    Hello

I got a L10 for 18 months. Under the guarantee, I got a replacement motherboard mounted. Everything has been ok so far. A USB port will not recognize devices, a port is ok, but randomly turns off a device attached to it and comes up with the message "USB device not recognized". The third port is ok all the time.

    Any solutions or suggestions?

I guess there is not enough power on the USB ports and external devices may not work correctly. It is not easy to say why this happens, but there may be a problem of welding.

I recommend you contact the service again as soon as possible.

  • USB ports do not recognize hardware

If some ports work and others do not, it is most likely a hardware problem, not a Windows.

  • USB ports do not recognize my mouse

I have a Sony 64 bit computer with Vista. I had the same Logitech VX Nano mouse before but she had to be replaced. I also had computer problems and restored the whole system using the F10 key. Now my new mouse, who has just arrived, this is the same exact model I had before will not work. It is not recognized. The mouse is very well that it is simply not connecting to USB port somehow. I downloaded the new software on the site Lgitech and I'm trying to update my drivers having a pilot online, but nothing seems to work. I'm not a geek and I really need this mouse works because I work online on my computer. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi cadak,

Which of these two is the one you have?  http://www.Logitech.com/en-us/support-downloads?modelsearch=Yes&modelNumber=Nano+VX

You may need to install the software, but also the drivers for the mouse to be recognized (or drivers can be included with the software).  Make sure you have the 64-bit versions.

With the installed mouse and the software and drivers installed, go to start / Control Panel / Device Manager and check that the mouse look and work correctly.

Go to start / Control Panel / mouse and check the settings to make sure that it is correctly configured to work with your computer - especially if it's a laptop with a touchscreen.  If it has a touchpad, I would update the Sony touchpad drivers to make sure that it is not the cause of the problem.

You have another computer on which you can test the mouse to see if it works (if we exclude a faulty new mouse or a USB transmitter)?

I hope this helps.  If no, please specify the mouse so I can read more about the installation and what is required and the appropriate procedures.  In addition, is Vista fully up to date in terms of service packs and updates after reinstalling - otherwise, please do.

    Good luck!

  • USB ports do not detection devices

    Hello

My USB ports are sensors not when I their connection. I hear the noise, which indicates a device has been connected, but when my laptop is trying to install the driver, it gives me an error Code 39.

I see an icon in Device Manager yellow triangle-shaped when a device has been plugged in. I tried to uninstall and reinstall my driver and running fixit (said mass storage device USB has a driver problem and can't fix), but no luck.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Basic Edition and tried to insert a USB Hard Seagate Drive, Kingston and a Sandisk USB key (they all work fine on other computers).

    Help, please!

    Hello Marilou,

    Thank you for your response.

What is the brand and model of your laptop?

I appreciate your efforts to resolve the issue.

I also appreciate the fact that you ran Microsoft fixit.

However, due to USB devices, I suggest you to try the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Uninstall and reinstall the USB controllers and check. Please follow these steps:

    a. press Windows + R keys, type devmgmt.msc in the run window and press ENTER.
    (b) in Device Manager, expand 'USB Bus controllers'.
    c. a device under "In Bus USB controllers" right click and click on Uninstall.
    d. perform the same step for other devices. Once completed, restart the computer.

All USB controllers will reinstall automatically.

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Turn off the "selective suspend" feature of the USB hub driver and check the issue. Please follow these steps:

    a. press Windows + R keys, type regedit into the run window and press ENTER.
    b. look for, and then click the following key in the registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\USB

    (c) in the "Edit" menu, point to 'New' and then click 'DWORD'.
    d. Type "DisableSelectiveSuspend" and press ENTER.
    e. in the "Edit" menu, click on 'change'.
    f. type '1', and then click ok.

Note: This setting affects all USB host controller drivers in the system.

For Windows update number, I suggest you try using the steps described in this article and check.
    Reference:
Error 0 x 80070005 in Windows Update when you try to install updates
    http://Support2.Microsoft.com/kb/968003

    Important notes:
Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/back-up-registry

The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    I hope this information helps.

