SG200-08 Configuration LAG and Internet access

I have what is probably a very simple and completely the question of noob, but after hours and days of research, I can't quite understand.

I have the switch SG200-08 that I use for the aggregation of connection between a NAS Synology DS713 + and my HP Z820 workstation.

I have ports 1 and 2 set up as LAG CH1 connection to ports 7 and 8 as LAG CH2 connect to the NAS and HP. I'm AT & T Uverse as my Internet provider so I have a single cable from my Uverse router to the switch Cisco to provide Internet access. I also am coming out of my Cisco switch on my Apple Airport Extreme, offering a Wi - Fi connection at home, in addition to access wireless to the NAS.

I have no problem to see and connect to my NAS drive, but my problems comes with regular internet access to my computer.

I created a team with two of my Intel NIC and connect properly to the NAS. My Internet is, however, completely hit or miss.

A few times, it shows Internet access and connects to the web pages very well and other times he will say: no Internet. I tried dragging around ports, enable/disable some settings that I have either read online thinking that it might be one of my problems, but at this point all this COMPUTER jargon made my brain bleed. I don't know if my basic settings are correct or if I need to change something simple to get this to work all this. I have attached a basic outline to help understand my confusion. Not sure if it is my bad configured switch. It could also be my team of SHIFT created in Windows 8. Hope I've provided enough information.

Thanks for any advice.

Kind regards

Toby

Hello

I had a similar problem with a workstation running Windows 7 and 8 by using a network card Intel 350 - T2 with a grouping of LAG interface.

As soon as I DISABLED FRAMES JUMBO on network cards, the questions is arrested and everything worked fine (ping always successful, the Web pages showing all applications).

Hope this helps for you also.

  • WiFi connected but unknown network and internet access

    Hello

I think I've read enough forums and done enough research I finally post my question. My other laptop is Dell Inspiron 1545. It connects to my home network, but says unknown network and no internet access. I tried wifi and ethernet cable. The IP address is set to auto detect, I have reset the router, reinstalled the drivers for the card wifi, without success. Any ideas?

Only, I solved this problem on my Dell XPS, so I decided to share with the community.

After the call to Dell and discover my warranty had expired (a little more than one year) and knowledge it would cost me $129 to get a response from time, I decided to go look for solutions. I found a thread of 2009, attributing the cause to a thing of access network Mcaffee. I knew that's the question because I don't personally like the major anti virus makes (they tend to pull up of stunts like this) so I had ripped my PC McAfee, as soon as I started. But this thread has helped me understand how to solve this problem.

The problem seems to be an Agent of network access Protection on your system configuration (your start up programs). Make sure it is off. It wouldn't hurt also to try to disable the Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service (has a name shady so I nuked it too: P). this fixed my connection problem not identified immediately.

    Follow these steps (Windows 7):

    1. click on start.

    2. click on search at the bottom bar.

    3. type: msconfig

    4. press enter

    5. you should have a new window named System Configuration

    6. click on the Services tab.

    7. scroll down until you find: Network Access Protection Agent. It will be defined as stopped. It's normal.

    8. uncheck the box next to the network access Protection Agent.

    9. click on OK.

    10. restart your computer.

Your internet connection should work now. If this is not the case, repeat the procedure until step 6, and then follow these steps:

    1. scroll down until you find: Internet Explorer collector Service to ETW. It will be defined as stopped. It's normal.

2 uncheck Internet Explorer collector Service to ETW.

    3. click on OK.

    4 restart your computer.

If these two steps don't fix your problem, go back to the Configuration of the system (Services tab) and it look for any other Network Access Protection Agent, such as Macafee named ones or something similar. Please be aware that uncheck essential services can cause pc problems, so make sure you know what you're unchecking before you do. If in doubt, feel free to google it.

Another solution would be to temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall and see if that helps. If Yes, then you know where you need to focus.

Good luck and hope it works!

  • Termination of the client PIX VPN and Internet access from the same interface

    Hello

VPN remote users connect to PIX (7.2) outside interface, but need to have these clients to access the Internet through the PIX outside interface as well. One way would be to set up a proxy within the network and vpn users have access to the Internet through the proxy, but can it be done without proxy?

  • Internet not working not but the laptop says it's connected to the modem and "Internet access".

My laptop says it's connected to our modem and having 'Internet access'. However, I can't use the Internet on any of my browsers. I tried to turn my Wi - Fi, and who have done nothing. I also tried to restart my laptop and modem, but who didn't do anything either. I checked the Device Manager to see if the NETWORK card worked properly. It said it was working fine. Unless it's lying to me. I plugged in an Ethernet cable to my laptop, but I still couldn't get on the Internet. I ran my computer in safe mode with networking with an ethernet cable but still could not access the Internet. I don't know what the problem is.

