfortunately, the connections are the same type, but laid out different. I don't have access to another drive, with that I can test. The power supply seems to be ok, but I did not open the laptop to check physically, it apppears solid.
So shaken a little bit there is no sign of a power indicator. No power light, no light, totally dead unit.

I don't know what to do, as it is now out of warranty as far as I know, it will cost them financially, firstly we'll still look for my advice never & I lose credibility, secondly I doubtfully recommend Toshiba again because of the lack of reliability.

I hope Toshiba will specify this is a rare occurrence and something can be set.
    This would be most appreciated.

    Hi guy.

Indeed, I also recommend the use of Toshiba laptops but such problem of course can always happen it s any laptop manufacturer or model of mobile phone is.
Computer laptop is a machine and machine would dysfunction like other machines do too.
I have two different Toshiba laptops and I never had any problems with the units.
    However

    > Someone suggested the hard drive could have died, perhaps my logic is wrong, but if the HARD drive was dead, but the power supply has confirmed that the work, would'nt the power of the computer laptop, but just fails to start? I know that on a PC, even without a disc hard, it will fuel yet.
I doubt problem s HDD given that the laptop powering not upwards and does not POST (power on self-test) if the HARD drive is faulty, then the laptop would be always able to start, but you get an OS message was not found.

    > I don't know what to do, as it is now out of warranty as far as I know, it will cost them financially, firstly we'll still look for my advice never & I lose credibility, secondly I doubtfully recommend Toshiba again because of the lack of reliability.
The laptop is 15 months old. Generally, the standard notebook warranty laptop duration 12 months. But if the laptop was placed on the page of Toshiba, then the guarantee extend to 24 months.
So if the laptop has been saved in the past, then the warranty should always be available.

Anyway, back to the question, I think that the RAM (memory) should be tested also. If it s RAM DO not matter, then the motherboard could be affected and in this case the motherboard needs to be replaced.
This can be done by a Toshiba ASP.

I recommend so get in touch with the local ASP in order to check the laptop parts!

    Good luck

  • Satellite L350 - 21Q - No internet Connection

My husband's laptop computer cannot access the internet even if the network connection says connected successfully - local network only.

I have another 3 laptops and an ipad on the network, so don't think that there is no problem with the network. The wireless connection is enabled, wireless says its working properly and I did all the checks recommended by my ISP.

Anyone has any ideas I can try? Thanks for any help offered.

    Hello

Did you check if the firewall is blocking the connection Internet by Satellite L350? So if you have a firewall installed you should disable and then test it again.
What happens if you open a Web browser?

The Satellite L350 has an IP address? Maybe you have to change it in the TCP/IP configuration. Also test it with static and automatic IP address (depending on your router).

  • Satellite L350 - 20G - how to connect it to the TV?

    Hello

I bought a Satellite L350 - 20G on Tuesday and just have a question, it will probably be the first of many! I was wondering if anyone knows if you can connect to this laptop to a TV via a cable? If so should which cable I buy?

    Thank you

    JEM

    Hello!

I think that it of very easy to connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV. If he doesn t have an HDMI port, you must use the laptop VGA port. Therefore, you need a VGA cable and, in addition, a VGA adapter RCA if your TV isn't equipped with VGA port.

If you are looking for on eBay or online shops for VGA or VGA to RCA cable, you should find enough results! ;)

And in your user manual, you can also find information on the use of the external monitors. You can switch with FN + F5 the monitor then.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro C870-1E2 - internet connection problem Proxy Server not responding

My old Toshiba computer connects to the internet via a numbered port,
yet my new Toshiba Satellite Pro C870 1E2 connects to the internet through a proxy server.

Why I ask because this morning when I started, I was unable to connect to the internet and all that appeared on the screen was the message "Proxy Server not responding."

When I tried the old computer connected instantly he had to wait a long period of time before that the "proxy" got it's act together.

    Advice please?

