Accredited calibration laboratory?

Is a national, a certified calibration laboratory?  I have been treat National w for decades (purchase of cal certs) and now the Co I work for says that National is not a certified cal lab... whatever that means.  I thought that as long as your laboratory is traceable to the National Bureau of Standards that you have been taken into account... "certified".  is there a higher level of certification?

Thank you

If you go to ni.com/calibration you can find the CERT of calibration that NEITHER has.

  • I'm checking accessibility writable EEPROM and calibrated... is possible outside the laboratory?

I'm checking the EEPROM of nonvolatile calibration of the PXI-6115 controller card is accessible only by technicians of the calibration.  It cannot be written to or altered in any way.  The letter of volatility indicates she has 4 k x 8 bits of access read/write nonvolatile, limited API.  Only 5 bytes are available. for user-defined (custom) data.  Does this mean that the API and the 5 bytes are PW protected and cannot be customized by the technicians of Calibration or does that mean that they are available for anyone to write and record on the map?

I also try to check the information even for the PXI-5411 and PXI-4060 cards as well.

    Hi JenW-

The 5 bytes of "user-defined information" are writable by anyone with access to the device through NOR-DAQmx.  In LabVIEW, you can write (and read) these bytes via the calibration information property node.  In the C interface, there is a corresponding attribute to write and read the same thing.  The rest of the EEPROM content cannot be changed by the calibration software and not can be written or read directly through NOR-DAQmx.

    I hope this helps.

  • Make a translation specific LR of monitor in the laboratory?

I am new to Lightroom and did not dare in PS again. I just upgraded from a Mac Book Pro, iMac. I have a calibrator screen Spyder Pro5 and I used it to calibrate my monitor. Thinking that I was ready, repaired a few photos of the beautiful landscape (shot on Nikon D810 in RAW) and exported and then uploaded to the Photo of the Bay. Impressions approached back on color by far on the density. After a few emails back and comes with the support of the Photo of the Bay, I had the note below. Clearly, I don't want to give up my iMac nine, so there the advice of others to help me?

    Bay Photo e-mail:

We do not recommend using Apple-brand monitors for calibration printing. They are designed to make the images on-screen pleasant to the eye: contrast, saturation high and bright. The result is the user in compensation because of these attributes - the images on the screen will appear always brighter and more vibrant color correction-no prints will be.

    Here are some recommended monitors:

    Recommendations:

EIZO ColorEdge series, starting at ~ $1000
    NEC - P, PA - or SpectraView series, starting at ~ $600
Series ASUS PA, from ~ $400
Dell UltraSharp PremierColor series, starting at ~ $500

In general, a good monitor, designed for a rendering of the colors accurate, must have the following characteristics:

    Resolution: 1920 x 1080px or better (16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio)
Contrast ratio: 1000: 1 or better
Color support: 1.07 billion colors or more
Viewing angle: 178 ° or better

The little Apple monitors is pure BS! Your problem is your laboratory whose color is not very successful (bet that they require to send you documents to sRGB; awful).

You want to match a print view, here is a video to walk if she. Yes, Eizo and SpectraView are a reference display system much better that what Apple offers, but you must all properly calibrate them for a match. Also consider using a picture of color like this reference: http://www.digitaldog.net/files/2014PrinterTestFileFlat.tif.zip and http://www.digitaldog.net/files/Gamut_Test_File_Flat.tif

  • Yellow/green Cast in Photoshop CS6 after calibration of the Retina display

I use a MacBook Pro with screen Retina and color eyes display Pro with colored eyes to calibrate my monitor.  It works perfectly, except that when I open Photoshop (or even the Adobe updater now), the entire screen goes clear green / yellow!  See the attached photo, it is quite nuts and give you a headache after a few seconds to look at it.  I tried the turn of thought of treatment GPU, it would conflict with that and a dozen other small attempts to get rid of him and nothing!  I'm finally back to calibration by default for the Retina display, and it's not that bad, but obviously not yet calibrated.  I can't for the life of me find someone else who has this problem, I'm crazy?

    Thank you!

    photo.JPG

Well, then, I really only reported it because I thought that maybe in the future someone else would have encountered the same problem.  I found the solution!  Color eyes Display Pro spits like a version 4 ICC profile and the LABORATORY made 16-bit file.  It turns out that is not compatible in some way (would love and technology Adobe answer for me is - what GPU or something else listen here?).  Fortunately, there is an option to change color eyes Display Pro.  I changed it to "Matrix based" instead and voila!  Here is a screenshot from wherever the option is, just click on "profile"parameter and change the second drop at the base of the matrix.  ICC v2 has not worked for me either, any program that crashed.

  • Satellite A505-S6005: creating recovery discs power calibration error

    Hello

just bought a satellite A505-S6005 and try to create recovery discs.
    I am using Dynex DVD - R.

He created the 1st disk after the slightest mistake 2 times and when I started the 2nd drive continued to get again the message that is OE01BS-26 error Code - 2 said A 037303 power calibration area error occurred, check the disk for dirt or scratches.

The disks are not scratched, and after going through 5-6 discs wonder if something is wrong with the optical drive & not the disks.

    Any help appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hello

I think it's a problem with your DVD media
    You are using incompatible disks!

Try different DVD from different manufacturers.
I m using the Verbatim or TDK DVD-R and my CD/DVD drive handles these discs without problem.

  • Calibration of the monitor on the Satellite L755-18Z

    Hello world

    Here's a question:
    My screen is very bright.
In NVIDIA Control Panel, I have 2 choices:
    1. other applications control color settings
    2 use the NVIDIA settings

If I choose nr. 2 - everything works well until the next reboot - ' other applications (I guess Windows OS) "takes over - monitor is very bright once again, and I need to go to the NVIDIA Control Panel and apply 'use NVIDIA settings' again. (However, the brand remains in option 2, and I have to mark opt. 1, then mark opt. 2 again and press the "Apply" button). Everything is a bit irritating.

Someone knows what to do in this situation?

    Hello

Check out this Microsoft page on the color management settings
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-color-management-settings

Very interesting the calibration of the screen part where you can find a step by step instruction how to enable disable calibration loading Windows.

It seems that the standard calibration of Windows crushes the nVidia settings and in my opinion, this could be resolved by disabling the Windows calibration.

  • HP Designjet T3500 printer: Printer - scanner calibration target T3500 is not accepted

We need to calibrate the Analyzer (rolls and glasses are empty) our T3500 printer, but the calibration target is not accepted (calibration target is not valid), we tried in user (maintaining the image quality) and also in service (service utilities - validation scan) mode, but in both cases, the target of calibration is rejected. Same calibration target has been used for calibration of the T2300 scanner without problem.

T3500 has the latest fw. installed.

Please advice if you have experience with this problem, thank you.

    Hello

Finally, the problem is solved by the black pencil..., there is a box of identification (such as a bar code) on the upper right corner of the calibration sheet, even if it has been used to sentence, but some places on this label were dead black and we have improved in pen and now the target is accepted and calibration is successfully completed.

Thanks for your time and your suggestions.