I used troubleshooting and that's what he came back to me:
"The connection between your access point, router or cable modem and the Internet is broken."
I did what he told me to and restarted my modem... once again. It did not work.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I have the same problem.  My internet connection seems fine.  I can connect to the internet on my laptop to the company, xbox 360, roku and my cell phone, but not my laptop from Sony.  When I check the connection it says its fine but when I run a diagnostic it says "the DNS server is not responding."  I checked with my cable company and that they 'refreshed' my signal, but it would not connect.  Even than your wi - fi network or directly with an ethernet cable.

If someone could help us both appreciate it.

    Thank you

  • Atheros AR5007 wireless network adapter will give me only non-local local access and internet access. Any help please.

Not sure if the problem is hardware or software. Reinstalled Vista (32 bit) and all programs. Make sure that the appropriate driver has been installed at HP. Can access the internet via ethernet, but wireless is detected with excellent resistance but will only give local access. I would be grateful for any feedback. In addition, it used to work properly. Not sure what happened to bring about change.

I'm fighting this same question for months.  I fixed it just a few minutes ago.  I had been looking for Bulletin Board after Board.  Here's what I did - I hope it helps.

Enter the network and sharing Center

Other right of the connection - click to view the status of

    Click on properties

    Under your driver, click CONFIGURE
    Click on the DRIVER tab

    Click on update DRIVER

Have windows search for the driver update.

Once this is installed, I could immediately get Internet restored.  Months of frustration finally taking charge!

    Good luck!

  • C4580 install disables the XP firewall and internet access for 3 minutes at the start of the PC

After installing C4580, when I turn on my Dell Inspiron C510m, XP tells me that the firewall is disabled, I can't access to the internet or even my router nor can I use the Applets in Control Panel that could help me sort these things. After 3 minutes, the Firewall WARNING disappears and everything is fine, but none of the updates antivirus and software update checks performed and I have to perform these tasks manually. The printer works fine, but it worries me that this behavior indicates a potential vulnerability - it's like something kept the door open to let the unpleasant things in the computer. Uninstall the HP software solves the problem, and he re - install it reminds me once again. There is something hanging in a HP driver at startup?

    PeterM

I found the answer to this one, if anyone is interested, even if the solution required a work-around on the way. Suggested HP support I have just uninstall and install software downloaded from their site (PS_AIO_04_C4500_USW_Full_Win_enu_120_210.exe). This indeed solve, and another problem I had (see network & Wireless forum), but this download is missing the software package I.R.I.S. OCR, presumably for reasons associated with 3 rd-party lisensing. HP support insisted that this download was the OCR, but the OCR .exe is certainly missing. Workaround needed to go back and re - install the CD software, then uninstall everything except the OCR package (you can do), then install the downloaded version. My PC still takes too long to start, but it's probably the combined effect of each software package, I never installed wanting home phone so that it loads.

  • The filtering of the VPN 3000 with multiple businesses and internet access?

    Hello

We have a scenario where we want to up to 6 companies to connect to a concentrator 3000 3002 HW-customers. Companies should be able to have access to the e a few machines at the central site and and at the same time having access to the internet. We will use network extension mode. They cannot use the PIN-tunnel and we want that all internet traffic through the central site.

Anyone who think that using the 3000 for this "filtering" is a good idea or should I use an external router routing policies?

I use the 3000 to complete tunnels and parallel with your corporate firewall. Set the default gateway of Tunnel on the 3000 to be inside the IP address of the firewall and add a static route on the 3000 to your internal network, pointing to your next hop router. Add static routes on your firewall for remote VPN network pointing inside the VPN3000 IP address. This way no matter what VPN traffic that is destined for your interior, network will go to your home router and nothing else (Internet traffic), will go to your firewall and get routed Internet.

As to where you place the filters, you could put them either on the 3000, but personally I do not like the filter - rule in 3000 stuff too. I would put a list of access on your router (who carry static electricity pointing towards) which allows specific remote networks simply get to the individual inside the hosts and nothing else, it's a lot easier to manage.

  • The remote VPN Clients and Internet access

I apologize in advance if this question has already been addressed. I am currently using a PIX Firewall Version 6.1 520 (2) running. I have several remote users that VPN for the PIX. Once the VPN tunnel is started, they are more able to connect to internet from their local computers. Is there a configuation on the PIX that allows remote users to have access to the internet when you are connected to the PIX.

    TIA,

    Jeff Gulick

The Pix does not allow traffic enter and exit on the same interface. Therefore, a VPN user cannot access the Internet through the tunnel. If you use the Cisco client, enable tunneling split so that all traffic through the tunnel.

