Wireless printing solution

Your answer in the link below regarding "black ink only" development on the HP Office Jet 6700 Premium was very useful. I am looking to buy a color wireless printer which also allows you to print in "black ink only" without the use of ink color. What are the best to meet this need? I looked at the HP Envy 5355. Who would meet my needs?

http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/Ink-toner-cartridge-printhead-issues/HP-OfficeJet-6700-premium-won-t-PR...

Thank you very much for the help!

The envy 5355 user manual indicates on page 49, it supports the mode single cartridge.  This printer has a black cartridge and a tricolor cartridge. This printer will support printing with one or more empty colors, or with one of the cartridges completely disappear.

HP and other printer manufacturers have technology another printer for different needs.  For ink jet printers:

  • Some have integrated into the ink cartridges print heads.  These printers can print generally with one or more of the colors completely empty, or even with color or black cartridges (but not both) removed. 5355 Envy is an example.
  • Other printers have separate replaceable printheads and inks.  An example would be the Officejet 7110 printer.  In these printers print head can be replaced if they are damaged by running the printhead with colors off.  Some of these printers allow printing with a color, the other will not.  If the printer is run without ink in one or several colours, the printer may be damaged, but the user may be able to recover without having to send to the printer for the service.
  • Other printers have permanent print heads.  To run only those without little ink in all colours would risk causing damage to the print head because of clogs, air ingested in the printhead or grilled printhead resistances of shooting. The Officejet 6700 is an example of this type of printer. For printers with fixed print heads that could require the service to get the printer to print properly again when the ink is finally replaced.

The document described here how the ink is used.  The document is written for inkjet printers HP the same principles apply to printers inkjet from other manufacturers.

  • HP 4500 wireless printer: printer all-in-one cannot scan glass

My hp 4500 wireless printer worked fine until it just stopped printing.  I reintstalled the original installation disk and printing has been repaired.  However, the desktop icon for the hp Solution Center, which allows scanning of computer files, has not been activated, and accordingly, I am unable to scan from glass.

New driver from HP site could not install completely and still have the same problem.  I tried to reinstall the existing drive, and it is still able to print, but still can not sweep.  The desktop icon is always off.  Didn't test the fax.

I have here an updated driver that contains the implementation complete for the 4500 Wireless: G510n-z

My system is Windows 7 64 bit.

    Please answer.

    Hello @rudetom,

I would like to see if I can help you get your Officejet 4500 Wireless software working again.

Looks like pieces of old software is causing the installation to fail. I would like to clean at the far (unisntall) and try again.

When you have uninstalled the printer software, it is possible that pieces of it may remain which could interfere with a reinstall. I recommend referencing the steps described in this document to make sure that you haven't missed anything whatsoever; Uninstalling the printer software. * If you are connected with a USB cable, be sure to unplug it.

You can also delete files using disk cleanup - take care to put check marks in selection boxes when it is available.

Software drivers can hide other places would be in your device manager.

    To open Device Manager:
' 1) click on start (Windows icon) and enter the Device Manager "in the search field.
    2) click on Device Manager.
    (3) you can click on View, in the upper windows and then show hidden devices.
    (4) to develop the types of devices and check for any pilot associated with your printer.
    (5) to remove a device from Device Manager, right click on the device name in the list and then click on uninstall.

For more information, see device for Windows 7 Manager information.

Once you have removed everything, I restart your computer and then try to download the new software again to HP Officejet 4500 Wireless - G510n full feature software and driver.

If you still have problems, please let me know what kind of error you get and how your printer is connected to your computer. What is direct installation USB or wireless?

Please let me know if any of these steps has resolved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

Do you mean that you HAVE downloaded the driver from the Brother website or ask you if you have TO download the driver?

Yes, you need to download the driver (because I assume that you don't have a CD for the Netbook player and so cannot use the CD that came with your printer).

    http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/DLF/DLF/000000/004400/dlf004455.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=mfcj265w_all&type2=1&OS=7&flang=8&dlid=dlf004455

This printer is responsible for integrated wireless network, so it is unclear what you mean when you write that you set up wireless "for a desktop Dell Windows 7 operating."  Usually, we use a network printer is NOT connect directly to a computer, but to allow the printer to connect directly to the network, either through an Ethernet cable to the router, or a wireless connection to the router.

