Scan images in forms app / scanner Twain

Can you give your opinion on how to have a form * QUICKLY * scan and crop the images of a scanner passport photo size

Data entry speed is essential, so I'd like to minimize the total time and keep the mouse button click on count down.

I want to do as much as possible in the context of the form's window. Scanning directly in an image on the form would be nice as the current application to do this via a Twain scan

The scanned image are saved in a file (either on the application server forms or in the MS-Windows client file system). The name of the file will be stored in the database and displayed in the form. I'm not sure if the image must be displayed in the form window or not.

The scanned images are pictures of identity of the face size.

The user must make minimum changes to the photo - cropping usually only.

Is there Java beans that will help to do this? Use OLE via WEB_UTIL? Any other ideas?

Thank you

    Hello

    I have problems with scanning.

The scanned image is not right, not horizontal, the image / lines slightly tilting. The right of a line that is slightly below the line on the left. Looks like the book was a little twisted, but it's not. The left and right margins are straight and vertical, but the lines is tilted slightly.

This occurs regardless whether I put the paper on the glass or using the paper feeder.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C410b: could not save the scanned images

I use the HP Scan application and the error message: -.

Could not save the scanned images

appears when you try to save in a folder as a PDF or any other format.

Ironically, if I'm going by sending to the printer and then save to PDF it works!

I checked and I'm using 4.2.2 with El Capitan HP driver software

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

The application from HP for your printer is not compatible with El Capitan, so the output files incorrectly recorded.

In the Hewlett-Packard folder move HP Scan to the trash and empty it.

Before you install and use the HP Easy Scan application below which should save the files correctly:

  • HP 6510 - areas shaded on scanned images

When I scan an image or document using a HP 6510 scanned images are dark and shaded areas along the vertical edges of the completed scans. The cover is closed all the way and the shadows are not part of the original image/document. What could cause this problem and how to fix it?

I have scanned hundreds of images with a C5280 printer/scanner and never had any problems with it. Since I bought the 6510, I didn't have problems with it, it's a true lemon IMO. Does anyone know if HP is planning a recall on this model?

Resolved: The problem proved to be the scanner cover. It allows a small amount of light to enter along the edge of the hinge. After you verify that the lid has been correctly installed (tabs of hinge in place and the lid placed correctly in addition to glass) I found that putting something, like a book or my hand on top of the lid while the machine is scanning has solved the problem.

I miss my old HP Photosmart C5280.

  • line on scanned image

I have an Officejet 6500 has more all-in-one. The machine works fine except for one question.

When you are scanning from the document feeder only, all scanned images leave a thin black line running vertically down the page, exactly 1 inch from the right side. If the same page is analyzed by putting it on the flat, no line appears.

Just to confirm, is this normal? And if not, what is the solution?

Could not resolve the problem after the documents you pointed me to

    Called HP support

The problem has been resolved by unplugging the printer/scanner to the surge protector power bar and plug directly into the wall outlet

  • scan to PDF or missing the twain interface

    Series of HP D110 printer/scanner, prod # CN731A

When I arrived to this printer, she had a scan to the pdf option, but after installing the updates, the feature was lost somewhere. Specifications also state that there is a twain interface for this device, but it is not in the software.

I use the scanner probably more than the printer. It's an ugly printer, jams a lot. How can I scan to PDF? Find a twain interface for this?

I used to love the HP printers, but lately all I got seems to be worse than the last. I got it at a great price for an emergency situation. Indicates that the warranty expired before I bought the printer!

TWAIN is integrated in the HP Solution Center, software of digitization. This is the interface that our software uses to communicate with the printer. If you want just a standalone scanning application, I recommend you search your computer for the "HPSCAN.exe", but according to the version supplied with your software, it can just implement the Solution Center. I know that some versions have their own independent analysis component, but I saw where it was incorporated with the solution center software.

  • HP ENVY 4500: Scanned image appears in several parts of the whole.

Hi people, for convenience, I'm going to number paragraphs describing my problem.

    1. any new product, which was to install a couple of days.

    2. the product prints and copy great and no problems. However, although yesterday I scanned a picture OK, now not so much.

