Agilent 4156 new driver plug-and-play (pulse-installation problem)

Hello, I am new to Labview and just started using the Agilent 4156 new plug-and-play driver published on 02/12/2008. I try first to set up conditions of STRESS using this project. While I am able to configure most of the things that I need, I can't set the peak pulse value using the program "Set Pulse.vi". The Readme for the driver mentioned that this program has not been tested. The error message is the following:

Reports of the instrument:
+ 181, "illegal installation. Invalid command. »
-113, "undefined header."
+ 0, "no error".

Can someone help me with this problem?

Thank you.

Thanks for your reply.

I think I solved the problem. There are syntax errors in the "set up" Pulse.vi (PUL has been used instead of PULS in two places). He is now able to set the basic and advanced.

In addition, the way is designed the vi, it will always give an error because he tries to put in tension (possible only when a VIEW is of type V) 'Source' and 'Base' / 'Peak' tensions (only possible when the PGU is a type VPULSE). I removed the parts that I didn't need.

FYI, I use an Agilent 4156 C. In the configuration screen, the revision of the CPU is 1 and the revision of the software (03.06 HOSTC, CUMS 04.07, ADC 01.00).

  • possible bug in Agilent ENA series LabVIEW Plug - and - Play (project-style) Instrument driver

think I found a bug in this driver and I wanted to get confirmation.  (Here's the link to the driver page, to help locate the driver):

The VI in question is public > Action-status > configure > marker Configuration > Configure Marker.vi.

The question that I saw was that the marker was not be set to the frequency transmitted to the VI.  (The parameter named 'Stimulus'.)  I looked at the guide to the programmer for the Agilent 5071 B and decided that the format of the SCPI command string should probably:

    %.;:Calc%ld:Mark%ld %s;
    : CALC % ld: % ld MARK: X % lf

The ": X" had disappeared but seems necessary.

    Can this be verified?

Thank you for taking the time to look at it.

    -Joel

    Snood1,

I took a glance at the driver and manual of the programmer. It seems to me that the driver behaves as described in the manual should. Configure the Marker.vi use the following string to format the command:

    %.;:CALC%ld:MARK%ld %s;
    :CALC%ld:MARK%ld:X %lf

Is that what you see too? Looks like that's what you added yourself. What was the previous text? This is the text that was there when I downloaded the driver. When it is interpreted, it looks like this

    :CALC1:MARK1 OFF;
    :CALC1:MARK1:X 0.000000

As described in the ENA series Programmer manual, the first turns of the line of the marker reads OFF (page 283). The second line sets the value of the marker 1 (page 295) stimulation.

Let me know if this looks OK to you.

    Thanks for reading this.

Just bought a number of HDD 2.0 USB 750 GB external PX1395E.
I want to use to back up files from my old computer to my new computer.
In fact, my old pc recognizes the HARD drive (plug-and-play) and I already copied the required data.

BUT: my new computer, with Windows XP Professional, Service pack 3. Does NOT recognize the HARD drive.
I used several (versions 1.1 and 2.0) USB ports and everything is connected to the way that it should.
Windows tells me that I have plugged 'something', but is unable to recognize what it is and I can't use the material.

I think I need a driver to make this work. Site Web de Toshiba does not provide this particular driver (I checked, but it cannot find).

Is there anyone with a solution?

    Thanks in advance.

Another way is that reinstall you the chipset driver. Look at the Toshiba site to download and choose the right one.

I'm running on Windows Vista Home Basic. I don't know what happened, but this morning when I turned on my laptop Dell Inspiron 1420, the blue screen of death appeared saying that "Plug-and-Play detected an error, probably due to a faulty driver. She also asked me to 'Disable the BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing the' but I don't know how to do this, because it does not appear on my BIOS settings. In addition, the message suggested that I go on safe mode, but whenever I try to go on Safe Mode, the Blue Screen of Death keeps re-appearance, so I can not go on Safe Mode or the other. And one other weird thing is that when I press F8 (press the key to early startup options) I get to select an operating system to start: Microsoft Windows XP Embedded which is weird, because as I said, my OS is Windows Vista and I don't have any other OS installed in my laptop. • [Solved] HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT20L periph. CdRom SATA has a driver problem. The driver faces a problem of Plug-and-Play device.

Recently, I noticed that my CD/DVD stopped working. He turns, but nothing happens; the disc is not read.
I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit on an HP Touchsmart tx2z.

I ran the Microsoft FixIt program through http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982116 and it has identified the following problem: 'HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT20L periph. CdRom SATA has a driver problem. The driver faces a problem of Plug-and-Play device. »

However, FixIt said that he was unable to solve the problem and discs are still read.

I manually uninstalled the driver in Device Manager and then scanned for the hardware changes. The driver was reinstalled, but with the same problems as before.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Also, try following the steps for Windows Vista, which should also work in Windows 7, in the MS KB article:

These measures, to remove the UpperFilters and LowerFilters, values if they exist, in the registry key named can help.

    Hello

The driver for any optical drive is provided by Windows, then you should just connect the new device, but it can sometimes avoid problems by doing this as follows.

Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.  Expand the DVD/CD = ROM readers, made existing right click the device and choose uninstall.

Once completed, stop the laptop and made the new optical drive.

When you start Windows, then, give it a few minutes to load completely and you should find the new drive is running.

  • Windows XP 32 bit ceased to recognize plug and play devices.

Recently, I had a virus and had to reinstall windows. After installation, I've updated all the drivers and Windows updates. My mouse, keyboard, monitor, and wireless adapter to work correctly. I followed the instructions of the manufacturer again and again but it never connects. His grateful sound because when I turn on the printer or offshore, I hear 'bing', but it doesn't connect. I used the "New hardware found" Wizard with the disc in the drive and it looks right and research, he never does the program on the disk. I tried to use the camera to Windows and the scanner Wizard with no luck.
After that I gave up, I tried to use my camera, that has worked well until I reinstalled it and it happens "New hardware found" and the "new hardware detected" appears, but it does not recognize the CD, just look and watch for hours.