If your printer works on the Windows 7 computer WITHOUT being connected using a USB cable, you have things correctly.  And, if the printer is not directly connected to the Win 7 computer, there is no need to configure sharing the printer on this computer, and you should not do.  'Sharing' in the sense of network Windows means sharing a resource that "belongs" to a computer, such as files on the hard disk of the computer, or a printer attached to the computer via USB or parallel port.

Just download the software package for the Netbook and follow the instructions on the download page, linked above.

  • Samsung tablet wireless printing

I'm trying to connect the samsung tablet to hp officejet wireless printer 4610 I downloaded the correct application, but my samsung keep showing I can only print on a samsung printer.  My iphone worked perfectly

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

Samsung has coded the "Print" function to look for their own printers.

To use ePrint, you need to choose 'Share' instead, and then directly the ePrint file or send the file as an attachment to your printer.

The latter assumes that you have registered your printer with HP Connect and have received the e-mail address for him.

Another solution is an option of $13.  There are two programs in the game store tailored to devices from Samsung - PrinterShare and PrintHand.  I used both to print on my printer wifi and BlueTooth OfficeJet 150.

(I am not affiliated with each application, just an end user).

  • Boxes wireless printer work without connection to the modem HP 6700 printer

My printer is located on the second floor of our House. It is connected to our network with the modem and the router to the first floor where my wife's computer. This connection works fine.

My problem is that my printer only works if connected to my computer with a USB cable. This limits the use of a number of functions of the printer. Print the test pages that I myself say the printer is connected to the home network, but the printer will not work without the USB cable that turns off the Wireless function.

Most of the instructions I've read show that I need to be connected to the modem downstairs to work. It is not possible that I can tell.

Is there a way to fix this? or is a wireless connection to my printer not possible with this configuration?

    Thanks for your help

    Bill6700

    Bill,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

You don't mention what kind of computer of mystery that you have and try to use the printer.

Assuming that the full feature software is available for the operating system of your computer, this may solve the problem - multiple computers can print once installed wireless printing software.  I hope that your computer is among the supported systems.

General instructions to install the printer software

    Reminder:

    1. In most cases, the Solution Center has been replaced by the wizard of the printer.
    2. Shortcuts to the Printer Wizard must be installed on your desktop during the last part of the installation.

    Windows operating system:

    • Open drivers HP & downloads
    • Enter your printer model information
    • Select your printer in the list of the 'results '.

    OR

    • Enter your operating system the menu drop-down
    • Click NEXT and scroll down
    • Find the driver - product Installation software category
    • Select the driver of base, e-print, or full software functionality
    • Save the package *.exe Setup on your computer

The files will probably save in the "folder"downloads. "

Don't forget to search for updates as necessary for your installation. If available, you can download print and scan doctor and / or other programs of category - utilities.

    • If you have control of "Admin", you can highlight the package and "double-click" to install it, otherwise just right-click, select run as administrator and install.

    NOTES:

    • Look at the bottom half of the main Web page for your printer for helpful videos help with the installation of the printer software!
    • Scroll through the list of videos back until you find the video that best fits your situation.
    • If you use a USB connection: download and install the driver software before connecting a USB cable.
    • Ethernet: connect the printer to the network and (optional) assign the printer IP address to the router. Once the printer is connected to the network, make sure that the printer is on, and then install the printer software.
    • Once the initial installation is complete and functional, check / install category - updated

There is valuable information about the Web site, including your Manual, sections for Troubleshooting > How-to's, Troubleshooting > solving a problemand alerts and notifications for your printer.  Be sure to take a comprehensive look at what's available.  To bookmark the page.

  • Connected wireless, printer but not scan

Well I just bought the 120 want wireless printer. It is connected wireless to my Mac. It allows to print but when I try to scan it does not find my computer. I entered the printer utility and selected scanning to computer, but keep the error message it is not communicating with the printer. (Of course, it's because I can print wireless). Is there a solution to this problem. My wife is running windows and it works perfectly for her through the wireless.

I spoke to a representative from HP who went on the site of Apple and downloaded the latest version of the MAC compatible print driver. It took to connect with 4 different representatives of HP to solve the problem. I understand the difficulty, however, I think that technicians need to get on the same page. How one Tech may know exactly what to do, then the 3 others sent me in a different direction? The problem has been resolved so thanks to HP staff.