    > Why I ask because this morning when I started, I was unable to connect to the internet and all that appeared on the screen was the message "Proxy Server not responding."

And why you think you ve you have a problem with the Satellite laptop? I understand the original message: the Satellite acts as client.
In my eyes there is a problem with the proxy server, and this should be checked first.
Its almost impossible to tell which could affect the proxy, but as a first step, a reboot would be desirable.

  • Satellite L350-264 - how to connect to the TV?

I have a L350-264, which does not have an HDMI output jack. I want to play videos through my TV Sony flat screen.

I think I can connect the Jack of the monitor (15-pin) for vision TV, but what about the sound. I guess that the headset plug will not provide a strong enough signal.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

    > I guess that the headset plug will not provide a strong enough signal.
    Why do you think that?
    You have tested it already?

On my Satellite L300, I too only VGA output port and use the headphone jack to the audio signal. Everything works fine and the sound is pretty good.

  • Satellite Pro m USB devices connection problems

    Hello visitors and insiders.

can someone help me, please? - or are the causes of the problems of programmed BIOS is not perfect?

I put on the USB Ports (I tried all 3 Ports) after correct installation of the most recent drivers for devices and the BIOS and chipset.
I tried MAGIX encoder by USB and PINNACLE for USB encoder - both signal-request-problems and the two could not shut down the system after connecting with USB and close with her current for USB device.

I tried this on different WinXP installiations (multiboot) - but on all systems even.

The same reaction has been, as I have connected a special CUSHION cooler for laptop with additional USB Ports.
The CUSHION cooled - but the USB Ports do not work for all devices (devices I am familiar with the)
Ports of origin of the laptop, has failed to TRIM, too). (worked directly devices: mouse, webcam, keyboard, drive hard usb)

What should do? .. If anyone know Somethin ' help... I will be very happy.

Thank you very much!!! (Sorry for my English is not perfect)

    Ben

Is what model of laptop exactly?

Have you installed Windows yourself? Or it was preinstalled?

Looks like it's a software problem, bad drivers USB can at fault.

You are able to back up your data and run recovery?

  • Satellite Pro C665 and internet connection problems

Hi, will try and give as much information as I can, so sorry for the long post.

I bought this new laptop in August is so very old, I connect to the internet with modem USB 3 G telstra and a cycle of 3 weeks he began to abandon the connection within 30 seconds approximately.
The blue LED on the identification of the USB modem still flash, it has a connection, but I would get the yellow explanation mark on the icon of internet connection in the task bar.

Now, the only way to recover the connection must close the connection of Telstra, unplug it, plug it back in and reconnect, a few times I have to reboot and will have to go through this routine 5 - 6 times and sometimes up to 10 attempts before I get a stable connection.

So first I thought it might be the USB modem, so I got a replacement of telstra, but made no difference, then I had a replacement sim card and still no luck.

Then I did a new install of Windows 7 and installed all the current updates, still no go.

I then bought a wireless router to eliminate the USB connection and still have the same question.

Sometimes it can be very frustrating trying to get a solid connection, but once it gets a good connection, it will stay connected for hours without any problem

I'm not an expert with computers, but can usually find a solution to problems of software, I have, but that left me speechless and I think I've covered most of the region to address this.

    Thanks for your time.

Unfortunately I can't say anything on Telstra 3 G USB modem. Toshiba doesn't support third party hardware, software and does not offer any kind of support.

I put t know where you got this USB modem but I m wondering you didn't visit their store and test in functionality it bring your laptop with you. The people who work there could make inspection on site.

I also put t know why you have this problem at home. Your router is not known to us, but is there a difference when using WLAN secure or unlocked and without password?

    Hi Harald

Can you please tell us what model of laptop do you have?
Are you using the original version of OS that you got with your laptop?

Maybe I didn't understand the description of your problem, but I imagine that the USB ports do not work on your laptop satellite? Right? have you tested with different USB devices?
When you open Device Manager you will see some unknown devices here or some hardware issues?