    Thank you

My Satellite Pro M70 has three USB slots, one on the left and two (vertically one above the other) at the back of the laptop.

The top slot to USB in the back started giving problems. Sometimes, my computer can't see all that I plugged in there. But if I unplug anything - usually the printer or the mouse - the computer will usually see it then.

  • A USB port is not working on Satellite M30 354

    Hello

I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite M30-354.
I bought and I use a stick of O2 in Germany (HUAWEI) surfing.

I used it regularly in one of the usb port, but two days now I can use it in one of the usb ports and if I try to plug it into one of the other, so I can't connect!

It seems a problem of usb port but I don't know. Any help please?

Yes, it looks like one of the ports USB does not work properly.
Try reinstalling the driver for the USB port again.
In Device Manager, you will see all the USB ports/hubs/controllers.
Delete, delete all devices in the Device Manager list and reboot the device.
The Windows operating system should recognize all the ports again
And notes; Disconnect all usb devices before that you would like to try this out.

  • HP 15-r002se: USB port does not

I have a problem with my laptop [HP 15-r002se] all three 3 usb ports do not work, or even detect that something is plugged, I tried techniques to conquer the problem by the system of formatting and reinstalling windows 8 32-bit where I found myself without success, because I can't able to get compatible drivers of troubleshooting. Then I go to the usb ports even on windows 7 64 bit does not. and finally, format and install windows 10 64-bit, I downloaded the drivers from hp website, but unfortunately when I run the downloaded software sometimes nothing appears either to the pop-up a message on the error or continuation and sometimes it shows this kind of error after it finished extracting

Finally with the help of pilots pack that I managed to install all required drivers but finally arrived with NO SUCCESS, yet neither the operation of the usb port. Here is the screenshot of my device manager.

Please, I seriously need your help to solve this problem, because I am a student, I can afford to buy another laptop earlier

    Hi @Mustapha_Musa,

I read your message and please try the following steps. A brilliant work has been done by trying these steps. Kudos to you on this point. It's a problem of clear material with the device. The USB ports are defective, the motherboard should be replaced. you will need to contact HP telephone support on this subject for the machine.

HP technical support are available by clicking on the following link:

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

    (1) once the page opens, please select the country in which you are located. Then enter your model of HP on the right number.

    (2) then choose "Contact the Support" tab at the top and scroll to the bottom of the page "HP Support - contact" to fill out the form with your details.

    (3) Once finished, click the "Show Options" at the bottom right.

    (4) Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Get a phone number." A file number and telephone number will now fill for you.

The workaround, for now, is the following: If you have a USB port on the device that works, then you could buy a USB port extender and connect it to the port good work.

Then you connect other devices to the USB port extender. This way multiple devices may still be connected to the computer.

Just to say thank youPlease click the ' Thumbs Up 'button to appreciate my efforts. If it helps, Please mark this "accepted Solution".

Thank you and have a great week ahead.

  • Pavilion S5-1204: USB Ports does not: Windows 7 HP Pavilion Slimline

    Hi all

Yesterday all of a sudden the USB ports are not read.  I have cameras and use a data transfer cable or a card reader to transfer to the office.  Now they do not read.  Tried the front and back of the usb ports.   However, the optical mouse that uses a usb device works.   I don't understand how the mouse works and the purse strings of data transfer and the readers aren't.

    Win 7 64 bit

    HP Pavilion Slimline desktop computer

    Help!

Update: I did troubleshoot a HP check and update driver.  The screen messages

USB root hub: this device does not work correctly.

    The current tab:

    Generic USB Hub (6)

    1 port available

    Power required: 0mA

    Solved.

I've narrowed the problem to the camera. Very strange. The camera will take pictures and display them on the screen. But something is happening internally where the image will not transmit or transfer it via a usb device.

I have another device with a transfer device and it works. So it seems I have to buy a new digital camera. BTW, it is a Nikon S2800 - not recommended.

According to specification for laptop, your laptop comes with Win8 64bits.
Using the original version of Windows preinstalled?

All that you have done is just, but if nothing is done, maybe you should try to reinstall original recovery feature by image and test with the factory settings.
