  I got a new imac and I tried to connect it via thunderbolt to my older imac (I have two outputs of crush on the new imac and two cables - one for the monitor and the other to do the older imac a slave). Basically, I want to use the screen of an older imac as a monitor extension for the new imac, and I also want to have access to the hard drive of an old imac. At the moment I can't do both at the same time (even if the two cables are connected). I can either get the extension of the screen with cmd - F2 or the old mac a slave to access the files.   My general recommendation is to remove Little Snitch - this is a great tool, but it also tends to cause problems when network connections are blocked by mistake, and it's certainly excellent fodder for causing paranoia.

  Adware and malware can cause this, but - if you connect to these sites and don't have adware or malware or any sort of anti-virus or anti-malware, or other similar types of tools tools additional loading - I guess it's OS X hides a tile or such.
