• Hotkey Utility with XP SP2 and L10

  I found the problem with Hotkey Utility, it works fine until I put in hibernation or standby time of my computer. After it does not Fn + F2 or Fn + F3. Reboot only (hotkey.exe) HotkeyUtility does not help, I have to restart XP to run the hotkey properly. Can fix you this utility and put any update on the site?   I have a new Satellite Pro L10 with DVD Super Multi player running XP Pro. I was not able to write on the DVD player - either it does not recognize the DVD in the drive or it blue screens and crashes when I use the Windows backup installation until I read the error message. Now I get very nervous, I could not support the 6 weeks I got it...
  I can play the pre-recorded (of movies) DVD in the drive and it can read CDs and some brands of DVD. The manual is singularly useless on the use/troubleshooting of the Super Multi drive

  I don't think you can use the Windows backup to record directly to CD or DVD. The following is an excerpt from the Microsoft web site: -.

  • .......... Unfortunately, the Windows backup utility cannot save files directly to a CD - RW disc.

  Have you tried the software to burn DVDs. I think that you should have Sonic RecordNow and Windvd.

• L10: hotkey dialog box

  I recently installed McAfee Internet security on my Toshiba L10. Since then every time I start up the laptop I get a box of dialg hotkey 'display a confirmation pending' and the checkbox 'Show a Hibernate implementation'. What is cancel or OK is clicked on the dialoguie box everything works OK. McAfee is a help, does anyone know how to remove that box of start-up procedure?

I have the same system and utilities installed on front. but when I formatted my system and install os clear last. section of graphic properties, on the only section of mobile devices is selected. no other device dual display clone, monitor or desktop extended... bios and the display driver is more recent.

  I recently bought a new notebook Satellite L10-192, and I have trouble with the video out of service.

  The image on the TV screen is black and white. I have read and followed the instructions of the manual (indicate the video mode PAL B, etc.), but it is always black and white.

  In my opinion, your settings on the laptop are right but please check your TV also. I put t know if your TV is a S-video port or you use a S-video adapter. Please check menu TV. Maybe it's for S-video option in the port.

• Satellite L10 - Hotkey.exe error after booting Windows 2000

  I've installed Windows 2000 on my Satellite L10 rather
  XP. After installing the utility Hotkey-I get an Error Message at every boot:

  Hotkey.exe - Entry Point not found
  The procedure entry point WTSUnRegisterSessionNotification could not be loaded into the WTSAPI32.dll dynamic link library.

  Same error Message When you try to manually start the Hotkey.exe.

  How can I solve this problem? The system works, but the
  Keys not.

  I am using the inprocomm WLan on a new satellite Pro L10 running XP Pro with Windows zero configuration disabled.

  I have 2 routers netgear acting as access points, with several other wireless devices work well.

  I found a few problems:
  local network utility does not define the WEP key at startup (and does not work with reliability of boot).
  You cannot run the utility except if connected as an admin user.
  profile settings not retained "broad machine", only by the user.
  the support inprocomm website does not appear to exist (www.inprocomm.com.tw).

  most are small problems, but the lack of reliable startup is a major problem. I had an another toshiba I got before reliable machines, but this feels like the beta test software.

  the drivers are up-to-date (even if it is not updated on the web site of toshiba, and pilots were dated 2004)

  Anyone got directions on how to do it?

  I spent a day of evil and cannot do this work anyway for a non admin user, and must always start manually for work at all.

• Equium L10: How to use Toshiba Recovery CD to install the OS

  Sorry in advance if this might be a stupid question, but I have not re-installed the operating system for years and don't know how to do.

  I think I need to reinstall cause i've got my laptop for almost 2 years and it became too slow with lots of error messages.

  Have Toshiba Equium L10 with Windows XP and a recovery DVD. The DVD contains Windows XP? Should I format my laptop first or just insert the DVD and follow the instructions?

  And after everything is done all the garbage will be gone and it will contain Windows XP only? And yet one thing I am concerned about my internet work later (I have a cable connected to the LAN) or I will have to do something?
