Tecra M11-134 - Windows 7 USB ports problems

I have three USB ports, that which is a SATA port.

SATA port stopped working earlier, but I reinstalled it, after what it worked again.

One of the USB ports however stopped working earlier, and am now unsure as to if this particular port doesn't show even in Device Manager (I see two entries "Generic USB Hubs", two "USB host controllers", a "USB unit (composed)" and two "USB root hubs"), but who is refers to the regular USB ports and that the SATA port?

One of these entries in the USB port which does not or does not show this port?

In any case, I can't get one of the ports to work even after reinstalling all USB ports.
Can anyone help?

I hope that someone with the same machine will describe the own experience with this, but what I want to know is follow:
Have you tried to reinstall original Win7 32-bit professional and test functionality with the factory settings?
>... even after reinstalling all USB ports
Out of curiosity, but how you did it? Have you reinstalled the chipset driver?

  • Bluetooth Windows 7 USB port problem

    Hello

I use a bluetooth class 1 dongle (manufacturer unknown) with the V 8.00.03 Premium toshiba bluetooth stack and a bluetooth headset. The specifications for the dongle are: Bluetooth V1.2, compatible USB V1.2/2.0

I have a strange problem when changing the USB dongle is plugged. If I change the dongle on another USB port, searching for devices fails. I tried to uninstall the battery and of course remove device from the bluetooth Manager window.

Also, strangely, when I plug the dongle on a USB extension on the same port, it does not either. When I put the dongle into the same USB port it works fine as usual.

I want to change the USB port so that I can get the best reception, like its plugged in to the back at the moment. Also, I want to use the usb expansion for the same reason, to bring out above the office. Oddly, if, as I say, it does not work with the extension (just a regular cable with USB male on one end and female on the other to plug the dongle in.)

Is this something to do with voltage drop down a cable? And regarding the change of the ports usb is it something to do with ports being installed on this USB port bluetooth only? I don't know exactly how ports bluetooth works, how they settle etc.

    Thanks much for any help.

    Hello

    > Also, strangely, when I plug the dongle on a USB extension on the same port, it does not either. When I put the dongle into the same USB port it works fine as usual.

I think you're wrong here buddy
If you use another manufacturer's computer, and if you have problems using it, you should check the page of computer manufacturing support.

In my opinion the question isn t linked to Toshiba BT stack but to the USB ports on your computer.

  • Problem of 2007FP, Windows 10 USB ports,

I have a Dell 2007fp monitor connected to an HP Pavilion Elite HPE Office 10 64-bit windows running. Recently I decided to start using the USB connections on the monitor, so I bought the USB upstream cable and plugged. When I do that, I get a message that says: USB device not recognized. If I check the Device Manager, I get an error message 43. I tried to uninstall the drivers for this port and resettlement. Turned the monitor off tension and back, restarted the computer, nothing seems to work. If I plug my phone into the USB monitors I will load but no other service. If I plug the phone directly into the computers USB I get full access. Suggestions of Ant on how to get the monitors USB ports working entirely?

Because the old 2007FP of 10 years does not have a Windows 10 INF driver for Windows 10 to recognize, the USB hub in the 2007FP are 'invisible' correctly Windows 10. There is not a fix for this. The 2007FP 10 years, has been validated only in Windows 2000/XP.

  • Tecra M11 - 17V - identify the serial port on the docking station

I have a laptop Toshiba Tecra M11 - 17V, which I often use with the docking station that accompanies it.
There is a DB9 serial port at the back of the docking station, but I don't know what COM Port.

    I use Windows 7.

In the device, COM9 Manager - COM22 are identified as Port BT (bluetooth). Com7 - COM8 are RIM Virtual Serial Port v2, COM17 is Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port and COM18 is USB-Serial CH340.

I thought that COM17 or COM18 were the most likely candidates, but have not been able to get to answer using one of them.

I connect a Psion 5 (Comms app) to him and have developed ports and the Psion 8bits, 19200 baud, no parity, 1 stop bit.

    Hello

    > There is a serial port DB9 on the back of the docking station, but I don't know what COM Port, it is

I think you have misunderstood something wrong
COM ports in Device Manager are virtual com ports
There is no link between a serial port and a virtual com port.

I have a question: what docking station you have exactly?

I had an express port replicator and this device required an additional serial port driver installation.

  • On Satellite Pro A300-13Y USB port problem

I have a Satellite Pro A300-13Y with 4 USB ports. The USB ports of two right don t work. I bought this phone recently (2-3 weeks ago). It has a Windows Vista Business SP1 on it. I put chip in utility installed on it, I checked the Device Manager and tried to find driver for it but I couldn't solve this problem.

So I called Toshiba service dek, they say that I need to install new standard to factory install to see if it can be solved. But I don t find it the best way and I have some applications installed on it and get some info on my laptop, so I would find another way to solve this problem.

Also, I think it might be a hardware problem. Can someone show the way in which I can find or fix this? I can also send it to guarantee, but I made a mistake and if there is not a hardware problem that I have to pay for it.

    Hello

I know it s not the best way, but it's the only way to exclude a hardware failure. If after a recovery of the won´t of USB ports not work then you can send it to repair without being in doubt that they will charge you for the repair.