If you use PPTP, you can turn off the option that makes the remote network, the default gateway. However, local routes should be added to these clients when they connect.

Or you can use an additional interface on the firewall. One that puts an end to VPN tunnels and another providing for Internet connectivity. In this way the traffic is not enter/leave on the same interface.

Of course, it is preferable if the customer Internet traffic does not go through the tunnel. It wastes your bandwidth and has security problems as well. I suggest you use the client to Cisco and the split tunneling.

  • Laptop connected to 2 ISP networks (Ethernet + wireless) - Wireless Connection shows a "yellow Triangle" - no Internet access

I am facing a network unusual problem with the following network configuration

    1. laptop connected to isps1 via Ethernet - 192.168.0.x (serves as router NAT and DHCP)
    2. same laptop connected to ISP2 network Wi - Fi - 10.1.1.x (router does NAT and DHCP)

    7. If I reboot, the problem returns - new shows a "yellow Triangle" wireless connection - no Internet access

  • RVS4000 DHCP Internet access

Hello community! I hope someone can help me understand why my RVS4000 router does not allow access to the Internet. This is the DHCP enabled with IP address of 10.10.1.50 and Maximum number of DHCP users 100, so 10.10.1.50 - 10.10.1.149 starting. Users receive IP between 50 and 99 have internet access, but the foregoing 99 has access to only the local network. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? The previous range was 50 and I reboot the router after changing the range. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • No local/internet access

I have a NX700 with a built-in wireless function. When I go through the Setup program tries to connect to the internet, he noted only that the wireless connection was working, and internet access and local access failed. Also, if I try to use a wired connection - it's the same thing: it acknowledges the wired connection, but the local access and access to the internet that these two don't. It is not my router because other devices work. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with care, and they think that I must return to my tv.

I adjusted the security settings on the router, and it does not help. If anyone has suggestions on what to do, it would be greatly appreciated, because the back tv will be a chore.

    Thank you!

I have the KDL40 - NX711 Wifi Tv and I have experienced the same problem when I changed my router. I am owner of a Netgear WNDR3700 and I had to exchange it because it was defective. The new router is exactly the same, and the TV can detect the SSID broadcast. When I entered my passode, TV would set up and come back with the message that Internet OK, has no Local access and Internet failed. It took several calls to Sony (who have no idea), Netgear and Comcast to realize that nobody could help. Eventually, I realized that I had to do a manual install and provide my TV with the primary IP address, subnet, default gateway and DNS address. I did not allow the proxy server at all. I was able to get this information through the control panel under Windows Vista. Click Network and sharing icon, under the wired home network click State view. Click the property box in the local area network box. The IP initially did not work, because it was already used by other wireless devices in the House. For example, I used 192.168.1 and TV it back foot. I logged on Netgear to see what devices were in use on which IP address, and I changed the last digit to a 192.168.8 (8), which was open. I hope this helps.

  • Parental Controls + Internet Access Policy 'Add' is shaded on

I need to add several new devices to my "target devices" in the Parental control-Internet access policy and program schedules that devices can get online. But my 'Add' is shaded out and I'm not allowed to add devices. I use the browser to log in to the router.

To manage access to the Internet, you have two methods available, Parental control and Internet access policy. That a method can be used at a time. So my first question which option you are trying to use to block or plan the Internet access?

As the Parental controls can restrict internet access for up to five computers or devices. You can block access to the internet or to limit it to specific times, and you can also block specific Web sites.

So if you have several devices then 5 to add then you should use the political Internet access option.

  • limit internet access

I can't connect to the internet. My router works well as my other devices work well. I have laptop CAREB. Windows 7 every time I try to connect it gives limited access. Someone told me to uninstall and reinstall drive device manager... Unfortunately, I couldn't reinstall it.and I have not the CD. Please if you could help me

    Hi Ajay,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

I'm sorry to know that you are unable to connect to the internet. I'll try my best to help you fix it. help me to better understand the question by answering these questions:

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
    2. It is an internet connection wired or wireless?
    3. Are you able to connect any other device to the same router and internet access?

Some common problems that can cause these problems are:

    1. a wireless network adapter switch that is not enabled.
2 WEP, WPA or WPA2 key or password security issues.
    3. the cables that are not connected correctly.
    4. the corrupt or incompatible drivers.
    5. missing updates.
    6. network connection settings.
    7. hardware or software problems.

See the methods mentioned below and try to update the drivers that is mentioned in the link

    Method 1

Follow the suggestions in the article below.

Windows wireless and wired network connection problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

Method 2: Disable the anti-virus software if installed some and check.

    Caution:

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Hope it will be useful. Back to us for assistance.
