WiFi works, but Apple Store crashes trying to connect!

I just got a new Macbook Pro when I try to connect to my application and/or iTunes account it just hangs. I got a good strong signal to my wifi. I still can't browse the internet through safari very well. I can still access my account through Apple.com very well. What seems the problem?

I just got a new Macbook Pro and I'm having the same problem - anyone have any ideas?

Your Windows XP question is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows XP Networking forum.
  • Apple Remote Desktop tries to connect to some weird areas

Firefox and osx elcapitan 10.11.4 15E65

It's so weird that lately my ARD tried to connect to areas randomly I searched on the web. Little Snitch reports she's trying to connect to 'gist.github' and the other day he tried to goto "krampus".  As I said it's strange behavior since it's the kind of thing I entered in google.

    All advice is appreciated.

I would be a little surprised if Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) have been connecting the specified web sites, you can post what Little Snitch reports as the source and the destination of the connection?  Also please post what version of Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) are you using?   3.8 (A 380, 95) is in course, at last I checked.

My general recommendation is to remove Little Snitch - this is a great tool, but it also tends to cause problems when network connections are blocked by mistake, and it's certainly excellent fodder for causing paranoia.

Adware and malware can cause this, but - if you connect to these sites and don't have adware or malware or any sort of anti-virus or anti-malware, or other similar types of tools tools additional loading - I guess it's OS X hides a tile or such.

Here is a previous related discussion - even if it is not of the ARD.

  • WiFi works but Ethernet does not work

I just changed the ISP. I use the modem cable of the MRC, which is the same as one that uses Xfinity. I'm also using a Linkysys EA4500 router. I have not had any problems with setting up yesterday before they changed over this morning.

I have two iMacs (my wife and I). If the modem cable is directly connect to one of the two iMacs, the internet works fine. However, when the Linksys router is part of the configuration, the iMac to my wife can connect via the Ethernet port but my iMac won't. My iMac can connect via WiFi. However, he won't be able to connect if I use an Ethernet cable.

I have already reset the router to factory setting and restart the iMac and clear the PRAM, switched Ethernet cables. What happens here?

The problem you describe will occur when changing the device connected to a modem cable without having to reboot the cable modem. Cable modems that are not as routers will communicate with a single device and refuse to connect to what anyone else, until you cycle power.

Turn off your modem cable NCR and leave that it turned off. For reasons I don't understand (and will may not be not necessary), some cable ISPS also recommends disconnect physically their coaxial cable modem to perform a reset "full." During this time you can turn off the Linksys router also. Connect the iMacs to the router, either its LAN ports, via an Ethernet switch directly. It is not necessary to turn off Macs.

Wait a few seconds, then reconnect the cable to the modem if you disconnected and turn on both the modem and the router. It should work.

  • Windows 10 wifi, works, but can not see my wifi at home

I have a mac mini in 2012, I installed windows with bootcamp 10, windows different wifi networks are available, the only problem is my own wifi at home never appears.

-my mini mac detects and connects to my wifi at home very well when running OS X

-my windows laptop 10 detects and connects to my wifi at home fine

    -various phones/tablets etc connect well

    I tried many things

    -restart the router

    -movement of the router

-in the Device Manager on windows 10 in bootcamp, everything looks like it is good, there is no exclamation point anywhere, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the wireless drivers, but it makes no difference (wifi networks are available, but not my home wifi)

I can't really think of anything else to try.

    Someone at - it ideas?

After some time googling, I fixed this problem by using a web browser to go into the settings of the router and changing the channel wireless from 13 to 10.  my wifi at home and then immediately displayed.

  • DN1030. Wired WiFi works but not wireless, even after moving the unit next to the modem

I have great wifi range and cable modem speed.

My wife saw a video from You Tube Streaming PARTY so I bought a DN1030 to replace an old music receiver and a Blu - Ray BDP - BX510 a player couple so she can listen to the same music through the TV speakers.

The readers Blu - Ray picked up wireless in 1 minute.

The DN1030 think for a few minutes and tells me that the connection fails.

I have temporarily moved the DN1030 next to my modem (it was only 15 feet away) and there was no change.

I even reset the receiver and tried to update his software (it does not need).

I temporarily connected it with a Ethernet cable and it works.    Tested with airtime and the PART.    Great flexibility.

