UCCE to UCCX

All,

I have a migration challenge where potentially a based contact UCCE Center must be migrated to a new provider through which currently have UCCX Enhanced/Premium.

At this point, the requirements are quite vague, but I'm curious about best practices approach is recommended for this type of scenario.

In total, these are two different platforms. There is no way of migrating UCCE to UCCX or vice versa. Ideally, I suggest that you should take counting composed all number configured currently in UCCE and then use the same to create Points of road ITCS on UCCX assuming the numbering plan will not be changed. You can also make a notes the current routing scripts, TOD configuration so that you can create/design your scripts accordingly. Make a note of the agents configured in UCCE, and then create the same as end users on CM etc.

Apart from that, I really don't think there is much aid in this type of migration because these platforms are very very different. Although the concept is still quite a lot even, but the configuration of the track is made for these two products is completely different.

    Hi, I have a problem with the import of reports in real time.

    Release notes state that the appropriate data source must be configured before import it templetes real-time report.

    Guide of the CUIC user says that historic UCCE and UCCE real-time data sources exist by default when the fresh install. However, in my case, there are only cuic and UCCX configured by default datasouces (UCCX to db_cra). Should I create a data source in time real UCCE? What user/database to use?

    I am running cuic in UCCX, not on the stand-alone server.

    You must create your report on a premium version of cuic, you can then export it and import it in CCX.

    Are you trying to create a kind of billboards? It comes to my lab system not a customer.

    If you import the attached zip file, you will be able to create this view. This reads the rtCSQssummary table, so be sure to enable it in "time real snapshot Config.

    IAM new environment UCCE (have little knowledge and worked in UCCX) and now iam in need to learn more about the company. My company is ready to provide me configuration lab company but they need of requirement as BOM for UCCE.

    Is it OK my doubt particularly on the CTI/OS Server is this component of software that can be installed on the same machine with CVP/IVR/ICM, or is it a stand-alone server. What about a PG?

    Everyone has different ideas here.

    My strong recommendation is to use a big box - say a zone of high performance HP DL380G6 with 16 GB of RAM and run VMWare ESX. Then you can use install it CUCM and CUPS who know that they are on the virtual machines and licenses. There are huge benefits to having the entire system on VMS ESX through virtual appliances to make snapshots and make back - it's so easy on VMWare.

    But if your company doesn't have a VMWare ESX, then you must - a few boxes.

    I do not recommend to buy Cisco's MCS boxes because they are HP/IBM boxes priced at a premium. Just buy the HP or IBM box (of course, I recommend HP boxes).

    What you REALLY need to learn is a correct understanding and deep of the dual nature of the components of the ICM, then I strongly suggest Progger A, Progger B, AW/HDS. A Progger running recorder, the router and the agent PG (with a PIM for CUCM, a PIM for IP IVR and a PIM for CVP). The progger also manages CG (CTI server) and CTIOS (CTI Object Server). You want the separate domain controller.

    This is so four boxes.

    Now, a box for each CUCM, IPIVR and CVP.

    So we are up to 7 boxes.

    It's nice to have a pair of publish-subscribe, if you can afford it. But most do not do this in the lab, so I would pass it.

    You should get a combined bridge PSTN/VXML - CVP. Something like a 2811. You need an E1/T1 card of course and can detach calls for the CVP and CUCM/IPIVR off the a set of channels. 1 E1/T1 will be enough.

    So 7 boxes and a router.

    You also need a SIP Proxy, in my opinion, to get a good understanding of the works of CVP. It can work without a proxy, but this isn't something you would never deploy so you will not learn what you need. You used to be able to install a presence (CUPS) relying on the DLUs CUCM server and use it only for the SIP Proxy, but Cisco recently blocked in favour of the CUSP (SIP Proxy on a router). It is expensive and I don't know if there is a way to do a laboratory at lower cost.

