Touchpad gestures works do not on laptop series 5

I have a Samsung series 5 NP530U3C-A04AU, recently upgraded to windows 8 with drivers up to date yet my touch gestures (scroll, zoom, charms etc.) do not work. I tried refreshing and resetting windows 8, but the problem persists. Help, please

I've updated my software of Samsung and drivers using the SW update and have now a touchpad works fully. It's great!

I'm on the chat live on the site of Samsung and me the link to download from here the support person.  (Can't seem to find it through their site).
Good luck!

  • 11 flow: Flow 11 touchpad gestures works is not in Windows 10.

I upgraded my Stream 11-10 Windows and now the gestures on the touchpad do not work. I can click on something and that works but the scroll and hitting swiping does not work.

    I've updated the drivers.

Do the drivers simply not support this, or is there something I can do to get things to work.

did you try going to the control panel - mouse and touchpad and change settings, (I assume you did)

I had a problem with the touchpad gestures too. The synaptics driver delivered with windows on my hp Pavilion 10 would not save the settings I wanted. In my case, I wanted to get rid of the gestures.  But it would not keep my favorite settings after a reboot. I got the old hp support synaptics driver and it works better for me. The only problem is that windows maintains the new driver. To resolve this problem, you must change the device settings to not automatically download the drivers.

Here's what worked for me to stop the new driver of constantly updating:

  • TouchPad gestures works do not [Aspire V5]

So I hope someone who works at Acer reads this. Or someone who is technically advanced.

So, I first noticed the issue with sensitivity. The mouse is very sensitive. Then I noticed that the gestures do not work either. I can't scroll with the mouse. I went in deep and tried to understand the problem (but no solution).

    So I performed these steps:

    1. Changed the speed of the pointer for the fastest (I didn't like the speed of the slow pointer). The pointer was still quite slow.
    2. Has decided to modify the specific drivers for TouchPad. I go to the tab MOMENTUM under the mouse settings. I look and see that the 'Options' button is greyed out. I also noticed it says "Standard PS/2 Mouse.
    3. I decide to find the software to change the settings and it located in C:\Program Files\Elantech. I open ETDAniConf.exe and decide to do a test. I uncheck the click right left click and some other parameters of scroll. Nothing helps.
    4. Then I decided to uninstall it and install the drivers. Did. Nothing has changed. Modification of the wiretap, the scrolling options button does nothing. The mouse settings still shows as 'Standard PS/2 Mouse' even if the tab says MOMENTUM.
    5. I decided to make a big step and just reinstall Windows 8 altogether using Recovery of Acer. Reinstalled, still faced with the same problem. Always known as "Standard PS/2" mouse
    6. I try another way to try to solve the problem. I'm trying to find the similar driver more up-to-date. I find on that was much more recent (version 2013 rather than 08.2012). To install it, restart computer. Always without success. Always known as "Standard PS/2 Mouse.
    7. I decided to go the final round before asking the question here. I downloaded a copy of Windows 8 Pro from the Microsoft Web site and transferred the ISO in the bootable flash drive. I split the hard drive in a clean score (60 GB) and installed fresh Windows 8 Pro on it, without all the Acer drivers. Of couse I was missing the network drivers, so I had to go to my desktop to download the drivers online. I decided to first download the TouchPad drivers. Downloaded, copied to a Flash drive down them on the Acer laptop. Restarted the computer. Always face the question.

So here I am at the moment. I had the laptop for a good discount of my work (as a bonus working there). It's a time discount. As you have noticed, I mentioned he was grateful as "Standard PS/2 Mouse. It's huge index that tells me that the drivers are really bugs. The problem here is that the TouchPad drivers are not recognized as if it were a touch pad, but as a mouse. A mouse that can just right click, left click.

If someone is facing this problem or knows how to fix it, please help me.

So I worked with a Microsoft Technical Support, and apparently the problem is on the side of the Acer. The automatically installed recovery partition the Elantech Drivers for the TouchPad and downloads Web site showed that the pilots Elantech. After some research, we found the Synaptics drivers on their official website and everything started working normally. Please, please, please, please fix this issue. I am frightened by the number of customers who will have to deal with this issue.

  • Touchpad gestures works do not correctly on Z510 with W8.1

I think the problem is that if I go into settings / mouse and touchpad, it does not recognize that I have a touchpad of accuracy if I can't change anything. The important thing that is missing is edge by scanning and pinch of course etc.

It used to work ok but suddenly doesn't have.

    Any suggestions?

Problem solved. After having tried many suggestions, I finally fell the Windows troubleshooting tool and select 'system '. She finds that some hardware changes had gone not recognised and without 2 minutes the touchpad did not work properly. Thanks for your comments.

  • Touchpad works do not (HP laptop)

    Hi all

I have a HP Pavilion dm4-2165dx Entertainment PC. For some reason, the system is no longer recognizing the touchpad. Here are some details:

-J' already tried typing on the left corner. It does not work.

-None of the keyboard shortcuts work.

-J' tried to update drivers, but I get a message saying that the new driver is the same version as the one already on my computer.

-J' tried to uninstall the current driver, but I don't seem to be able to. The crucial problem is that my touchpad is more listed in the pointing on the control panel devices.  I have attached a screenshot. Note that only my external mouse (HID-compliant mouse) appears as an option.

Maybe it means that there is a problem with the physical connection. Did I forget?

    Thank you very much

    Roger

    Hello

Try these steps below in the case where your Touchpad still does not work it is maybe a problem with the hardware that needs a replacement.

Go to Device Manager and uninstall the driver.

Try to update the Bios and the Touchpad driver from the HP website.

