Bit Torrent keeps windows from sleep

Hi, so I finally found the culprit. It's bittorrent keeps my pc mode 'sleep'. Here's the powercfg-file of queries:

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation.  All rights reserved.

C:\Windows\System32>Powercfg-demandes
DISPLAY:
None.

SYSTEM:
\Device\HarddiskVolume1\Users\Asbaat\AppData\Roaming\BitTorrent\BitTor [PROCESS]
rent.exe

AWAYMODE:
\Device\HarddiskVolume1\Users\Asbaat\AppData\Roaming\BitTorrent\BitTor [PROCESS]
rent.exe

C:\Windows\System32 >

OK, so what I would do. I've also disabled that closed thanks in advanced settings and unchecked "prevents the pc from sleep mode" but still this message in cmd and the pc does not sleep. What should I do?

EDIT: I just realized that even if the torrent is stopped, the message always appears in cmd and it prevents sleep.

Finally found my solution: here, it is a guy named Jason:

For those who face a similar problem, but has another powercfg -lastwake or powercfg /requests answer this command can be changed and can help you.

You can override an application system, display or awaymode emitted by any process, driver or servicein windows 7.

Suppose that uTorrent itself has indicated that the process that finally woke up your OS.

powercfg -requestsoverride "PROCESS" "utorrent.exe" "System"

Will override any request system issued by "utorent.exe".

Lets say you want to override all requests for uTorrent:

powercfg -requestsoverride "PROCESS" "utorrent.exe" "System" "Display" "Awaymode"

Replace "utorrent.exe" by any process that can be to wake up your PC.

We'll find other options with the command powercfg /? this command going to prevent your system from awakening of any process, or service given the appropriate command.

I have a problem of resumption of the functioning of the laptop that follows "sleep" or "hibernate".

With the connected USB-232/4, the computer does not return the Windows normally.  The display does not return (without backlight or external video output), but the LED indicators (bluetooth, disc, power, etc.) appear normal.  When I remove the USB from the USB-232/4, the display reverts immediately to the State before the mode 'sleep' activated.  Tried all 3 USB ports - all the same behavior.  No index by using the event viewer.

    Solved the problem!

The BIOS has a setting in the section advanced to Wake Up capability.  Compatible USB S3 Wake.  Now, the USB-232/4 is powered over the recovery of the standby mode.  When this feature is disabled, the USB-232/4 light not upon resuming from sleep mode and probably hung up the pilot, preventing a normal recovery.

  • Pavilion Elite HPE-180 t, windows 7 64 bit started to stop the sleep mode.

Pavilion Elite HPE-180 t, windows 7 64 bit began to stop in the past few weeks.  It seems to happen from the sleep mode.  I leave the computer for more than 20 minutes, and when I come back, it is turned off.  When I start again, I have an error message and be able to start in safe mode.  I start in normal mode and I get an error "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" without solution.  I also see an action center say error - consider sending additional information about a problem with the ATI display driver (graphics card is ATI Radeon HD5450 1 GB).  When I click for the solution, says that this solution could not be downloaded.  I've updated my drivers.  I haven't added a new hardware or software.

    Thanks HardBeatZ (HP).

I did as you suggested and I had to uninstall several times because the device picked up previous ATI vs the generic drivers.  In any case it still stop with the blue screen of death when waking from sleep mode.   Then I went back and installed the latest graphics driver from the HP site for my system. I still had a few stops.

Then I went through all my devices and checked for latest drivers.  All said that the best version is already installed.  Then I noticed that my HP bt500 bluetooth USB 2.0 adapter had only a driver available for windows 7 32 bit (I have installed 64-bit).  I used a keyboard and bluetooth mouse.   So I unplugged the adapter and have resorted to the USB keyboard and mouse and closures of blue screen stopped.  It seems that the network card was originally wake up from its sleep.  I also disabled the reactivation of LAN in the properties of the network adapter device.

  • Windows 7 not waking from sleep mode

    Hello

Lately, my DELL Inspiron 580 (Windows Home Basic) caused problems when I try to take out the "sleep mode".

    The symptoms are:

    * Moving the mouse, the LED monitor and Tower remain 'orange '.

    * When I press a key on the keyboard, the Tower starts to emit a higher than normal Purring noise level, it seems to be the fan, but I'm not sure. Monitor LED lights too but shortly after, the monitor switches to "energy saving" mode and doesn't. The Tower continues to emit "fan noise" and its LED remains white, but it does not start, or so it seems that the monitor remains dark.