    Welcome them

  • W510 usb ports problem

    Hi all

I have a W510 machine which has 4 usb ports, including 2 3.0 ones (blue marker), 1 still active (marked in yellow) and usb-eSata port a combo. They are all works well with data transfer, but I'm not sure that they do with the power supply matter. The use of two 3.0 ports seem to feed all the time, except when the laptop is turned off (say, my short of cooler for laptop when the thinkpad goes into mode 'sleep'; or I can easily wake up my pc by moving my mouse that is connected to one of the two ports 3.0)

The combined port seems very well, his power goes off mode "Eve" (cooler stops working when it is connected to it)

Always on that seems odd. Power goes off like the combo, but if I plug it into a something like the receiver of my mouse wireless, the machine does not start in the next boot.

Does anyone have problems like mine?

  • USB port problem - peripheral usb not recognized for what I plug

When any device is plugged into usb port (ipod, camera, printer, etc.). I get the message "usb device not recognize."

All the usb drivers have been updated, but I still receive the message.

Hello, just for your info. I ran the patch program, but it didn't really do anything but say I had a problem with something and I had to pay someone to watch. Someone I know told me that the last thing that I had loaded several days before the problem was probably the problem. The only thing that was new was Avast program, so I uninstalled. But this does not work, I still had the usb problem before and after I reinstalled it. Also, I discovered that I had a problem to interface with Avast and after repeatedly talking about them and trying hard and it doesn't work, they wanted me to use their special program program uninstall in safe mode and uninstall Avast. So I did, then I reinstalled it and it fixed the problem to interface with Avast. Then a few hours later, I tried to use my usb ports again, just for the * of it. And quess what, they worked. Yes in some way the avast program stopped my work usb ports, when I installed it first. Avast said he couldn't have their summer program? Well it works now anyway. Thank you, Greg

I have ENVY of HP dv4. There are 3 usb ports in it who works alone. Two ports do not work. Please tell me how can they work? Thank you

    Hi Mtalha,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP ENVY dv4-5211nr USB ports and the laptop does not. Here is a link to Troubleshooting connections USB.

    I hope this helps.

  • USB Port problems

I have a digital camera of Canon A470 Power. It uses a USB port and I've used it before. Now when I plug it in, the computer (a dell) starts. Is there something wrong? Or y at - it another way to open it?

    What does not?

If the camera does not save the connection when it is connected, you must check in the Device Manager to verify that the particular USB port does not have a flag "yellow".

It is possible to manually start the software, but I suspect that the camera is not be recognized by the USB port.

  • Before TC M700 and Windows 10 USB ports

I have a TC M700 and can't seem to find the drivers for the USB 3.0 front ports on the chassis of the tower. I installed all the drivers for chipset, that I could find. There, someone had this problem?

    Run Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit

    Thank you!

Thank you for your response and suggestions.

I opened the case and concluded that the cable connecting the front ports was not connected. It came out during the transport or has never been connected to the factory. I reconnected it the cable and everything works!

  • By using the Tecra M11 - 11J with an Express Port Replicator II

Currently, I have the Tecra on a cooling rack, but I think to buy an Express Port Replicator II.

The question is: the duplicator will dissipate heat from the laptop. It would be useful in this regard?

I would be happy to comment.

    What about John

    Hi John

I agree with Akuma. Port replicator doesn t have the vents inside and you can't wait until the laptop temperature will be reduced because of the port replicator.
The reasons why the port replicator is are different and, in general, has nothing to do with the computer laptop cooling.

  • Tool for creating media, Windows Bootable USB key problem

Hey, when using of media creation tool to download and make N 8.1 Windows Bootable on my 64 GB Kingston, USB 3.0, the process gets all the way to the end before failing and say "sorry, something happened and we could not finish creating the flash drive in the drive I got access denied." So my question is; Why won't it work?

Use the multimedia creation tool to download and save the .iso image file. Do not use it to make the USB. This prevents you wasting time downloading Windows 8.1 and then having to redownload as the tool does the USB incorrectly. Rufus makes the Bootable USB key. Its best to use a 8-32 GB USB flash drive and FAT32 format (64 GB will be truncated to 32 GB for FAT32).

If you install in the UEFI with SecureBoot (new Security Technologies - made systems in 2012 or later systems in 2010-2011 may also have the UEFI BIOS with the latest BIOS update but the settings must be enabled) use the "GPT partition for UEFI computer scheme." Be sure to format it in FAT32 or the USB Flash drive will not start.

If you install in a legacy systems BIOS for systems without a UEFI BIOS, then use the "partition MBR BIOS laptop scheme." Its also recommended to format the Flash drive to FAT32 but not necessary for a Legacy BIOS.

See here where I demonstrate the procedure:

  • Calls to Windows 7 usb port D: at first then 1 disk either

Dear Sirs: just a 16 GB USB key started being called D: drive which is my DVD drive, now it is called disk 1. When I got to change the paths and the drive letter is D, but I was too scared to change. Now, it is called disk 1 and I am not allowed to change the drive letter and path because my console view is obsolete but refreshment and reboot do not allow me to continue. It is visible as a 16 GB under Device Manager device. I have no exclamation mark under USB controllers and have unplugged and restarted according to the recommendations. My convenience store said something like new installed hardware detection issues. I don't know how to assign drive letters if that's what needs to be done. It's Windows 7 Home premium.
Thank you. Once again the simple fixes seem to have no effect.

    Hi PeterStaub,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community!

I understand that 16 GB flash drive is detected as disk 1 and you must rename the drive.

    Answer the questions below.

    (1) don't you make changes to the computer?

    (2) don't you try to connect to the other computer?

    (3) that you get an error message by renaming?