Once the unit is on keep on keep F11 control if touchpad works on a case if it doesn't have a hardware problem.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and will take care of the replaced part.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

If you are out of warranty and you want a guide to replace the part, please let me know.

  • Scrolling touchpad features work only not on Tecra M3

I mainly used a USB mouse with my M3 lately but went to use the touchpad, the other day and found the scrolling features (i.e. the right and at the bottom of the pad, used to scroll the active window) worked no longer. In the window options of two points, the functions are enabled. I tried altering the functions of the pad, but each time, the new settings have not been applied and next time, I opened the window settings, they were restored to their previous state.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Colin

    Hello Colin

I have Tecra M1 and there is the same as on your M3 Touchpad setting. I really don't understand how this can happen. I also use an external USB wireless mouse, but everything works fine. The only thing I noticed is that this feature is possible if the cursor is inside the window where you want to use this feature.

  • N5050 laptop: the touchpad buttons not working do not.

Hey, my laptop N5050 that is now JUST out of warranty started developing problems with the touchpad, a few days ago, mainly by pressing the left button once would be double-click involuntarily. Now the two buttons have stopped working altogether.

Advice would be excellent to remedy the situation. As a result of this problem, I was forced to buy an external mouse, but wish to have my touchpad in working condition. I have experience in building the pc, but never a laptop. If the resolution is should a technique I try a manual correction or another solution?

    Thank you.

I just corrected it and recorded here to answer you.

I had exactly the same problem. I finally got sick of it and open the laptop to see what was going on. Looks like there is a lack of design with the n5050 and some other models that can cause the ribbon cable for the buttons on the touchpad to wave in the open air. All you need to do is to remove the touchpad/palmrest unplug the flat cable on the bottom of things to click buttons (probably disconnected and salty as mine was), blow gently to get the dust out and plug it in again. Here's a video tutorial that will take you through how to proceed step by step. http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=YLIAZFLVrqs It actually shows how to replace, but if you just do what I did, take it apart and clean/re-seat connectors, you should be fine.

The connector I'm talking about is those small tiny ranging from the bottom of the click buttons to the bottom of the touchpad is. It can be seen in the video at the top of the video coming out the metal brackets under the click buttons at 2:37 and the connector is located on the lower part of the clickpad. Ity bitty is and all of the Ribbon cables are fragile so please be careful and do all this at your own risk.

Let me know if you have any questions on what it is and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Jumping cursor, sporadic and touchpad doesn't work does not correctly for HP envy 15

    Hello

I had my HP ENVY 15 t-q100 CTO Notebook PC in September 2014. It has 8.1, 64-bit Windows. For the first few weeks of use, I don't have any problems. Then, I started having occurrences more problems of cursor/touchpad to the point where it happens all the hours of use (not a problem of external mouse):

Jump around on the screen (a few millimeters in inches).

Move per increment on its own without me anywhere near the laptop (usually spazzes left).

Does not allow scrolling functions / normal touchpad when problems are happening.

Works as if I am holding down the click button while I try to move it - mostly frustrating when I make the important work.

At random click things that I try to move it.

Here's what I tried to do to fix this and did not work:

Roll back the driver (did not work).

    Update driver (no update available).

Reset the device (works for a minute or two).

Reboot (I do it everyday anyway).

Reduce the speed of the cursor and other mouse options offered online.

I've seen similar problems for the HP Envy 17 and other laptops, but no real solutions have been proposed. Please help me with this problem.

In January 2015, I received by mail, a brand new Envy 15 t-q100 purchased HP's official website. Packaging and the laptop is here Mint (aesthetically speaking). That being said, I had the exact symptoms described in this thread since the first day. With a replacing synaptics driver, I was able to stabilize the mouse enough to effectively use the tool 'curve of pressure. " Then, I determined that it was in fact a hardware problem. I noticed that from time to time, the "animation" icon would indicate that pressure is applied even if I wasn't touching the laptop. If I applied pressure by pressing or stirring on the basis of the Palm, would stop the pressure indication and use mouse returns to normal. However, this problem gradually went from bad to worse, and finally the touchpad does not have all together. Firmware and BIOS flashing helped before, but has been either nothing change.  I debated on referring to HP for repairs under warranty, but after having to wait a month to get this unit in the first place, in addition to reading all these horror stories of people coming back a semi destroyed unity and always faced with the same symptoms, I was ready to fight against myself. so, I found a source replacement nine track want pads 'zone of control '. Ninety-nine percent sure that I had a defective keypad, I bought P/N "761210-001" to "parts_direct101" for $59.95 ebay seller. Disassembly, I discovered that one of the screw mount for the pad was loose (this may have contributed to the problem). I decided to replace the pad in any case. Finally. No more glitches. After months of experimentation and reading these forums, I have now a mouse working 100%! It's been more than 2 weeks now, since I replaced the touch pad and still no problems! I use my laptop 3-4 hours per day. I always use the synaptics driver installed replacement from "dpinst.exe" found in the x 64 folder downloaded directly on the website of synaptics 'uncompressed'. I have not tried to update with windows update again. Just happy to finally have a mouse to work on this beast of a machine. I'll keep you all posted if this problem will never return. With regard to the absence being automated support generic responses to "Customer Service" aka HP, I guess HP has accidentally put on a bad batch of caterpillars and they simply cannot 'afford' parts, labour and logistics to issue a notice of recall of this magnitude! Unfortunately, this laptop must be completely disassembled to replace the touchpad. I would NOT recommend this fix if you feel that it is beyond your skill level. Instead, call the HP technical support and insist that you have received a unit with a defective keypad. I hope this helps!
