WiFi no reconnect after sleep

After that make one of the ThinkVantage updated, I don't know which, I had a problem with the WiFi.

After the sleep or Hibernate, WiFi is not connecting to the network.  I have to run the store and it will often fix and reconnect.  Sometimes I have to restart.

There is also an annoying problem that even when it is plugged in and works well, the tray icon always show the network icon with a red x, the place of the stems of a wireless connection.  I don't know if these problems are related.

I have T510 with Windows 7 32 bit.

That's what finally fixed it for me.

I had reinstalled the drivers, but it was not enough.  I had to:

1. download the current drivers

2. uninstall the network so drivers wireless has been removed from the Device Manager

3 reset.

4 reinstall new drivers

Now it's working.  Obviously, you want to have the new downloaded drivers before deleting your wifi. duh.

  • WiFi very slow to reconnect after sleep or Hibernate (or even at all)

Hello everyone, I have seen similar topics on this topic before, but none of the solutions have worked for me. I am unable to connect to any WiFi after my return to laptop computer to a low power mode (sleep or Hibernate) for sometimes the lengths of time up to 2 minutes. Either an orange star/circle shape appears in the on the icons wireless system tray saying network connections are available, or the icons of progress of rotation turns constantly and never connects. If I want to restore the network connection, I have to restart my computer, or disable and reactivate the NIC (Intel WiFi Link 5300AGN) wireless.

Things, I tried to fix the problem:

    • Uncheck the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" under power management in the wireless adapter, properties of the device AND hub USB root
    • Change my power Plan to High Performance and set the parameters for the adapter wireless for 'Maximum Performance '.
    • Turn the empty screen saver on and off turning off the display (recommended on a forum I found)
    • Uninstall Virtualbox (suggested on another forum I found)
    • And I tried all the drivers I could find for my card without result

If it helps any, I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on my Dell Stdio XPS 1645.

My guess is that even if the wireless card is said (in addition to one!) not to turn off or sleep, she does it anyway. Is there another solution I'm missing somewhere?

I've had this problem for months now, it becomes more frustrating. I would really like to avoid putting fresh with a new installation of Windows... Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Very nice work to try to turn it on.

    -------------------------------

    A general comment .

We all have a general problem. There are several 3rd party applications installed and used the insert themselves in the Windows network components, some of them also modify the default configuration. Most of these applications is not thoroughly test. They are tested to work, but usually it's on a certain simple standard system. He has not tested, and take into account hundreds of iteration of network configurations of end users with a wide variety of material and other related network applications.

These applications include 3rd-party security costumes, managers of networks, 3rd part of the network of assistants, virtual applications, users to play with the settings found on the Internet with limited info on what they actually do, and many others.

To complicate the problem, some of these applications load at startup process and interfere with the network, even if the application is disabled, or and uninstalled.

I found rather known 3rd party networked application that allows to leave about 100 entries in the registry and a Undelete-able desktop the icon, after that it is uninstalled.

As long as it is sad, because sometimes it is the only functional solution is re - install the operating system on board back to the standard State.

    -------------------------

Regarding energy saving, there could be more settings.

Look at the BIOS of the laptop too, some of them have on-board hardware system.

Also look at the start and the process to ensure that there is no use of 3rd party involved in managing WIFI.

    This can help to discover.

  • WiFi requires reset after sleep

As soon as my macbook goes to sleep and I wake up, the icon indicates that it is connected to my wifi network, but there is no internet connection until I turn off wifi and then turn it on again - if I do that, it connects perfectly. I've updated to the version the most recent of El Capitan and restarted my computer several times.

Ditto.  I wish that someone would respond to our question/problem.  I got a MBP this past Christmas and love it, but find this very annoying problem.  My iPad Air, iPhone 5 and Windows 10 laptop Lenovo have no problem to stay connected to the internet on the same wifi network, which makes me want to point the blame on my MBP, not my WiFI router or your internet provider.

  • WMP600n wireless PCi adapter do not reconnect after sleep

I have a Linksys WMP600n PCi adapter installed in my desktop PC wireless and after recovering from the night before, he doesn't do not automatically reconnect.  I have you right click on the wireless icon in the system tray, then select "repair".  I would say this, it is 9 times out of 10 (1 times in 10 seems to me good luck and it restores the connection).

I have a motherboard Asus M4A88TD-M with 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and I'm under Windows XP Home Edition (SP3).  There is only one PCi slot on the motherboard.  In addition, I do not use the software provided with the product, but rather the native wireless networks wireless network software application supplied with Windows XP.  I had this problem with the original driver that comes with the product CD and the problem persists with the latest version of the driver.  I have no active set into hibernation and there is no power active modes of economy on the PC.

I have considered all options in the properties/Advanced tab Wireless 600n and the awake mode the continuously and disabled the power saving Mode, but the problem persists.

I have two other PCs with older PCi Linksys WMP300n cards and they don't exhibit this behavior after recovering from the previous day - they reconnect with reliability.

Anyone else have this problem with WMP600n PCi cards?  All solutions?

    Thanks in advance.

I found the problem.  There was a program called "Hot Spot Shield' on the PC that installed a virtual connection of the Miniport network ("Anchorfree HSS adapter") along the side of the hardware (PCI) wireless network connection.  The operating system seemed unable to load any network connection during the restoration of the day before due to the presence of these two active connections.  The solution was simply uninstall and remove the Hot Spot Shield software.

    How can I fix it?

