Want to 7640 e - everything - in - a: impossible 7640 HP wireless printing

I buy a HP Envy 7640 in end of January 2016 and never have to connect wiressly to my MacBook Pro for more than one print job.  The printer tells me there is no connection, no printer found, or even no paper - when it is completely filled with paper.   I followed the suggestions posted in the forums and nothing works.  I have to reset the printer each time I print.  All software are up to date, I have reinstalled the printer readers, etc.  I was not able to print 24 pages in 2 1/2 months. I bought it at Best Buy, where the return for refund or is fifteen days.  I had HP printers for 20 years.  I am very disappointed.  I would like to return the HP printer.  I saw the information on a forum in recent weeks.  Please help me.  I need a reliable wireless printer.

    I finally got to work.  What I had to do was completely uninstall everything, but I have not used the standard uninstall program.  I used Maxuninstall.  Then I re-instslled the printer on the HP website, not the DVD.  Configure the wireless network and now everything works fine.  There is only one printer.  The only thing different from the first time has been using Maxuninstall and installation of HP and not the DVD.

    I want to 7640. I love it when I never use the document on the top feeder. The other problem is that I can not create a different size on Stamps.com envelope. I had a printer Photosmart I forgot the model number? I was able to create a new envelope on this format with no. Error Message on the printer screen. I know I may have posted this here in the past

    Is there a similar to the Photosmart printer can I get in return for my desire 7640 or get an Evvy printer with out the document Feeder on top and will work with Stamps.com?     Name of the product and operating system: Photosmart 7520, Windows 7 32 bit.

    Description of the problem:

    I tried a lot already if the description is quite long, bear with me here.

    At the beginning everything worked well. After a few months, the printer was not capable of scanning more computers in the network. He could identify them, he was not able to transfer the scanned document. Printing from computers was still possible. I did first network tests, even reset network to factory settings, but everything was fine. Try to solve this problem, I ran HP print and scan the doctor, the program gave me a twain scan error and was not able to fix it. Because it was not able to fix it. I uninstalled the computer HP printing software, reinstall the printer completely and try if it works. Digitization (magicly) now works on my other computer, but I can not reinstall the printer on the computer where I uninstalled the software, because it is impossible to find the printer on the network. I also tried to connect the USB printer, without a bit of luck. I think it's a driver problem, because the computer seems to have many 7520 drivers broken out there. I hope someone has a way to help me, because I don't know what to do anymore...

  • Photosmart Wireless B109n-z: Impossible to connect the printer wireless to the new router

    I just changed my wireless router and can not get my printer to recognize the new router.

    When you try to reinstall with the disc that came with the printer it keeps "quit unexpectedly" at the end of the installation, but before I get to connect to the printer.

    The drive indicates that it is for use with Mac OS X v10.4; 10.5, but I can't find an option to update the web site HP despite it stating that my printer is still supported.

    I can still use the printer with a USB cable connected directly to my table, but this is no help for the other devices I have.

    The CD/DVD software will not work with newer versions of Mac OS X. HP doesn't have the drivers for this printer in Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan. The last driver out of this printer is for Mac OS X 10.6. The only driver available that uses the driver update from Apple. This causes a problem when reconfigure the wireless, as this is the software for help. It would be easier if you have another computer running an operating system that is supported so that you can install the full feature software to configure the wireless.

    As an alternative method, you can try doing as a guideline to connect the wireless printer. We will use the ad-hoc connection. With the ad-hoc connection, you can launch the built-in web server (EWS) to access the wireless configuration wizard.
     
    Use the following steps as a guide:
    Restore the default settings of the network:

    1. Press the button next to the wireless Menu.
    2. Press the button next to wireless settings.
    3. Press the button next to network by default.

    Once the network is reset, the printer should disseminate the ad hoc connection. It should look like "hpsetup" or "HP Setup (and part of the printer name or MAC address). With an IP address like 169.82.12.44.
     
    Then, connect to the network printer, that is broadcasting.

    1. On the Mac in the upper right corner, click on the wireless icon and connect to the network "HP Setup" or "hpsetup".

    Print the wireless test report:

    1. Press the button next to Scan.
    2. Press the button next to the wireless Menu.
    3. Press the button next to wireless settings.
    4. Press the button next to run the wireless network Test.

    Browse the test report wireless IPV4 of the printer (IP address) 169.82.12.44.

    1. Launch your internet browser and enter the IP as shown. This should load the printer EWS.
    2. Click on the tab network across the top.
    3. On the left side, click on wireless or network.
    4. Run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

    This is the only way to reconfigure the wireless, unless you have another computer that has supported the software.

    For more information on the ad-hoc connection, see the User Guide.

    The printer test page will not print.

    I reinstalled several times print driver and lost countless hours trying to solve this problem.

