Addressing the memory card SD embarked on my HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a directly from a PC

With my 6500APlus the memory card SD has been accessed in my case as http://192.168.0.111 \memory_card but this syntax does not work with the HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a. Can someone tell me what syntax will work?

Dean

Hi deanp,.

Follow these steps to map the card reader

1. Insert the memory card into the printer
2. open my computer
3. click on network drive mapping
4 Select the letter of the drive you want and enter the folder \\192.168.0.111\memory_card
5. click on finish, and the Player opens for access to the files

Win 7 Home Premium, 32-bit and 64-bit PCs, wireless connection to the printer OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911a.

When clicking on the icon of the desktop printer, or to access the HP program in the start menu, MS Notepad opens the interface instead of the interface coding. It's a constant problem since the installation of the software in November 2012. The software has been installed on all three 3 PCs with the disc that came with the printer. All three 3 PCs suffer the same problem of no interface, only Noptpad with the code.

I uninstalled the drivers and firmware (using Revo) completely and reinstalled from the HP Support download site. The problem remains.

The interface of Scan function works perfectly in the start menu.

Other than that, the printer works fine when access to it to print from the sites, as well as the printer works perfectly with all functions when using the control panel touchscreen printer.

    Any suggestions or help appreciated.

    Hi Bobhist,

I understand that you have a 8600 Officejet which is not able to open the wizard in the printer on 3 different computers. I'm sorry to hear what is happening, but I'd be happy to help you!

I would recommend you have a look through this HP Printer Wizard opens with an error in Script or in Notepad and you should then be able to use everything as planned.

Hope this helps, have a nice week end

  • Single line vertical when using the ADF to Scan or copy on HP Officejet Pro 8600

Printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium (CN577A)

    OS: MS 7 64-bit

When you use the ADF for my printer HP CN577A Officejet Pro 8600 Premium, I get a single vertical line on the document which is produced. This occurs when copying or scanning, both black and white and in color. If I scan or copy using the glass, I do not get the vertical line.

I already tried troubleshooting.  I unplugged the printer, left without electricity for several minutes; that didn't fix the problem.  Then, I cleaned the rollers and glass; I always get the vertical line, but only when using the ADF.

My firmware version is up to date (CLP1CN1150CR).

    What should I check next?

The only difference between the ADF and scanning flat, from a point of view of the scanner is there on the glass, it happens.  I suggest you get a bright flashlight and examine the corresponsing area hence is the line, it's almost certainly a spot on the strip of thin glass which is being just in the right place.

I've seen some people suggest that put a flashlight almost parallel to the Strip, it shines from the bottom can highlight the area problem.

  • How to connect a USB modem fax when the phone line is connected to a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus 4 - all - in-one?

So I have a HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus (4-all-in-one) that I normally use to fax documents for commercial purposes. I became more and more tired for the first printing of documents directly from my computer to be faxed to another office. It is a waste of paper, ink and time. For this reason, I would like to set up a fax modem so I can use Windows Fax & Scan on my Gateway with Windows 7 computer so that I can directly fax documents from my computer to the recipient fax. The only question is, I have a phone line that I use for my fax and which is directly connected to the fax machine, but I understand a Faxmodem USB also plug into a phone line as well. How can I configure the USB fax modem without compromising the current telephone line attached to my fax machine? Do I need a splitter? I can still use my fax machine to receive faxes and fax all paper document not found in my computer (for ex. documents I received by mail).

It is always profitable read the documentation provided with the device.  If you had, you would know that the software provided with it will allow you to fax documents directly from your computer without printing it and scanning first.  Download the software (and the user's guide - page 63- here.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a: E Print email address

    Hello

Don't know if anyone can help. My 8600 has had a problem which was under warranty so I call HP just reset my printer that tell me to try it. Unknown to me my eprint information was wiped out too. Before I had time to put things up once again the problem came back and so I rang again HP who sent me to a different printer. I changed the printer and tried to set up eprint, which he gave me a new eprint email address. I tried to put my old email address in, but he said that he had been taken (Yes by me). I looked in help, but having said that you will need to print the code of the old printer to move it to a new.  After putting all the bits in the old printer it says that my original settings for eprint had been cleaned, I guess it was when I did the reset. Now how to get back my original email.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    @Biggleswick

I'm sorry, you've been around the block on this several times - and it is good that you now have a printer that works.