    1. Yes, I checked all power options, they are very well

    2. Yes, the properties of the wifi adapter are ok, no power save active

  • slow to connect to WiFi after sleep

I have a Mac Book Pro late 2008. Just installed a new SSD Yosemite running. It takes up to 30 seconds to connect the ti WiFi after sleep.

Try to purge your list of favorite networks and dragging the networks you really want at the top of the list

    System Preferences-> network-> wireless-> advanced-> preferred networks

The Mac will go through the list looking for networks to connect to in the order that they are in the list.  Reduce the size of the list and make sure that those you really want is near the top of the list.

  • iPhone disconnect WiFi in case of sleep

My iPhone warning disconnect the wifi when sleep but will automatically reconnect after a few seconds, when I turn it back on. I don't know what happened, but it just started a few days ago.

If it's important, I'm in iOS beta and race 10.1

    Hey pontais,

Thanks for you using Apple support communities. I can see from your post that you are having problems with a Wi - Fi disconnection when your iPhone 6 is not in use while running iOS 10 beta. The public version of iOS 10 was released with the latest version being 10.0.2. To isolate and help solve this problem, we want to go forward and you updated to the release version with the procedure described in this link below:

    Any software beta iOS

Download the final version of iOS

If you have a beta version of iOS and you want to download the final version, follow these steps:

    1. Connect your device to iTunes.
    2. When your device is connected, force it to restart. Press and hold buttons sleep/wake and Home at the same time. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep now until you see the Recovery Mode screen.
    3. When asked, choose updates to download and install the latest version of iOS nonbeta.
An update installation does not affect your settings or content.

Once you have downloaded the final version, monitor your Wi - Fi again and let us know if you experience the same problem.

    See you soon.

  • Accounts, lost after sleep

    Hello

I have a problem with the accounts.

After sleep, the Macbook loses all accounts and applications such as mail, reminder, notes, calendar, Safari,... are suspended and do not respond.

The only solution I found is to restart the Macbook.

After the reboot, all accounts keep popping up.

Below, a screenshot with the accounts.

This screen is empty after sleep.

    Hi Damien_D,

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

It seems that your MacBook Pro behaves unexpectedly after he wakes up from his sleep, and you cannot use Internet accounts until you restart.

I recommend going through these troubleshooting steps If your Mac does not sleep or wake up when expected. (Although the title of the article is different from what you see, the steps can help yet.)

    • Reset the SMC.
    • Reset the NVRAM.
    • Disconnect external devices other than your Apple keyboard, mouse, and screen. If that solves the problem, gradually reconnect your devices, testing each time until you find the device that interferes with sleep. And then check the documentation that came with the device or contact the manufacturer of the device.
    • Start in Safe Mode to see if the problem is related to startup items not Apple, login items or kernel extensions.
    • Try to isolate the problem by using a different user account.

    Best regards.

  • with 10.11.2, Mac Pro 2013 wakes up not 4 k shows up after sleep as before.

I installed 10.11.2 today and found that the Mac Pro wakes up not 4 screens connected to the thunderbolt ports k. I tried many kinds of 4 k screens, including u28e590d, u24e590d, p2716q etc., but none of them is waking up after sleep. the only resolution is to disconnect and reconnect the thunderbolt (view port) cable a thunderbolt different port.

these screens all work perfectly with 10.11 and 10.11.1.

    Steps to reproduce:

1: having a Mac Pro 2013, configurations and install 10.11.2

2: Connect a screen 4 k as u28e590d to the thunderbolt port, using mini-displayport cable.

3: let the Mac Pro sleep

4: when press a key or click the mouse, the Mac Pro will wake up but the screen won't wake up 4 k.

    Hello.

  • Some applications does not respond after sleep (El Capitan)

Product: 13 '' Macbook Pro retina (12.1) (base model sheet)

    El Capitan Version: 10.11.6

    The problem:

When I connect after that my Macbook went down, I often have problems with some of the stock apps. In particular, I had this problem with the Mail Messages, reminders and calendar. This seems to be a problem when they are open before putting the macbook to sleep. This same problem happened with non-apple-stock applications.

Once logged in, if I click on the application icon, the application window will come into focus. After that, I'm unable to use the application (as if frozen) and I often just see the spinning Rainbow mouse icon.

Can I force quit the app and then open it again, but now the application does not load.

To solve the problem, I can restart the macbook and all is well.

Some others probably associated with funny things I saw (only attracted to this once... but did not look at one time or another):

I open the calendar application after the macbook was sleeping and my full general calendar was empty (which would be nice if it were true!). In any case, I checked the 'accounts' and also found that there was no accounts! (I have 3 goes). So I wonder if there is a problem with the accounts after sleep since these apps I've had problems with all iCloud account and mail also uses some other accounts.

Big Question: Is there something I can do to make that happen?

Thank you very much for your help! Sorry if this is a double post, it is difficult to find an answer via google search.

Start Safe Mode removes the system caches that can help...

Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

Then try to Message, Mail, etc.

If you still have problems, check the startup disk.

Launch the disk utility located in/Applications/Utilities

Then select the disk to boot on the left and then select the first aid tab and then click run.

The freeze after sleep 8 10 times while Thunderbird already worked very well. Also noticed a small empty Popup which may not be rejected. Must be completed via the Task Manager, restart OK.

This is a known issue that gets attention.

Alternative WORKAROUND: Until a permanent solution is made, I hope that in the next update, if you want to avoid the Thunderbird crash try setting to be disconnected before the sleep/hibernation file. Offline | Work offline. Then do the same again after the wake up the computer to put it online. Or, in the case where the only problem is Thunderbird not getting not new messages, do both after the wake up the computer.
