Satellite on L9W - B Mini - Inaccessible Boot Device

Hi all

I installed win10 and decided to do a complete reset that I gave this computer to someone else to use.
After the reset, it does not start properly and fails with an "inaccessible boot device message".

I created a USB boot with a version of win8.1 to install, but no touchscreen or keyboard works, so I can't go ahead with the installation.

someone had this problem? I want to refer to toshiba that I'm tired of this device

Thank you

Hi, I installed Windows 10 and reset mine causing this problem, it seems Windows 10 upgrade does not work properly.

The drivers for the keyboard and touchscreen are not standard, so are not integrated to the version 8/10 bootable usb. You can get a normal usb hub usb microphone and plug in a usb keyboard/mouse to go or if you have created a recovery drive as Toshiba tell you in the instructions it will actually contain the right key drivers.

To boot from the recovery disc press FN N (F12) as soon as the machine is running and the Toshiba logo shows, and he will give you the option of what to start from.

I'm changing my motherboard that supports the quad core processor. However, I get an inaccessible boot device error when I try to boot with the new motherboard. I tried to boot from the installation dvd and repair, but it cannot solve the problem.

I don't want to perform a new installation. It was easy with WinXP pro. The cd should solve the problem. But, I can just know how to do this with Windows Vista.

Is there a way to get the registry to look for new drivers? It may not be a big problem since the installation DVD to see the drive with any action on my part.

    From: Rick Rogers

    Hi Meigs,

Sorry, but change the motherboard in most cases it will take a reinstall. The exception would be a card replacement or one that is very closely related. XP could affect a repair installation, it is not possible in Windows Vista due to changes in the way the operating system is built on the hard drive.

Moreover, the error message at startup is likely, given that the new motherboard uses a driver different thant previous to load the hard disk.

  • Error 0X0000007B (inaccessible boot Device) to start.

From two days ago, about 8 or 21:00 my computer freezes whenever I clicked on any icon or attempted to open anything. Not even all that normally appears as yahoo messenger and all my other programs popped up. After this has is spent several times I went to safe mode and thought at first maybe it was something with the memory, or maybe the computer was going slowly I went into cleaning disk and deleted files. Then, I went in my add or remove programs and deleted some things more freeing space. After that happened, I tried again and still no luck. Shortly after, I went back to the security mode and attempted a full McAfee scan for viruses. It took 11-12 hours and there is no virus. Then, I went back into safe mode and tried to do a restore of the system for a few days back. I've tried twice and both times a screen popped up error after about 3 or 4 minutes for system restore. After some research I found this means cessation critical object, so I tried a startup repair, it said 0X000000F4 (0XFFFFFA8006881BA0, 0XFFFFFA8006881DD8, 0 X 0000000000000003, 0XFFFFF800022E3540). I learned that it was Inaccessible boot Device. I tried to use my last known configuration after return in safe mode and that did nothing. I then went to my device because Manager that all the time I did research we're talking maybe a driver is not updated. I discovered that my drivers are all updated, but my IR devices has a triangle attention beside him. When I clicked on properties I found it saying: this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31). • Stop 0x0000007B (inaccessible boot device) on an existing VM Code, not after the conversion of vcenter

Please forgive any misuse of terminology that I am fairly new to technology - VMware

I have a VM I created fee-BONES is win2k sp4.  It worked for about a year with no problems.  During the last two weeks, I've created a few additional VM using vcenter to create the P2V. I noticed recently that my original VM that wasn't an import has been planted with the reading blue screen 0x0000007B (inaccessible boot device).  The virtual machine reached the blue screen with the error even after each reboot.

For fun, I tried to change the bus type of bus to LSI Logic - a reboot always gives the same blue screen when starting upwards. (So I've switched back to logic of bus).  I spent the server ESXi 3.5 in maintenance mode and did a reboot.  No luck again.  Then I tried to start the virtual machine in safe mode - but unfortunately I still get the blue screen and error 0x0000007B.

Any idea on what I should try next?  Thank you.

    Hi Paul,.

    Welcome to the forums.

If your virtual machine has worked for a long time, it must be a problem inside the guest OS or a corrupted driver or registry. Be sure to set up the SCSI controller to its original value. You can also have a look at your storage device, in which case there is a bad block on your physical disk.

If you need to recover data from the virtual machine, you can join his secondary disk to another Windows running as a virtual disk. Otherwise, you can try to reach the installation CD and attempt a repair.

    Good luck.

  • Satellite C660-IHK - 'Reboot & Select good Boot device'

First of all, thanks for any help. I don't know anything about the inner workings of computers, so things, please explain to me how you would do for a baby! Here's the problem: my Satellite C660-IHK is one month. I have not much used, nor had any problem with it. Until last night. I turned it on, the logo appeared as usual, and then it went to a screen that tells me to "Reboot and select proper boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press a key. I have no idea what that means or what I should do now.

On another chance, I pressed 'Set Up', which was located at the bottom of the screen when the logo first appeared. I went to 'Boot '. Here is the info:

    HDD/SSD
    USB
    WEIRD MATHITADVD-RAM UJ8BO
    FLOPPY DRIVE
    LAN Realtex PXE

On this page, I am also told "choose the priority of the computer starts". Again, I don't know what it should be. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

You see this message every time when you start your laptop?

    It's a little strange.
Start your laptop and press F2 to enter the BIOS settings. Use F9 and set it to check and default settings, if the problem persists or not.

If Yes, restart your laptop and press F12 to get into the boot menu. Check if the HARD drive is listed there. If Yes, select it and press ENTER. Windows starts correctly?

  • Satellite L750 - no error at startup boot device

When you try to start my Satellite L750/755, I get an error no. Bootable Device.

Before I try any recovery, is it possible to remove the HARD drive and connect it to my other PC so that I can get all my pictures, music, etc. it. If so, do I need.

I have it on my old desk, and bought a HARD drive with a USB caddy, if disk HARD just looked like an external drive.

    Thank you very much

    Tim

Yes, you can remove the HARD drive and connect it to your other laptop / PC with USB HDD external enclosure. With the help of this forum you can connect your HARD drive as an external device that must be recognized and listed in the Windows Explorer, so you can have full access to all your stored data.

Back up all your data and put the HARD drive in your laptop.

Usually, if there is not a hardware problem you can start your laptop and press F12 to get into the boot menu. When the boot menu appears on the screen that you can put the recovery disk of information optical disk drive, choose the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER. After making this optical drive should start the disc and start to copy the data to the HARD drive.

What you can do before you start using the recovery disc is to enter the BIOS and set it to default settings.

Please try it and send feedback.

  • Satellite on L9W - B Mini - touch pad does not

    Hello

I recently bought a Toshiba mini click, and I think my touchpad is defective because it does not at all, does not meet the clicks or movement and never has.

I tried to reinstall the 3 different versions of the driver swing.
I tried to reset the bios,
    I did update the bios,
I tried just the standard Microsoft driver
Connected and disconnected a thousand times
    Fully charged both
    Also tried F5.

Still can't make it work, any advice?

    See you soon
    Sam

Hmm... It could be a hardware problem, but what about the system recovery?

Retrieve the computer laptop back to factory settings and check the touchpad feature directly after the aircraft was recovered and the factory settings.

For the most part, in case of software problems, this recovery procedure should solve your problem...