    Jeanie, I know that UCCX 8.x HRC and no cuic. In fact, it is only the customer reports and connect to the database UCCX to pull records and then display them in the form of reports. Now if you want THAT cuic should display the records in UCCX 8 and as I mentioned the only option is to upgrade your UCCX 8.x to 11.x and this way all of your historical data will migrate also and you can then run reports using cuic for the previous time. Apart from that, there is no other choice whatsoever and there never was.

    Hi, looking at the RND for UCCX, I stumbled on the following. My client is looking for default logging for all agents in a contact call center. The following description seems to provide that. Can you please provide information on the concurrent sessions? This contact center will be 55 agents and all need simultaneous registration.

    Yes, it is possible - you basically configure the workflow in use by agents (i.e. probably the workflow 'Default' If this is new to you) so that there is a "Utility Action" of "Start Recording" when a call is "answers." This is configured in office administrator who is the server default UCCX isntalled.

  • Upgrade CUCM 10.5 and 11.5 with Mediasense, UCCX and confirmation of the highway

    Hello everyone, I'm looking to upgrade CUCM 10.5 to 11.5 and try to find out if the version of Mediasense, UCCX and highway are supported and to confirm with the experts that I am mistaken.

    Currently I have the following text:

    CUCM/CUC - 10.5

    UCCX - 10.6.1

    MediaSense - 11.0.1

    Highway - 8.5.1

    So based on the documentation below if I go to CUCM 11.5 UCCX must be upgraded to version 11 and highway be upgraded to 8.8? MediaSense is ok here its version 11?

    ORC evolving documents now States that UCCX 10.6 (1) can be compatible with 11.5 (1) CUCM (plus all patches) after you install the ciscouccx.106x.cucm11xcompatible.14.cop.sgn hotfix.

    I am a contact center analyst in the conversion process our assistance service of an Avaya ACD to 8.5 UCCX Cisco as part of a company-wide VOIP conversion. We are about two weeks of commissioning with UCCX reproducing our current capabilities of Avaya and functionality. At this point, I started trying to find ways to improve operational efficiency and productivity with UCCX in the form of post-conversion changes and introduction of features.

    We use the module BMC Remedy Action Request System 7.6 incident as our ticketing system.

    My question for the experts, with 8.5 UCCX and CAD is possible to create a CSQ non-telephone in queue Incidents our cure to our agents? The aim is to offer tickets in queue to our agents and ultimately be able to track and report on efficiency measures combined. My thought is that this feature should be similar to the functionality of email agent, we cannot benefit from the reason of incompatibility UCCX with our Lotus Domino messaging platform.

  • My colleague and I are editing our first UCCX Call Center Script to include Spanish. Help

    My colleague and I are editing our Call Center the existing script maps. This is our first attempt to script UCCX. They need to break the script in 2 locations, one that already exists for English and a copy of the menu for a Spanish version.  We have tried to include an option for Spanish 2.  We did not want to press 1 for English user, but can if necessary. English is supposed to drop through the menu new or existing. 2 for Spanish is doing nothing.  It acts as if you press anything even if we have an entry identified as Language_Choice and a filter of 2, for the appellant to the Enter key.

    LRM keeps the value of active LRM in the form of a key in the LDAP database(Calabrio's). And all the services/clients use this key to determine which server LRM, they have to connect to.

    Then when the VoIP LUN SS is looking for this key in it is the own Server LDAP database and is unable to connect to this server in the key, this means that it is either the IP address of the IP address of inactive server(Slave's) LRM or they have problems of network/firewall connection between the two servers.

    Could be several reasons such as questions in the data base LDAP, no update of CVD, or simple connectivity problems.