    * In this State, if the Menu button on the Dell monitor is presses pressed, it flashes a message indicating that no signals are received from the PC.

    * If I turn off the Tower, the Tower power button, and try a bit later, the PC starts, but after a few attempts.

I would be grateful to receive advice and suggestions.

  • 10.11.4 position of the window off the screen after awakening from sleep + external display

Does anyone else have problems with windows being placed off screen when waking up their MacBook Pro from sleep mode or when using an external monitor?

I have a 15 "rMBP and regularly connect with lid closed to a Dell screen 4K P2715Q. Whenever I wake up from sleep, many of my windows are off-center and move the windows from the edge of the rightmost to the Center.

I can't say with certainty if it is specific to the application or for all windows, but Mail.app and Messages certainly do.

I will do some tests later and post updates. Thank you!

If it's the position carries no report available to the larger screen?  (i.e. If the laptop could match the larger screen resolution would be the 'shift' appear in the same place, as the laptop was a cut from the larger screen).

  • I use the 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 from the Satellite on the Qosmio?

    Hello

    I have 2 laptops Toshiba, Qosmio X 300 - 14U and Satellite T130 - 12 K, and my question is:
I use the 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 from the Satellite on the Qosmio?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi frakri,

What drivers tell you exactly? Display, chipset, sound, etc. ?

Theoretically, it should be possible, but it s according to the material. For example if your Qosmio has the same chipset as satellite you can use these drivers. Otherwise it wouldn't work because the hardware is different.
    First, check the features!

In addition, you can get all the drivers here:

  • 10 updated Windows now HP Pavilion won't wake up from sleep

Since I upgraded to W10 this week, my laptop now wake from sleep.  I searched on the net and so far cannot find people having problems with their laptop in standby.  I followed the advice of one of those on the HP forum, update a driver, that I thought could not wrong.  It made no difference, however.

When I come to wake my computer, which was always simply lifting the lid, now nothing.  The power indicator lights up in solid and wifi lights up orange (as opposed to his usual white solid while the machine is running).  Other than that, noting.  No tapping of pressing or screen button any it will not bring to life, and the only solution is to hold down the power button to force a complete stop and start again.

Can be only 3 days into it, but it's already driving me crazy.

    Any suggestions welcome!

    Thank you

    Julie

It is the way I got it to work.

I made an iso of windows 10 Microsoft windows 8 and then downloaded factory restore and reinstalled.

Yes, you will need to first save since you do a factory restore, but so far, he awakens from his sleep when the lid is opened or closed. Also seems faster start and stops correctly also, something he didn't have before. I did not try to roll back to 8 because I've heard of problems this. Don't know if it works for everyone, but it did for me. I hope for good. Will make it count if it changes so no one loses time try.

  • Bluetooth is not ready after waking from sleep on Windows 7

After updating my Tecra M10 Windows Vista x 64 Enterprise to Windows 7 x 64 enterprise, sometimes, when I wake up the laptop from sleep, Bluetooth is not ready.

Hibernation does not solve the problem, he needs a reset which is a problem for me because I usually have a lot of open applications.
In this case, the only Bluetooth devices in Device Manager are:

    * Bluetooth RFCOMM
    * Bluetooth USB Controller-5 at TOSHIBA

When everything works well, the Bluetooth devices in Device Manager are:

    * Bluetooth RFBUS
    * Bluetooth RFCOMM
    * Bluetooth RFHID
    * Bluetooth USB Controller-5 at TOSHIBA

How can I restart Bluetooth without having to restart the entire system? Turn wireless on and off the silder side does not work.

  • Fingerprint reader not working not not upon awakening from sleep for the windows login

    Hello
I have a new T540P with a validity fingerprint reader.

About 80% of the time, the fingerprint reader does not meet the windows login screen after the wake up the computer from sleep mode. It works 100% of the time when starting from a stop position, however. Once connected, it also works 100% of the time. The question arises when you log in to windows.

    I tried many things

-uninstallation/installation of the device in the Device Manager and finger print manager pro software

-prints of setting through two fingerprint Manager software pro (lenovo) OR through the windows built in options of the control panel of the fingerprints

-disabling "allow windows to turn off this device to save power" in Device Manager.

Thus, I must say that I have an another T540P I ordered as a replacement. Both models encounter the same problem.

Is it a matter of broad platform affecting all models of T540P? It's frusterating.

    Hi George P Boutwell,.

Thank you for using answers Forum.

I think that VMware has a 64-bit/function version. You will need to contact them to verify this.
64-bit to 32-bit is not supported by Windows Easy Transfer, as far as I know.

    I hope this helps.