    HP trouble shooting game software didn't say he cannot solve the problem, the troubleshooter in microsoft is not a problem.  I followed the recommendations of this link:

    Same results.  I can get the diagnostic report to print from my computer, I can scan, but do not print.

    I got the latest installer: EN7640_117, I used all HP diags who say that they solve it.

    What is the next step?  I'm about to throw this printer out the window!

    I was able to solve the problem.

    Returns the printer in the store that I've gained since.

    Went to another bank and purchased and EPSON.

    Unboxing, put in place and was printing within 15 minutes.

    Should have done a week ago.

    HP I will never buy one of your printer products!

    I understand that you can print PDF files in color, but not of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, with your HP Envy 7640. I am pleased to see that for you!

    If you are able to print PDF files in color, but not Adobe, then there must be a setting that should be changed in Adobe. Take a look at this article, Let Photoshop determine printed colors, if that's not enough contact Adobe Support, for further assistance.

    As restart the print spooler does not solve the problem, please reinstall the printer and then check if that helps.

    I want 110 e - everything - in - a D411a - currently, print all the pages of my iMac (OSX El Capitan - v 10.11.6) test, but the printer shows as inactive when I try to print documents or emails etc.

    I understand that you can't print from iMac running to your craving for 110 El Capitan. In General, idle indicates that the printer is ready and waiting for a print job. Given the efforts that you have already done, I recommend resetting your printing system, repair disk permissions and then re-adding the printer (instructions to follow). If this resolves the issue please click Accept as Solution button below; If not, let me know and I will do everything I can to help.

    Reset the printing system

    1. Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.
    2. In the hardware section, click on Printers and Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan dialog box opens.
    3. Do a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left panel and then click on reset printing system...
    4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
    5. Type the name and the correct password.
    6. Click OK to reset the printing system. The printers and Faxes dialog box shows any selected printer

    Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

    Repair disk permissions

    • Click on your desktop so that it is written next to the Apple Finder icon, and then click OK (you will see this next to the Finder after file, edit and view).
    • Under Go, click Applications.
    • In Applications, select utilities.
    • In the Utilities folder, you will see disk utility, double-click on this icon to open the disc utilities.
    • Click on your hard drive, and then click first aid. Click OK to allow it to run.

    Once the repair is completed, restart the computer and add the printer to the back.

    When you add the printer, please ensure that you use the HP driver.

    1. Select Add another printer or Scanner
    2. Select the printer you are adding and next to the 'use' select the printer driver. As you can see from the image below, AirPrint driver will be automatically selected by default. You will need to choose your printer driver instead. Using the HP driver will help to isolate the problem, if the problem persists.

    the printer is connected with a networkcable on my router and I print wirelessly to the printer from the computer laptop and Ipad.

    How is it that it takes so long. is it because I have it plugged into my router, or is this something else.

    I installed the printer with the DVD that was in the box.

    I see that you have some problems with printing from your PC to 10 Windows to your desire 7640 e - all - in - one printer. I can help you with that.

    First of all, this printer does not have the capabilities of cable network. Whatever the cable runs from your printer to your router needs to be removed. Once the summer is over, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Now:

    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. While the printer is turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router for a minute.
    3. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.

  • Want 7640 does not print color, but is printed in color on the Page of Test of Google Cloud Print

    I can't print the colors in a print job from the Web via Google Cloud Print / ePrint.   It prints in black and white.

    However, if I print a test page for Google Cloud Print, it prints in color.  I can also print a color copy.  My ink cartridges are filled.  When printing using chromium, the color preference is set to 'color '.  Everything works as expected.  The printer is capable of printing black & white jobs from across the internet.  The device is on.  Paper is in the tray.  The plateau is in the printer.  There is no jam.  I am trying to print source documents have color in them.  I am completely seen, and would be able to see the color in printed documents, if it existed.  Forgive my recitation of what is obvious, but I just spent several hours on a hotline explaining and reexplaining that my test print from the Web, color print.

    My environment is printer Envy 7640 and HP 11 Chromebook

    HERE IS WHERE THE CAUSE MAY BE:

    When I visit the page of Google Cloud Print to http://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/ , I am able to click on "Try It Now" to find my printer, select 'Grey_CMY' color 'Color', click 'Print' to generate a single color test page.  However, I can't find any way to save the preference of color by default, and when I go back to the Google Cloud Print Try It Now page, color is set back to "Grey_CMY".  So even if I'm selected in the print dialog box color Chrome , it may get deleted by default in Google Clout black and white printing.

    Any help is appreciated!

    OK, here's the resolotion: when printing the dialog box, there is the link at the bottom of the dialog box "Print using the Google Cloud Print dialog box.  From there, the PAG printers are displayed by default of Grey_CMY can be substituted for the color and the job will be printed in color.

    So, I can't change the default, but I can ignore it, which is fine with me - I just need to know can I print in color.