The bad news: the algorithms (code) used by the email ePrint software do not re - use your new ePrint email address - even if it's your own e-mail address.

You must assign a new ePrint email address whenever you need to reset your ePrint for some reason email address if it's your fault that the custom address has been lost / reset / manhandled.

Perhaps this restriction will be modified in the future... It is hoped for that to be the case.  Grumble, grumble, book the mouse on the desktop...

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 n911a - configuration of the network folder

    Hi all!

I ran into an interesting issue with my Officejet 8600.

I wanted to network configuration scan to a folder hosted on our server running SBS 2011. We have a generic scan account that has read/write access to the server share, \\server\scans.

I've set up the folder via the web interface of the printer.

The problem is that when I test the connection, it always returns the same error: connection failed.

I tried to use the IP address of the server instead, but nothing helped. I don't know if that helps any, but I see that it immediately gives me error when I use the IP address. When I use the name of the server, it takes a little longer to return the error.

We use the account analysis for other printers on our network with no problems. I do not see any of what failure of audits on the server event logs, so I don't know if its still knock on the server.

    Any advice?

BasikStuff, honestly one of the easiest ways to save the scans is that there is a direct Email to Scan app available via web services, which has streamlined save scans a lot.

However, I would recommend reading this document:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?objectID=c02588080&prodSeriesId=4214021

It is written for LaserJet business, but the process should be similar for your printer as well.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911a: You need to connect to the network each power on

All of a sudden, I need to connect to my wireless printer, whenever I turn on. I had the printer for several years without having to do that. I have a new router but I got it for a few months. I read something in the documentation on setting up a static IP address, but cannot find a way to do it from the homepage of the printer (EWS).

    Mike

OK, I figured out how to set the dynamic IP printer and remembers that I had put the range extender to be priority in the router, when I took that things started working again.

What great resource is this forum!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911a is no longer prints except the test page or status report

The object printer worked fine until today when it stopped printing from my Macintosh computer.  I am able to print very small application PAGES but message with any normal print job, I get the following messages:

    The printer ready

    Preparation print

    Connected to the printer

    Print page 1

    (slight noise of printer)

    100% full

    The printer ready

In other words, she almost immediately jumps to 100% full when in reality it has not yet started printing.  It then acts as if it was ready for an another print job saying printer ready.

DonovanH thanks for your help.  The result is that now the printer works because of some experiments I did.  I pass the steps you suggested and I still had the problem, but further experiments showed that the pages that would be printed not had a warning that they are associated with "character borders are not supported and were removed.  I don't know why this document in particular has these problems, but I find that all documents without such warning prints fine except that they seem to often slower than expected.  Any document with this warning indicates quickly as it's done 100% but it does not print.

  • Assistant to the printer for Officejet Pro 8600 (N911a)

    Hi gworilla,

I have included a document with measures to correct connection errors when you try to scan for detailed troubleshooting. Please choose your operating system (Mac OS X 10.8) and if you have a USB or network connection.

A "connection error" or "No computer has detected" Error Message is displayed when scanning

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium. When I insert the memory stick of my camera (Memory Stick Pro Duo w / adapter), all lights on the Panel of the printer with the warning flash, turn off the printer. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi there ImaTazzie73!

I saw your post on your premium 8600 Officejet showing you lights flashing on the control panel of the printer when you insert your Memory Stick Pro Duo w / adapter.

After checking in the specs, I don't see the type of stick memory supported, which could be the reason why the printer shows a warning.

I suggest you try one of the sticks of memory in section of support.

    I hope that helps!