I can't move the modem or connect a cable to the DN1030, so I really need a wireless receiver.  What do you recommend?

    A different model?

It is highly recommended that you plug your STRDN1030 has / V Receiver to a router or a modem/router and not just a standalone modem because stand-alone modems assign IP addresses to internet equipment as your Sony receiver.

You can contact your internet provider to get a separate router or upgrade your modem existing to a modem/router device.

  • Browsers (Firefox, IE, Chrome) work, but all the other programs to connect to internet

A few days ago I noticed that I can't browse the internet more. I tried firefox, IE and chrome, and they all could not load a Web page as if I had no internet access. I tried my adapter wireless and wired LAN to connect with the same results.

However, AIM, Skype, steam, zune, etc. can all connect to the internet, either wired or wireless.

I do remember not all changes of importance specific to my computer. I have to update windows and my nvidia drivers a few days ago, but the internet worked normally thereafter until my current problem as described above.

I have a windows 7 (64 bit) with avast antivirus, zonealarm firewall. I don't remember the last changes made to one of these programs that cause this block. Previously, everything worked very well. All other computers that connect to the same access point do not have this problem.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

I'm always sure of fairy.  It could be a different configuration, but more than likely it is that your machine is not configured for web access via VPN.  I'd be willing to bet that your VPN administrator must add your IP address (or, more likely, your address NIC M.A.C.) to list authorized on the network.

  • N5110 display not working, but when the external monitor is connected to come

My screen does not work and I often hear 8 beeps at startup which indicate a problem with lcd display. But if I connect an external monitor, the LCD lights up also and then I can disconnect the external follow and work with my built-in screen. If I turned off or in hibernation etc the same problem occurs.

    Hi rndb_v,

LCD screen could be about to fail, or it could be a cable problem. I suggest you try reseating the LCD cable. You can find the manuals here http://dell.to/1n5lDxb

  • WiFi on but green light on the airport is not

I and Airport Extreme. WiFi works, but the green light is not lite. If I unplug or click the reset button, it flashes orange, and then darkens. I ran a diagnosis and everything he says is done, which is to use a unique name, use WPA2, connects automatically, etc.  Why the green light does not illuminate? Is it important because the WiFi is on?

The Green LED has probably failed. As long as everything works OK, you can ignore the 'question '.

However, if the airport is 4-5 years, it would be time to start thinking about a replacement... given that the average life of the airport lasts about 4-5 years.

  • Ping works but the browser unable to access internet etc.

XP on an EeePC the Internet book.
I can't ping network addresses, but I am unable to use IE or Firefox to access pages on the internet. I use Avast Antivirus; It will be impossible to update. I suspect that windows update no longer works, but I have not tried.

I ran msert.exe and windows-kb890830 - v4.0.exe in safe mode, no virus no indicated, but when I run them in normal mode both suspend the computer while checking wmplayer.exe.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

If I undestand you well, you can run this command ping: ping www.yahoo.com, no problem, but when you're using any browser, you cannot access the web page www.yahoo.com, can you?

First you can try - full reset TCP and Winsock by this command line command - click on Start - run and write CMD , click OK. Then write this command:

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh int ip reset log.txt

  • Why is - 17.151.38.201 trying to connect to my mail server?

I use 5.1.5 server in my OS X server, and I have the Mail service is enabled. In my logs, I see several messages like:

    POP3-connection: Info: disconnected (no authentication in 0 seconds attempts): user = <>, = 17.151.38.201 rip, lip = xx.xx.xx.xx

    or

IMAP-connection: Info: disconnected (disconnected to auth was ready, whereas dry 0): user = <>, = 17.151.38.201 rip, lip = xx.xx.xx.xx

where xx.xx.xx.xx is the IP address of my mail server.

Why that IP (which is an Apple IP address) trying to connect to my server using IMAP or POP3?

As you the indicated this address and in fact the entire block 17.x.x.x is all owned by Apple of the IP addresses. Other than Apple's Push Notification traffic which is not the most common cause of traffic incoming , i.e. traffic from Apple and go to your network is the "Accessibility" of Apple test traffic.

I would say that in this case it seems that it is indeed Apple do a test of the "accessibility" for your server.