    For the moment, do the following step by step:

    1) Restart the LRM service on the Master Node(Node 1)

    2) Restart the LRM service on the Slave Node(Node 2)

    3) Restart the LDAP Monitor on the Master Node

    4) Restart the LDAP Monitor on the Slave Node

    5) Restart the CCX Engine on the Master Node. (Note, this will failover the mastership from the Node 1 to Node 2)

    6) Once the Engine is up on Node 1, restart the CCX Engine on the Node 2 to fail the mastership back to Node 1

    This should ensure that the key to the address of the Active Server LRM is reset in the nodes (no problem in cardiovascular disease, on the other, you must restart the server after you complete the steps above considering).

  • UCCX with SocialMiner and Finesse - no email no relay

    I am trying to configure a queue by e-mail with UCCX (10.6.1), Finesse (10.6.1) and Socialminer (10.6.1). Exchange 2010 is used.

    The server Socialminer is in the internal LAN. I configured the configuration SocialMiner, Server email and CSQ in UCCX (in subsystems-> menu chat and e-mail). Things look ok on this side. SMTP and IMAP ports are open in Exchange and in the SocialMiner configuration I can see the e-mail server has a green checkbox next to him.

    I have the Finesse of office changed to display the E-mail.

    On the side of SocialMiner however it looks not so good. Under Configuration-> CCX Email feed the CSQ test has an idle state. The test account I set up is getting emails, but they are not relayed to the Office of Finesse.

    I see the following error in the tomcat logs
    2015-10-07 15:57:41, 197 Kingdom of ERROR [http-8080-6]. Kingdom - logon failed for the administrator; result code = 1; message = bad credential

    I don't know where it is a failure if or if its report with the main question.

    If the administrator login details were incorrect under subsystems-> e-mail and chat-> socialminer configuration then the status with the mail server will be not green?

    Someone has ideas for e-mail will not relay why?

    Edit: I should add that I have downloaded the certificate of tomcat.pem of SocialMiner in UCCX.

    In the SocialMiner countryside campaign Email of CCX has 0 contacts although there are 4 mails in the Inbox (Exchange).

    Under manage Feeds, hovering over the State x red it gives the message "unable to connect to the mail server. Verify that the user name and password are correct. Last successful fetch time was NEVER, success rate is 0% '-j' rechecked if user account. I can not even log in the field with it.

    Yes he got to work...

    This was caused by the user name he used in the mail queue.

    He really wants the UPN, not the email address. Since our address e-mail & UPN were not the same, it was a failure.

    Once I put the UPN to match the email address, it worked very well.

  • UCCE/CHP - backup before YOU patch?

    Hi all
    Running packed EAC 9.0.4 & CVP 9.0.1.
    What is your typical backup (if any) procedure before you apply the fixes ES UCCE/CHP?
    Since it is a virtual environment, is it wise to simply clone the servers in question to be used as a backup in case of installation errors ARE?
    Suggest this as preferable method (with VSphere Clone VMs/create OVF) during a more traditional backup as something that could be made in a non-virtualized UCCE environment? (i.e. export config and backup CVP CVP call servers and gateways VXML of OAMP, backup bases CHP, using SQL, back up the registry key "Register of Cisco Systems, Inc.", use the utility NTBACKUP (?), etc...)

    There is no need to take a backup before installing any ON boxes of UCCE. If anything is required to do before applying the ES, the same would be mentioned in the release notes ARE himself. You can follow the above-mentioned procedure that otherwise needs.

    In ADDITION, replaces specific files based on defect fixes and we can easily return if you have questions...

  • UCCX 8 VOIP Monitor Subsystem - off Service

    All,

    Updated 701 (SR5) CCX to CCX 8.0.2 Premium HA activated. Both servers were in SERVICE. A Patch have upgraded to UCCX 8.0.2SU1. Noticed that VOIP Monitor Subsystem on both servers to list as OUT of SERVICE. Downgraded to CCX 8.0.2, always get this subsystem OUT of SERVICE.

    RTMT, it displays the following error:

    I suggest you to restart the two boxes using the command 'restart System utils' and see if it helps to resolve the issue.

    Waiting for the master server at the first reboot until it comes completely, and then restart the secondary zone.