    3. I hate to admit it, but I am 81 and my memory is not so great. Perhaps, I do not use the Protocol? Here are the details of the problem:

    4. when I scan using the screen of the printer the printer allows to scan that a good connection to my computer and an appropriate message is displayed on the monitor screen "Scanning". When parsing the result image is sent to the 'Documents '. So far, good.

    5. what analyzes all the I go to Documents and find the split image in ten 10 or more separate items and it would be a major task using PES or similar to the room together. In any case, would not be a solution, the photo scanning in a room, that's what I'm aiming for.

6 but it is not the end of the problem. When I scan using the computer all scans correctly and is displayed in the preview window, which appeared on my screen. But the 'same' problem persists as above and the scanned image in appear in 10 or more parts at all.

    7. I don't think that there is nothing wrong with the product, rather I strongly suspect that I'm doing something wrong or maybe I misconfigured Setup.

How can I fix this problem? What should I do to scan photos and documents as an image or a document and not 10?

I'll be very grateful to help on this problem. Thank you very much. If you need more information, please just ask.

    Stehkoyeh.

What follows is HPENVY4500 all_in_one printer, scanner, copier and fax. Professor, thank you very much for your help. However, I managed to fix my situation with the changes as follows:

    1. in the hp/scan utility on the computer. I clicked on the Scan of the computer and then the change analysis tasks...

    2. This was brought up in a popup window. I then put 'photo jpeg' highlight and click on modify.

    3. This brought another window. This is the important part. I've changed the menu presets "Photos, graphics, etc." and then that immediately under this Type 'exit' I've changed to read JPEG.

    4. everything that sounds very complex and I know I got lucky to fall on this procedure, because I'm good technically not for sure!

However, the procedure above fixed my problem and my scans to and from the computer using Direct and wireless network were quite normal and very good. The scans are clear and bright and crisp colors. I am now very happy.

As for the solution "self-cultivation", I'll certainly store that is far away and use it if you need. Although it was not necessary for my problem now, it's a very important protocol worth remembering.

  • Not scanned image the same size as the original

Scanned images of a doc of legal size seem to be reproduced on images of legal size. When printing, the print space is 60% or the printed page, while the original doc was so full page. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

The default action is to just scan the document in without letting you look at your scan settings. I would say "the Interface of the Native Scanner see the" setting under "Custom Scan".  File > create a PDF from a Scanner > custom scan

Click on the radio button to select "native interface of the scanner Show", then OK to confirm.

When you click Scan in custom scan, you can then preview, set the size and then analyze using your own scanner software.

  • Preview of the scanned image is good but once saved image is black with horizontal lines

    My OS is: OSX 10.9.3

I have a HP Photosmart Premium series - C309g all-in-one machine. This machine worked well.

    Print is good.

    Copy is good.

But now I have some analysis of the issues, probably due to an update of the OS.

Problem: Preview of the scanned image is good, but what saving image--> the image is black with horizontal lines.

I rumaged through the forums and you have not yet found a solution to my specific machine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Scan using the software provided as Capture of Image or preview.

The application of scanning HP for your printer is not available to 10.9, you use incompatible software.

    Hello

HP Easy Scan provides not less features HP Scan, this is a later version of the software.

It provides the same functionality, such as capabilities, OCR, Image detection, scanning front panel and other capablities supplied by HP Scan.

You can also install more HP Scan and test it, the current application will remain on your Mac.

  • Scanned image is straight but saved jpeg's fishy?

I have Windows Vista 64-bit and Epson Artisan 800 all-in-one. The previewed scan is right, but when I open the jpeg file scanned with picture Windows, HP Media smart Gallery & PictureViewer, everything fishy.  Weird?  JPEG files from a camera are straight.  Copied/printed photos and scans on USB on the Artisan flash drive are okay. Picture scanned in PDF format, ladle.  Uninstalled, reinstalled drivers Epson Epson support responsible, first few scanned jpegs were straight and then all the other shady scans.  To the scanner/printer scans are okay.  The scanner for Windows scans are suspicious.

    Hello

I suggest you to disable the allignment settings that may be present by the scanner.

If the step above does not resolve the problem, then I suggest you to contact Epson support for assistance.
