  2. are you referring to the DVD drive as DVD drive?
  3. do you think that no matter what error code indicated in the device properties in Device Manager?

  What format are the programs being recorded in? Your medial player is probably missing the right codec. Usually, when this happens, you will get a pop up window in which Windows give the possibility to provide web support. If you click web support, a page opens that gives you the file format.
